I had given these guys a horrible review 9 years ago, but it appears that they have changed quite a bit since then. I needed help this morning and got Caleb on live chat in about 30 seconds. He was extremely helpful and within about 10 minutes he got into my Shopify store and fixed my FAQ problem. He was very attentive and his communication with me was excellent. I highly recommend these guys!

We use this app for our FAQ. Recently (September 2025) it revised its permissions to request full access to all our customer and order data. This is insane. We have no desire to give this app such sensitive data, just to use a FAQ. Regretfully, we may have to uninstall this app and migrate our FAQ to another app. What a waste of time.

I just installed the app today and had a little issue with getting the contact form on my store. Even though I was on the free plan I had live customer support immediately and my issue was resolved very easily. I was considering using the paid plan for FAQ when my store launches and added the contact form on a whim. I would not recommend this app to others because of the same reason that most of the others have given it a 1 star review... they changed the pricing model so that functionality that was free was no longer free. This had a direct impact on your live site because now only 5 FAQs were displayed on the site and any other FAQs were no longer live. The danger here is that the creators of this app directly affected your live site and the information that was displayed by changing their pricing model and forcing you to pay for functionality that was free. They also force you to upgrade and pay in order to get an export so you have to manually copy each individual FAQ from their app which means you have to edit every single one to copy the answer. Would not use any of their apps in the future.

Good app for FAQs, for the most part. Comes complete with schema markup and the ability to link to specific Q&As. The template choices are limited. There are a couple of issues with technical SEO/accessibility: 1) There are three levels for Headings and Q&As: Category > Section > Articles. If you don't use categories AND sections then you end up with skipped heading levels. In our case, we don't need a subcategory/section within each category. 2) It comes with it's own title tag, which means you get flagged in SEO audits for having multiple title tags. There's no documentation about it this, or how to work around it. I've found that you have to edit the theme code so that the Shopify title tag isn't inserted on this page. 3) The app is heavy, so the FAQs page gets flagged for being slow.

Alright alright hear me out - there is a lot of frustration here about how they handled the transition to the new (paid) subscription plans. I was frustrated too when suddenly my 5 FAQ articels were deleted, just because I didn't select any plan in time. BUT the Helpcenter guys listened to all the negative feedback and restored every FAQ article. The support team was very helpful and there was compensation for the inconveniences. The new subscription plans are fair in my opinion. The App is easy to use and has been updated with new features and an easy interface. Honestly if it weren't for that bumby transition phase, I think the App would have close to 5,0 stars.

I used this app on two of my stores until they decided to charge obscene amounts of money for simple functionalities that a lot of other apps provide for free or very little $$. New structure is 100% not worth the money, as the app does nothing special that a hundred others don't do. edit based on their reply... my complaint is not that you didn't tell me it was happening... my complaint is that your pricing structure is asinine.

It was free to use at first, and I thought it worked well, but later it was charged, which I thought was unreasonable. I used a lot of information and content on the FAQ function provided by you, but suddenly changed it to charge, which is obviously unreasonable. Should be later to use the user charge, the old user does not charge. Now I bought a topic that provides FAQ functionality, and now I have to spend a lot of time migrating data.

I was wondering why my customers were leaving my store. Just by chance I opened up FAQ's and discovered most of them had been blocked by this company! Extremely hurt and damaged due to their actions. Now my store looks FAKE and SHODDY. What this company did was Disrespectful and Embarrassing. I was never alerted about their decision to change their original Plan options. Do not trust this company as they are very Hurtful.

UPDATE #2: HelpCenter was able to restore the original data which luckily we didn't have to rely on because of WayBack Machine, but at least they fixed it. Prior to this issue, the App was great and we had never had an issue, but this whole plan transition experience has made us a little wary of future decisions they might make. I've brought the review back up to 4 stars in the meantime. UPDATE #1: Our Customer Support manager had a brainwave and decided to check WayBack machine. LUCKILY, our website has been crawled back in December and we were able to scrape the FAQ page from their backup. We were able to rebuild the page now but this doesn't excuse the developers action on this and many stores won't be so lucky, so the review stands. ORIGINAL: BEWARE! They just erased my ENTIRE Help / FAQ page. They are claiming that they have been sending emails about upgrading to their new plan tiers. I found ONE email in my spam folder about updating from two weeks ago and there is NOTHING about the content being deleted upon the changeover. I've just contacted the Help team and they are telling me tough luck. I can understand needing to change your pricing structure, I would have had no issues with upgrading to the next tier up, but you can't just permanently erase a stores entire Help/FAQ page and kick them to the curb. This is UNREAL! If they can recover the data then I will update this review. Until then I would STEER CLEAR of this app 100%.

