13% in FEES!!! The app itself works great. What kills you is the unnecessary high fees for no apparent reason. They charge 10% Tech Fee + 3% Credit Card Fees + a Monthly Fee to Pay the Charity. We are trying to do good by donating to charity. They are charging exceptionally high fees for simply processing the donation. Please bring down your fees!

EVERY business should be using Give & Grow! Being a shop owner who's passionate about making a difference, Give & Grow makes it incredibly easy to do just that! I'll break down why this is one of the best additions to any shop below. Giving back Give & Grow allows shop owners to customize the organizations that the shop donates from and how those donations will come in. I've set it up so automatically, 5% of every purchase is donated to One Tree Planted which is an organization responsible for planting millions of trees around the world. What I love is the flexibility! There are so many organizations that need our support and you can choose to: 1. Donate to your favorite 2. Donate to multiple 3. Allow customers to donate to an organization of their choosing at checkout-How amazing! You can also set it up to give customers the option to "round up" at checkout and then have that rounded-up amount donated as well. Customer service The customer service through the platform has been stellar! Shortly after downloading the app a member of the support team reached out to me to hop on a call—I'm so glad I did because that's when I learned about all of the different ways I can use the platform. There's also a feature that allows you to display a counter of for example, how many trees your organization has planted thanks to the donations. But, there are counters for different organizations allowing you to share with your customers and fans where their donations are going and how they're helping Dashboard The interface can't be easier. Super clear and to the point and as I mentioned above, the customer service team is so responsive that even if you got stuck, someone would be there to help out as needed. I wish every brand I'm a customer of donated to organizations of their choosing. It might feel like one person donating doesn't make a large impact, but when you scale that up you really start to see the positive impacts we can all make and it starts on an individual level! Thanks for creating this super easy to use platform that we ALL benefit from!!

We were keen on using Give & Grow Donations but it seems that it only caters for American and Canadian based charities. We also realised that the application does not provide an automated method to display the donation widgets, they must be added manually.

Their customer service is beyond terrible! I would give them a negative star if it were possible. I have been reaching out to their support team for close to a month with no response. The counting widget that shows the amount of money that has been donated to your charity does not show on my store any longer. This seems as though it would be an easy fix for their service team but again I get no response. I would like my money back for this past month since your app is not working. It makes no sense to pay you for a service that you are not receiving. Terrible Customer service Buyer Beware.

NO PAYPAL SUPPORT! Customers who choose to use paypal in a shopify store cannot donate and it causes their purchase to rejected and stuck in their account for a period of time, there is no mention of certain payment methods not being supported by this app, avoid!

We've been using Give & Grow for a couple of years now and love it. We are part of the Pledge 1% movement, giving 1% of sales to charity. Give & Grow makes this easy - Setup takes only about five minutes and then it runs on autopilot! When we first set it up, I verified with our first beneficiary that they were receiving funds from G&G's parent organization and they confirmed they were. Last November, we found a local non-profit and made them our beneficiary. They confirmed they received their first check within a month, and we have now donated over $700 to them without me having to do anything after setup. This app is great both for busy store owners who want to do good, and for the charities that benefit!

I installed the app few days ago. I want to delete it because it doesnt give the customer to decide by himself what amount he want to donate, its only fixed amount or round up. The app is requiring credit card for installation, and theres no option to delete my CC details! I'm using this app to to raise funds for Breast Cancer Society of Canada. It is to early to tell how that works out because I only set up yesterday. The app itself is fantastic and easy to set up. It was very straight forward. A counter was added easily to let people see publically the tally of donations. The set up with a banner I created look awesome. I am not sure if I stay with the same donation society because they cover so many I can choose from at a later date.

BEAWARE. Okay After using 5 days App is not free, They are taking 11%-/12% of the money under external fees. Let's say you got %2.9 credit card processing fee which is not that much for visa and MasterCard. Calling app free but taking 6-7% of donation money is unethical.

Most of our customers round up their change to donate. But the reporting is claiming no one has donated. There's no available information online on how to fix this. Unfortunately I have had to disable it until we can hopefully find a fix.

I am grateful for this app -- I was able to set it up quickly and it's true -- it makes giving a seamless process. As a start up company, partnering with Pledgeling has been key -- the giving component is part of our brand ethos. I love the app, but I'm even more grateful to have gotten to know the stellar team behind the app. They care. They want companies to get the most of out of the app. The app offers the transparency of giving which is a must in this day and age. Highly recommend it.

