Helps create multiple sales and brings new products to customers attention.If you have a design lead store like we do, then the ability is hand pick the items you want to see for each product is an absolute must. the cross sell app makes it really easy and quick. The tech support is also quick should you need any help, but on a whole the app works with very little help needed. I would highly recommend cross sell.

EDIT: they also have the audacity to dox your name in public without permission. broke add to cart on all chrome based browsers - no support avail online. cross-sell.js flooded /cart.js until shopify quit and either showed an empty cart or a too many redirects error whenever the add to cart button is clicked on any product. removing the app resolved the issue again. before that, articles below $1 were shown as "FREE" items to customers in the cross sell modal, which lead to tons of complaints.

I didn't know what to expect and had this app sitting around for months. We finally got to work on it and tested cross-sells. I installed this app as it was recommended to us by another app. Unfortunately the support for the app is very slow and I am getting only 1 reply every 24 hours if I am lucky. Its been nearly a month since we installed the app and we are still yet to have a working feature which we are paying for. It could potentially be a good app, however I can't comment as I can not get any help from there team to actually get this up and running in our store. They also have a live chat feature within the app, however there is never anyone on the live chat and you are advised to send emails. Don't install this app unless you are willing to wait over a month for support if it doesn't work when first installing.

I love this app, we have beeen using it for quite a while. A recent update created a problem with double posting the cross sells on our site, and they responded and fixed it almost as fast as I can write this review. Top tier support! Edit 9-30-22: Once again they blow me away with their support. Had an issue implementing a new theme, and they fixed the issue, updated my version of their app (we were still running an older version) and tweaked the code to make it look awesome. A+ support all around!

Guys, don't use this app for now, I promise you will encounter something wrong. Some of the functions are broken. The team is fixing this, and it is hard to notice, but I promise it is not good to users. And it may take you days or weeks or more to fix once it happens to your store, so be careful! Mine has not yet been fixed till now for more than 1 week. I am a paid user $79 per month! I will update here when all is fine, I just don't want the other users to experience the same frustration.

I trawled the internet and added and removed several apps before I came across this one. I wanted a simple solution for a simple requirement- link matching items and make it clear to my customers that the item they were viewing was part of a bigger collection. Until I came across this app it seemed there wasn't a straightforward solution that I could install and manage myself, without having to send emails back and forth and attempt to connect to zoom calls with developers who had terrible internet and were unable to walk me through the process as I was unable to grasp it alone. Time is money and I am very impatient and I needed an app that was quick to set up so I couuld move on to the next task on my neverending to do list! This app seems to be exactly what I am looking for. Easy to install, fast, clear and straightforward responses from the developers who were only too pleased to help (nothing worse than needing help from a developer who makes it clear they have better things to do than answer basic questions!) I've only been using this app for about 2 weeks now, but it has been great so far! My company has been looking for an app to Up-sell products on the cart page for a while now. This is the second app we have tried and it is significantly better than the pervious one we used. First Review: Totally Fake app on Shopify. There is 14 day free trial mentioned on the Shopify app store description. But actually there is no free trial at all. As soon as I downloaded the app, it redirected me to the Shopify billing and charged me $19.99. Please guys don't download this and get cheated. For years without issue, I was using the cross-sell app (https://apps.shopify.com/cross-sell). However, today Petra contacted me saying the app needed an upgrade. Silly me for giving the OK to them during my peak hours of the day because now my customers cannot add items which were linked via cross sell to their carts. I have reached out to cross sell and they have no clue how to revert their changes. Therefore, I deleted their app and all my cross sells. Cross Sell has truly delivered. It has more than paid for itself with the extra sales I would not have had without it. In my case, variants would not solve the problem of associating similar products with each other. I use the app to set my cross sells. Assigning "hand picked" cross sells in my product page to create "complete the look" in specific styles. Used "global" cross sells in my product page to show best selling items on those styles i did not assign a specific " hand picked" cross sell. As well as showing "global" cross sells in my cart page. The app works very well. The response to my initial set up questions where dealt with fast and efficiently. Other issues or questions I had after setting up where met with the same quick attention and care. I am impressed with the response and help I received.

Please do not install this app - it has led to major bugs and issues with my website which have still not been resolved. The developer installed code on my site in the early hours of the morning (due to time zone differences) and within a couple of minutes I became inundated with spam emails saying items were out of stock when they weren't. I have now 3 other known issues on my site and despite removing the app and adding security apps there appears to be little else I can do. Shopify have been in contact and do not know what has happened and I am now going to have to spend money to get this resolved. Sales have fallen as my site has odd bugs and strange things going on, I really wish I had never installed this app at all

Edit Feb 2019, partly due to me along with the designer, cross sell suffered as a result. Despite this issue being caused by ourselves, Josh was eager and quick to oblige, no hesitation the app was put right and put to work again. Good job as without cross sell our takings would drop. We wish we were able to cross sell the same long sleeve blouses with several different jumpers. It is frustrating that just because a SKU is paired with another group of SKUs it is off the table to be cross-sold with other jumpers, etc. We wish there was a more customizable way to have our basic options paired with several different garments.

