Really happy with this review app so far. The setup was straightforward, and the review request flow makes it much easier to collect feedback from customers. I especially like the mobile-friendly experience because customers can leave reviews quickly without jumping through too many steps. The review widgets also look clean on our storefront and don’t feel out of place with the design. Overall, it’s simple to manage, looks professional, and has helped us make better use of customer reviews as social proof.

it was ok. i am still considering it. -- Updated on 12-23-25: I initially gave Junip 4 stars and noted that I was still testing the platform. After spending more time with it, my experience has unfortunately declined. Junip sent out over 50 review request emails with little to no response, which was disappointing given the promised engagement. More concerning, the Junip website frequently causes my computer and browser to freeze when I open the dashboard, making it difficult to use consistently as part of my workflow. Additionally, the sales rep, Marcus, reached out to me multiple times asking me to update my review. That pressure felt uncomfortable, especially since the underlying issues had not been resolved. To add to that frustration, he later placed an order with my shop but did not leave a review himself, which felt misaligned with the repeated requests for me to update mine. At this point, the performance issues and overall experience do not justify my original rating of 4/5 stars and has been updated to 2/5 stars.

Junip has been a godsend! We got off a competitor's offering, in favor of Junip for 1/4th the cost. There are so many more features, the UI is a lot cleaner, it's super affordable, and the automations are top-notch! We have noticed a HUGE uptick in the volume of reviews we are receiving, and keeping everything under the 3rd party Junip platform has helped generate a lot of trust with current and potential customers on our site. Well maybe I do not know what I am doing but I hardly ever get a review. Maybe because I am using the free version. I will try to figure this out before I bail for another app. I can't find any statistical information. Maybe they do not offer that. *Edit* Junip listens when you have concerns. This was changed, and now customers don't need to confirm that they want to leave their reviews. We now have the option to change that in our admin settings. I would recommend, but I do not like that a customer has a 2 step process to leave a review. I do not believe they should have to go back to their email to confirm that they want to leave a review - otherwise, the review will not display on your website. Problems exist like them not being notified by their email provider, not wanting to think about it after submitting, or simply not receiving the email fast enough (most likely due to strength of internet). It limits the amount of reviews that you can have. If it's to possibly weed out illegitimate reviews, I'm sure there's another fix for that.

Malvina was amazing! She hopped in to help long before I had time to get frustrated with a help bot. She asked very good questions (didn't make me repeat everything I'd already gone through with the bot) and quickly determined what I was doing wrong - yes, it was all me! ;0) She straightened me out in short order. Excellent tech help, and the app is great!! Highly recommend! I had a hiccup a few days later, but Leah jumped in before I could become frustrated with the help bot. She correctly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Thank y'all!

The app does a lot of nice tasks like gathering reviews and helping you show them on your site but there is confusion because not all of the reviews are showing on google and the support is not very nice or helpful. I asked why some of the reviews are missing and never heard back. And the links to check your products are wrong in the admin. That would be ok except I have to pay $70 per month which is very expensive.

Honestly - most review apps on Shopify all do the same thing with minor differences here or there. For the cost, it's really hard to beat Junip. They offer more than most at their price point and most importantly - their customer service is super responsive and willing to do what's needed to solve the problem at hand.
