The BON app is fantastic. The staff are always so quick to respond and incredibly helpful with any additional requests I have, including adding a feature I requested to make in-store redemptions easier, as we don’t use Shopify POS, which BON already integrates with. The app itself works brilliantly. Most of my communication with the BON team has been around combining our existing loyalty scheme from our separate, older POS system and setting up the new one, which required a little extra assistance. Thank you so much to the BON team, and especially Haley, for all your help and fantastic customer service!

Very complicated app since there is so much functionality. You need the Customer service team to help while setting up - but they do a fantastic job of it. Lots of tutorials, guidance, and super fast responses. I've talked to 4 reps in the last 24 hours, each has responded in minutes every time. And real human responses that are straight to the point and helpful, not robots. We have migrated over from Smile with ~30,000 customers rather than a fresh setup so it was definitely complex.

Bon Loyalty is one of those apps that leaves a lasting impression. I actually remembered it from about two years ago when I was researching loyalty apps for my Shopify store. I had to put my business on hold for a while, so when I recently came back to continue building my store, I was genuinely happy to find Bon Loyalty already waiting in my list of apps. One of the things I appreciate most is how customizable it is. The free plan includes plenty of useful features, which is incredibly valuable when you're just starting out. At the same time, the app offers excellent upgrade options that can grow alongside your business, making it a great long-term choice. The customer support has also been outstanding. This app has everything we required at a fair price. I've received great support and migration assistance. Aster has been very helpful answering questions without delay and addressing the little details. I've sampled almost every loyalty app in the Shopify store and I think we've finally found a home. UPDATE 6/23/26 Customer returns and exchanges are a mess every time. One of our customers cancelled their order this morning and the rewards points still have not been refunded five hours later. They're waiting to place a new order until they can use those points so now we're stuck. I'm beginning to regret this app, but I'm not up for another migration (yet).

The app and their customer service team has been wonderful. Above and beyond! Not only are they super responsive, they gave me tips for getting started and have helped me set up a custom reviews connection to a reviews app that they don't have a standard built-in earnings connection with. I first worked with Ame (who was great!), and even though when I logged in sometimes a different rep responded (likely due to time-zone differences), they were always up to date on my status and project and always professional, and were able to help me with what I needed. We had this app recommended to me as it works in well with Judge.me and Klaviyo. So far, it is pretty simple to work with and the Support team has been amazing, they have been available to us almost instantly each time we have used their Live Chat feature. Thank you to Hazel for her amazing help. Our only feature request is that custom CSS should be built into every pricing structure, not just the Growth plan as it should be easy for stores to have the fonts and styling to match their store as much as you can - whether you are a small business or a larger business. But their support is helping me now to work through getting this enabled for us, which we are super grateful for.

Bon Loyalty offers a competitive price for the number of features included, and their built-in translation functionality is a real advantage compared with many other apps in this category. Their chat support is also responsive and usually willing to help, which is appreciated. However, I am giving 3 stars for two main reasons. First, the app is not very intuitive to navigate. Many configuration settings are difficult to find, and the structure of the app can feel confusing. Support explained that this is partly because the app has many features, but in my view, if merchants cannot easily find or properly use those features, then the value of having so many features is reduced. Thankfully, their chat support can often help guide users through the app, but the app itself should be easier to understand and configure without needing support so often. Second, the support team does not always seem to have deep technical knowledge of the app or Shopify behavior, and this can lead to misleading answers. For example, we asked about the “Refer a Friend” landing page flow. After a user clicks the referral link and signs in, the app was sending them to Shopify’s default login page and leaving them there, instead of bringing them back to the referral page. This breaks the user journey and makes an important referral feature much less effective, because the customer can easily get lost and fail to complete the process. The initial answer from support was that this was due to Shopify’s technical limitations and that they could not control the authentication process. However, this was inaccurate. Shopify supports a simple return URL parameter that can bring the user back to the original page after login. We implemented this ourselves in around 30 minutes. After that, support acknowledged that their answer had been incomplete and said they would share it with their development team. Hopefully this will be corrected properly in the app. Overall, Bon Loyalty has strong potential, especially because of its pricing, feature set, and translation support. But the app needs a more intuitive interface, and the support team needs stronger technical knowledge, especially when merchants are relying on them for important customer-facing flows.

We just migrated our store from WooCommerce to Shopify and BON Loyalty has been one of the smoothest parts of the entire transition. The app itself is incredibly well thought out — earning rules, rewards, point redemption all just work out of the box, and the customization options are exactly what we needed without being overwhelming. But honestly the biggest standout has been the support. The entire team but specifically, Ame, has been amazing — quick to respond, patient with our questions, and clearly genuinely cares about making sure things work right for our business. The kind of support that makes you actually want to keep using the app long-term. We ended up choosing BON Loyalty, and we haven’t regretted it for a second. What really tipped the scales for us was the support. Cara has been absolutely amazing to work with — fast responses, clear and easy-to-understand explanations, and lots of great suggestions tailored specifically to our store and the way we operate. It felt much more like talking to a colleague than to “customer support.” We run both a physical store and an online shop, and we also have a somewhat special loyalty setup (for example, every 7th bag of feed free, subscriptions online, etc.). All of this was taken seriously, explained in a simple way, and we found solutions that genuinely fit us — including in Shopify POS. The app works very well, is flexible, and it’s clear that it’s built by people who truly understand retail operations, not just code. It's rare to find an APP with 5.0 ratings anywhere! I've experienced it now having just migrated from Smile.io to Bon loyalty app. Kian was super helpful in answering all my questions via chat and email. The BON support team is spontaneous to respond and transitioned from one agent to another seamlessly during my migration process. Even when I accidentally closed my chat window, I was back with Kian within one minute after connecting with a different agent. I'm looking forward to using BON Loyalty program and trusting that my 38K customers will have similar and rewarding experiences!

The BON Loyalty Program and Rewards app is intuitive and easy to use. Special thanks to Hazel from live chat for her excellent and professional assistance — she made the process smooth and efficient. At the moment, I’m waiting for the option to change the default phone number prefix from the US to Germany. Asking customers to scroll through 100+ countries to select theirs creates unnecessary friction, and many might leave the default US prefix and simply type their number after it — resulting in contact data that has little or no value for the store.
