I tried different apps, and in some cases I almost have to be a programmer to know how to make any changes.... When I thought that I almost got it, another problem came, so I gave up and tried and tried and tried until I found Gift Box, and I couldn't believe how amazingly easy it was to use. In minutes!! I have tried many gifting/sampling apps that would start out fine and then ultimately crash our cart/checkout page. Gift Box is such a wonderful solution, that no only does it simplify the gifting process on-site, but it also does not affect the cart or checkout pages. The added push notification/motivation messages makes it really easy to incentivize customers to increase their cart value to reach milestones you set for them to receive bonuses for being a good customer. The team has been very helpful in answering any questions I may have and making minor adjustments and tweaks for the app to work as best as it can on our site. I highly recommend this app for anyone looking to add value to their customer's shopping experience.

Amazing app honestly , but their support is what got me to write this review.. We had a glitch on the GiftBox app where one of our products wasn’t adding to cart properly, and Tina jumped in straight away. She checked everything step by step, kept me updated throughout, and reassured me that if she couldn’t fix it herself, the tech team would resolve it within two hours. Ran into an incompability issue with our Shopify theme (Eclipse) but it was fixed within hours, all while getting realtime updates over Live chat. Perfect service. Also the UI/UX of the plugin is very good, both for the customers and for the admin. Best and simplest Free Gift app I could find, and I tested exactly 17 of them, paid and free. Suits anyone's needs perfectly if you just need to give a free gift automatically, where Shopify's built in Buy X Get Y discount type lacks automation (requires manual action from the customer, a discount code and/or an add to cart, from the customer in order to get the gift)

Very good app, even better support. The app works well so far. Initially we had some issues with a theme conflict but support resolved it quickly. I've had to contact them three times since installation (only once really for proper technical support) and each time I hear back almost immediately and they helped me very efficiently. My only criticism is I think its expensive for an app that comprises such a small addition to the site and that may prevent me from using it long term - but I would probably say that about 90% of the apps on here.

We first got this app to use over Black Friday, and I thought I had stress tested it enough leading up to the big sale, but on the day we wound up experiencing some inventory issues with the gifts. Because of the rush and chaos of the day, we didn't have a chance to reach out to customer support to look into this while it was relevant. UPDATE: I initially posted a 3 star review due to some issues that needed to be fixed by the developer. They immediately reached out and fixed the issues. Since then, we've used the app for several promotions and it has worked great. It's easy to use and set up. We also chose it specifically for the way it displays the items in cart as well as the popup. We are definitely going to continue using it. I WISH someone pointed this app out to me before, because it is everything I was looking for. I installed this app two weeks ago to run a July 4th promo. While I only got a couple of orders taking advantage of the free gift, I believe this app will pay for itself even with not that many orders. The graphics are simple and nice out of the box and you hardly need to do any customization. Setup is a breeze and customer support is speedy. I highly recommend it.

I installed the plug in and it worked pretty well at the beginning, the design is nice, flexible, and the team very helpful, answering very quickly. We had few bugs and Lucia came up with solutions. Yet one, very randomly, could not be solve from time to time during the testing phasis. the app system is having conflicts with the existing discounts options from Shopify. It will randomly bug or not bug if setting the discounts with Shopify (which allow more options, especially the display at checkout and the eligibility). We tested it many times before launching the website officially and it happened only few times so we though it would be okay. Today was the kick off of our launch campaign and the bug became impossible to control! 4 clients on different devices were kind enough to contact us to inform us that they were unable to enter the discount code given at checkout (set on shopify back end). We noticed that those 4 clients had selected a free gift (set with the gift box app). We tried again ourselves from 7 different devices, and the bug happened to 6 of us, while picking a gift, impossible to add the discount at checkout even when matching all requirements. I warmly recommend the service from the team yet cannot afford to loose both clients and time as it happened this morning. I would be happy to re-install the app as soon as the bug will be fixed.

Great app! Does exactly what it says. And the support is just amazing, it took only a few minutes to respond and they solved a small issue that i had because we're using a special Theme. Multiple gifts for price breaks or for the same product added more than once would be great, but still. Amazing app.

Terrible. The app missed 15% of the orders. We are in cleanup hell. We attempted to use the Gift Box app for a Fathers Day GWP promo. The app was easy to install and configure, but unfortunately that is where it ended. We tested and everything seemed fine but as soon as our site started getting busy the app began to miss orders. On the plus side, Tom was quick to provide support but our problem was not resolved and he suggested that we test other GWP apps.

Hi. Have used this app for a few promotions and has worked really well in terms of set up and shopper display. Only challenge has been automatic discounts being used in conjunction with the free gift "discount", but have overcome by just using a manual discount. The support has been great in dealing with the issue which is a big bonus!!

Gift Box fitted an explicit requirement for a free gifting tool where the customer could select from a number of options but didn't need coding into our pages. The app sits almost on top of the app and isn't intrusive. Great support with help provided on a Sunday when we had an issue.
