If I could give 10 stars instead of 5, I would. We run a store in 11 languages across 17 markets, and T Lab handles all of it: menus, theme content, pages, everything. When we switched our store to a new seasonal campaign, a few translations needed updating and some custom coded texts were not picked up. Ventsislav from support personally went through our store, added the missing custom translations for us and explained exactly how everything works. Fast replies, super friendly and they genuinely go the extra mile. Best translation app and the best support we have had from any Shopify app. Highly recommended!

Ich habe massive Probleme mit den Übersetzungen im Shop. Falscher Titel in den Übersetzungen, ganz andere Titel stehen dort. Die Fotos passen dnan nicht zum Titel, URL falsch. Die Kunden sind total verunsichert. Das Problem taucht immer und immer wieder auf. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Sehr ärgerlich, zumal diese URL`s alle super in google in den entsprechenden Ländern ranken, aber mit falchen Titeln, Fotos, ... sehr sehr ärgerlich!

We’ve had a serious issue with this translator app where the translated product URL handle and product title for one product shows up as a completely different product. This creates incorrect links, wrong page content, and confusion for customers. What’s worse is we had this exact issue before, and it’s happening again so it doesn’t feel reliable or safe to use on a live store. Because of the recurring product-mapping/translation mismatch, we do not recommend this app.

Very bad experience. After installing T Lab, our Shopify store started having major language redirect issues. Visitors from different countries are redirected to their local homepage instead of staying on the correct page path. For example, an English visitor should land on the English version of the same page, but instead they are redirected to `/en`, the English homepage. The same happens with other languages. We checked Shopify Markets, languages, translations and automatic redirects. The issue started after installing this app, and changing the app’s language detection settings sometimes temporarily fixes the problem before it breaks again. We uninstalled the app, but the issue still persists, which suggests that some code or redirect logic may have been left in the theme. This is a serious problem for any international Shopify store. Very disappointing.

Their in-person support is helpful and actually reads feedback. I had some issues with their AI bot which was in a learning phase, and they understood my comments and implemented improvements to it. We run an online store for customized products and have set up multiple local domains taking advantage of the features T-Lab is providing us with. Whilst the plugin took a while to get my head round, it's a vital plugin for more complex Shopify sites compared to the built in Shopify markets. But more importantly, the team spent over an hour helping me try and fix an out of stock issue, which Shopify told me was their problem, but it wasn't. 5 star even when I say: no translation app is perfect, but this one definitely one of the best around. Have been using for many years (since 2021) a different app, where i had to have my own accounts with deepl or console.cloud.google.com to get professional translations (with the associated costs), till i did run into big trouble when we updated to the latest version of our theme (Venue): it seems that we hit the max allowed translations for the shopify locale files so in some languages the shopping cart was partially translated. They could not help me so I tried T-lab: T-Lab was able to do most, not all, but to a workable level, so we switched. I had to get used to the different UI, but it seems i got used to it, having in mind how little I ask support for help, which I did mostly just after switching over. Since it is using the Open AI platform translations keep on improving, and then to think all is included, no additional account charges for the translation engine used. Our website seems to get better every day! I speak 3 languages and the default language we have is Swedish (since we are based in sweden, but my own native language is Dutch so I am able to judge the translation quality in my own language and it is basically incredible! Support for getting you up and running is what is needs to be: GOOD! So no regret having moved over at all. We switched over in beginning of December 2025 and I refuse to write a review after just a few days. Last commend: the few negative reviews of this app: there are always some issues with these translation apps: it is finding how to get around it and make it work. I think we did and yes, that takes some time, but this app is well worth my time

Game changer for complex shop translations in bulk! I used the more expensive Premium Account for the openAI API connection and chatgpt 4.1. Just had to add some context of my shop and products and all translations were just awesome, natural wording and no errors. The default AI model is slightly worse, so it depends on the shop quality you want to achieve, but this tool delivers.

Installed this app after looking also into other translation apps. A lot of the translation apps place the translations outside of Shopify, which feels to me as cumbersome and out-of-control. T Lab on the other hand uses the default Shopify translation mechanism, which gives me full control from inside the Shopify interface. Translations are good and even GemPages elements are translated. I have setup 5 new languages in no time, and this encourages me to add even more languages. The pricing is fair, especially compared to some other apps who ask a small fortune to translate your site. I would definitely recommend this app to others!

UPDATED From one (1) to three (3) stars after a year and some support. Initially I wouldn't recommend using the app but the app has been improved a lot. The app is still buggy but the support is definitely getting better and faster. It is still too troublesome to find the passages you want to translate. The search function for the things you want to translate is pretty bad. You should be able to search for the url. Also sometimes it blinks and enlarge the language icons when you refresh a page.

I have now been using this app for over a year (our company for 2–3 years in total), and I must say it’s one of the most overrated apps we’ve come across – definitely not worthy of a 4.9 rating. The biggest issue is something that even many free translation apps handle better: the lack of a comprehensive search function across the entire online store. If you want to translate a specific word or phrase from a product page, you can’t just search for it – you need to manually locate where that content is stored. This becomes a real pain because T‑Lab splits content across different sections – metafields, apps, themes, product titles – all handled separately. Translating even a single word becomes time-consuming and frustrating. And even if you know where the translation should be done, the app becomes nearly unusable if someone else (e.g. an employee unfamiliar with Shopify’s structure) is doing the work. In short, this app is not user-friendly unless you already have deep knowledge of how Shopify organizes content. And even then it is a much slower option than many of the alternatives available I would avoid this one

I update this review after about one year using the app, to reconfirm the 5 stars. Although it still requires a little manual work, the app improved A LOT since I first installed it. Customer service is TOP notch, the Ai is ok for simple stuff, and when questions become more specific, the response of the live agents is speedy and efficient. The only rough spot continues to be reviews, while it seems to be working with Judge.me (I don't know anymore), I've switched to Okendo for many reasons, and it just doesn't seem to have automatic options for translating reviews or reviews from that app yet.. Still, I tried quite a few of the most popular translation apps before this one, and this one so far continues to balance price, quality and usability the best. I'm still staying :)

Previously, we used other third-party apps, but due to higher costs and limitations that required frequent upgrades, along with a negative impact on our SEO ranking (related to URL structure), we started looking for an alternative. I'm glad to have found T-Labs as a potential solution. We first tested the free version before upgrading to the paid package as a replacement for our previous apps. In terms of pricing and support, I find both aspects reasonable. A great advantage is that they even helped customize the language switcher location, and our Shopify SEO ranking improved (also related to the URL structure). As for support response times, it’s understandable that there may be some delays due to different time zones.

Did you know that you can increase your traffic just by translating your current products? If your store serve audiences on different countries, or if you want to reach a larger audience by including an additional language, T Lab is your app. The interfase is really easy to understand and their pricing is fair, while other apps charge you by word, they charge by products, so you can control your cost more easily. I have been working with T Lab for more than a year and this app is absolutely great. And if you have any issues they always reply your requests on the chat or via email. I have used support 2 or 3 times and they always respond. Ai Translations also work great, just minor tweaks required here and there if you need to adapt some words, but overall works great.
