Misleading app name. To add blocks to the checkout page, you have to first upgrade to the $2300/month "Plus" hosting plan. Otherwise, you can only add blocks to the Thank You and Order Status pages (which are post-purchase).

When I first started using shopify I was able to create my own required custom check out field. Last year I was told the theme I was using was no longer supported and when I changed themes my custom fields disappeared and now I'm told I have to upgrade to plus in order to be able to have the same thing.

Unfortunately, the app has a bug: Under “Functions,” if you select “Hidden delivery methods,” it says “Delivery method X {Name}” is hidden if the customer does NOT have the tag {Tag name}. The function only works if the customer has tags. If it is a new customer without tags, the function logic “slips through” here and the customer can simply see the delivery method. This is not desired and also incorrect. This needs to be reprogrammed urgently—i.e., extend the logic so that if no tag is available, the setting still applies. The app advertises itself as free, but in reality, it is not. On the Professional plan, you can only add blocks to the order tracking and thank you pages. If you want to add a block for something actually useful—like custom order notes from customers during checkout—you need the Pro plan, which costs $399. This critical detail is hidden before you install the app. If this is how Shopify and its app partners treat customers, I strongly recommend looking for alternatives.

Product is good, however features keep being removed. It's free for plus merchants now, but if you want to add free gifts to checkout, you have to pay $200/mo. In that latest update, they even removed adding items to checkout (which we used to add a free item with a discount code). Also no compatability with Global-E Shopify Markets, had issues with discount code blocks not triggering and was told to talk to Global-E by shopify support.

It's refreshing to use an app that actually has a clean user interface, so you don't need instructions on how to use it. We use it to hide the Cash on delivery payment option for some countries and when certain items are present in the cart. The app works perfectly for us. Its a good start, but I'm hoping it expands and becomes better with more features. I currently have a date picker that I can't exclude disabled days as lead days, so as soon as it gets to Thursday customers are able to selected Monday when it should be Tuesday or later as I have excluded weekends as delivery days but no way to exclude as a lead day. I assume this will also not work for blackout days. I would of talked directly to the app developers but there is no dedicated contact service for the app but the generic shopify help, who, when I explained I wanted to add function to a checkout block dynamic content block, wrote a reply ignoring the app and included liquid code which I have no way of deploying as I have no access to the checkout code.

BEWARE - now that Shopify has purchased this app there is ZERO support. I had to fight with the chat support to even convince them that this app was owned by Shopify . We have been having issues with this app since the first install and Shopify Plus has been totally incompetent. Now they said we need to hire an outside company to fix the issue. As a user of this application, I have encountered numerous problems while using it. One of the most frustrating things is the lack of an online chat feature. Whenever I need support, I have to wait for hours to get a response. Unfortunately, the support service is probably the worst that I have ever encountered. When I do get a response, it's usually just incomprehensible screenshots and messages stating that my request has been sent to the technical department. One time, I spent my entire day trying to change the name of the delivery. However, I had to wait for hours just to get a response from the support team. Even after numerous requests, the problem persisted and nothing was done to resolve it. Eventually, they wrote that they would transfer the information about the problem to someone else, which was not helpful at all. Overall, my experience with this application has been very negative, and I regret having purchased a plan for 1 year. I do not recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient application. 05/04/24 I am writing to express my concerns regarding continuous functionality issues with your application, which remain unresolved despite my previous communications with your support team. The most recent incident occurred on April 20th, and as of today, May 4th, I am still unable to access the essential functions of the application. I have fulfilled my payment obligations for the promised service, yet the persistent issues have significantly hindered my ability to use the service effectively. This situation is impacting my store and I am extremely dissatisfied with the ongoing disruptions. I urgently request a thorough investigation into these issues, a clear timeline for when they will be resolved, and a statement regarding compensation for the period the service has been unavailable or dysfunctional. Support is not very responsive or helpful with Checkout Blocks. On average it took 3.5 days for a response and often requires a follow up reminder. The interface is clunky and not intuitive but I understand it make take some creativity to integrate with the existing checkout codebase. We are still waiting to hear back about a bug that we reported 1/11.

A quick way to increase our sales. We had been looking to add upsells into our cart for a while. After looking at a few we ended up using Checkout Blocks. It was simple to install some blocks and achieved the ROI we needed. We liked that being only in the checkout phase, it didn't increase the complexity of the data tracking or disrupt the customer's journey too much. We're excited to continue to test out more features and see what features continue to be added. Gil is also great at providing support when needed.
