Edit. July 26. Saved my life again after Sidekick made changes to my product pages with unintended consequences. Reverting to a backup theme no use in that situation but Talon was there for me:-) I have always been nervous about the fact that Shopify does not do a backup of the store, or at least not one that can be accessed by the owner in the event of anything going wrong. Some of the apps that do this are quite costly for a small store, also with some of them you have no idea whether they have worked until you find you have to do a restore. What I like about this app is that you can see any part of your store, be it blog posts or products or whatever and restore at the click of a button. So, it's not just a handy app to have should disaster strike but also allows you to reinstall a previous version of sections if you have been editing them etc. Any app is only as good as its support and I'm happy to say the support here is excellent. Michael was delving into a problem for me as soon as I notified him of it and in the end discovered that it was a fault with Shopify and not the website. I highly recommend this app for anyone who wants peace of mind.

So far, I am extremely impressed with how fast and functional this app is. I tested it by deleting a few random products and blog posts to see if it would pick up on the changes, and it immediately logged exactly what happened. With all the freelancers, employees, and third-party apps interacting with Shopify stores nowadays, you really need to protect yourself with 'insurance' like this. While I practice safe habits and haven't had a major emergency yet, having this app gives me incredible peace of mind. I hope I never truly need to use it, but I'm glad it's there.

Highly recommend Automatic Backups by Talon - well priced back up app that earned it's keep yesterday when I accidentally deleted several high traffic blog posts. Customer service was excellent too, as I'd deleted the blog they were under, so Michael put a patch in place for me to very quickly to restore the posts. Great value and great customer service.

This was an easy install and easy to use. I am using it as a safety net when doing large modifications to the site structure. Restoring products and variations can be really time consuming if you have to reload with a CSV. Also, I really like the pricing structure as its based on what you have in the store - not the number of sales. I never feel a product that provides the same function should make more money if you do. Flat rate pricing is always an honest way to tie work and compensation together.

I like it. Simple and to the point without a lot of fluff. Backs me up daily and does a nice job of compartmentalizing [Yay! I finally get to use that word in a sentence!] certain sections of the site.

After experiencing a different back up app whose personnel wouldn't open emails over the weekend during an emergency, finding Automatic Backups was refreshing. Tech support went above and beyond answering questions and helping at 11pm, with 3 correspondences in one day, only hours apart. Shopify's duplicate theme function does not back up products and orders... this app is a must for keeping your data safe.

I can't express how perfect this App is for Backups. The UI is great, its super simple to use and setup, gives a comparison of previous backups and current backups in a GitHub like compare, and its very affordable. As our store grows and more users are making changes, the peace of mind having backups in the event of mistakes is a must have. Get this insurance... great job with this!

I like the easy automatic real time feature. The recovery feature is nice to have. The funny thing is I hope I never have to use the recovery feature. Without it would be a nightmare if you lose all the hard work in your store. Everyone needs a backup.

It works. It's priced right. Hopefully I never need it to do a restore but for peace of mind it's great to have this in place. I know how easy it is to goof things up when you add some other app and try it out then remove it and it leaves things a mess in your store. Been there. Done that. Got Talon for backups!

This is a good basic backup app. Free product version works, helps with any mistakes during product modification. Looking at moving to the paid version, will update once i see what that looks like. Not all the bells and whistles that the app recommended by Shopify Plus has. Cost on the basic paid version will be about 4% of what the other app would have cost us. No customer or order backups but it gets all the main components.

This plugin is very easy to install and very easy to use. You do not have to program anything at all. In addition, I signed the USD 8.99 plan that is roughly equivalent to the USD 39 plan of the main competitor. For anyone who is starting a business every penny spent counts. An addendum: I needed to revert an erroneous change in my theme today and thanks to Automatic Backup everything worked optimally and in a very simple way I was able to revert the theme to yesterday because all the data is saved daily.

We have two backup apps installed for maximum protection, this one and one other. Both apps are excellent. Talon does a great job with individual blog recovery (we have tested this as we prep our blogs) and individual product recovery, which we have used multiple times to experiment with different product descriptions and changes. We use another excellent app from this developer as well, the recently viewed app is also great.

Everyone should have a back up for their store! I was about to attempt a mass export/import of a change to my listings and realized how important it would be to have a back up if things went sideways. Also appreciated the privacy concerns about not saving customer and order information. I enter that data to my own books every month, so that part wasn't needed for me. I have the paid version.
