We viewed a lot of collection merchandising tools and we decided to go with Kimonix due to the plug and play element, which worked super well for us rather than weeks/months of development we were were able to download the app and have it live in minutes. Also the support from Miriam has been amazing, she is always happy to offer support whether that is jumping on a call or a speedy email response.

Also your website looks fresh every day :-) They use a very smart sorting algorithm in such a way your site speed is absolutely not affected. I used this app for quite a long time (more than year), and it turned out to be pretty useless. The interface is overloaded, and collections can only be created automatically. You can’t drag and drop products or organize them the way you want.

It goes far beyond basic sorting - especially for larger stores, where untapped potential often hides in underexposed products. At this point, our entire site uses Kimonix collections - there's no reason to do manually anymore. It automatically sorts every single collection by Revenue-per-Session, which is incredible (and allows us to push down out of stock products, and elevate new arrivals). Stunning and simple - I'm not a 'dev' and figured out how to get it live quickly (well, to be fair, their team was VERY hands on with no issue jumping on calls to teach me). Wonderful product if you have more than 8 styles, use it.

We started using the Kimonix app in April 2024. Their support team has been very helpful with app setup. We have had various onboarding sessions, our full team attended at first to make sure everyone's preferences for sorting were addressed and to create our first template. After implementing the template on 30 collections, our one on one sessions with our account manager have helped tremendously—by answering questions that came up and with continuous education on more advanced features. We were looking to have more control over how our products were sorted within collections but without having to manually sort each collection on a regular basis. Kimonix makes it simple to create sort criteria that pushes products higher or lower on the page based on a number of factors, such as inventory, past sales, Google Analytics conversion rate, whether a product is new, whether it has certain tags, and much, much more. It's extremely flexible and usable. It's a bit pricey, but it's cheaper than paying someone to manage the sorts manually & it creates much more useful sorts for our collections pages than Shopify's built in sorting options do.

UPDATE: Increasing to 4 stars as the devs reached out to answer questions. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I think the app has potential and is useful. However, I knocked three stars off for the following reasons. The first one is the price. The Basic plan, which only lets you sort five collections, and pretty much that's it, is $44 a month for us. Sortimize (another app to sort collections similarly) is $19 and does not limit the number of collections you can sort. Charging based on order number is no good. I could be selling $5 items and have tons of orders, and this app would be extremely expensive to use. This does not mean my revenue is through the roof, and I would be comfortable with the app price. It just means I have many orders. Second, I found the help center basic and lacking. I want to understand what personalized emails are. What's an AI collection, the value, and how is it set up, etc.? Couldn't find it. Third, you need to be on the starter plan (the second you can choose from the bottom) to have some good features (the Basic is quite basic). Fourth, if you optimize your website for SEO and use canonical URLs, the app won't be able to track analytics. This is probably the biggest con for me. I communicated with the devs, and they told me this is how it is. So if you follow Google's best practices and consolidate duplicate URLs, you need to be aware you won't be able to track analytics of your collections (https://developers.google.com/search/docs/crawling-indexing/consolidate-duplicate-urls#why-it-matters). All in all, I think it is a great app. Still, the high price compared to competitors, the lack of documentation (they could also add some strategies to test), and the analytics limitation could be better. I hope they can add more features to the lower-tier plans and re-work the price to make it more accessible to small merchants.

As lifestyle fashion brand we were looking for a solution that would help us automate merchandising, while still giving us some control over the image and branding of our collections. I have tested several different apps that claim to sort collections in an advanced way - but there is just no comparison to Kimonix at all. It is super advanced, but in a very user friendly way. Several pre made templates for complex and professional product sorting, and helpful insights on your product performance. A truly exceptional app, I am very happy to have found. 1. Installation Unlike too many other Shopify apps, installing it will not do anything to your store right away. You have full control right from the start. 2. Features The core functionality is sorting your collections. Not in the frontend through javascript or some other fancy implementation, it actually sorts your existing collections in Shopify for you. And for collections you want to sort yourself, you can just set it to move sold out products to the bottom. Or to move new products up. 2.a Bonus features: Insight Insight. It gives you super relevant, actionable data about your products. Products that are selling slowly for example, is in one view. You can then apply a discount to them in bulk. There's also one for popular products with much in stock, and one for products with low stock, including individual stock alerts by email. Not only that, you get a link to the product directly in Shopify, and very useful product data that is hard to find elsewhere. CTR from list view, days to sold out, sales per day, margin % and so on. There's also a revenue breakdown showing your aquisition channels broken down by revenue per week. 3. Pricing / Value Currently, a steal in my opinion. You get massive value for very little. 4. Support I just got off a 1 hour call with them, on a Sunday, where they helped me out and fixed things for me. These are friendly, serious, hard-working people that will treat you well. They are also quick to help by the built-in chat, or email. Enterprise grade support, for cheap. 10/10. Conclusion A fantastic app that provides a lot of value for a low price, with great support. I have only used it for a few days, but I know this will be one of my favorites for a long time. I'm very grateful to have found it, and I'm looking forward to see what will come :) - Preben

I have been looking for such an app for a long time. The fact that you can use multiple metrics to sort a collection or build an automated one is amazing and exactly what I needed. What an amazing app. This app completes all the missing functions in Shopify's Collections section. It is very fast, you can have a collection with thousands of tags (I tried 12,000 tags) and it works amazingly fast. Doesn't lag at all. The developer is very responsive and understands customers needs. I needed a feature and it was included in the app within 5 minutes.
