We have been using the app for 5 years with no issues and loving it! Then it went wrong and stopped working, but Zero Carbon support was excellent and got the app up and running again ASAP :-) This Megamenu is exactly what we need to drive customers to the right product collection on our site (we have 50,000+ SKUs and over 200 Collections).

Although my theme has built in Mega Menu, I prefer this app. It is much more user friendly and it works with my main, mobile and mobile toolbar. The menu is absolutely beautiful. This required very little work on my part. I’ve been using this app for quite some time with absolutely no problems. I recently upgraded my theme to Shopify 2.0 and of course reinstalled it on my new theme (which Also came with a sluggish and complicated Mega Menu). I had a small problem with my main menu font size (my theme is a custom theme) as the app is designed to use your theme settings so it will look great right out of the box. However, my theme being slightly different than most, the app didn’t copy my font size. Calin and Anca fixed this problem for me in no time. Once again my store is absolutely perfect!

I've been using Buddha for a couple of years now, and I really love the app. I don't use the mega menu, as I'm not a fan of mega menus, with a shop that has over 6,000 items in it, but the way you can make custom menus really is perfect for me.

Gave it a 5/5 due to always receiving great help from support in fixing any outstanding issues. In terms of functionality, the app is quite robust and great for quickly creating mega-menus. Seems better suited for smaller stores (less collections OR more similar collections) than it would be for diverse marketplace-type stores with lots of varying collections. Could be improved in terms of design and CRO elements, but overall very effective given the pricing and support.

This app is good... like, really good. But it's not perfect. My biggest and only complaint is that if I have a featured product for sale with a buy button in a simple menu, when a customer hits the "ADD TO CART" button, it doesn't update the native cart. A pop up appears with a link to go to the cart page, but the actual cart on the site doesn't update with the new product without refreshing the page. - On Dawn theme.

It could be better. The fonts all look off, no matter what you choose. There is no way to select the bold or semi-bold option. Products or collection images display in a circle, with no other option. You cannot float a long list into a second column without putting the title on both columns and breaking the list into two, which looks awful on mobile. You cannot leave a column blank for spacing. All that to say, I haven't found a way yet to make this look good.

App is good and has good functionality, I seem to be able to do everything i need to do but I cant add custom CSS. However, that shouldn't be a big deal as it says in the help docs to just reach out and they will do any changes for you.... That brings me to the next point, do they reply? It's been 2-3 days (depending on their time zone) since i first reached out. No response and i'm running out of days on my free trial. Will update my review when they eventually come back to me but if they haven't by the time my free trial ends I shall be moving on over to another MegaMenu app. UPDATE: Moved over to "Meteor Mega Menu & Navigation" Looks insane and at only an extra $5 a month.

These days there are thousands of apps in the store and it can be difficult to separate the good from the junk. Let this review be your sign that this is one of those apps you're hoping to find among the clutter. It just works, it's rock solid and doesn't have outages or weird quirks. The customer service behind this app is insane. I'm used to sending emails to other apps asking clarifying questions or in urgent need of information and waiting a week to hear back, but not with Zero Carbon. We recently completely revamped our site. I had to reach out to them over and over as I found problems (the problems were entirely due to the nature of the new site, megamenu worked completely out of the box on our previous, more typical site). They opened a ticket, looked into the problem, and typically had it fixed within a business day. Ya'll... this was on their free tier. I'm not even a paid customer yet and this is the kind of service they deliver. If I could sort the app store by apps with this kind of customer service my shopify experience would improve dramatically. So if you're looking for a megamenu with all the bells and whistles and you're sick of trying to separate the signal from the noise definitely give this one a chance.

I only have two suggestions for improvements, otherwise great app! 1) the UI of the menu is a bit too easy to disappear. You'll need to hover very "precisely" and as soon as the cursor moves away from the navigation area, the menu closes. It might be good to add some delay so customers don't have to hover "precisely" and feel like they need to be super careful otherwise the menu goes away 2) On the mobile page, the menu background is set to green color by default. I don't know whether it's possible to change that or have it sync with the color scheme of the theme. Thanks!

This Mega Menu is truly fantastic, really well done, practical and beautiful to see: it is simple and intuitive to create a stunning menu with animations of the images. It has many features to choose from and I found two "plus": you can decide to "no link" to anything the menu and submenu titles (both respectively of the first and second layer) and the size of the images you want to show in the menu. Customer Support also was very fast answering my questions and solve an issue I had with the theme I am using. Thank you! I am really happy!

Two stars because it is actually a good menu. It would have been zero. After finding small issues (but large enough to warrant a support ticket, such as: the menu loads over the existing menu so it always loads half a second after the page has loaded, and loads OVER the existing menu. Meaning people see the original menu, and then your buddha menu, and other things) But the customer service is just horrendous. After submitting a ticket they asked for collaborator access (via shopify only, never replying to my email), I granted this, assuming they wanted to inspect before answering me. Then, they disabled the app, again with no email response and left it there for a day. Then I re-enabled it to continue testing on my draft template. This morning I logged in and they enabled the app on my live site - thus changing my live site's navigation to an incomplete, broken link, non-sensical menu system causing my lowest sales this year, several phone calls with "how do I...." and worst of all, revealing un-announced products to the general public and my customer base. Absolutely SHOCKING that this can happen.

