This app fills a massive gap in the shipping functionality of Shopify. We've been relying on it since 2020 with only a few minor issues - always quickly and professionally resolved by Boxify support.

We have used Boxify with great success since 2019. As our DTC shipping increased we started running into issues with our FedEx calculations returning errors due to how Shopify was calculating/processing those orders. Once we found Boxify and were able to customize our own boxes, product sizing, as well as items that ship by themselves, it solved pretty much everything we were dealing with. The Boxify team has always be quick to help with mass-changes to our extensive SKU count, or anything else we've had to reach out about over the years.

Boxify has been amazing. Thanks to some direct support help from Dave we were able to kick off our initial fulfillment with exactly the right packaging inventory. The app itself does what it says, and helps make sure we get the exact size boxes you need to fulfill any mix / quantity of items based on your own base requirements for max size, padding around items, etc. I saw someone upset that Boxify doesn't automatically stop billing as soon as you have a dormant shipping period, but we don't have a single app that does that. Its always been up to us to pause or remove an app if we aren't using it. So that aside, I fully recommend Boxify if you need to know what packaging you need to fulfil and order, and also be able to work with whatever variables you want to include for packing with size, padding, weight, etc.

My products are various sizes, each ship from different locations, and each location uses different carriers. Boxify has been the most helpful tool ever. It makes it easy to implement shipping charges based on how the products can pack into a box. I recently was changing us some things and got stuck. I wasn’t seeing the right carrier and after several hours of messing around, I emailed support. Dave responded to me right away at 10PM. His response was very thorough and he actually took the time to look at my store and confirm exactly what my issue was. While doing so he found a few other things that I had not enabled but should have. My issue was a simple oversight on my part but he took the time to explain it so that I understood and was able to quickly correct my error. The Boxify app is awesome and so is the support!

Do not even try with this application. We run a 7 Figure Business and have been receiving monthly charges for the past year for a service that was not even live or being used. Boxify will still charge you monthly even if you do not use the service, I have had 0 shipping calculations for the past year and yet have been charged $100+ every month for there "plan". Even if you are interested in the free trial please be aware that you will still be charged even if 0 shipping calculations are made. Dave will just say this is apart of Shopify's publisher policies as the subscription charges are more important than fixing the issue.

Boxify solves many of our issues that we weren't able to solve in any other way as simply or cost-effectively. We needed a solution that could easily handle shipping quotes to customers on Shopify for multiple box shipments and especially for single SKUs that contained multiple boxes. This alone has saved us a lot of pulled out hair (and expense for incorrect shipping quotes from Shopify and couriers). Boxify also calculates and passes recommended box sizes in the Shopify order notes, which helps us greatly speed up the packing process, and has a lot of flexibility around different shipping zones, adjusting shipping rate quotes, etc. Dave @ Boxify support is absolutely fantastic, he's helped us several times with shipping cost or process mysteries (it's never the software's fault, usually us or a courier doing something weird) by digging deep into the issue and recommending solutions. We can't recommend this app enough. It's our "If we only could have 1 app, this would be it" app.

Boxify does what it says it does, and it makes it easy to do. We have over 500 products, and with their upload form it was easy to get them all set up. The support is really a cut above- I had questions during set up, and they were all addressed promptly and in detail. Whenever it looked like I had hit a snag, Support was there and had either an explanation or a workaround. Would highly recommend if you have many products of different sizes, or customers buy in bulk! I think this app is going to save us a lot of time, money and headaches

WARNING - When your free trial ends, it will not automatically bill you or start on the basic plan. What does that mean? If you utilize this app as your only calculated shipping method, your customers will not be able to checkout! Fortunately a customer brought this to our attention, minimizing the loss of our ad spend and visitor exits. Nonetheless, the ad spend that we had during this time cost us more than the app does for the year. Hopefully the developer will change that. Most apps we've installed require you to agree to a specific plan that will begin billing once your plan expires without having you to re-enter the app and choose a plan. Otherwise, this app is an excellent tool and I highly recommend it. It's actually unbelievable that Shopify doesn't already have dimensions as an option for shipping. Just another monthly expense for using Shopify's platform..

This app is almost great, but it's huge flaw is that you can only use your own carrier accounts - you cannot use shopify shipping and the discounted rates that come with having a shopify store. Due to this, we are better off still just quoting everything as if it's a single box size.

