The software makes intuitive sense and has all the features I need to run a service based business. When I needed help to figure things out, Sophia gave me great answers (with follow up screenshot diagrams I could follow!). When we could not determine why one issue kept happening, she logged in as a collaborator, found the User error (yes mine!) and gave me the directions to fix it! This software looks good, is easy to set up, and ACTUALLY has great support! KUDOS!!!

Capable booking app, but too invasive for a storefront Cowlendar does what it promises, and setup is easy. My problem is scope: it attaches itself to the whole storefront, not just to bookable products. On my Shopify store every add-to-cart form gets marked with data-cow-form-child — including solid oak furniture, which is not bookable in any sense. It also attaches data-cow-cart-observed to my theme's cart drawer element, and its script re-initialises repeatedly on product pages, leaving debug logs in the production console. While troubleshooting an unrelated cart issue, this cost me hours: it was impossible to tell where my theme ended and the app began. I also found that my "Book an appointment" button had no link of its own — the app was supplying the behaviour, so removing it left a dead button. If bookings are your core business, this reach may be justified. For a shop where appointments are a side feature, it is a lot of surface area on the page that generates your revenue. I've moved to a standalone scheduling tool that lives on one page and touches nothing else.

This app has changed my business already for the better. Within a week, I have an infinitely better booking system with the ability to do add ons, take wait list appointments and so much more. The support I received was 5-STAR. Let me say that again... the support I received was 5-STAR. At all hours of doing this project, there was someone educated in the system, FAST, responsive and above and beyond helpful to get the system implemented. So far this is one of the best experiences I have had with a Shopify app. My recommendation for future improvements would be to be able to take an initial booking with a 50% downpayment *AND* have the ability for customers to add a promo code off the cost of service prior so that it's applied to the bill. Also, applying a promo code to the first time membership offering would be pretty nice upgrade as well. Just a suggestion, even without those features this app is outstanding. I want to sincerely thank the owner and creator of this app for making a measurable impact to my small business. You have added GREAT value and I appreciate you and your whole team.

Judy just helped me out--I had made a couple mistakes setting up an event and she was able to walk me through what was going on. The app offers so many configuration options that it is easy to overlook something, and it's not all completely intuitive, but I love that it can do what I need it to do and I'd guess most users would be too. It's also fantastic to have reliable, responsive, knowledgeable support at my fingertips so my live website doesn't have lingering mistakes.

Alex quickly helped me resolved my issue. And the app is great. I switched between 3 or 4 different booking platforms before coming to Cowlender. This app is the GOAT (actually the COW).

I joined yesterday on a Sunday. I had several questions and they were all answered in real time. And it was soooooo much easier than VCita! Even a non-techie like me was able to change over all of my services to the calendar which links directly to my Shopify payment. It also easily replaced the buttons I already had on my site and I only had to make a few tweaks on code. It's a free 7 day trial but on day one of that free trial it was worth all the money I will spend with Cowlendar. Super grateful to have found Cowlendar!

Je paie pour un planning en ligne qui, malgré mes nombreuses demandes d’informations et d’assistance, reste sans réel support. Depuis plusieurs mois, je rencontre des dysfonctionnements majeurs : mes clients ne parviennent pas à s’inscrire correctement sur le planning, ou s’inscrivent sur des dates et horaires erronés générés par l’application. De plus, certaines dates s’affichent bien sur l’interface, mais n’apparaissent pas sur le site côté client. Ces problèmes se répètent régulièrement : les clients perdent patience face à ces situations récurrentes, ce qui nuit clairement à mon image et à celle de mon entreprise, sans compter les nombreuses difficultés de gestion quotidienne du planning. Je suis donc contrainte de gérer mon planning par téléphone, avec des clients mécontents, ce qui me fait perdre un temps considérable… et de l’argent chaque jour. Dans ces conditions, je paie un service qui ne m’apporte aucune valeur. Le support est inefficace et l’outil mal conçu : des créneaux horaires non souhaités sont ajoutés automatiquement, et il est quasiment impossible de paramétrer correctement des dates avec plusieurs horaires, même après y avoir passé des heures. J’ai pourtant échangé avec le créateur de l’outil, qui connaît ma problématique depuis des mois. Aucune solution concrète ne m’a été apportée, si ce n’est une proposition de surclassement sans rapport avec mes difficultés. En revanche, j’ai été relancée à plusieurs reprises pour modifier mon avis négatif, sans qu’aucune aide réelle ne me soit proposée. Après des mois de patience, je constate un manque de suivi et de prise en charge, malgré l’impact direct sur mon activité. Je ne recommande pas cette application.

I cannot recommend Cowlendar enough!!! 100-stars!!! I've installed, setup and uninstalled 3 different booking apps before Cowlendar, and none of them were able to address my clients unique booking requirements. The team at Cowlendar held my hand and put up with all my questions and stupidity, and never faulted once. They were patient and incredibly supportive, and even though we initially struggled to find a solution to a particular setup, they never gave up. Judy in particular, was incredible!! When I had a dumb moment (and I had plenty!), she tried her best to explain it to me over, and over again, until I understood. Whenever I made a mistake and messed up a setting that we had finally solved, she took over and found my error. She was instant in her replies, very efficient, and very knowledgeable. She really was heaven-sent! The app itself is SO easy to set up and navigate. It's simple, effective and straightforward. And it's so highly customizable - it really can accommodate any unique setup. I’ve start using Cowlendar app and overall it’s truly excellent, but I ran into a complex issue due to another app I must use for my country. Since we recently adopted the euro, we need dual currency display, and unfortunately that app was conflicting with the Cowlendar in a way that blocked its functionality. I couldn’t remove the other app because there’s no good alternative, so the situation was quite tricky. Theo from the support team was absolutely outstanding. He patiently listened to everything I explained, answered all of my (many!) questions, and genuinely went above and beyond to help. Together, we managed to find a solution that allowed us to use the Cowlendar app in its full potential—> without having to compromise or remove the other app. His level of dedication and professionalism is rare. Amazing app and even more amazing support. Highly recommended!

TL;DR: If you can afford the paid plan, this is the service to go with. I just downloaded the app and had a great experience with customer service when I couldn't figure something out. I haven't had much of a chance to use it yet. I am concerned about the lack of ability to block off dates with the free plan. I can't afford to pay for the app and I think this might be a deal breaker for me. I would return if I had the funds to pay for the services though.

I tried another booking app and it was horrible for set up. Two hours and 4 months of $40 a month charged bc i could never get it set up. This app is the exact opposite! Cowlender is super easy and their support is top notch!!!! I cannot recommend them enough.

Adding available time slots is way too hard. We do not do it often, and every time we try it, we need to reach out to the customer service. We already took notes, still, can not navigate to adding specific time slots on specific dates. This app is very very hard to use!!! I wish Shopify would have another option other than Cowlendar App to add to our webpage as appointment scheduling app. We have been using it for over a year and extremely unhappy with it.