You have various possibilities to design the menu (colour, fonts, position) and the submenu opens quickly in the live-shop. We had a problem with the translation and the support was great. I would give zero start if I could, I wasted a whole afternoon on this app and the entire mega menu just disappeared by itself without me clicking on anything. And I had to spend so much time building it because the save button doesn't work, it works sometimes but most of time the setting just revert back by itself after saving. After asking if there was any way to remove the zoom-in feature when hovering the curser over photos, they went in and removed it for me. On another occasion they went in a fixed a glitch that saw the original Shopify menu appearing first before the Buddha menu appeared. I'm flabbergasted by the amazing customer service. Thank you!

The menu has been working great and looks good. As I've added items to submenus, things started to stretch down too much. I asked tech support to reduce the spacing by 20% and they did so. Looks much better. (I do think that spacing between sub-items ought to be under consumer control, though, even if it means editing the CSS. You can adjust font size, so why not spacing?)

Ich nutzen das Dawn Theme (Version 3.0) und war schon länger auf der Suche nach einer guten Möglichkeit das Shop-Menü optisch zu verbessern. Nach längerer Recherche bin ich auf das Buddha Mega Menu gestoßen und bin sehr zufrieden! Die App bietet viele Möglichkeiten ein Mega-Menü zu gestalten und anzupassen. Anfangs war es etwas knifflig sich mit allen Funktionen und Möglichkeiten vertraut zu machen. Nach einer Weile ist aber ein wirklich gutes Mega-Menü entstanden. Es hat eine professionelle Optik, ist übersichtlich und intuitiv zu bedienen. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt der App ist, dass man Produkte, Bilder und Kollektionen direkt im Menü ansprechend darstellen kann. Beispielsweise kann man die neusten Produkte und die Bestseller anzeigen lassen. Aus eigener Erfahrung kann ich sagen, dass man nicht alle Funktionen auf einmal nutzen sollte, so verlockend es auch ist, da sonst die Übersichtlichkeit schonmal abhanden gehen kann. Mittlerweile habe ich eine gute Balance zwischen den vielen Möglichkeiten und der Überschaubarkeit gefunden. Ich bin gespannt, wie das Mega-Menü bei meinen Kunden ankommen wird. Was ich mir von der App noch wünsche, sind weitere Anpassungsmöglichkeiten der Darstellung von Produkten, Kollektionen und Bilder. Zum Beispiel weitere Positionierungsmöglichkeiten, Zwischengrößen und weitere Freiheiten in der Gestaltung. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen und eine Top-Lösung!

The drop-down menu functionality on our Shopify site wasn't working so we searched for a solution and found Buddha Mega Menu. We installed the app and it didn't work at first (again probably due to faulty menu structure in our site) but Budda Mega Menu support stepped in and got it working! I like this! I've tried several of these style aps and this one seems to have the most customization thats user friendly, and looks good too! The only thing I wish they had was an option to have drop down sections under a widget. That would allow absolute full range of customization for the most organized menu. Still, I love it!

The app was not super easy to understand at the beginning, but once understood we managed to create a beautiful and modern menu for our shop. The customer service helped us disable the menu for mobile, so that we only created a complex menu with photos and best seller products for desktop ( the photos were taking too much space for mobile and slowing the shop a bit).

I really want to rate this app higher but it just falls short in several areas when matching the desired effect to the end result. We were sold on the app based on what we saw on the demo store and the video but it seems as if those have maxed out the app's functionality. Back end UX is sometimes just as important as front end and the builder needs work. I also don't understand why there can be multiple columns for an element but only one row. Elementor's mega menu is much more powerful with much more customizations available. Also, the mobile version of the menu should be the primary focus instead of secondary since more than 50% of traffic is mobile. However, mobile is almost an afterthought with no ability to customize without using manual CSS overrides.

I have just started to use this app and it seems to have plenty of options in the free version to get started and lots of interesting enhancements for the paid one. Going to try for a month or so on free and then look at upgrading. I did have a small issue regarding the placement of the menu so emailed support and in less than 1 hour I had a response and within 6 hours the modification had been made perfectly. Cannot complain at that kind of service :-)

The idea behind the hover versus the click on this app needs some work as it is inconsistent in the way it works. With the hover, it works accurately only 50% of the time, which can be frustrating for me and for my customers. Otherwise, I do like the "tree" menu as it has a cleaner look than single menus.

I was looking for an app that would allow me to build a mega menu with images and this app did the trick! Learning how to use the app and building the new menu was a bit tricky, but the team at Buddha Apps was very helpful. I've emailed them multiple times with questions & issues, and they always responded in a timely manner and helped me until the issue was fixed. I used this app to create a nested tree menu because I had so many menu items. The app worked great and was exactly what I was looking for but the padding around the menu items pushed the dropdown below the bottom of the page. I reached out the the developers of Buddha Apps and explained my problem and they responded quickly and made the minor adjustment. 9/24/21 Woke up yesterday and my menu had disappeared, was unable to get it to show up. Turns out the person creating my new page accidentally disabled it on my live page. Tech Support to the rescue and it was resolved shortly! Super easy to use and helped condense our main menu on the home page in a really helpful way ( I couldn't have gotten the same format with my normal navigation page).

The app itself is fantastic, but the support is over the top amazing! I installed this five months ago on my first store. I needed some extra help and within 24 hours the support team actually re-coded my store settings to fix an issue that was unique to me. Then, five months later, with my second store, they did the exact same thing. And I'm still on the FREE version! Will soon be happily upgrading to a paid version for the extra features, and for the outstanding support!

I have tried the other apps and I love this one primarily because i dont have to manually change anything in CSS for the menu. Also their customer service is amazing. They get back to you really quickly.

I needed this app because the Shopify Boundless theme does not all for bar's containing links from being put on the top of home page. Once, it was learned, the team jumped right on it, even though it is a free app. They found the issue made all the needed adjustments and had me up and running.