Horrendous way of forcing existing customers (onboarded since 2017) to upgrade to a paid plan. No notifications were sent to inform that free plans will be phased out. As a result, we just found out that our content was removed from the widget without our permission. We also lost our access to our existing content for migration unless we pay to upgrade. The high-handed and mercenary approach left a really bad taste in our mouth. We have a few web stores subscribed to their paid plans as they were launched recently. It's a no brainer - we are going to take the business elsewhere.

DO NOT PAY FOR THIS APP. AVOID - like everyone else is saying, they have deleted all the data that was on the FAQ page due to a change of plan (from free to paid). There was NO notice that the data would be deleted and they are not doing anything to recover the data. Given that you have at no point mentioned the content would be deleted if you don’t upgrade I assume this was a mistake on your end and that this shouldn’t have happened. In which case what you should do is notify every store owner who didn’t upgrade about this and apologise for your mistake. I’m sure there are hundreds of store owners right now who have no idea that their FAQ page is missing (it’s not a page we check regularly!) and your actions/mistakes are hurting their business. Notify them ASAP otherwise I am certain each and every one of them will leave you one star when they realise you deleted their FAQ sections. Just to clarify - My issue is not that I now have to pay to upgrade. We hold our hand up, we missed your emails on having to pay. Again, the fee is not an issue. Our issue is that you have deleted all of our data!

I was using the FAQ feature of this app for many years. This was free. However, they decided they needed to charge if you had more than 5 FAQ articles. When they launched the pay plan, instead of just limiting your display of FAQ articles to 5, they deleted all of your content beyond the 5 articles. So, even by paying the money to upgrade, I would have had to recreate all of my content in their system. Very foolish and they lost me as a customer.

In principle, the software looks great and provides alot of features, however thats if it works... which it does not. I trialed this for the reason of being able to respond via my mobile when i am not at my desk, and also to notify me. The mobile app does alert you,but then fails to work. any responses sent via mobile dont work. The user never gets to see the responses (this didnt work via tablet either). I also tried entering the name and email of people who had ordered, but the desktop version nor mobile failed to correlate the previous order, so that was the other reason i tried it. To top it all, when trying to correspond with the support people using their chat, that chat doesnt work all the time either - you have to constantly refresh to avoid missing chat from support - and it seems they have used the same code in the app. In summary, the software looks great, if it works - However it looks like they released this much sooner than they should have, and using the customers as test subjects to debug their code. I would avoid this for now, maybe come back in 6 months time to see if it has improved

I was considering changing to the paid plan, started the trial and send 2 different, simple, inquires to customer support, one regarding the tabs and one regarding my technical inability to make use of the black friday offer. 2 weeks passed and I have yet to receive an answer to any of my emails or reminders. Their customer service used to be better in the past,.so sad. Needless to say, I left the trial and I m back on the free plan.

The ticketing system is quite nice for most things, and the one time we had an issue with a form the team responded and fixed it the same day, which is pretty huge. There are a few minor nuisances like the ticketing page needing to be manually reloaded to view customer history and the way some search terms and results persist after you switch "bins", and need to have the search terms manually deleted to view the contents of the new bin. Despite a few bumps, quite a good experience overall.

The FAQ is great, but there are a LOT of bugs with Helpdesk (archived emails reappearing, receiving duplicate emails in inbox, archive function simply not working). Today I am even unable to open certain emails. Also you can't easily see your sent messages (you have to create an automated rule to tag your outgoing tickets which seems silly)

I have used this app for the FAQs for nearly 18 months which was great for our website, easy to install, configure and maintain. I then started to use Tabs on our product pages, this also was very easy to set up and use and is great for saving time when editing the same content on multiple products in addition to keeping maximum information in a smaller more manageable style. Very happy with the support I received when I encountered a few difficulties.

I initially signed up for the free plan and had a couple of support requests/customization questions regarding my theme & colors to be used for the different controls, labels, etc. Honestly I wasn't expecting immediate support and actually fixing the color theme on behalf of me but their support did it anyway to my complete & fullest satisfaction. They were super fast, very professional - even that I was only on their free plan.... We use the app for customer support dashboard and chose it because it's simple and straightward as our needs are not very elaborate. The decision, after using the app for 2 months, is proven to be excellent. Everything works as it should, and we don't need to think about using it, it's a logical extension, and it works flawless. Additional, when we encountered a problem, the support team went out off their way and did not just do their job but pointed out the exact cause of the problem which lied outside the app itself, so it was an easy fix!

i have written to the provider twice to find out if i can simply delete the app i no longer need, or if i have to delete code to do so. unfortunately, i never received a reply. always very fast when selling, very poor when helping (hot even "help center"). do i get a reply now? UPDATE: 26.07.2021 After this review I was contacted. The support had supposedly written to me. In the communication it was noticed that they had forgotten a letter in the email. I was helped in the meantime and my questions were answered 100%. This is why I update my stars from 1 to 4 stars!

