FAST SIMON is very easy to use, but really powerful solution for merchants to improve Search System. It covers not only product search but do help boost CRM and SEO too. The help center is very professional. I recommend it.

Have utilized this app for two years now. Staff is friendly and quick to assist. Very nice app, however the metric used for billing is number of monthly users visiting your website. For smaller stores this should never become an issue, however as you grow - especially if you have a large number of pages or products in your store, the Google bots will utilize many of the visits. Out store has an average of nearly 10,000 bot visits per month due to our extremely large catalog, to which we keep adding products. This worked fine for us until we hit the top 10,000 visits/month at the $99 level, however as we have grown we now see an average of 25-30,000 visits per month. The next level package they offer increases from $99/month to $249/month - a 150% increase. After much research we found all of the other collection filter apps charge is based on the number of products in your store. We needed to switch to one of these apps, which work just as well.

Collections pages give slower scores on google speed insights compared to standard shopify collection pages. Fast Simon team says nothing they will do but just asks us to fix issues on our side. The response by Fast Simon team isn't accurate, the sales increase isn't 60%, it's around 30%. Luckily Shopify now has very similar features in the collections and search they offer plus it's free, i'll slowly move to it.

Really loved this app to begin with, but recently became disappointed in a few things that led me to cancel. Firstly, the sudden price increase - from $140/yr to $400/year?! - for the same level of features. Once it expired, the regular search functionality was disabled/broken on my website. I lost a lot of business over the weekend because no one could search my products. Their customer support responses were unfriendly/rude, unhelpful, and did not make me want to support this company any longer. I researched and found several other Shopify instant search apps for far less cost and/or free that do the exact same thing and even offer more features. Don't waste your money with this Search app.

I did not fully explore the app but find the demand for customer geo-location data on sign up, unacceptable. There is no reason for this app to have that information, why do they need to know a 10 digit grid for my customers - I don't need to know it so why do they make this a condition of using their app?

One of the greatest values of instant search is their customer service. Extremely fast response times and if they can't resolve over email they will schedule a 30 minute session with you asap. We used this app for a year at the rate of $49.99/mo without any issues. But at the end of the year, they inform us that they now base their plans on monthly Sessions (not the number of search queries) and that we're now forced into a plan that is $129/mo. That is an unreasonable upsell considering we spend on marketing to increase our traffic (sessions) but that does not necessarily translate into increased use of this search bar app. Why? Because we target our advertising at specific products and pages. In-store Searches are primarily driven by Organic Traffic. So why should we pay more for a search bar because we advertise more? Especially when that does not impact searches by organic users? If we have 72,000 sessions but only 2,000 searches... why are we paying for sessions? These things are unrelated and it's a sneaky way of linking their fees to our marketing spend. Big NOPE. If you want to be penalized for spending more on marketing and increasing your sessions, then this might be the search bar for you! But there are plenty of other highly functional search bar apps that charge based on actual use of the search bar - based on searches. When asked for an explanation about this via their support channel the responses were timely but terse and uninformative. For $129/mo you at least expect very friendly customer support. After the initial 1-star review we posted they reached out to complain about details of the review but not to offer any sort of remedy to the core issue. Seems they are more concerned with review stars than with customer satisfaction.

Instant Search+ appears to be a great app. It checks all the boxes for what I need for customers to find the items that they are looking for on my website. However, I do find the initial installation support extremely lacking. I have spent many hours trying to configure the app without much success. I have reached out to support several times, and get directed back to the same product documentation that I am following for set up. I even inquired about getting some additional support (for a fee), and was told that wasn't included in my package. Bottom line appears to be that if you aren't prepared to go in on the more expensive plans, the support is not available to help you optimize the an entry or mid level of the app. Very disappointing...definitely not what I was told by the sales rep that sold me on the program.

I recently completely changed my theme and inquired with Instant Search to update the code. That same day they were done. Thankfully it was an easy fix for them. I've enjoyed the facet search capabilities that IS has to offer. I've also been able to tailor and customize the search to look more like my website. Ton of features and endless variants can be added with tags. I also enjoy the analytics which helps me to refine and adjust words to make the searching easier for customers. Redirect option when certain search words are entered is a wonderful feature as well. As mentioned there are a ton of options and features too many to list.

InstantSearch+ is a great replacement for Shopifys native search. It adds a great deal of functionality to on-site search and can help visitors navigate your product offering. For premium brands like Kidrobot that work with hundreds of different artists and entertainment licenses on a plethora of product types, it can be a challenge to organize a navigation menu to help customers find what they are looking for. We rely on having a robust on-site search to help visitors navigate the site. The support team is responsive and helps when you experience problems. The only thing that has been discouraging for us is that you have to upgrade to the highest plan to get many of the features most websites will need. One example is that the search does not automatically sync to product updates regularly unless you are on the top plan. This means any time you make an update to a product or publish a product you have to go into the app and manually sync it.

We use Instant Search + on several shopify websites. One in particular we use langify and offer the site in both French and English. We were happy to see IS+ integrated with this. Unfortunately, I noticed right away that while we could search for products in French, it did NOT show collections in the search. I contacted the support team fully expecting to get a typical "This feature is not currently supported, I'll pass it along to our development team and hopefully this will be added in the future!" I was wrong. I spoke to a fellow by the name of Ed. Ed went above and beyond to provide me with a CUSTOM solution for our problem. He reached out and spoke with langify himself and devised a method using meta fields to fix our problem and get collections appearing via search in French. This is goes far beyond customer service. It's extremely encouraging to know a company you make such an investment with has your back when you need help.

