The most unethical app experience we've ever had. Even after cancelling our subscription and disabling the service, they continued to charge us without consent. When we raised the issue, their support team was dismissive and unhelpful, insisting we hadn’t “properly” followed the cancellation process. If a customer has clearly cancelled, continuing to charge them is unacceptable. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

We chose a free plan as we think the quota is enough. Then we found out we have been charged 189USD, 149USD,89USD for a couple of times. We then checked further and found this "Smart" FOMO serectly "upgraded" our plan (more expensive one). They set an option (in a very hidden place) saying: Auto Upgrade Plan enable. Obviously we didnt know we have to "disable" it, and thats why they leave it" enable" and automatically upgraded our plan. I doubt is is a scam, because we don't have that great traffic for the past few months, and they said it showed x amount of notification so charge us more (they said we have 30k notification which we don't believe it) Now this FOMO app chardge us around 1000USD and we barely have any sales. AVOID FOMO!

FOMO What started as a promising subscription turned into a massive disappointment when, out of the blue, we were downgraded to a free plan back in March without any notification or explanation. This left us with a barely functional app, operational only on the first of April and May—talk about an April Fool’s joke, but nobody’s laughing. To add insult to injury, the cost of the pro plan has skyrocketed to an eye-watering $499 per month. It’s baffling since their operational costs for notifications surely haven’t spiked to justify such a steep increase. Sadly, it’s no longer feasible or rational to continue our subscription. A real letdown from a service I once valued.

I think it all looks good and it seems like you can customize a lot. But I take issue in it immediately pumping out notifications and no clear way how to turn them off. I uninstalled - also because I think the pricing is insane. It racked up thousands of impressions within 30 minutes or so and we are by no means a "huge" site.

100% a must have app for anyone who already has some traction on your store, I would say the analytics aren't too accurate, but its show me a over 20% increase in sales which is probably more like 5-10% but still a MUST HAVE APP that will almost without a doubt boost your websites credibility. (also the only app that I could find that would work on my headless website kudos!)

I usually don't leave reviews however I find an issue with how they change billing and charge you base on impressions then their system misreads visitors and charges you for visitors who don't come to the store. I upgraded a few days ago and then yesterday I receive a notification stating am 90% at my limit of 29,000. I didn't have that many visitors at my store because I wasn't running any ads at the time. The first time questioned it was mention of a glitch in their system but it was too late because I have updated it. I want to k=not be charged the fact I have proof their system is still glitchy and their system doesn't accurately calculate the traffic. I use to love this app until they made updates that turn this app into crap. I give it three stars and I'm being nice base on history before being kicked out for a month without being able to get back in after reaching out and a glitchy system

This app does Social Proof extremely well and it's easy to use. FOMO has robust settings that let you really take control of what gets shown where, and the UX is super easy to use and understand. Be prepared to do some creative estimation to figure out how to quantify the sales impact of this app, since there isn't a good way to correlate sales with the popups that get seen that may or may not influence their purchase decision.

Fomo really helped us improve our conversions, especially on our paid advertising landing pages and during product launches. We saw an increase in conversion rate of 20%+, which is great. I think the most useful part of Fomo is that having it live exposes other products in our portfolio to potential customers. We've seen customers increasing their cart sizes after seeing a notification that a customer somewhere bought a product they'd never tried. Lastly, this is the only social proof tool that doesn't seem to slow our site down.

IMPORTANT : the Fomo price plan (https://fomo.com/pricing) is not in line with what you see on this page. I received several additional charges ($ 10 each time) because I exceeded the notification limit (??). Rather than blocking you and suggesting you to choose a different plan, they charge you... And that famous $10 fee isn't mentioned anywhere on the pricing page or the terms and conditions, so you don't understand why/when/how... A very bad surprise because the bill goes up very (very) quickly... This business model is not fair.

Not happy. We are on the "$49 per month" plan and have intentionally set a limit of 239,000 impressions in the app settings to guard against overages. Assuming any overage charges are retrospctive, December 2020 charges by FOMO were $129 (total of 317k impressions for Nov-Dec), January charges were $70 (total of 214K impressions for Dec-Jan). Why did Nov-Dec go so much above our cap (317k), and how is charging MORE than the next tier even justifiable? (1.2mil impressions for $99 vs. an ACTUAL charge of $129). Why were we charged overage fees in Dec-Jan with a LESS reported impressions than our cap (214k)? Shouldn't this only be $49 because it was less than 240k impressions? Of note are mysterious items in our bill called "Usage Fees"(?)... so now I'm going to have to go through the fine print and figure out what these are and why FOMO is charging us so much. $200 over two months for a product which we assumed would cost half that. Feel like FOMO writes their own checks. Disappointed.

I signed up to Fomo thanks to a link from another supplier we use. As there was a short free-trial period, I was happy to install it onto our store and evaluate it using our live customer data and I was impressed. We have now settled on ordering activity from Shopify, new Trustpilot reviews and new signups to Mailchimp. I've had Fomo installed for more than a year now. I still can't confirm that it's a must have or not. I feel like a victim of the FOMO if I'm not using FOMO. So I keep it installed. If I look at the stats I get on the Fomo Dashboard: 200 000 views - 3 sales from those views. Not really efficient at converting people into customers. The app used to be amazing. I am pissed off that something has been going wrong with it for most likely several weeks and I didn't notice until this past weekend. I couldn't get notifications on any of my devices or any of my desktop PC's. The first ticket I opened was responded to quickly and I was told there was multiple lines of code that shouldn't be on my site, and that I needed to remove the code to get it working again properly. The second ticket told me that everything was working right, but then I saw they changed my settings to show events immediately upon going to the site, and only showed 1 event, and didn't show any further after that. I tried several times to explain to them what was going on and they were not listening to what I was trying to communicate. It's a shame, but time for me to move on to the other app that's free and has 8000+ positive reviews.

Over promising and under delivering. Over three weeks ago I notified FOMO that the app was not drawing my Trust Pilot Reviews as it claims to integrate. The consultant confirmed it was a problem at their end. Despite several follow ups and 'it will be done soon's' we are no further advanced. Will it have full functionality as claimed, for you? Consider other options - this product does not deliver what it claims.

Used this app for about 2 months. It does what it says it does (shows a popup to tell your website visitors who bought what on the website recently). However, and this is kind of a big problem - we saw very little conversions to actual sales. I understand that tracking FOMO App-driven conversions might be a little tough, but according to the Google Analytics tracking we installed in the app, it showed over 14,000 notifications during the time we had it running, which converted to a grand total of 1 (one!) sale. The click rate was around 0.5% and the conversion to sale rate was negligibly small (1/14,000). Now I'd be willing to give it a little more time (although we did just have the busiest 2 months of the year, so it should have done really great already), but it's $30/month! That's pretty expensive for an app that doesn't seem to trackably increase sales... Just my two cents...

I installed this app twice. No training comes up. Dashboard is not easy to use. I dont know what is special about this app. I have the same main feature running on my website for free; many apps for free do this. I was only installing because of a shoelace integrations. An app like this would be better priced at $3 a month (or free!) as its just a simple pop up showing recent orders. We installed this app on a whim after seeing it on another store and figured it was worth a try. WOW, were we ever surprised. By utilizing another piece of click/tap tracking software, we are able to see exactly where people click and scroll to on our website and tons of people click this Notify pop-up. After 2 weeks, the response has been great! The reason we're keeping it is how you can customize the fields you want displayed.
