Sharing my experience - 2023 - 2025 4th Aug 2023: What just happened? Out of nowhere, black bars appeared on my site. The settings were changed without any notice, and suddenly my website was misaligned. I had to manually disable it. Extremely disappointing! 16th Aug 2023: Updating my review after 12 days of trying to resolve the issue. Despite multiple attempts to get help, there’s still no solution. I paid $499 for a lifetime plan, but at this point, I feel like I’ve thrown my money away. Honestly, it’s a waste of both time and money. I found that Scale Up Announcement Bar is a much better alternative. 20th Oct 2025: Two years later, and I’m still dealing with the same issues. Do not buy this app. I deeply regret paying for the lifetime plan. The app consistently malfunctions—despite me disabling the bars, they still appear on my site for up to an hour. What’s worse, their support is non-existent; sometimes it takes over an hour to get a response. I will continue to share my poor experience here because it’s frustrating to see no improvements. If you’re serious about your business, do yourself a favor and stay far away from this app. We're finally cutting ties, and honestly, the money spent was just a waste.

Today I spent around 4 hours trialing all the different countdown bar apps. They ALL had issues with; sticky functionality, wouldn't offer continuous countdown, they didn't have custom CSS function, or they looked like some spammy AliExpress countdown nonsense. I had trouble figuring out some features of the app, so I contacted Customer Service. It was past Sunday already early Monday hours, but the Customer Service agent came quickly to the rescue. I was actually very surprised to get a response so fast especially for the time. Nevertheless Sagar came twice to answer my questions and clarify the process and feature properties. I am amazed at such a good quality of service and an equally great app! I highly recommend it! UPDATE! FEB14/2023 I just finished using the Valentine's feature today, and it has been very successful. Pointed out an odd (not production breaking) language choice and support was quick to update and make changes Update: After some use, wanted to add a note: Their servers are slow to respond to the api calls the annoucnement bar makes. It shouldn't impact things for the customer, but the network requests waterfall in the dev console will be very long. One last update: There was an update that was rolled out, which added inline style of body {font-family:sans-serif}. This overrode and took precedent of the main css causing all body text to not look correct/use the correct font. No app should do this. We uninstalled this app from our store.

The concept of this app is good. However, it's not compatible with my theme at all. There are so many issues (like weird positioning, weird blank spaces, blocking my menu when scrolling down...) once I installed it. What really disappointed and annoyed me was that the team made me think they would help me to fix the issues at first, and they made me wait about a week, and they told me they couldn't help unless I go edit my code to delete something myself (it was super unclear on what they wanted me to do and I just felt they didn't want to help anymore). What a waste of time. Worst customer service.

The best countdown app by far! Finally a really good app that is actually free and allows you to customise everything! So many other apps are 'free' but when you try them they are essentially useless as everything you actually want to do is a paid feature, but not in this case.
