Half-baked software – Wasted hours with support I installed and used this app for 3 days. My verdict: the software is completely half-baked. I only created 2 fairly simple campaigns, and in both cases, I had to spend hours chatting with support just to get basic features to work. Even the most fundamental elements (like proper text display) had to be manually fixed by their team for my store. For commercial, paid software, this is an absolute dealbreaker. Ultimately, I decided not to keep the app and uninstalled it. A complete waste of time! To top it off, here is a direct quote from one of their support reps in the chat: “You shouldn't have had to fix the app yourself, repeatedly test its behavior, or watch us manually adjust the widget positioning to make the campaign display correctly. I understand why this gives the impression of an unprofessional process and makes you feel like the app isn't fully ready for use.”

We run a jewellery store on the Prestige theme and needed a buy-one-get-one-half-price campaign that didn't look like a discount app had been bolted onto the site. Discounty handled the mechanics without issue, we tested a quantity discount first, then switched the whole thing to Buy X Get Y late in the process, and rebuilding took minutes. The excludes, scheduling and combination settings are all where you'd expect them. What actually stood out was support. Aaron and Dela both replied within minutes, on a weekend, and took on custom CSS to match the widgets to our theme rather than telling us it wasn't possible. Dela flagged a problem with our setup before we'd noticed it ourselves. That's rare. Straightforward to configure, genuinely flexible, and the people behind it are quick and competent.

If you want to offer massive discounts, you must double-check that you don't have any active discounts, because the customer can duplicate them. Also, once the campaign is created, it cannot be paused. Furthermore, I uninstalled the app and it still affected product prices. Be very careful when installing this app; it's very intrusive.

Even if the app it's pretty much easy to use has many bugs that not even their Staff is able to recognize and act accordingly. I contacted them many times for error with their usability or feature: - AI Agent is useless and time wasting - Agent are slow to respond, they have to escalate to somebody, they take 20-30 min to then explain stuff you already know and in the end they tell you (without saying it directly) that you have to solve the problem yourself. Especially on Fridays (they are already in Week End Mode) - After 1 hour in chat, everytime I just solve the problem myself. So why bother? - I am gonna change app very soon after years but now we got to the point of not return. I would not advise this to Ecommerce Manager like me.

Discounty is a fantastic app. If you're a store that has a lot of sales I would highly recommend it, as it simplifies the process greatly. rather than having to perform several steps through the main shopify store. Their customer serviced is also great, with Pearl being of great assistance when I had a display error occur with the application.

When you frequently experience Discounty reverting the product price back to a wrong price point, then trust in the app vanish. The app notifies about issues regarding this topic, but they somehow blame Shopify. If that's the case, I don't understand why Discounty even offers use of this app, when it's apparently not stable.

I had an extremely frustrating experience with the customer service. Unfortunately, it was disasterously poor. When I reached out for assistance, I was met with unhelpful responses and a rude attitude that suggested a complete lack of understanding of their own system. It felt like I was talking to a robot rather than a person who could assist me. I expected much better support, but this experience has left me thoroughly disappointed. This app does for us what a lot of apps and especially what Shopify would not. We needed strikeouts through our prices during sale campaigns and Discounty offered that amongst other features. They also have human customer service at the ready which is a huge help. Sometimes apps have features you don't understand and having a human to help you learn them is a huge A+ when running a business and having limited time to complete alllll the things that demands in a day. You do not have to enter compare at prices to each product for the price strikeouts to show during a sale which is exactly what we needed. Get this app!

The customer service is GREAT - Grace was super helpful. It's super easy to use and the sales plug in directly on the product is nice versus how shopify's discount section doesn't show it unless you add the item to the cart. Super great for black friday sales. Exactly what we needed. Only thing I wish it did like the shopify discount section is show the items that are within your discount easier if you have multiple variants (colors or sizes). It's hard to see what all items you have under the discount if you did a bulk amount.

This app is great if you if you only have one market or if you don't have fixed pricing. Its a quick way to apply and remove discounts but doesn't work if you have fixed prices.