--- Update: The developers reached out to me personally and have been ultra-responsive to address my concerns. My primary interest was finding an app that allows bulk upload/import... the options presented in this one seemed to allow for that, however it appears that NONE of them do that (based on helpful discussion with the team here.) I decided to stick with this app since the overall UI is still very good - and their personal support has been impressive. Our FAQ is now loaded and formatted, and we are very pleased, overall. I've been trying for an hour to get this app to work. Won't import. Won't export. Crafted an email to their support to try to get help, and it bounced back. Desperately need an FAQ that works - Have tried 5 on here with no success. This was a total bust. No idea how it got a high rating with so many users. Anybody out there who can help me??

I think the app itself is great and the customer service is quick and very friendly. but it is a bit buggy. Older articles cannot be deleted, there were problems with moving articles around and inheriting the font from the theme. So I hope this will be fixed in the long term to provide better usability. The auto-reply email feature only works if the incoming email is formatted a certain way. For example, an incoming message from "First Last" firstlast@example.com will not receive an auto reply. If you try to reply to said message, the app gives you the following error message "the to.O field is invalid" (and yes, that is exactly how it is spelled). Even the error messages have an error. There were also other inconsistencies that let me know that the developer didn't test the app to make sure that it looked and behaved right. For example, the Live Chat area template mentioned an email template (two separate areas). Some areas also didn't have complete sentences so you had to guess what it was trying to say. Overall, I am tired of developers pushing out apps without fully testing them first. I wish Shopify did third-party testing before allowing any app to be sold in the App Store.

We went for the premium option, but honestly the app is overall not worth it. These sort of apps suppose ease up your customer communication but for us it didnt! Clanky set up, really bad overview in inbox and per each customer. Slow and laggy. Needs some serious improvement, customer support only through email and really slow. I would rather pay more and have a proper helpdesk function then this. Sorry gave it try but there are better options out there that actually help and make your life easier.

The FAQ page is easier to setup and user friendly, I want to give 5 stars for this feature. However, if you wish for Live Chat feature you need to take premium package, and Live Chat helpdesk app is not stable on my page. Sometimes i can't even login for one day. I hope the live chat feature can give notification directly to our mobile device as we are not always in front of our desktop and have to open the app everytime. So I'm deleting the live chat feature but still maintaining the FAQ page now.

After trying and ditching a couple of other FAQs and page creation apps, I landed on this one (on advice from a friend). What I like: - Easy to set up - It takes on my store theme automatically so I don't have to mess with fonts and settings (yes!!!) - Ability to create sections and categories (but this is a paid feature) - Ability to format extensively within the answers (trying to add bulleted lists into the other page creation apps was a headache - needed tech support) What I struggled slightly with: - Layout options not quite as visually stunning as, say, LayoutHub, but functionality and ease of use is well worth the trade-off - Anchoring of answer text seemed off - when I expanded accordion answers, the text flew up too high and hid under my web header. But HelpCenter tech support went into my site and fixed this within 24 hrs. - Not sure what I think of the help-center URL. I wanted to use a FAQs URL. It seems I'm paying to advertise the HelpCenter app instead of leading people to my FAQs page

However one observation: I am now trying this app because I was given a trial period, which I could have never have had if I hadn't complained about not getting the suppossed free plan that in fact doesn't exist, but yes it is offered! See, everybody wants his site to look the best, thus for a newbie a free plan or a free trial period which allows at least to build the site is awesome, and on the other hand offering a non achievable free plan, what's happening right now, provokes the client's dissapointment and makes you people look awful; I removed the app after seing that, then I got in touch, finally I was given a trial period. Someone forgot to activate the free plan? A configuring error? The result is the same... As I want mi site to look very nice of course I'll be your client. A recommendation. A well explained, well detailed step by step building tutorial with clear examples would be highly appreciated by newbies (like me). I'm a newbie for the website building stuff however a 45 years experienced merchant, therefore about this subject, by logic I tend to buy internet products I need but those that have tutorials, so you can take my word on this, good building tutorials would make you sell much more. I have finally added my new FAQ page to my website. It's pretty easy to set up and I like that the page can be customized. The only issue I had was the text input. Using the cleanup format still didn't solve the issue and I noticed 2 fonts in my answers which took a lot of time tidying up. Adding links to text doesn't automatically underline them, change color or make them bold so when previewing the answer you need to be aware of this. It would be a useful automatic feature to install. Another feature to add would be video within the answer. Apart from that so far so good!