My company has used Boxify for several years. It has worked very well for us. In fact, we are adding Boxify to a brand new store. I have needed assistance in setup a few times, so I emailed Boxify with my issues. They responded VERY quickly (within 30 minutes today) with the answer. I did not get some automatic reply or some generic email. I could tell that I was emailing an actual person (David). He helped me with everything I needed. I almost NEVER review anything, as I am quite busy, but Boxify has been THAT good and they deserve it. No program for calculating shipping is perfect, but I would say that Boxify is as close as it gets for our needs. We sell products of varying weights and sizes (motorcycle parts), and Shopify's shipping could not come close to handling our needs. I would HIGHLY recommend Boxify.

We offer products that range in size from 1 inch in length up to 90 inches so providing customers with shipping estimates based on one size box does not work! I’ve been paying $250/mo and using this app for a while now. THREE TIMEA they’ve changed things around and the box size printed on the packing slip either disappears entirely or prints useless info. This last time I messaged support and their answer is that the app is not designed to print box sizes on the packing slip and I need to learn liquid coding to make it work. So HOW are my employees supposed to know what box to pack in?? The whole point of apps is so I DON’T HAVE TO learn liquid coding. Deleting app. Cost isn’t worth the trouble especially when it DOESN’T WORK for the one job I need it for.

The items we ship are large and bulky and can't be packed together in one large box. Boxify is great for allowing us to set up the dimensions for the products so they ship in the designated boxes. This way the customer ends up paying for exactly what ships. Dave is always super responsive to questions. We don't need much support with this app but any questions we have are answered quickly and clearly. We've been using Boxify for years and it works great for our store.

We've had a great experience with Boxify over the last few years. We ship various products from single screws to large, heavy plates and Shopify's shipping settings just weren't cutting it for accurate shipping rates. The ability to look back and see why a specific order was quoted at a specific rate is also really helpful for troubleshooting situations where the incorrect rate was given. Support is also very responsive and has been fantastic when we've needed assistance.

The app does a great job at fitting different sized products into boxes. Set up was fairly easy, support was great. The biggest issue is that UPS or USPS or the carriers don't know the discount that shopify gives. So Boxify asks UPS what to charge, but they don't know the discount that they give shopify. So I end up charging customers retail shipping costs instead of what I actually pay.

I use Boxify to more accurately calculate shipping at checkout. My product is sold in a wide range of sizes and quantities. Every shipment is different with costs all over the place. Boxify allows me to set up an almost limitless range of possibilities. Calculations are well within 10% of actual shipping charges. If I had a more standardized product and box inventory, I'm sure it would be dead-on. I've contacted support maybe 3 times over the year I've had it. Dave has always been quick and professional. Something else most people do not know about apps, in general, is that many slow down your site's load speed, which hurts google's ranking. Boxify does NOT do that!

Took me a bit to figure it out but thanks to Dave I now have it! Dave spent the entire day going back and forth with me making sure he answered all of my questions and showing me all the proper settings and my misconceptions. The biggest thing you need to know is that Boxify doesn't take over all of you shipping needs it just gives the proper prices for customers in the cart. Its a shame that Shopify cant do this since all other shopping carts can figure this out. You still have to add all of your boxes in to the Shopify section so you can actually ship the order with the proper box. Once you do this you should be good to go. Boxify also tells you how to best package your orders too. Update! Dave has been awesome! Had a couple issues and he was able to quickly find the root cause, it was all on my side with missing values for a couple products. Love this app! I have tried all the rest and nothing beats Boxify for our needs.

We've had a positive experience with Boxify so far! We've had loads of questions, to which Dave has answered thoroughly and in a timely manner. The app has been easy to set up and easy to use-- It's well thought out! If we could suggest one update to be made in the future, it would be to have the choice to add the carrier-specific handling/insurance fee by dollar amount or by percentage (currently it can be added by percentage). Other than that minor suggestion, we've been very happy with the app so far!

Shopify does not allow you to use multiple box sizes. Boxify does. Boxify will allow you to configure multiple boxes and then from each individual product page on your store configure the size of the actual product. When a customer checks out on your store, boxify will use the size information that you input on the product page to figure out how many items will fit in a box and select the best box to use. This brilliant app gets around one of the major limitations of shopify. Their customer service is also top notch and they are extremely helpful in helping with product size configuration and setup questions. I would highly recommend this app to anyone that uses multiple size boxes on their storefront....everyone.

