I signed up for this app at the $29/month plan and was shocked to discover they later increased the subscription price without any notice and without me even using the app. I didn’t receive a single value or benefit, yet they continued charging me for months at a higher rate I never approved. When I reached out, support admitted they could only refund a small portion (three months) as an exception, even though the majority of the charges were never authorized in the first place. Their explanation was that “the responsibility for managing subscriptions falls to the account owner,” which feels extremely unfair when the pricing was changed on their end without clear communication. To make things worse, the app showed up as “unsupported” in Shopify, which made it impossible to manage or cancel properly. Shopify is aware of this issue, but the app developer still refused to take responsibility for the unapproved charges. This experience has been incredibly disappointing. If you’re considering installing this app, please keep a close eye on your billing—because they do not make pricing changes transparent, and you may end up paying for services you never used.

STAY FAR, FAR AWAY. CAUTION This is by far the worst Shopify app experience I’ve ever had. Within DAYS of installing, they pulled every single contact from my store without my permission, automatically added them into their system, and then used that as an excuse to auto-upgrade my plan and start charging me THOUSANDS of dollars for an app I wasn’t even actively USING. I didn’t create campaigns. I didn’t send emails. I didn’t approve an upgrade. They did it all automatically and billed me for it. I learned the hard way. Don’t make the same mistake.

Pathetic customer service. Their free plan provides 500 emails per month. I have only sent 100 emails and they are showing that monthly quota has expired for more than a month now. I reached out to the customer support and its been 2 weeks. I am yet to get a solution on this trivial issue

The problem with this app is they count on your forgetting that over time this app will cost more and more regardless if your income goes up or not because its based on the size of your customer database which grows with time even if your income stays the same. So you can start out paying $29 and over a few years even with no increase in income it'll end up being well over $100. Also these price tiers they list are misleading, they increase far more incrementally, roughly ever 500 customers the price increases, regardless if your sales have increased or not. And while this app may seem worth it at $29 its certainly not worth it as the price goes up and up with no additional service. The best way to avoid THIS SINK HOLE is to just pick out a different app with a different price structure.

Over time bots had been padding our email list with fake customers (and we did not know it). When we discovered the issue, we had over 900 bad email addresses in our database causing a huge bounce rate. Working with the team at Amplified was the solution. After identifying the problem they assisted us in removing all the fake customers from our email list, a huge help! We are now sending emails again to our customers and looking good. The staff at Amplified were professional and immediately took action to help solve our issue. Thanks again.

At first, I had a few issues with the app, but Judith Castro went above and beyond to ensure all my concerns were addressed. She showed me that, as a business, they genuinely care about your business' well-being and being able to thrive. I am very thankful that Judith stayed consistent with my issues and turned this into a positive experience. The customer service is excellent, and so is this application itself. I switched over from Klaviyo to Amplified. My emails are easily and super quickly delivered to my customers. As someone who is not an expert in graphic design, I rely heavily on templates. Amplified has tons of templates to start with that are easily customizable and visibly appealing to my customers. Even if you are starting from scratch, it is straightforward to create an email. My only regret with this application is that I have not utilized it enough in the many months I have had it. I highly recommend this email marketing platform and am glad I found it. This app and company has gone massively downhill. When we first installed this app years ago it was a cart recovery tool. Since then it has been reinventing itself as other things relating to marketing but whilst doing do they have messed up on more than one occasion. They moved us to some horrendously priced plan when they made the first big shift, we had to complain and apply for a refund, we were then reverted back to our old plan. The second time we had an issue they had again upgraded the software, but when they did this they reverted our account back to default cart recovery, removing our custom messaging and colour schemes without our knowledge. Most recently we have found that the app was blocking our add to cart button and making it perform poorly on mobile, we have just deleted this app and all our problems are solved, the add to cart is working again, and this horrible app is now gone. We would advise to look elsewhere for cart recovery!