Decided to try it with the free trial, our site went over the free trial searches and we decided not to move to the paid plan for analytics times not being long enough and search limits too low for the price. After uninstalling I could not resume back to our normal Shopify search. Sent out a couple emails to help me "uninstall" and they said we have to "reinstall" the app to uninstall the app. Since we used up the free trial the only way to reinstall is to pay $150 monthly fee for the app. It's caused a tremendous amount of loss on our site. Sadly very disappointed how corruptive it has been. A free trial app should NEVER put a Shopify customer in this circumstance.

WOW! What an absolutely horrific 24 hours that was. First, the app immediately starts engaging on the site and you can't disable it. Great, right? Not if it causes 404 errors all over the site and current apps to fail. Then, you rush to uninstall it after it wrecks through your site like a bulldozer, and the after effects remain! 404 errors for search results, broken apps throughout the site. The only way to get it to start working.... to reinstall the app and waste 2 hours of your life on the phone with support. I've tried hundreds, literally hundreds, of apps on Shopify and never has one been worse than this.

When Instant Search + is uninstalled, it leaves code which breaks the search function on a website. Namely, it redirects site searches to a non-existent /pages/search-results?q=, required for Instant Search +, but rendering a 404 Page once uninstalled. We set up this search on our Shopify store in less than an hour on a Thursday night. Based on our business needs, we wanted the benefits of the Premium search but the layout of the Basic search, retaining our left side nav. The tech support person Ed, responded to my questions very quickly (and on a Saturday) and easily had 10 email exchanges with me, helping fine tune the search to exactly what we wanted. Mind you, this is 2 days into a trial and we aren't even a customer yet! I have been floored by the great service thus far and plan to use the instant search service. Highly recommend trying this if you're considering an improved site search. 2018 Update - Had a minor incompatibility with a line of code in our theme. Instant Search works right out of the box. It's very easy to install and gives excellent results as you type. I like that you can also add some specific keywords to show specific products. What I like less is their interface. It's ugly and I wish they would use Shopify's framework to make a more user friendly layout. It really doesn't want to go in and customize all of your options. Another bummer is that the lower plan only allows you to see the last 30 days of stats. Knowing what keywords were the most searched in the last year or last 6 months would be great... but I'm not going to pay an extra 60$+ per month for that option. Overall, it does what it says and it does it well. My visitors use it more than I though.

Very buggy app. Very poor theme integration. Doesn't adapt to mobile site version at all. Requires an insane amount of customization and tweaking to integrate. Doesn't draw from current theme style sheets. Nickle-and-dimes you for every feature. One star is honestly generous for this product. Why would anybody use this? In place of their monthly fees I would strongly recommend a written apology to their customers for wasting their time.

I enjoyed this addon until I realized I wasn't receiving what I needed from it at the $20 a month price point. Support said I didn't really matter to them because we are a new shop with low traffic so they would discount their plan for what we needed to $30 a month. After being told "You won't really make us any money." I switched to Smart Search & Instant Search. That costs me $18 a month and does everything I need that Instant Search + wants $90 a month for! Their addon works alright if you don't mind tossing money into a black hole and having support tell you that you aren't important. Also if you sign up for a year subscription and try to cancel they try to make it sound like you shouldn't get a refund because of some hotel analogy. Just avoid this company!

Had used InstantSearch+ with our old Magento 1 site as the native site search was terrible. InstantSearch changed all of that quickly. Your sync function is really bad and time consuming. When we were on the free trail it worked perfectly, on the 50$ per months it did not work and now we are on 89$ a month and it is NOT syncing automatically as it did on the free trail. I must say that I am looking for an alternative product. Also if you do a search for two words, it does not list the items with both words first. A search should prioritise items that have both search words. SO again I am not impressed. And I think that you are very expensive. But if the program worked like it did on the free trail i would stay with you. But it does not.

If your website has a lot of products, this app is a must-have. We looked at a couple of other search apps and Instant Search were the only ones that could provide exactly what we wanted. What I also like is that they continuously add new features and improve things. I totally recommend these guys. ***NEW UPDATE 6/March*** Again, Ed has pulled out all the stops! I tried this app day 1 and I fell in love with what it does for search drop down on the search box at the top of our website. Plus on mobile it also looked and worked perfectly. Then I ran into the challenge of the search filter which was not very mobile friendly. I found a few websites that did have this search filter process worked out but still had challenges. So, I wrote up an outline of how the refine process could reduce confusion of when you selected an attribute like size for the filter menu to collapse and the page to refresh...once it did you would see the products remaining after filtering. Before when I first used the app it would refresh and still show the filter...requiring you to go back and find the Refine button to close the left menu. I sent my ideas to support and within a day they changed the entire app to now auto refresh...yes you heard correctly; they fixed the bug not just on my version but every users. Your welcome! Had a nightmare of a time transferring our Instant Search + data over to a new Shopify store. Instant Search + works pretty well once you have it setup, but migrating data to a new store was sure a headache.
