We’ve had a really positive experience with Giftship so far. The app includes a wide range of helpful features, and we’ve already started using several of them on our site. It also helped us replace another app we were paying for, since Giftship offered similar functionality in one place. The support team has been excellent as well. Once we switched from discount codes to automatic discounts, the app works perfectly. Our business relies heavily on gift orders with most being shipped to multiple addresses. Giftship makes it easy for our customers to place orders online saving us time. Occasionally, we hear from customers who find the app a bit confusing, but the vast majority have no problems. We’ve used Giftship for many years now and consider it an asset.

The App Store listing shows a 'Basic: Free' plan. However, after installation, there is no option to select it — the app immediately redirects to a paid plan ($59.99/month) with no way to choose the free tier. The free plan advertised on the listing does not appear to exist post-install. This is misleading.

Loads of great features in the app and the customer service is outstanding. We used this app for a bit, and it does work. We disabled it because we have a Square POS system at our cafe and customers were getting confused about where they could redeem the online Shopify gift card and were trying to use it in the cafe. After we disabled the app we kept it because of concerns that our customers would not be able to fulfill their gift cards. We didn't realize that we were being charged .05 for every order on our site. The charges can be found on your Shopify invoice after you click through the apps to see specific charges. Unfortunately, we did not see this for almost a year. Be careful to check your charges. This "fee" was apparently in the fine print but we didn't see it.

Fantastic app and amazing support! This app is very 'all singing, all dancing' with a huge number of features - more of which have been added since we first started using the app many years ago. We use features including upsells, gift messaging, a delivery date picker, mandatory checkbox, additional info box and a drawer cart with 'spend £XX for free delivery'. There's a lot more that we plan to start using in the future too. What makes this app the best on Shopify store (in my opinion) is the support. The Gist team are honestly brilliant - always quick to respond and happy to help with any styling issues etc (meaning you don't need to have code and CSS knowledge in-house!). I would highly recommend this app to improve your website customer journey.

I honestly don’t know how this app has so many 5-star reviews. I’ve been selling online for over 20 years, and I’ve worked with countless apps and developers to add custom functions to my stores. Out of all of them, this has been by far the most frustrating app and company I’ve ever dealt with. The installation process was unnecessarily complicated and poorly explained. When I reached out for support customizing the step-by-step builder for our store, I constantly felt like I was being treated as a nuisance for asking questions — even though my questions were reasonable and directly related to making their product work. It feels like the app was built by a group of tech people who released it into the App Store without any real plan for customer support. Their communication style was unhelpful at best and dismissive at worst. I found myself dreading having to email them, and I avoided it whenever possible. On top of that, the default look of the builder was clunky and unattractive for a live storefront. I ended up hiring a third-party developer to redesign it entirely, which defeated the purpose of paying for this app in the first place. In short: confusing setup, frustrating support, poor design, and a total lack of customer care. There are far better options out there.

We spent a long time looking for a gift message app that would meet our needs. Many gift message apps don't allow you to add 2 gifts to the basket with 2 separate gift messages, which was essential for us. Giftship does allow this and offers many other add-ons such as gift cards and upsells. Support were very responsive and helpful. I would recommend this app to anyone wanting a gift message app with advanced functionality.

We’ve been using the GiftShip app for some time now and have been impressed by the range of new tools that are consistently added and expanded upon. The team has been incredibly patient and supportive, offering assistance to us less technically inclined people, helping resolve style changes, app conflicts, and ensuring everything runs smoothly with the unique way our site is set up. This has allowed us to get the most out of the service. The recent addition of the drawer cart, along with compatibility for delayed dispatch dates, gift messages, and split shipping to multiple addresses, has been particularly beneficial for our gifting business. Many other apps fail to adequately support the specific gifting needs of our customers, but GiftShip excels in this area. While most e-commerce tools focus on the straightforward click-and-buy process, GiftShip addresses the more complex requirements of gifting customers throughout their purchasing journey. Additionally, the app takes into account the fulfilment process from the admin side. When orders are passed through to our shipping portal, all items are listed in the correct order according to the customer’s gift box. This is particularly helpful when customers order multiple gift boxes, as it ensures our fulfilment team can quickly identify which items belong in each box, saving valuable time and preventing errors. Overall, GiftShip has made a significant impact on our efficiency and customer satisfaction.

