I originally moved from Wix to Shopify specifically so I could use Growave from an experience with this app from another retailer, and I’m really glad I did. The app has been great for setting up our loyalty rewards and reviews, but the support team has been the standout. They’ve been extremely helpful, responsive, and patient throughout the setup process, including helping troubleshoot some DNS issues on my end. Nothing has been too much trouble, and they’ve made the whole process really easy. Highly recommend them!

Generally a good app at a good price. We are using the Klaviyo integration and sending reviews and follow ups with Klaviyo. There was an issue with the way our external email devs set up the Review requests that some reviews were credited to the wrong customers. When first identifying the issue and reaching out to the Growave support team, they were quite defensive looking for reasons that our observation was incorrect and that the reviews were with the correct customers. Instead of being accepting of issue and working together in trouble shooting to find the root cause.

I've been using this for years. The 199/month plan doesn't let you download customer data, and importing is a hassle. The translation is absolutely awful. There are plenty of cheaper apps out there now with similar features. I highly recommend new users avoid this app.

From the beginning of our 12-month journey with Growave, they've overpromised and under delivered. At the time we chose to install their app they had assured us the most important features we needed were going to be released within the next 30 days. Those features took another 180 days to be released, and even then, they weren't what had been described to us in our initial discussions. To make matters worse, Growave appears to have been caught entirely unaware and unprepared when Shopify required them to have a separate app for B2B and DTC stores last year. As a B2B store platform we were told by one of their employees that we needed to push an update to our store for their app. Once we did so, we lost the entire functionality of the app, along with any history or reporting from prior transactions. It appears to us they instructed their employees they needed to force all the B2B stores off their DTC app, and hadn't yet begun to build a B2B replacement app. In the months since, while attempting to work with their team to fix the problems they created - they've given our customers double the number of rewards they were supposed to have; their app has on multiple occasions allowed their discount coupons to be used multiple times on separate orders; and to this day we're still unable to download any of our store's reward data, with it taking multiple days to get the information sent to us from them. This app has cost thousands of dollars in erroneous rewards given out along with the hundreds of hours required by my team to investigate and attempt to rectify the many problems their app has created for us.

Worst experience I've had with an app or customer service. We tried this app, but it just didn't cut it, plus it has quite a few bugs and limitations, so we decided not to use it..., even though it sounds enticing and attractive to have Reviews, Wishlist and Loyalty all in one integrated app - but nothing further from the truth. But I thought, fine, not for us, let others make what they will of it, but we will uninstall it. And this is where the nightmare has started. We are 3 months after uninstallign the app, and we have still not managed to get rid of this app. The app installs counless: metafileds, metaobjects, structured and unstructured, read and read-only metafields and metaobjects. Your website gets riddled with about 20-30 such fields in: prodcuts, variants, customers, orders, etc. + garbage code that affects your website's performance. The worst part is that you simply can't remove them, even after the app has been removed. It completely messes up your website. We have gotten in contact with them countless times: dozens of emails, hours wasted, back and forth with incompetent customer service (different people, so not just one person) who simply can't remove them, doesn't know how to remove them, and/or they think they have removed them but have no idea if they did or not. They do not acknowledge the removal even after I sent them countless screenshots. I have also given them total access to the website, but they were still incapable to remove them. Not to mention all the weeks lost while they say they will get back to you with an update, and they never do. We have contacted Shopify support who have also raised this as a priority with them... still no result. Even Shopify can't hold them responsible. Shopify support agrees with me, and simply can't get a hold of them. Not even Shopify support has access or the power to remove all that garbage left behind by the app. Absolute madness. 3 months in, and we still haven't got a resolution. They even stopped replying now. I simply don't know what else to do, I'm desperate. I didn't want to give this review but it has to be a WARNING to everybody else. DO NOT mess your website with this app, unless you want to cause irreversible damage. I'm not even sure how they're allowed to operate on the Shopify app store when even Shopify support said this is unnaceptable. I'm not sure how they got those positive reviews when their customer service is so abysmal. Please, someone at Growave customer service get in touch with me, to look into this.

WOW! Growave combines wishlists, rewards, and reviews into a single system. This alone allowed us to significantly reduce the number of apps running in our store. Even more importantly, Growave is the first solution we have used that works reliably, professionally, and consistently. For the first time, we have seen that our customers do not just notice wishlists, but actually use them actively. This is not due to a single feature, but because Growave’s experience and thoughtful implementation can be felt throughout the entire system. This level of consistency and usability was something we clearly missed with our previous provider. The email notifications are well structured, logically designed, and highly customizable. The rewards system also stands out with features we have not found in other solutions. One particular highlight is the ability to offer free shipping as a reward for sharing on Facebook. The presentation of the reviews is outstanding as well. On mobile, two subtle icons are displayed that do not interfere with the user experience. While Growave was initially very willing to help us set up their loyalty program exactly as we envisioned, their support has been insufficient when it came to resolving issues that arose later. We operate with multiple markets where product prices differ. Although the free-product reward works correctly in our base market, customers in other markets are unable to redeem a true 100% discount and are still required to pay a remaining balance. Their team initially informed us that they had identified a solution, but we soon discovered that it did not work in practice. When we reached out again, we were told that no other options were available. Moreover, when we asked whether they could assist us in configuring a percentage-based reward as an alternative to the free-product option, they showed no willingness to help or explore possible customisation. An utterly disappointing approach from a service we had trusted to support our business long-term.

