I wouldn't recommend this app to anyone.. Incredibly expensive if you want to access even the most basic features. Which is funny cause its a donation app. DO NOT DOWNLOAD

UPDATE: After a rocky start I am sincerely pleased to come back with good news. Apparently, my communications had gone to spam and that's why I never heard back. Once that was remedied, I can honestly say that Patty and the team have been INCREDIBLY responsive, helpful and patient with me on getting everything set up. I'm looking forward to giving back to my community and glad to know that I now have this team on my side to help in that effort! Thank you. Terrible. I have been trying since June to get this set up. Sent multiple emails and have heard NOTHING back. Try to do something good and support a cause/community and it's met with literally NOTHING. Total waste of time; don't bother.

Great app that makes our mission-driven donations really streamlined and simple. The charitable organization search was kind of clunky, and the descriptions of a lot of the charities were too limited to tell what a lot of them are about, so that charity/non-profit selection process was a little more challenging that it needed to be. But that was just one piece of the overall setup, and once it's set up it works super well.

SECOND UPDATE: The devs reached out and things have resolved very positively. I really appreciate their desire to work with people who use their app. UPDATE FOR DEV REPLY: I'm not talking about the pricing change, I'm talking about the removal of free features and making them paid. You're forcing your customers to make a decision between upgrading and paying you, or continuing with the current free plan but unable to make changes to certain (now paid) features. This is not okay, and it's unethical. ORIGINAL REVIEW: While this app is great for automating donations and providing a lot of options when you're willing to pay the astronomical price of almost $300 per month, the free user is left with uncertainty and treated poorly. I've been a free user for over a year now (I don't make enough money in my shop to justify the monthly subscription) and it's been great. However, Shop For Good and DailyKarma willing remove previously free features and move them to paid tiers with little to no notice (sorry I don't consider an email newsletter that I can't seem to find as notice). A feature I had been using extensively the entire time (donations on specific products, because not everything in my store is meant for donations) was recently moved to the paid tier. While I am still able to use it as is, I'm unable to ever make any changes or add new products to it without needing to upgrade, and I find that to be quite disturbing on them to remove features from users and then force them to pay for it to return. It's shady business practices at best and greedy at worst. You're a social impact and donation app, not a massive profit machine. This has left me needing to find another way to gather donations because their paid tiers would destroy my overhead and bleed my shop dry. They've been slow in emails (taking a week at a time to respond) and unwilling to help me out here other than to suggest I pay. I'm so disappointed and saddened by this whole experience. (Note to anyone considering the free plan, read the fine print that wasn't there when I started, they take 10% of your donations to pay themselves. So that "free" tier is not actually free.)

This has been a wonderful app to work with. I wanted to support some of the charities that I personally work with, and was excited to see most of them were already offered in their system. I was even more excited when I was able to request the one I could not find in their system, and it was added very quickly. The widgets were easy to set up and place in my store. I recently upgraded for more customization options and have been very impressed by the range of customization and additional features my new plan provides. I also love the analytics provided - they go beyond what I've seen in any other apps I've tried. It's also great to be able to schedule donation campaigns to begin and end automatically - this allowed me to have a donation campaign running specifically to coincide with the "Kitten Shower" fundraising event one of my charities was running. I'm really loving this app because it makes giving back so easy and rewarding.

We were looking for a way to do a fundraising campaign for the Ukraine-Russian war. I was really excited to see Shop for Good. Then I read the fine print. After a 7-day free trial, the MINIMUM price for this application is $270 a MONTH. As a small business owner just looking to do something good that price point is completely unreasonable. Personally, I think a company that is making that kind of profit from other companies that want to use their brands to build social awareness, raise money for good causes, and use their platform for good and charge $270 a month is despicable. Shame on you. It's not Shop for Good. You should have called your company Shop for Greed.

I love that this app gives me store the capability to do some good. It's easy to set up, and the newsletters are give good information about campaigns, charities, etc. They also have great support. I switched from one theme to another but the app got lost. I worked with Nat and was able to bring the campaign back on line quickly. If you're looking for ways to contribute, go with this app!

Daily Karma is over the top wonderful. I had been manually calculating how much to donate at the end of each month and it finally became too much. Their team not only told me how easy it was to automate the social-good aspect of my shop, but they told me about how they can help with co-venturing compliance (which I had never even thought about before). So this app completely pays for itself in saved time and other costs associated with donating. Now, to the team. They have gone ABOVE AND BEYOND to onboard and help me get this added to my store. I thought I was being a pest asking for things that didn't yet exist in their app. They just went ahead and built stuff to fit my needs WITH EXCITEMENT. I can't say enough about how awesome it is to work with them. I haven't used many other apps on the Shopify App Store but they have set the bar high in terms of the developer-shop relationship.

The Daily Karma Team are likely your best option. My site needed 17 (Seventeen!) new organizations that were not in their databases. I asked them to add them and they got back to me in 24 hrs. So far I’ve had a great experience with this app! I wanted to donate to a Canadian charity that wasn’t on the list so I requested it, got a personal email within 24 hours to confirm they were looking into the correct organization and added it to my site within a week! I had a 15 minute free consult which was super helpful- Melaney answered all my questions, had already checked out my site and even offered me some tips unrelated to the app! I love to see a service that supplies you with a lot of options from the beginning. Customer service (specifically Mel :D) is incredible! I've been using this app to help drive our cause marketing and overall business for the better part of a year now and just love how easy it is to plug and play. It doesn't require any customization, just seamlessly works across our site and handles the donation payments and receipts automatically, taking a lot of the legwork out of this kind of marketing. I also like the experience the features offer to our customers to see these campaigns and make it feel like a more personal interaction since it allows the customer to have some choice depending on the campaign type. I needed an app for setting up donations for our supporting and giveback mission and Shop for Good was the only one I could find that has all these different ways to set a campaign up and looks great on our site. Also, it was really a breeze installing and giving it the look I wanted. I had a couple of things I wanted to discuss or signal and the feedback was really great. Thank you once more, Nat! I hope that the link that leads to FAQs for the merchants and to which customers should not necessarily need to have access to will be hidden or replaced at your next update. It is not a deal-breaker, of course, but it just doesn't serve any purpose.

Great App AND customer service! I just installed this app and it was super easy to do so. Several of the charities I wanted to support were not listed but adding them was unbelievably easy. Now we can support a few of our fantastic organizations in Hawaii that are doing amazing things for our ecosystem and I love that Shop for Good made that really easy and they actually show the charities, unlike some other apps, which I found odd/annoying so I got rid of those quickly. Also, I needed a couple modifications to the template (due to our Shopify theme) and their support was ON IT and they totally helped, rather than ignoring me or saying they couldn't support us. Love it!