I'm Shop Plus and it's very helpful to use Giftship and I'm not being paid to say this, I sell amazing products not my time for reviews. Be warned: can't use ShopPay if you use this app. If you use this app and enable ShopPay, emails/notifications to customers do not work correctly -- customers get ShopPay notification that their orders have been cancelled (even though neither they nor we have cancelled their order). It's not true that this app is "fully compatible with ShopPay." We've contacted GiftShip support about this cancellation notification issue, and their response was "This is not something we are able to control, as the Shop App acts independently." We had to turn off ShopPay as a payment method on our store...which greatly impacts our business as we received over 50% of our orders via ShopPay...and GiftShip knows about this issue but has no plan or ETA to fix it.

Our initial GiftShip implementation faced a couple of hiccups due entirely to how our Shopify instance was configured (with third-party apps) and a lack of understanding regarding the features we required. As our rollout was time sensitive and our deadline fast approaching, I reached out to Jayson, Tim, Zac as well as the other amazing Gist team members for any advice and/or support they could offer. Not only were my queries answered promptly, but also with care and compassion. In less than 48 hours I must have sent a dozen or more emails about several separate technical issues, yet each and every time the response was friendly, pleasant and helpful. If you just need an app that will allow you to send shipments to another address this app will work for you. However, if you care about the analytics of your website DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP. Not only will this app inflate your order numbers (each GiftShip order counts as 2 orders) but it will also miscalculate your financial analytics. This does not mean you won't get paid what you are owed, it means that you will not be able to distinguish what you actually MADE through GiftShip. I have spent countless hours trying to figure out financial analytics including hours on support calls with BOTH Shopify and Gist and it was determined that the API between Gist and Shopify is faulty and Gist was unable to figure out how to send appropriate data to Shopify for store owners to get accurate meaningful analytics.

I use Gift Ship on my shopify website and love how simple it is to use. I recently had an issue with delivery dates not being printed on my order confirmation email. After unsuccessfully trying to fix it myself I contacted Dhopify who put me onto GS help. While they are based in Canada and I’m in Australia, this didn’t affect their responsiveness in helping me fix my issue. All done in a few hours. Brilliant service.

I really want to like this app as it offers what I need for my business. However, the lack of urgency in support has got me to rate this only 3 stars. I had to turn off ads and I'm losing revenue until they work out bugs in their system. They know how critical it is to me and yet I do not feel they take it a priority. Most really good app offer a support chat where things can get done quickly. With this app, they do not offer this. Your at the mercy of a different timezone and days to resolve critical issues. I am interested in wholesale app they offer but if it's the same level of sub par support, I'll most likely pass all together and fin another app that gives better support. Also, this app archives multiple address orders meaning its counting revenue twice when it should not, which gives false analytics for my business. The solution they offered was to disable auto archiving orders. But when I do this, the main order is a hot mess with a bunch of code to decider just to find gift message. Also, Customer facing with this solution is not ideal either as again, the coding takes over the order page. It's close to being a phenomenal app, but the lack of support and bugs in their prevents them from being Great.

I wish every app developer was as responsive, prompt, and helpful as Giftship's team! Stella, Mateo, and Tim helped me work through several issues specific to making the app work for my needs. They even helped adjust the text alignment to match my product pages better, along with the padding around their app's added text on my product pages, creating a much more built-in, custom appearance. In regards to the functionality itself, it's flawless. I changed text fields and prompts within the "Manage Translations" portion of the back-end of the app to make it really work well with my store. So far I've been really pleased with this app versus others I've tried. Load times are not too bad. I don't know how it deals with multi-currency yet. The standard layouts on the box bundler are pretty good and intuitive. And the bundler gives lots of options of how to assemble them, which is great. And being able to really control discounts on them is great. The gift messaging function works great. There's a couple of improvements could be made with the one-click add-ons, versus other products already out there, as it can be laborious making them. Support has been great so far. Had my first issue sorted within 2 hours.