Update: it's now April 27, 2025 (initial review June 2, 2024) and I just want to share that I still love this app and the support. Growave has some of the best support ever. On one hand, I rarely need the help because the app is so good on its own (as you see, it's been almost a year since I last contacted them), and on the other hand, when I do have a question, the support team always has quick and accurate answers. I really appreciate it! Original review - I have to give a shout out to the Growave support team. I haven't needed to consult them often, but the few times I have over the past year, they've responded very quickly (often within an hour!) with helpful fixes. Shopify integrations can be tricky, especially with as many features as we get in the Growave Loyalty app, but even with my custom themes, Growave support has been fast and accurate in keeping me up and running. It is greatly appreciated, especially considering how reasonably priced this app is. And with so many features under one app umbrella, once you get the hang of its configuration, it's the same for all the features. It makes backend maintenance a whole lot easier. I use a lot of apps in my shop and Growave's are the best.

Growave has seen a lot of improvements recently, especially with V2, which brings better customization, improved branding options, and increased reliability. I've been using Growave extensively: VIP Tiers, Rewards, Reviews, Wishlist, etc. And while I had some reliability concerns in the past, they’ve really stepped up over the last year. One of the biggest advantages is the seamless integration of features. You can reward customers with loyalty points for leaving reviews, and such, which adds value. For the price, you’re getting tons of great functionality in one app. And of course, the customer support is outstanding. They solve all your problems, go above and beyond, and are even willing to make minor customizations. Always responsive, always knowledgeable, and always helpful. We wanted a simple Rewards app and ended up with a polished solution that offers so much more. Features like Reviews (with the ability to add photos), Wishlist (with optional notifications for out-of-stock products), POS integration (crucial for those with a physical presence), and a nifty Instagram widget (to display and tag content) exceeded our expectations. The core Rewards system has everything we need: rewards for orders, signups, referrals, and an optional VIP tier system. Beyond the features, the ease of use is remarkable. I was an early adopter of Growave when they just started and had 2 stores on their Basic plan which is $9/month. I have been giving a lot of feedback and invested much time and money to integrate the app into my current stores. Just recently, they announced a new 2.0 Dashboard rollout on 15 Mar and I will lose access to my dashboard, and my current plan is no longer offered. Honestly, it is just the dashboard UI update and the features generally remain the same. For me to enjoy the same set of features (VIP tiers, custom address to send email, etc), I will need to upgrade to their Growth plan, which is $149/month! That's like 16x more expensive. We are a small brand and have two stores, and it is way over our budget. I wrote in to ask the support and was told if I chose not to upgrade my plan, the dashboard would be blocked and the widgets will be disabled on your site. I am happy to see that Growave.io has grown to what it is now, but shouldn't you also take care of your early loyal customers? I wish that you had a better way to handle this as many other companies would still honor the grandfathered plan even if they introduced the price plan change (maybe without the newer features) Truly disappointed. --------- UPDATE: Binazir from Growave reached out to us and helped us to transition smoothly to the new version 2.0 upgrade. We are thankful for her responsive reply and ensuring everything is working accordingly.

UPDATE: The Growave Team has been amazing to help rectify this and assist with all setup. They've gone above and beyond to rebuild goodwill and create smooth systems going forward. So appreciated! _____________ First of all, the app itself seems great. We haven't launched it yet and are still setting up our program. However, this app does not have a "setup" mode. There is a big banner on multiple pages that says, "Action required - Growave is not activated." One would interpret this to mean that it's safe to set the app up and play with settings to see what works best for our shop. Nope. Everything is live immediately. Growave emailed several customers that they earned points in a rewards system we haven't launched, and it requested reviews from people without permission, too. We're not even sure we want to use the reviews feature. I was mortified and had to have Growave customer service send me .csv files of those contacted (because I couldn't even find WHO got emails). It was pure luck I discovered people had been contacted at all. This is an embarrassingly huge flaw. I tested other apps before testing Growave, and those apps didn't reach out to customers without giving me a head's up, notification, or some sort of permission wall. If there are settings in the backend that trigger communications, those need to be CLEARLY labeled. Because if "Growave isn't activated" doesn't actually mean "Growave isn't activated," then there is literally no way to know the customer-facing implications of simply creating a reward system framework.

