This app is worth every penny, and has truly changed my workflow as an in-house bookkeeper. I used to spend HOURS manually making journal entries into Quickbooks, but with both the COGs and Shopify payouts features, I post to QB, go to QB, match, and bam you're done. It takes some time for initial set up, to map each account into your Quickbooks correctly, and I definitely had to figure out a few odd things, but once you get it working, it's 10000% worth your time.

I've been a user of A2X for about a year now and previously just used the Shopify to Xero integration. I recently decided to make the upgrade to also have the PayPal to Xero integration set up, to cut down on manual end of month reconciliation across multiple currencies with the FX variances between PP & Shopify being a bit painful. I had my complimentary 1 hour onboarding meeting with Nicole from A2X and the experience was 11/10. Super friendly, helpful and patient (actually put in the time to teach and help me understand instead of rushing through things, whilst still making the most of the time), achieved all the set up I needed and I've just been finalising the implementation and so far I'm very impressed. All her explanations were incredibly clear and instead of an awkward onboarding meeting it felt like chatting with an old friend (not your average onboarding experience). The software is also very dynamic to adapt to new scenarios and truly does make it so much easier on the end user. Thanks so much Nicole - I really appreciate it.

I recently installed an enhanced MRP software integrated with QBO. As a result, I needed to upgrade the e-com revenue software and add functionality to reconcile Shopify and Amazon transactions into QBO. I did an extensive review of several software products. The assessment included many questions to A2X, mainly via their incredible messaging system which was VERY helpful. I decided to purchased A2X because I felt that it had, by far, the best functionality. The installation and mapping of A2X was very straight forward. But at first, I was having trouble getting the reconciliations to work, so I was a bit spectacle. Then I had the onboarding call and in 30 minutes they unlocked the full potential of the A2X functionality. A2X has created a truly remarkable software product. The reconciliation process is a complete game changer for our company. A2X is going to save us many hours of time each month! The A2X support, using the messaging system, is very good at promptly answering any ongoing questions, of which I have had few! I’m so happy with my decision to purchase A2X! I strongly recommend A2X as a total solution to tracking and reconciling e-com revenue transactions.

First I must say the software is amazing and any small business owner should use it. I quickly was able to connect all my JerkyNSpice channels quickly on my own, until I started Shopify which was done a bit differently and I kept getting stuck. Andrea in support was nothing short of amazing and quickly helped me troubleshoot the issues. One was even one she had never seen (feel those always happen to me! :)) but we quickly set up a shared screen and powered through it together. I have used A2X in the past, and decided to give it another shot because of the ability to map to accounts rather than only to Products/Services like many similar softwares require, which creates issues and unneccessary complexity for our business. I am SO happy that I did, I have seen many huge improvements with the software functionality and the UI/UX is by far the best of the many that I have tried for a variety of businesses. What stands out the most is the Customer Service - the Support Bot is pretty spot on, but when it isn't or when I need more customized help, the team is always quick, helpful, and super kind. Definitely an A2X user for life now and have recommended it to several other accountants since doin the most recent implementation.

I was having trouble transferring access to this handy tool after an accountant left, and initially just tried to do things myself because I rarely have an experience with support that is anything more than frustrating. The trial only allows you to see 3 payouts, and for us this just shows a couple of cash transactions and a bunch of strange $0 payouts, so we can't actually verify if the software works. The response from support was to badger us to pay. Nope... going to try something different.

First of all the assistance in setting this up for a non-accountant skilled business owner was great but most importantly is once the app is setup it saves hours, and I mean hours. I have used A2X for two months now to integrate Xero with eBay, Amazon and Shopify. Lana, Jennifer and Nora have been great, they are responsive and proactive, and my issues are resolved quickly. This app makes bookkeeping quick and simple. Two small issues I have found is that using 3rd party apps in Shopify may cause issues surrounding taxable/non taxable products. And PayPal settlements may be an issue if you’re working with multiple currencies. Both of these issues are worked around with manual adjustments. A2X has still been such a time saver overall so I would definitely recommend. Edit: With their new PayPal integration there are now no problems with PayPal settlements in multiple currencies. 2 years on, the support team are still 5 star, excellent customer service and accounting knowledge, they are so helpful and responsive.