Although the features within this app were everything I needed and more, the lack of customer support renders this app useless. After coding my website with the given instructions to create bundles, the subtotal would not update on the cart page. After contacting support, they requested collaborator access and I thought they would be able to quickly assist with the subtotal display. After a week, I contacted support again and was told to follow the same instructions or pay $100 to have them assist with the coding. The developer/collaborator didn't look at the code to see what the issue was - they just responded with the generic article. Considering the app costs $59/month, and the coding needed to display the subtotal was outside the scope outlined in their article, I thought the provider would assist in the issue but they have not. I hate to leave a bad review and unsubscribe from the service but the functions don't display as needed.

What kind of customer service is this?? We DID PAY. Our business is not operating yet, we do not make a single penny, so every little amount spent weighs a lot. But we were still fine with paying 60 bucks for this app. We accidentally delete it on August 4th BEFORE we get charged (on August 5th), hence want to reinstall the app. Then we're asked to pay again since we do not have an active subscription. Our receipt First CS guy, understands the issue after 3 explanatory emails. Claims he would forward it to his development team to provide a solution. Never heard back from him or development team. So after 8 days, I ask again and second CS guy, (apparently the first one went on vacation..?) never seems to understand the issue and just tells us this was standard behavior and if we had credit, we'd get that. I have a receipt and a not-functioning app to prove the opposite but apparently they don't care. VERY disappointing. There had been an issue before, where we were told - by the same support staff - as long as we're on a pause-and-build plan, we wouldn't get charged for a subscription. That turned out to be wrong. We did get charged, but were able to get a refund. And now, that we were actually willing to pay, we can't use it..?!?

We use the GiftShip app on our Cart, as well as their "big brother" Wholster app. Both are fantastic for split-shipping an order, and are well designed for user experience. GiftShip works well for "self-serve" customers to fulfill an order to ship to multiple addresses; Wholster is great for larger split-ship orders, or B2B customers who need invoicing options. The app was a huge help for customers splitting orders, although it was sometimes confusing on shipstation. For example, if a user leaves a gift message' it doesn't fill in the personal message part in shipstation. I had to rewrite that manually each time, which got cumbersome. Another thing that would be helpful is to have the 'delivery time' customized to say 'estimated delivery' of 'estimated shipment'. folks were very angry with us on delivery dates as we can't really control that, so some option here with flexible times would be super cool. We are seasonal and won't be using Giftship until next year. We'll use them again as it helped our customers big time. Thanks again!

We recently changed to giftship from another app we had used for a number of years to help with better functionality for our shipping. We have previously used another app for our gift hamper service The Botanica Box. Having recently engaged another web designer for our latest business, Foliar (a florist) we were recommended to use Giftship for that. We were so impressed by the extra functionality included cut off times that could be set to our local time and Clearer entries for note card entry. We decided to also change this over to our gift hamper service. It was easy to set up, but I just needed help to remove sections of code that are not needed now. Not impressed with the support provided to me during my demo trial period. The support was so poor I decided to cancelling account / removing. It took 4 days into 7 day trail to receive a response (after two emails / and VM). One issue was solved by pointing me to a FAQ and being told its work right. (PopUp carts are not compatible). Second issue was basically ignored. Third issue was data flow to Shippingeasy. Its simply impossible with Shippingeasy to have a product level gift message print on their platform. Documentation shows they are compatible, but the compatibility is simply Giftship/Shopify API sending out the data. After a great calls with Shippingeasy (not Giftship) support - they confirmed they do not have the ability to parse/ print the message. I asked for an extension to try and resolve or find work-around but was refused and told the product is working correctly. Decided it was not in the best interest of my company to continue when a new user is given sub-par support.

I find Giftship very quick to respond. The app is worth getting. We use it for the calendar (choose what date for your gift to arrive), gift card message and select multiple addresses for delivery. The latter can be a bit clunky which is why I'm giving four stars. When it works it's great, but like most apps you add to Shopify, the experience can depend on browsers and users computers etc. Though, I must say the multiple address option seems to be improving and we get less complaints about customers not being able to use it so I would say overall that the app is definitely worth having.

