I’ve updated my review (originally from September 2, now February 2026) to reflect our longer-term experience. First, credit where it’s due. The fact that I can book a call and actually speak to someone puts them head and shoulders above many other apps in this space. That level of access matters. They’ve also helped embed the widget into our website navigation, which we appreciated. That said, it often takes one to two weeks of consistent follow-up to get relatively simple changes implemented. The biggest issue, however, is structural and significantly impacts any serious global e-commerce brand. We’re seeing a drop in approved products across all regions in Google. The root cause appears to be price mismatches between our product feed and our landing pages. This is driven by how the app handles currency URLs. At the moment, all currencies resolve to the same URL. So Google may crawl the page expecting GBP pricing but see USD or EUR pricing instead, depending on IP-based currency switching. Even though checkout currency is correct, the visible landing page price does not consistently match the feed price for that specific region. For brands running global Google Shopping campaigns, this creates product disapprovals and directly impacts traffic and revenue. The solution requires dynamic, currency-specific URLs (a unique URL per currency) so that the landing page price always matches the feed price for that region. If you are a purely domestic store, this may not be a major issue. But if you are a global e-commerce brand relying on Google feeds, this limitation makes the app far less viable in its current structure. Support is accessible, but the technical limitation around multi-currency URL handling is a serious constraint for international operators.

UPDATE: It seems to be that the problem was due to server error from app side. However, today it is working fine. Gave 4 stars just because some of the currencies, for example Dinar Kuwaiti showing as large number which can lead to losing sales. For example price of one of the products is 3.50 Kuwaiti Dinar, it is showing as 3,579. After this solved, we will change the review to 5 stars. Thnak you!

I installed the MLV Auto Currency Switcher with the expectation that my customers would be able to pay in their local currencies, a basic yet critical feature for any global store. Sadly, that functionality is non-existent at checkout, which defeats the very purpose of the app. After reaching out, I spoke with Yashika, who was courteous and helpful. She clarified that Shopify restricts currency changes during checkout, but never talked about a solution to fix this or even made an attempt. Offering a $2 discount for life isn't a solution. Paying for this app feels like buying a car with a sunroof, premium leather seats, and great mileage and other features but without an engine. What’s the point of all the flashy features if the core function doesn’t deliver and yet pay for it? Yes, you offered me a lifetime discount of some odd $2, but honestly, that’s not the point. I only asked about a discount because I was trying to justify paying for a tool that fails at its most essential task. But yet I supported your app and asked for a genuine price to pay for monthly. To add to the disappointment, Harun from your team asked me to leave a positive review, even after I voiced my dissatisfaction. That’s not just unethical, it’s disheartening. I support small businesses and understand the struggle, but pressuring a customer to alter honest feedback is never okay. If your team knows something is hurting the customer, don’t just acknowledge the pain,do something to fix it. Instead of offering discounts, work with Shopify to create a real solution. Make your customers feel heard, respected, and valued. Because in the end, customers may forget what they bought, but they’ll never forget how you made them feel. Final Thought: If you take care of your customers, your customers will take care of your business. I had high hopes, but this experience left me extremely dissatisfied.

I've had the app installed for a while and have encountered the same problems time after time. When switching currency, the rounding rules that you set up in markets (rounding to 0 decimal points) doesn't flow through to this app. So for a currency like Kuwait Dinar, instead of 145KWD, it shows 145.760KWD - which doesn't look great or professional. This applies to all currencies - ignoring the decimal rules you can set with Shopify, so USD shows as $450.00 for example. I have contacted support numerous times and they either say it's a shopify problem, or that they just can't help me. Additionally, they are great at the initial customisation setup, but EVERY TIME you update your theme, their customisations are removed, and you have to reach out to them to edit it for you again, which has become extremely tiresome. It is such a shame as this app is generally good at what it does, but the creators seem to have no desire to refine it to make it an excellent experience for shopify users and their customers. I will be looking around to find an alternative.