Boxify helped streamline our shipping. We have many different products and it makes it easy to get accurate shipping rates regardless of what our customers order. We have some fairly complex shipping restrictions in terms of what products can and can't ship together, and Boxify's support was INCREDIBLY helpful and thorough in terms of making sure everything worked properly. They are very straightforward about their limitations and great at providing workarounds for Shopify's limitations.

I was having trouble with a few of our products, that when ordered, were being charged more than double for shipping. I reached out to support to troubleshoot and attempt to find the issue and was treated rudely. I was just told "that I must have done something wrong" and was left with that. Not knowing what the root cause was and with no help to fix it I had no choice but to uninstall and find a new app. (I also manage THREE shopify stores and have not experienced these overbilling issues. My issue was also only with the calculation of larger boxes and not our small products.)

Boxify has been a life-saver for us! We have so many different variations of products in different sizes and mediums and Boxify allows us to easily enter product dimensions (which Shopify surprisingly doesn't offer) so that shipping can be properly calculated. Their customer support is top notch and they've helped us troubleshoot several issues we were having. The one thing I recommend for Boxify for the dimensions to be carried over when a product is duplicated in Shopify (might be a Shopify feature request). But we are so thankful for Boxify and all it has done for our business!

We straight up would not be in business if it werent for this app, it was a game changer. We sell salvaged auto parts, so our product dimensions vary greatly from dash knobs to bumpers. Every single product has unique shipping sizes, and further some things can be shipped together, while other products need to ship on their own (such as window glass). Boxify made these shipping rules a breeze, the app seems idiot proof. We went from only being able to use shopify for our promotional shirts and stickers...to doing 100 orders in our first 2 months of using boxify. We had one "error" in the very beginning (it turned out we had checked the wrong box on our shipping rules), and when i contacted boxify, Dave answered the phone and walked me right thru the steps to correct the error. This made for almost zero downtime, and we havnt had a problem since! Boxify rules, Dave rules, and you're blowing it if you dont already have this app integrated.

Listen up, Shopify management team! You NEED to buy this software from Dave Boomerang and implement it into your "Shipping" software if you want to maintain your status as King of the ecommerce platforms. Your current rudimentary system of choosing a "default" box for stores like ours that sell 75 different items is ridiculous. Even Ecwid had a better system than that and that's where we moved from. Boxify is amazing in the way it calculates and even shows how to load boxes. Is it perfect? No. I mean how does one input the dimensions of a traffic cone? There's still space around the cone where small items can be tucked so even that can't be calculated by Boxify. But that's rare anyway. Our shipping rates have become a LOT more agreeable to customers and realistic to us. We used to lose customers due to the incorrect shipping costs since we had to base everything off of weight which just doesn't work. The few times that we've needed to contact Dave for help have been pleasant and our questions/concerns were answered VERY quickly; in fact, I wish customer service of larger, bigger pocketed companies could be this fast and competent. Shopify, pay the man! For what it would do for your company (and for your "cherished" customers), an 8-figure amount would be a no-brainer and a steal.

I could not rave enough about Boxify and especially the support - around the clock, 7 days a week - that Dave has provided as we work through establishing our usage of the app. We ship frozen products as well as non-frozen, each requiring specific packaging - with the frozen product package obviously weighing quite a bit. Boxify was the only app to successfully tell Shopify and the shipping calculations that Product A goes in Package A and so on. I'm not sure how we would have solved this problem - which seems quite logical - but without hiring a developer and building from scratch (and spending a fortune) it was a logistics issue that no one else successfully solved. Dave is there whenever we change or add products and walks us through any steps that we may have missed. We are a very small startup and are experiencing solid volume - we don't have time to miss sales nor do we have time to wait 48 hours for a response from app support. With Boxify and Dave, neither of those are ever issues. Can I give it 10 stars?