Very useful service which saves us a lot of time monthly processing all of the Shopify sales directly into our accounting software. All of the journals always match 100%. If the mapping is done correctly there is literally nothing to worry about apart form reconciling the bank monthly. They have a very helpful customer support as well in case there are any issues within the balance sheet or clearing account. Available on call or email. I would recommend it to anyone using Shopify or Amazon.

If you have a large Chart of Accounts, it takes a while to set up - but it is well worth it. The detailed allocation of transactions to individual accounts saves large amounts of time - particularly if you use multiple payment gateways in Shopify. And the support is very responsive. They answer most questions quickly and never hesitate to explore more complex questions. I also worked with Nicole at A2X on some pretty complex questions about switching from our old financial system to Xero + A2X. She is a real gem. Extremely knowledgeable and no question was too big or too small.

Super easy to purchase and install, and it basically does the setup for you by creating accounts to map the various funds in a transaction to (sales, shipping, tax, etc.). I have been using A2X for the past few years, I like that is an automatic solution to the annoying manual accounting of shopify transactions. Do be careful if you are loop - shopify; they don't necessarily speak the proper accounting language to each other which can cause differences in your accounting (specifically in pending payments) and how A2X records them; without an accountant/bookkeeper that understands the back end of Shopify/loop you're screwed. I will be honest I have been disappointed by MOST of A2X's support people - I have been trying to figure out my loop-shopify woes for a while, and most support people gave me run around, solutions that weren't the right solutions etc. FINALLY I got a rep that actually knew what she was talking about, she knew the shopify-loop woes and was finally able to help me properly work through them... So if it wasn't for Manuela Abrams, I likely would still be pulling my hair out with my 'outage' in pending payments. Also -- if you need help and you feel like the normal support people suck -- try to request Manuela Abrams - she knows her stuff (and her accounting principles!). So this review is more for Manuela 10/10 -- a2x pre-manuela 4/10 -- a2x after Manuela 8/10. Manuela deserves a raise and a promotion! (but please let her help me going forward lol).

Thank God I found A2X! They have been amazing, Jessica in particular. There software does what it says it does on the Tin. I was using Amaka. Their Customer Service was poor to mediocre at best. When I looked further into their software it was not what it seemed. Links kept breaking, and it brought in transactions that it should not have. Reconciliation was a nightmare and there for VAT calculations was all wrong. You can't afford to muck this stuff up. A2X held my hand through the entire onboarding process and more. I have Xero, Shopify and Amazon and also use PayPal as a payment gateway and sell all around the world so quite complicated really. For the extra £20 per month I was super happy to have upgraded to the support service as it has proved invaluable. I seriously could nt recommend them or Jessica enough.

In the early days we built all our own tools and connected everything with our own code. Today, it's all about selecting existing apps and plugging them in. Usually much easier, but not always. If something is broken, you can no longer access the code and just fix it. So long as the features do what you want them to do, the most important aspect of a piece of software like this is the customer support, and A2X really impressed me with their service. Getting financial data all hooked up properly isn't a straightforward thing, even with really good software and plenty of experience. Elspeth especially was an absolute breeze to work with, super responsive, knowledgable, and made me feel like she genuinely wanted to help. When we hit a complicated snag, she even suggested we hop on a call so I could screen share and try to fix it together—which we did! I tried a competing integration before this, and even though they had a few features I liked that A2X didn't have, their support was slow and not particularly helpful. So far, the software is working well, and I'm confident that if anything goes awry, I'll get the support I need. Highly recommended.

