I am using NA Age Verification on 3 of my winery sites and they just work great all the time. It is easy to set up, easy to use, and very low maintenance. The support has been awesome as well. The one issue I have had the last few years was actually because of the code on our site and Chris quickly took a look, found the issue, and put in a fix for us. I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.

DO NOT INSTALL THIS GARBAGE. IT WILL BREAK YOUR STORE. This app adds code to CART.JSON that will disable your checkout button, possibly costing you thousands in lost sales as it did for us. Even uninstalling the app did not reverse the damage. I had to go to a backup and restore the code from before its installation. The app also interferes with eComposer page builder and the theme editor. The popup will appear in your editor window and cannot be dismissed or buttons clicked. The only way to edit a page is to turn off the age check popup. Garbage. Don't install. Pay for a quality app.

Does not work for customers that are using apple devices, and recently has stopped working for customers using desktop with firefox. It used to meet our needs but now is costing us sales and customer frustration. We brought this issue up to the developers but no actions were taken. Installed this check out age control App as we have age control restrictions in Denmark and placing the official Logo on the check out page was not enough. Update: We are using this app since 2022, but reinstalled it (thats why it may show here fewer days in use. We switched now to the Pro Version, which offers Checkout Checkbox for Verification, and this one will also be written as a proof into the order details, which is even more helpful. Review Text from 2022: The app does well in our shop. You can also use it with language versions in "Langify" if you set global custom translations in langify. We also had a conflict with our "GDPR Cookie Banner" app. The solution was to add the "__age_checker-history" cookie as essential in the Cookie app. (some users would have to delete their browser cache to make it work asap) Both times Chris as developer of this app was very helpful and answered quickly.

Unfortunately, after changing our cookie consent tool it collided with the age verification app and you could neither confirm your age anymore nor reject/accept cookies. Excellent App! We have some products that need Age verification (alcohol) and I managed to quickly set this up by giving those products a tag (check-age). This means that the age verification only pops up when there are products with this tag in the shopping cart. I needed some help with something and the developer was quick to reach out and solve the problem (it wasn't their app, it was the fact that I had another app on the shopping cart). Selling beers and alcoholic beverages means legal age restrictions. We needed this kind of age checker to ensure visitors are allowed to buy our products. First we had the pop up. Later Chris introduced the Checkout Rules in the cart. This is an extra chance to check the customers age once again before buying. The design is great, functionality and user experience is great. Chris was extremely helpfull, and extremely quick, when I asked for help with a minor adjustment.

Overall the app is great. It offers far more in its free plan than others. A couple complaints: There is no way to change the size of buttons. They appear to be to compact to text. There is a "Boarder Width" option but it appears to do nothing. There is also no way to change the warning text from dark red. So if you changed the background image it had better work with that text. Overall it is great but it would be nice to have a little customization beyond what it is doing now. All of that being said, still the best age checker I've found so far.

The developer, Chris, reached out to me and made sure everything worked properly and even edited the code for me to make sure the app text doesn't show up as the google meta data for my description. Whilst this app does what it says, it causes multiple issues. Specifically it causes issues with banner resolution. After installing the app we noticed our homepage banner had become blurry, we contacted Shopify to which we were given this reply: "Hi Kurtis! My name is Nate, and I'm with the Theme Support team at Shopify. Geelyn reached out and let me know you were having trouble with some images loading blurrier than expected. After taking a closer look at this issue, we have ruled out the original theme code as the cause. We have tested the original theme code, checked settings and preferences in the admin including the domain, and have run other tests to see if we could narrow down the cause. We believe the issue is caused by leftover app code related to Age Checker Plus, an uninstalled app. As this is third party code, we are not able to troubleshoot further or provide support for correcting the code. Shopify app developers provide support for their apps, including troubleshooting and install/uninstall help! We recommend you reach out to them for further assistance by visiting their app store page, and clicking" So after figuring this out, we now need to alter our code to reverse the issue. Please don't use this app if you have no coding experience as it will leave you in the hands of this app's developers to fix your issue. Update: Within a couple hours we had an E-mail from the developer in which he gave us full insight on how to remove the code to free up our banner resolution to be poor. Everything seems to be working now.

The app is really good , 5 star plus... i hardly rate apps but this app is really one of the best .. i tried about 10 apps but none of them was useful, with this app you can lock a specific page, or all the pages, or a collection its really free of charge as at now maybe he will chang his policy later so i dont know why people are opting for a paid app which cannot meet their needs...