Thought this was a game changer for the holidays. Support started to respond and I felt base on their last email they were annoyed with my questions which I've asked for 4-days straight and was told: "Some due diligence is required here - I've outlined specifically where you can access the different templates, so I'm going to ask that you try a few out prior to requesting further assistance here." I reached out to Shopify support thinking maybe I was indeed the problem. Well they understood what I was asking while Giftship did not or choose to ignore. Basically the app works fine enough with multi-shipping and leaving give messages. Unfortunately the problem is the gift messages are printed as ONE Packing List, their program do not have a way for you to print each gift message separately for that one order. What's the point of shipping 4-packages to 4-different people but the packing list has ALL 4 Gift Messages listed!!! If there is a way to resolve this we do not know but at this point it doesn't matter anymore. We've removed this app and found another company with Gift Messages.

The headline is that ultimately my Giftship experience didn't work out. We initially really wanted to use it for the ability to add multiple addresses to a single order (a great feature) and writing gift messages for each one (also helpful) and delivering Festive orders after a certain date. However, the upside of adding these additional features was diluted by glitches - e.g. the additional address not always appearing (we had to resend and had consumer complaints), administrative frustrations (spotting a gift message became harder) and the anomaly that sales from Giftship 'split' orders were double-counted and thus we needed a manual-workaround to understand performance. Customer service from Giftship was mostly very helpful and I know they spent considerable time seeking to resolve the issues, and I have no idea as to whether the issues lay with the app, our store template or both...but ultimately the integration into our site was not resolved to our satisfaction and so ultimately we have removed the app. We are really disappointed to do this, just before the Xmas season.

We tried this app to help us with gift notes and wanted to see if we had any real need for multiple address shipping. In the end, we went in a different direction due to low-resolution images and camera icons istead of product images on the cart page. Support was excellent and let us know that this is due to Shopify checkout being locked down for security reasons. We also ran in challenges searching for the gift messages within Shipstation... both issues were specific to our company's needs, so definitely give Giftship a try if those aren't things your company cares about. They seem to really have the multiple ship option figured out! Again, super supportive team! Wish it was a better fit for us :)

UPDATE: I've adjusted my 1 star review, as after posting Tim & Kevin fixed the problem in about 10 minutes. Here's to happily shipping to multiple addresses again. I loved this app. Support was initially great, and there is no doubt it has boosted sales. However we have had an issue with this app since the middle of May 2020, where whenever a customer tries to enter an address the app just freezes, with the dreaded constant spinning 'wait' wheel. I contacted Pix on the 20 May. Nothing. On the 27th May. No response. Mid June, no response, again on 4th July through every support channel i could, in frustration. Still nothing. This is a great app, but unuseable for us as the support has become so poor. I'm giving it a week, then uninstalling. It's a real shame and so so frustrating. When an app is this useful, the support needs to match it, which it did in the beginning. I'm wondering whether this is a classic case of give good tech support at the outset to get excellent reviews, and then abandomnolder accounts to their fate. Real shame.

I haven't found anything like this app! As a flower shop, I needed the ability to attach gift messages to orders and be able to have customers select a specific delivery date. So far it has worked amazingly! The person who helped me was extremely helpful and was able to respond quickly to the edits I needed to make! The only bummer is that I wish we had the option to allow the messaging feature only to apply to certain products. It currently applies to all our products in our online store. The other feature I wish it had was to be able to create custom calendars for specific products. There is only one calendar that you build and it applies to all your products- so, for example, I would like flowers to have a Monday-Friday availability in the calendar, and our loaves of bread Tuesday-Saturday; this currently isn't possible, but needs to be hired out to build code to work this out. Other than those things, we love this app! Its been working great, and great communication with the gift ship team. We went back for some additional help in June and Kevin couldn't have been more helpful. We really appreciate it.

I was using Multiship to help streamline the checkout for customers shipping my chocolates to different locations with one checkout. It worked well but I was looking for a better way for gift messages to be added to each destination. I switched to Gift ship but needed the messages placed in a certain location to properly print to my specs on my packing slips. Kevin with Giftship logged in and applied fixes to all my requests until it was all perfect. He even fixed some inconsistencies in my cart HTML to clean it up. It now is just how I needed it and was much appreciated.