I've been using the app for about 2 years now and my customers love th loyalty and referral program : transparent and easy to use. I also use the review feature and I've been able to collect a lot of them easily. I would definitely recommend Growave as your go to loyalty app

Great app for loyalty programs and wishlist creation! Very intuitive, easy to use on both ends! Growave team is also extremely helpful in solving all sorts of issues - smooth communication, timely responses and fast problem solving. Highly recommend it! I've tried a couple of similar apps and so far Growave is the best, definitely worth it. However, update to 2.0 version changed the reviewer's name presentation function which I personally find absurd. After the update, in the free version, client's full name and surname are visible under the review, and if you want to keep your Client's information private and only show the surname's first letter, well, then you need to upgrade to a paid plan. Shouldn't privacy be a default option? I understand that you want to give Store Owners flexibility, and that's amazing, but keeping Client's surname hidden is such a weird thing to ask us to pay for. What I love about the update is the new design, it's clean and professional. Thanks for that.

This app is terrible!!!!!!!!!! I found out that all the coupons they generate are still active after customers redeemed them (making you lose money)! I contacted them 5 times, and they escalated the case, it's been 3 weeks and no one got back to me. They increased their price dramatically. CUSTOMERS CAN REDEEM DISCOUNTS GENERATED FROM THE APP ALL THE TIME AND IT DOESN'T DEACTIVATE THEM, MAKING YOU LOOS MONEY OVER AND OVER AGAIN. They just announced another price increase, forcing you to pay $200 a month what used to cost $49 !!! Hopefully I'll find a competitor that will be loyal to his customers and won't charge them 35% more every year.

Been with Growave for a while, over a year now. Everything has been good. Email yesterday stating new 2.0 Dashboard rollout on 3/15 and I will lose access to my dashboard, and my current plan is no longer offered, the $9 sub is now a $49 monthly sub. As a small business owner I can't eat that monthly price increase for essentially the same product. I used the Loyalty/Rewards and Reviews portion and once I got it all ironed out it seemed to work good. and my customers liked it. Not anymore! I give 3 stars cause the tech worked, it was reliable, but the end results of no options to continue for small business I leave 3 Stars. Good luck!

Edit: With Growave V2, the platform seems more stable. Support is responsive and good at resolving issues. Still, the occasional bug but that is to be expected I suppose. We highly recommend Growave for your store. Growave promises an all-in-one marketing solution. At first glance, this seems to be true, but we're in the process of incorporating it into our brand-new website, which isn't even live yet, and we're running into bug after bug. The support eventually resolves them, but then we run into something else that doesn't work. They say we're the only ones impacted by these bugs, which I highly doubt since we're a fresh store with no legacy and few other apps. We like the promise of it but have been pretty disappointed so far. We hope our experience will increase soon, or we'll have to start looking at alternatives.

I've been using Growave for years to offer customers the ability to add photos to their reviews and for the loyalty program so they can earn points on purchases. I love the Wishlist feature too! It's easy to customize the widgets to be on-brand, and the team has been super helpful to even further customize my widgets! I've never had any issues with Growave messing up my store code and the widgets load quickly so as not to slow down the user experience. Over the years I've let go of many apps but never this one :)

The "buy now button" on my store's product page was not loading properly. Upon investigating I was able to identify custom code changes in the product-template.liquid file as the cause for this behaviour. There is some residual code from the app [Growave: Loyalty and Wishlist] which interferes wuth the product-form - so the buttons. This app's developers have no responsibility and leave bugs in theme that interfere with other buttons. I don't think they did this on purpose, but it leaves room for improvement.

I have used this app for a year. Every time I update my online store theme, the app stops working and I have to wait days to a week for my customers to be able to access their points and rewards again. As a brand that launches new product once a month, this has been frustrating for customers to not be able to access their points or rewards on our launch night. I've had an ongoing issue in trying to change our VIP tiers to align with our brand story. Chat has been circular and simply regurgitating the help center information. I am uninstalling and trying a different app. I would not recommend Growave.

It's an ok app. I've had nothing but issues trying to set it up but the support team has been helpful in resolving issues (5 stars for Yzat!) If you have a POS store this is definitely not the app you want to use. Not having an option to have a variable discount for the POS sucks. I'm too far into it with this app that I'll keep it around for now.

We were changing themes and had a lot of customizations we wanted to do. So our onboarding process was super long as we always added things we wanted to add or change. We've been with Growave for about 3 years now and their app has grown so much in that time. It's pretty user-friendly (much better than when we first signed on). They're always developing their app to be more intuitive and have more features/compatibility which is great. While they're fairly expensive (we're on their Enterprise plan), they're actually cheaper than a lot of other apps and they give a nice discount for their yearly subscription. The best part is that their customer service and development team are VERY responsive. They're always quick to get back to you and resolve any issues that arise. They're even willing to custom code certain things to make the app fit your store.