Overall, this app works well and performs the tasks we need it to perform. There are some small hiccups with the user interface, which would require involvement from the A2X support team to resolve (mostly surrounding updates to users and/or transferring information between users). However, I give them a resounding 5 stars because their customer support goes very far above and beyond for their customers. Not only did they help me, but they made suggestions on how to save money and best utilize their platform. If you run into an issue, their customer support will go miles to make things right. I would highly recommend for that reason alone, plus their product fulfills our business needs.

Shopify and Amazon settlements are complicated, especially for high-volume businesses with $1M+ across multiple channels. I used to have to reconcile settlements by hand using pivot tables to manipulate 50k lines of data in my CSVs. Now that is automated! It's a game-changer. But even when things are still complicated (like reconciling merchant fees on Shopify's other payment gateways), the A2X support staff are EXPERTS who figured it all out already! I've used A2X with another bookkeeping client to record all the details related to sales deposits with much success. Now I've just added a new client. It was so easy to get the connections between A2X, Shopify and QBO set up. When I joined the current company, the accounting team were taking 2 days dissecting the Amazon settlement data to figure out Journal Entries. I implemented A2X which I had used earlier as well. It was a smooth process to implement, connect to various marketplace (Amazon, Shopify & Walmart) and then map to the chart of account in QuickBooks. We already used A2X for syncing our Amazon sales to Xero before they announced that they would be integrating with Shopify. It has always worked well for us on Amazon and the Shopify integration is equally brilliant. Before, we had to choose between services that synced every order and customer into Xero (massively clogging up and slowing down our accounting software) or alternatively spending hours manually going through payout reports to create invoices for each batch of transactions. A2X now does this automatically for us with just a quick glance over the numbers to make sure they add up. A2X uses the second method by the way, which means no clogging up the system. Reconciliation is easy and so is defining the account nominals for each shop or tax type. If you use Shopify and Xero this will save you hours every month.

A2X is great for timeliness and accuracy! My client uses Shopify and has tens of thousands of transactions each month. For payment they also use Afterpay, Paypal, Zippay. In addition they have a physical shop so cash and POS also need to be accounted for. I used to do manual journals at month end. This was not timely from a management perspective and prone to error. A2X has enabled all transactions to be transferred to Xero on a daily basis. These transactions are summarised however the auditing functions within A2X enable me to easily trace any issues. Management is happy with the timeliness of everything and I am happy with how much easier the accounting is. I highly recommend A2X!

As an accountant and E-commerce business owner, I've been looking for ways to streamline the data entry into Xero, and A2X has been very impressive. I used to manually adjust and import invoices and then spend a fair amount of time manually reconciling. After a bit of set up, mainly learning the software and being comfortable that it works and posts items as i would like (we group certain SKUs into 'tracking' codes in xero so we can have a split by product type on our reports), it is now a breeze to reconcile the daily payouts into our accounts. VAT is easily dealt with and reclaimed where appropriate, i've even added a second subscription to deal with the evil that is ebay managed payments!!! That in itself is worth the total subscription fee alone - and of course all ebay sales are automatically coded to 'Ebay sales' tracking code. We are looking to use it with our clients too, and it can account for marketplace sales such as Klarna/paypal and code them to a control account, assisting further with the reconciliation! Overall, the $19 per connection represents great value, and even if it saves you an hour or so, it should prove its value, especially as your business grows

This app ruined my full database, nobody on the chat could look into what the issue is, their software created several fake quickbooks accounts when we switched from trial mode, as the chat person and solution was useless, I booked a meeting this morning. I advised that I already have all the transactions in my accounts but they advised to do the payouts together which duplicated 5 months transactions, so all my P&L and Balance sheet is mucked up, and they advised me to delete them if it is a problem!!!!! I am talking about a week worths of work, financial damage as now I cant do my VAT return and will get a fine I guess if I don't spend EVERY MINUTE of my life with deleting their transactions myself!!! And they sent me a manual how to delete them, this company should get a fine and not be here!!!!

