It seems to do the job. I would say that the bare minimum nowadays is to have control over your backups, upload it to an external site using SFTP, and that comes with an excessive price tag. There are some other apps covering a second store for free, while this is with additional payment. I would also ask them to include additional languages for people not speaking English or German, or the ability to not store any of our store data in their premises. Another suggestion would be to be able to define retention and trigger on demand backups when you know you are about to do changes that can break stuff. Having said that, I believe it is going in the right direction

This is a great app, easy to use and the customer service is great. I made some changes to my theme and CSS by mistake. I needed to revert to a previous version of my store and I wasn't sure how to do this. The customer service person (Alex) was really patient and guided me through the process and I got back to my previous "perfect" version in no time! I'm so glad I got this app, peace of mind is wonderful, for when things might go wrong :-)

Honestly I have had this app for years and never had to use it. I was on the verge of uninstalling it a few months ago.... Luckily I didn't. The app runs smoothly in the background. I had an instance last week with a product import that was missing image links.... some products lost their images.. within a few minutes I was able to restore them from the backup. Works flawlessly and already saved me many work hours (and might even have increased my life expectancy given lower overall stress level).

I encountered a glitch on our site: the home page main (top) banner did not load, or it did but then dissappeared and I could not find the cause of the problem, so I used this app to go back in time to a previous back up. What a relieve, the site is working again! Always wondered if a backup is needed, but it looks like it is. What I noticed with some other backups is that they did not save the theme and all it s contents. This app does and as a result you can clone the whole site to another location. In our situation we only restored the theme and that was enough to get our site working again. It is also extremely easy to use: in case of a total crash, the back up is even available direct on their servers and a link to that is provided.

Insurance and backups are only needed when something goes wrong. And nothing breaks or goes wrong, ever. Right? Um... until it does. After using Rewind for many years, I decided to give BackupMaster a try because I like the user interface and the cleanliness of the process. And today, for the first time ever, I discovered an error (self inflicted/user error) on a collection - and BackupMaster "simply" restored the item to the restore point. Done. BackupMaster gets 5-stars for quality UX and it just works. Don't NOT have a backup tool.

We have not had to use any features for restoring previous versions yet, but so far this has been really easy to set up and customer service has been excellent. They even emailed to let us know that we could choose a new cheaper plan (our store isn't open yet so we're not taking any orders at the moment) which was good of them I think.

I decided to get this app because I have put a lot of time into migrating my shop to shopify and it will save my sanity if anything goes wrong. You don't really know how important a backup is until you need it. This app was really easy to set up. It ran in the background once I had gone through the initial start. You can choose the timing of your daily backup and you also have the option to backup before you make any major changes which is helpful when making changes to the theme code. The customer service has been excellent, prompt, and helpful.

In the past I used the app to backup and restore religiously. I took it out at one point to save money, a decision I regretted deeply later, as I managed to damage my store by erasing hundreds of images using "Files" in the Shopify settings. I had to restore image by image one by one. Running a proper backup with the ability to restore is a no brainer and the app works as it should with granularity. I'm never taking the app off anymore and when I reinstalled it I got really nice service from Marina.

I got this app for the obvious back-up ability not knowing much about it. The trial expired and we kept it going. (pretty good price) Today I accidentally deleted a page within our site. Installed this app yesterday, did a backup of a whole store, hopefully nothing ever goes wrong with the store but with this app I added a new layer of security so I can have a peaceful mind and be sure everything is backed up on another place and to be able to restore the whole store even if some unexpected problem occurs. Worth every cent and the prices are really affordable.

One thing I do not want to worry about is a catastrophic error. My site took weeks to set up and perfect and the peace of mind knowing that it is backed up lets me sleep at night. Everyone needs to know that there is no backup plan on shopify store in general. If you delete your products by accident or add some unusual app that kills your store there is no way back without a backup app. Hopefully, I will never need it but at least I know it is there if I do need it.