Boxify allowed our weekend pop-up sale with 2,000+ orders to succeed. The prime driver of shipping costs is box size, and we had 250+ differently-sized, often bulky, products, plus 8 sizes of shipping boxes for them to fit into. Customer orders would vary wildly, ranging from fitting into 1 of our smallest box up to 6 of our hugest boxes, and too much money was at stake to do estimates. We had no choice -- we needed to present accurate shipping charges at checkout. Boxify solved this enormous problem for us. The app itself works correctly and reliably. It determines a boxing plan, uses that plan to calculate accurate shipping charges for the customer at checkout, and writes the boxing plan into the order note field, which can be exported from Shopify and read by humans or (in our case) other programs. Note that later when it comes time to generate the shipping label, Shopify has no idea that Boxify's boxing plan exists. When fulfilling orders, if the order requires more than one box, it is a manual step to tell Shopify which items go into which box so that the shipping label is purchased for the correct weight. Happily 90% of our orders were single-box orders. Our sale required about 7,000 shipping calculations over 2 days. This was no problem. There are more plans available than are initially displayed. If you have special needs, just ask. Support was swift, very informative, and always friendly. Dave is stupendous. I plied him with questions, and he answered them all with grace and cheer.

I had to manually reach out to the customers to process their transactions and collect their addresses. Amazing app support! Due to a bug in my theme, the app code was executed twice for each shipping calculation. Dave was amazingly patient and helpful dealing with the theme developer in fixing the bug. All is working well now. The app is easy to set up. Type in the API credentials for your shipping services, set up box sizes, add product dimensions, and off you go. I have about 40 products in my store and was able to get it going in an evening. If I was to nitpick, I would say that the app could work a bit better with the latest version of Safari (OSX 10.15.3; Safari 13.0.5), but then so could Shopify in general. The bottom line is this: I've already saved more than the monthly cost of the app by having the shipping charges calculated correctly.

Online shipping systems couldn't figure out how to price shipping, because there was no way for them to know how many of our products could fit into our boxes. The best part about the service, though, was the customer service whenever I had questions. He may or may not be the owner, I'm not sure, but Dave was super helpful. He would take the time to type out 2-3 paragraphs customized to my problem and products to make sure I understood how to set something up. Boxify offers are great service for a low price. Since we have a lot of different package sizes, we were having to choose between losing a lot of money on shipping or overcharging our customers with Shopify's standard options. Our products vary in size from very small to large, and calculating dimensional weights online for shipping has been very problematic. Further complicating things is that we have an API between Shopify and our POS system which created additional hurdles. Huge help for our company. We ship bulky items and have always had issues with losing money on precalculated online shipping rates for our customers' orders. With the Boxify team's help available seemingly whenever we need it, we have dialed in our shipping for accurate rates that don't over charge our customers or undercharge. This is by far the best app for your e-commerce store. If you only have one app this should be it. This app perfectly calculates shipping costs to the penny in your shopping cart even when there are 5 or 6 different size items. It even has the ability to calculate for USPS Flat Rate Boxes. We have 3 different Shopify stores and offer free standard shipping at $49. but we try to encourage customers to upgrade to priority or express mail and pay exactly what it costs us to ship saving us thousands of dollars. We have well over 10,000 shipping calculations a month which is one of the highest plans but the savings, in the long run, is incredible. What you also get is round the clock support from Dave and his crew who couldn't be happier to help. We have now been using the app for over a year and get about 350 orders a day and never have the estimated shipping costs been off by more than a few dollars even on express orders across the country. If you have a lot of SKU numbers like we do (5000) it will take a while to set up, but its well worth it.

I am really unhappy- i thought this would make my shipping better- but i have been paying $39 a month since april 2016 and it looks like i have only used it a handful of times. i am not sure how long my analytics information has been available on the app (because i rarely have the need to go on it)- but prior to a glitch that happened today- i thought EVERY order was using boxify. we took 8hrs to set this up- and ive paid over $1000 and ive gotten nothing. Really unhappy. :(

Boxify is awesome, and perhaps even better, is the masterful knowledge and ability to quickly and successfully troubleshoot problems when you reach their technical support. In a world of plugins, apps, APIs, and multiple parties (e.g. Shopfiy, ShipRush, Boxify) all interwoven in the function of shipping and our eCommerce user experience - it is INVALUABLE to be able to get help and keep the customer experience optimized, display accurate rates, and understand how it all fits together. I use Boxify with my company as a plugin (app) to Shopify. I had a question as to why one of the services (Fedex Ground) in this case was not appearing to customers on our website, and while this question had stumped Shopfiy on several calls, Dave from Boxify instantly knew the issue. It took him about 10 seconds to ask the right question, and enable me to fix the problem (by un-hiding the "Company" form field in the Shopify checkout). Further, I now understand the issue, which is that Fedex only offers Ground service for companies. So, I then enabled the Fedex Ground Home Delivery option, which then solved my problem as well for residential addresses. 5 Gold Stars for Dave and Boxify! Whether this matters to you or not, or whether this was my own user error or not, it had stumped many others, but not Boxify. My takeaway is that Boxify is a great service not only for the functionality they provide, but even more so from their expertise and ability thru customer support to help you use their service properly and get the most out of it.