I was asked to take down my review but after 4 hours with customer support, I feel others deserve to know: I have been with this app for 5 years but over the last year, I have had numerous issues. 1. I had agreed to be charged $29/month, but I suddenly was charged $299+/month which I did not approve. I had to fight to get my $1609 refunded (which they did so I decided to give them another chance)... 2. I set up a series of abandoned cart emails in April and realized today that no one has used the coupon code I have in the email. Upon checking, I see that all of the content I spent HOURS creating is suddenly GONE. 3. Therefore, NONE of my beautifully designed emails have gone out and NONE of my abandoned carts have been saved. For months. The app had moved to a new system and didn't inform their customers that their emails would not transfer over. This is the second time they've changed something I've set up and I was given no notice. 4. I just spent HOURS getting the emails back up but learned there is no longer a "preview" functionality. I abandoned a cart to test the email and it didn't send. This app changed from what it used to be. The functionality and the lack of communication is so disappointing. I'm sad to say that I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I've lost thousands of dollars in sales and countless hours of time I could have been working on anything else.

I'm doing an update to my initial review after receiving the recovery email and the broadcast. The recovery email doesn't show my logo at all. The broadcast email basically showed me what looks to be a broadcast of a whole other business. I'm hoping it was because I put the cart before the horse and sent the broadcast prior to the verification, so I will try again and see where it goes. So far, so good. I'm in the trial period so can't say much on the first day of use. But, they are really responsive and I love that.

I feel there is a minimum threshold of site visits over which the app delivers results, and that should be shared upfront. I have been using this app on multiple stores for years, from before it offered the tonne of features it does now, and I primarily use it now for the same reason I used it then. It allows me to see inside the carts of customers, I cannot emphasize how important that is to me. I was on the free trial testing out whether or not to use this app, thinking I wasn't going to be hit with a $30 charge as a newbie already hoping to be able to absorb the $30 Shopify charges monthly for the store when for one customer buying a product from me (a joy for sure in itself) I was hit with an additional charge from CC that stumped my joy when I got my credit card billed. It feels somewhat disappointing to take a rather unnecessary loss on what should have been a sure gain ... especially what I was charged for could have been done for free. The app is probably better after you first get your shop more profitable. Otherwise, as for me, I didn't need to overflow my beginning budget unexpectedly.

Updated: I love this app. It is reliable. I have decided to re-activate the option for a visitor to enter their email address when they are considering putting an item in their cart. I had been led to believe that this may be off-putting for some potential customers. But, then again, 'maybe not'. Time will tell. Updated again: Still love this app. It's great to see a photo of the actual item a potential purchaser has put in their cart. I definitely recommend it!

** UPDATE ** Apparently there was a glitch in their system that forced us to upgrade our free plan to a paid plan. App developers were actually very helpful and came up with a solution quickly so we could continue to use Consistent Cart. We have been using this app for years and it was so great. However, the app has been upgraded and now we are forced to pay $30 a month. Not very helpful for small businesses that are trying to survive during a pandemic. We will be canceling this app and look for a different option.

MUST READ !!! Consistent Cart takes credit for a sale if the customer completes their purchase within 72 hours of when the app sends them an abandoned cart email. Regardless of if they see the email or not. Be careful! It says "Monthly fee scales with the extra sales generated". I'm getting charged $49/mth but after analysis I found that 70% of "extra sales generated" were not generated by this app. I analysed my Consistent Cart Dashboard and here are the results... ➞ 40% of "extra sales generated" - recovery email was never opened by the customer. ➞ 30% of "extra sales generated" - were made by customers that were in contact with my customer service team and purchased after speaking to them. About half of these customers never even opened their emails. ➞ 30% of "extra sales generated" - are probably genuine. They do offer a few things that I really like but I am currently searching for another app made by a developer that is more honest with the abilities of their app.

Wow, that was a quick setup. Just spent around an hour having fun setting all of this up. At first, it looks like a lot, but the whole design is very intuitive once you start clicking around the place. I used to use Seguno, but they limited me to one abandoned cart email. Here you get three, and you can do SMS and push notifs and a bunch of other things. Thank you!

This has been a great app in the long run but in the last weeks we have had to data breaches. The customers has clicked on the abandoned cart email only to be presented with the completed order information from another customer including all their personal home address details. We have contacted customer support but no response or fix in the last 3 days. I will update further. Review changed from 1 star to 3 because they have expedited the complaint to senior technicians who have now fixed the issues.