We have used Giftship on our gift hamper website for a couple of years now and have been very impressed with it's features, particularly the multi-address cart and the ability to black-out certain delivery dates, eg. weekends and public holidays. We recently had to log a service request due to a couple of small issues after a recent upgrade. Giftship responded very quickly and Cam was able to quickly identify the issue and get things working perfectly again for us in no time. I had a big issue with how Paypal info was being incorrectly rewritten back to our customers order. Shopify said it was not on them and PayPal said the same. By using GiftShip all the information now is transferred correctly. Plus, our gift is typically being sent to a different address and it's nice for the customer to be able to fill out the enclosure note. Lastly, the GiftShip team responds quickly and helps me accomplish what needed to be done.

Giftship works! And it fills a need that Shopify has never addressed - how to ship gifts to multiple people without creating new orders for each person on the gift list. It also provides for gift messages and future ship dates. We have had no issues on the technical side. Technical support at Pix has been excellent though sometimes a little slow.

Functionality 4.5 stars. For a shipper of gifts, this app will make ordering multiple gifts destined for different people so much simpler for my customers. For that, I am super grateful and happy. Service 5 stars. Thus far, my interactions with and the proaction of the customer success team members has been super. This is really important for me -- business owner, chief baker and director of IT (among many other things!). Intuitiveness and required technical knowledge 3.5 stars. Opportunity is with training and support materials, in particular. Not everything is logical and there is limited help text while in settings. Images and descriptions of what things are, where they are found in the workflow and what impact selecting x vs y will have would be worthwhile additions to training materials. Overall -- I am very happy I decided to get Giftship and expect that my customers will be very happy, as well!

We use a lot of apps but this one is perfectly suited to a gifting business. It is compatible with all of our apps. We have tested it. We use all features and it will save us thousands of dollars a year. I wish other apps could do the same. The autocomplete address function works well and corrects most errors in the addresses. I think this is the only app that will allow auto completion of addresses going to multiple locations. I think the app can go a bit further even!

Advised email as the best way to get quick support (creates a support ticket) rather than phone. Will stick with email going forward. Will update again after app has been running. Original: So far the support stinks. Called to get phone support for a simple questions, was told I had to leave a message and someone would call me. I missed the return call, and the number they left me to call back took me to the SAME PHONE BANK, where I had to leave ANOTHER message. The woman I spoke to was snippy- "If you'll listen a moment I'll explain how this works". Let ME EXPLAIN To you- if I can't get a direct number to someone, your support is no good. Oh, and I was told several times I would be called back "At his earliest convenience". No regard for what we need. Haven't even gotten it installed yet and I'm annoyed. Bad start. I don't need a run around with snarky attitude. I would give it one star but I'm holding out for a better experience going forward.

Look no further for a gift app. Ive been looking for one to do exactly what this one does and its all in one nice package. What i like the most is now you can have people chose items in the cart to gift not just a single item like most. It also figures out the shipping according to the items selected and if you have a rule like free shipping over 50 it works the same. Also thought i had a problem with the app and turns out it was user error but their staff was a huge help getting "ME" fixed. lol. Davessweettooth.com and their customers say THANKS a million!!

Wow! This is the greatest blessing bestowed on any Shopify store dealing with multiple gift orders. This Crackerjack team has been working overdrive for months to deliver brilliantly coded app that makes it a breeze for our clients to send multiple gifts on single checkout in our store. From the shopper's perspective its simple and intuitive. Each shipment can have different products, different gift cards different shipping options. Previously used addresses can be pulled and auto-filled. New addresses practically write themselves with Google Autocomplete. Every business is different so the developers included a ton of options to configure it exactly how we need to maximize sales conversion. Our store is 100% gift service. This was a badly needed app for Shopify and we are grateful that it arrived just ahead of our holiday rush. The support we received in setting this up was superb. Giftship is a must if you run a gift focused business. They are the first of their kind because they also enable the customer to select to ship to multiple addresses! Finally! The app also allow you to have add ons such as gift messages, gift wrap, greeting cards etc at checkout as well as upsells. They worked with me to customize specific features that I needed for my store and have been very responsive throughout the process. Everything has been extremely smooth - I almost feel like I have an in house IT support (at least when it comes to the Giftship app!)