I wanted to have the option to hide shipping method options at check out but still charge a shipping fee. It would of been an invested technical work around but Dave understood what I was trying to do and suggested I change the language of the terms to "Probable Shipping Method (may ship by a different Ground service" that way customers wouldn't be upset if they choose UPS and got USPS shipping! Excellent problem solver!

It took me less than 15 minutes to get Boxify up and running. We ship primarily one product, but have some seasonal items as well -- meaning we have multiple box sizes, and both boxes have their own weights, which is where we ran into trouble with Shopify's default settings. We also wanted to use our negotiated rates and were very disappointed that on the Advanced plan we couldn't set multiple box sizes! But Boxify solves all of that -- and you can be on the Lite plan to get negotiated rates, which is a nice surprise. This app is perfect if you need multiple box sizes and/or negotiated rates. Couldn't recommend it more, top-notch support too!

I have to join the fan club here. This is amazing and Dave provides awesome support. We can't say enough about this app! It's designed brilliantly and delivers real-time shipping rates from FedX, UPS and USPS for every product variant in our store, based on the size and weight of each product. Our framed art sizes vary greatly and within Shopify, there was no way to set a box size for each of our images, let alone each image's size variants. However, upon installing and opening the app, each variant had a size input field. Also, we were able to add sizes for every product automatically by using the downloadable spreadsheet of products which Boxify creates. After adding the sizes to over 250 products on the spreadsheet, Dave at Boxify ensured the uploaded spreadsheet worked perfectly. Tech support is second to none - they've gotten back to us within a few hours via email, with every question we've had. You don't need to pay Shopify for real time rates, you get them included with Boxify in the cost of your subscription. UPDATE (one month later): Just another shout out to Dave for knowing FedX's services better than FedX reps, who needed to go back on what they told me after some further research confirmed Dave was correct. He knows this business, you won't go wrong.

Great app with great customer service. We had a large number of variants to add in a variety of sizes, colors, materials, etc., and as our product sizes can vary greatly we wanted several options available for shipping. Dave from Boxify was quick to get back and helped me bulk add the dimensions of all our items within 24 hours (150+ items, each with 50+ variants!). The app also provides real time shipping rates from UPS (or FedEx) with a basic Shopify account by linking to our existing UPS account. Highly recommend, is exactly what we were looking for (this functionality should come standard with Shopify!).

Boxify solved all my shipping problems. I no longer have to guess what to charge for shipping based off of weight which we all know is different depending on where you are shipping to. Our company has used many different seller stores. None have had an app that produces results with perfect accuracy. It wasn't perfectly easy to do, but with support from the company, I was able to figure out any kinks along the way. Now we are hitting shipping rates with 100% accuracy! Having a person who responds so quickly and genuinely about my issues was very pleasant, and was a huge difference than most my experiences when receiving support. I was an early adopter of Boxify and I have been happy from beta through its current production version. I originally installed it because Boxify was the most cost-effective way for my store to calculate the dimensional weight of widely varying sized products inside of multiple sizes of boxes. For example, one purchase may be a guitar, the next a pack of strings, while the third purchase is an amplifier plus an effect pedal. Boxify is able to calculate the most efficient packaging for each of these scenarios and then estimate the FedEx, UPS, and USPS costs using dimensional weight. Early on I requested the addition of USPS to the shippers Boxify supports and the developer not only added it but also went out of his way to inform me of its availability, which I consider to be excellent customer service.

Amazing app! Just what I was looking for! Tried other apps but I quickly gave up trying to get them to work. This was the only app that I could find that allowed me to use MY as in my own negotiated shipping rates with UPS using my UPS account. Installation was flawless. The only thing is $19 it's a bit pricey for my needs right now. Would be happy to pay $10-$15 but will have too see. Grrrr.... too bad Shopify doesn't have functionality like this out of the box. Great app guys!