Updated May 30, 2018: Just stopped by to let you know this app just keeps getting better and the support is equal to none. We opened a ticket on a mobile display issue and did not get the follow ups on the auto-reply. They came to our shop and sent us a direct message so we could communicate. Now that's Customer Support! Shopify told us this app was causing major issues with our store – we left an honest review and reached out to the developers through shopify. We also left our initial 5 star review visible below in good faith as working with Stuart in 2017 had been amazing and we hadn’t had issues with the app before. My team and I were rather taken aback by the overall tone of the emails we received from Josh regarding ‘customers qualms’ when referring to our major issue, but we tried to put it down to his own frustration with Shopify itself. Shopify now believes the app is not at fault. As clients we have little to go on other than what Shopify tells us. We have always loved the app – that is why we didn’t uninstall it as the guru had initially urged us to. We are however very disappointed with how this extremely frustrating situation was handled by Cross Sell’s customer service when communicating directly with us. Their frustration should have been directed at Shopify who named their app the issue rather than us, the customer. . --------- 5 star review Stuart went above and beyond - i have a custom theme that many people tell me stops integrations of apps but oh no Stuart got it working - tried multiple layouts until we found the one that worked the best. Amazing customer servers. Brilliant product - I'm so excited to showcase related products to my clients ... and for the price, wow pretty impressed! I will be a long term customer.

Love the simplicity of this app! We already feel like we have so much more control over what our customers see making it more relevant to what they want. Stuart and the team are pros and are super responsive. This was my initial review. However after some software updates the app ruined the thumbnail images on our product pages. What's worse is that we tried to reach out to Cross-Sell directly multiple times over a week and heard nothing back from them. It's a great App but we had to delete it as it was affecting our website and they had no support.

It works! But the interface to assign relationships is painfully clunky and badly needs some rethinking. Very difficult to just visualize what's been set up and what hasn't. If we were larger than we are (more product groups) - we're about 250 products excl. variants - I can't imagine how I could keep this thing up to date. We recently migrated from Nexternal which let us hand pick every relationship for every product which was absolutely awesome but an awful lot of work, so I really appreciate the ability to group similar products rather than only to be able to assign individual products. But by the same token.... maintainability will be a challenge without a better interface.

I've been needing an app like this for my store for a while now. **Update** - I've updated the review from 2 stars to 4. I can't give a 5 yet, as I really haven't had time to see results. I was contacted almost immediately after I posted my original review, and the issue was resolved. I installed the app last week. I have added them as a user to finish the code install(s). I am almost through my free trial period, and haven't even been able to use it. Actually, it may be ready, but I have received no communication since the request to add them. I have no idea what is going on, and I'm pretty dissatisfied with their customer service/response. Hopefully, I can update this review soon.

It's a low-cost solution that works very, very well. The free installation is a huge help and I love knowing it was done perfectly without lifting a finger. It's a great solution and I love the flexibility of default and specific related product. Excellent product, intuitive and easy to use, with a full installation service specific to your chosen theme, which avoids having to mess around with HTML if you're not a programmer. Customer service is first class and very speedy. The app offers a direct menu action from the product creation page, and performs multiway linking, meaning once one product has links set up, those links will also automatically apply to the others, thus saving time and effort in not having to update each product individually. Altogether an excellent app and worth the very reasonable monthly cost.

The Cross-Sell team was super responsive in getting us promptly set up, including a customization I requested. Because we have almost 800 items, I wanted to continue to show our themes related products (which are the 5 newest items in the collection you're viewing) until we could get to hand pick products for all our items. The Cross-Sell app does give a choice to show one set of default products for items you have customized yet, but I felt we had too many products to show the same set for several hundred items. The Cross-Sell team promptly set this up and we love how it works! On the first day using the app I made customized cross sells of 6-8 items each for almost 80 products in a 4 hr. period by entering keywords into the app's search field to bring up a "click to add" list of products. There is no greater accolade could I give to the team at cross-sell, they are truly exceptional! we were under a deadline to launch. It was noon in California and 8 pm in the UK. The lads put down their pints left the ladies at the bar and went to work! In short order they were able to customize cross-sell for our shopify theme, so we were able to go live and launch on time. All of this before last orders was called! I raise my glass to salute this team. Well played gentlemen...well played.

On my second or third month now. I had very fast response in the beginning, to get me up and going. It was minutes and on an Australian Saturday evening too! However, with close to 2000 items, to cross-sell, I'm finding it needs some short-cuts, so products can be edited one after another, next, next, next instead of returning to the search. To clarify that: Initially I did "fast selling items" which was a collection of 160 items, and I was able to pull that collection, and do next, next, etc. However, once I'd done that, I wanted to do items without "cross-sells" but I don't seem able to do next, next with that. Also, the "link together" check box is less than straightforward, and I think "link togethers" down the track, may cancel out previous "link together" Maybe a "random" option may be helpful. Where if you have 56 "link togethers" for an item, they randomly select the 15 items each time that page is loaded. None of this is a real criticism, it's just what I find, having many items to work through. I made suggestions to the developer, and they very quickly got back to me, saying my suggestions would be carried into the further development of the app. I have 647 more cross-sells to edit, and I'm trying to get them done as swiftly as I can, as I can see the difference having the app has made. I just wish my initial website builder, had selected Cross-sell instead of Recommendify which is a lot more expensive and not as good.