I have installed this app with multiple clients and I think its great for automating the donation process. The backend isn't 100% intuitive but the team was incredibly helpful with answering questions and adjusting donations parameters as needed. I feel like we can trust their suggest organizations and I believe that that is half the battle when deciding who to support. I have full intention to keep using this app on stores moving forward. Definitely give this a look if you're looking to add a donation feature to your store!

Whatever you do, DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP. When I tried to get proof of payments they couldn't produce proof for most of the payments they had processed! Only when I put pressure, they suddenly made one of the payments for me. I had to escalate to Shopify to get further information about the payments. The company charges you a transaction fee, over and above credit card fees, and then another $5 fee for every payment they make. US companies are paid with checks. I see there are many 5* reviews, I have to wonder if these stores have ever followed up requesting proof of payment.

Very easy to use with a professional look. I havent had any problems installing it and im not an expert... i would just clarify and advise more optional banner positions in the page store/checkout. Also, maybe a downloadable banner without the pledging amount (for first store users that dont like that $0).. we all want to add a free banner to advertise this on our store main page ;) Thank you and great job! HINT; install it on your store page to avoid getting banned by the shopify-covid-products-police ;)

Bad customer service. I had an issue with the app. It took them 3 days to respond (didn’t help at all) I responded right away and then waited 2 more days with no response at all.i guess I’m deleting. Most apps I use Atleast respond if not fix the issue within a few hours.

Be cautious! They billed me twice just days after installing, and charged me almost 22% of my total online sales for that time period, when I have the app set for a 5% donation. They were communicative and have refunded me my money.

Update: I heard from Give and Grow and they said they never received my email. They also showed me a second order that I was changed for, and it was correct that they should have charged for it. In other words, they didn't double charge me. They only charged for what they were supposed to charge for. So I'm happy to say this review is back to five stars and I'm going to reinstall their app. Update on last review. I changed it from a five star review to a one star. They double charge for the donations. I had my donation set at $5 and they charged me $10 for the order. I sent an email asking about it weeks ago and never heard back. If it was an error and I hear from them after this one star review, I'll update this review. Wonderful support. They added my preferred charity in just a few days. Can't wait to put it on my website. Thanks for this great app!

Great app, easy to use, the first app that I have found that will donate per order (by percent or dollar for order or per item) and has an embed option for a donation page! They have a TON of different causes they they support so setup is easy and chances are, they support something that you do, too. Can't recommend this app enough!

This is a clear sign of a Fraud and exploitation. STAY CLEAR. UPDATE After listening to our feedbacks, Give & grow has Added the feature to let us choose specific Charities to donate to... I can Also embed an impact banner on the product and homepage which shows how much is raised for the charity. I donating to Greenpeece as they are genuinely fighting to protect the Earth A few problems with this thats open to abuse 1. You cant choose and display a specific charity you are donating to. only options like "Support the environment" "Save animals" etc and no specific Charities to choose. which will make buyers very suspicious if they dont know who you are donating to and no way to verify you as a "Verified donator/Sponsor" on the charity's website. Most charities list their donors on their website to prevent frauds/fake websites etc advertising their charity and pocketing the donations themselves. 2. Im asked to provide my credit card details to receive Payment. not comfortable with sharing my credit card details in any way. other than by paypal.

If you are thinking about adding a donation component (you def should have fun) to your website but you're worried about the extra work it will require, worry no more! Give & Grow makes it super easy for you to literally GIVE donations to any organization you want and GROW your business by providing the assets needed to tell the story within your customer's journey to purchase. Not sure who you want to donate to? With a few clicks, you can browse their database and find the perfect organization for your brand. If you already have a charity partner but they haven't joined Pledgeling, they can get set up in like 5 mins (which Pledgeling does for them). Our donation program wasn't overly difficult to manage before, but the time required for the little things like tracking the sales/donations and sending the monies regularly starts to add up quickly. Now thanks to Pledgeling, I've got a few extra hours each week that I can devote to my real passion, watching cat videos on Youtube. O, and their support folk; Melissa and Paul, have been super duper to work with. They have been very quick and patient with all of my nonsense questions during the setup. You can't go wrong with the Give & Grow app from Pledgeling. DO IT!