This app is mission-critical. I use it to generate .iif files to import into QB Desktop for Mac - it's one of the few services that doesn't force you to use QB Online and I really appreciate that! I am a bookkeeper with three clients who use Shopify and I used to tear my hair out trying to record Shopify sales in Quickbooks. Amazingly, there is no report in Shopify that will tell you what you need to know for basic bookkeeping: how each payout breaks out by taxable sales, non-taxable sales, cash sales, shipping charges, sales tax and Shopify fees. I would spend hours reconciling the bank deposits with the Shopify reports. But no more! A2X pulls all of the data from Shopify, allows me to review it, and then pushes it to Quickbooks. There was a learning curve setting it up and mapping the accounts correctly (the help pages could be more clear about explaining some of the confusing nomenclature like “Refund Gateway exchange credit” etc.) but the customer support was excellent and answered all my questions. They were so quick to reply to my emails, helpful and thorough. They also did a free training session with me. It would be nice if A2X could send data over as sales receipts rather than journal entries, so that the information would appear in useful Quickbooks sales reports like the Sales Tax Liability Report, Sales by Customer, Sales by Product, etc. But I can still get the info I need from the sales tax register ledger and Shopify reports. A2X is 1000x better than manually reconciling the payouts and saves me so much time. I have recommended it to other bookkeepers.

We're using A2X to link our Shopify store to our Xero accounts. The COGS reporting doesn't link automatically into the costs held in Shopify, which is very frustrating, and it also doesn't support category tracking. I'm surprised that neither feature was part of the minimum viable product for A2X as both seem like a basic requirement to me. Apparently the automatic link is under development, but there's no information from the support team on a planned release date. We're looking at other options now.

We've used the app for little over a month and it works perfectly. Other apps would import all transactions which is ok when you have only a few but when there are loads the daily summary is significantly better. The best thing about it is that you can even find accountants who know how best to set it up so you don't have to worry about anything.

A2X is great when using with Shopify: we are using it for our client. Reconciliation became a breeze since we synced Shopify and A2X. Want to pint out that this client is using Xero for their accounting: not sure how this will work with QB since did not test it yet.

A2X is easy and accurate. It syncs perfectly with Shopify and our accounting system QuickBooks Online. This is a great sync app and definitely better than some of the other options out there to get your shopify data into Quickbooks and summarized in a proper fashion. It doesn't create 1,000s of sales receipts and slow down you QBO. Rather each payout is summarized on a journal. And reconciled to the bank and third party merchant account perfectly!

Works well for our use case. It does great with Shopify payments to Xero but I have not totally figured out Paypal and we removed Amazon Pay due to how it was showing in Xero. Very likely user error. We did have an issue with syncing stopping and customer support resolved quickly within 24 hours. I really appreciated the quick support.

A2X is an excellent add on. I run an outsourced accounting business and use it for all my clients who use Shopify and Xero. As opposed to importing each individual invoice like some add ons which is a nightmare to reconcile, it imports daily takings summaries into Xero (with full invoice detail report attached) as sales invoices by payment method i.e. Shopify, Paypal, Afterpay, etc. GST is dealt with accurately. A2X massively speeds up the reconciliation process. There is a bit of learning in set up but definitely worth the time spent.

This is a pretty slick app. I spent far more hours than I want to admit trying to keep my quickbooks and shopify records in sync before using this app. Now it takes less than a few minutes a week to make sure everything is synced and synced properly. Very happy with the app. It just works.

It’s great software backed by outstanding customer service, and really simplifies what is actually rather complex ecommerce accounting, particularly when you consider multiple payment gateways and VAT. I'm a recent switcher from Kashflow and another app to connect to Shopify and to put it quite simply a2x and Xero have changed my life. I run my ecommerce business by myself, and the seamless integration that a2x provides has literally saved me hours of bookkeeping. The fact it pulls through all discounts, tax AND fees is a game changer for me, I couldn't be happier. Yes its pricey, but can you put a price on time gained back to invest into your business? I know which I prefer!