I don't know why many users give 5 star for this app. 1. The actual conversion rate from google is very different from this app, the price of your listing will become lower compare to google conversion rate. The result it may lead problem to your store later on because your store seems you are misleading your client, but in actual check out the price is higher than the tag price shown. this is clickbait and can cause big problem later on. 2. The app conversion they base only on the front product page. Example you have T-shirt list and has 5 variation every variation has different prices, color and style, if you click to the second variation which is other color/style the product price will not change, conversion affects only on the first variation which is the front product. 3. I talk to CSR via chat support they say they use currencylayer.com for currency conversion, I don't care what API currency did you use. the important is the accuracy of the conversion. He also explain to me that the conversion is only on the product listing price, but on the check out page the product price will return to default currency. Imagine on the product price customers saw those price when they check out the price will become higher. Because their conversion rate is lower than google conversion rate, customers may verify that thing knowing google is a tool that is accessible to everyone. 4. Product pricing place a vital role in store if don't mind it 5. I tried so many currency like PHP, BRL and more, still there conversion rate is lower than google. 6. I uninstall the app.

Moments after being charged I reach out to the developer to get a refund and still no replies. They keep asking the same question over and over. Please Install this app if you really want want to mess up your store front. I installed this app and setup everything as they said and when I tested it on my live store my whole theme background got changed from white to black I don't know what type of code they are injecting into my theme. They don't even have live support to check and rectify this issue only option we had was to add them to staff and email them. And the worst part is we got to wait up to 24 hours to get reply. I didn't do that because i don't to want to keep running my ads with the messed up theme and get a huge bounce rate on my landing page. And i can expect the replies of Dev's under this review saying that you have installed the app for 5 mins and uninstalled we didn't had to chance to review your store and correct it. Yeah Blah Blah Blah. "NO ONE WANTS TO RUN A WEBSITE WITH A MESSEDUP THEME CAUSED BY YOUR APP . WE GOT PANICKED AND REMOVED THE APP INSTANTLY. MAYBE TRY ADDING LIVE SUPPORT TO RETAIN THE CLIENTS"

I'm very new to using Shopify and all these extra apps. I find this currency switcher more simple to use and it doesn't take up much space. I initially didn't know I had to remove the currency switcher that comes with the Dawn template, but Shaba helped me out straight away by pointing this out. Wow. I had a little hiccup at the start with it not working straight away. Customer service was straight onto it. Then it kicked in.......do not use shopify markets currency converter, it doesn't work properly and sends everyone back to your original currency when buying. Edit 2023: 3 years later, I'm still using this app and all is going great! Original Review: I've been using this app for about 6 weeks now. The customer service was great, I needed help setting it up and they blended with my theme. Today I tried switching to shopify's free 'Geolocation' app, and it was a mess. This app works with the inbuilt theme currency selector, where the Geolocation app does not. It's also automatic and doesn't require more pop ups or banners, something I appreciate highly. I recommend it to everyone. My only complaint is it's a little expensive. But hey, it works exactly as it should and fits perfectly with my theme.

I’ve only had the ‘Auto Currency Switcher’ app installed for a couple of days but so far, so good. It looks very neat and tidy when integrated using the ‘Inline with the Header’ option. I don’t want to put anyone off using this app, but be aware that you might need to contact support to get the app working with your theme. I use Palo Alto 4.6.3 on my store (Shopify 2.0) and initially nothing happened at all. But just contact support – they are great! I spoke to Shaba Khan via live chat who was superb, extremely responsive and used very clear English. I actually thought I would be talking to a Bot but she was definitely a human! Because I wanted the switcher to be integrated inline with the header, it did require a bit of extra tweaking by their technical team which took a few hours. So if it doesn’t work first time and you can wait a few hours, don’t uninstall it, contact their amazing support and they’ll soon have you up and running. BTW, if you are not 100% sure, the app definitely does automatically change to the correct currency depending on your location – it’s not just a manual switcher.

My problem was not solved at all. There was 1-2 seconds time lag between my store currency and customer selected currency whenever page swap.
