It didn't work on my product page and removed my accordions when app was active. Support was non communicative after asking for developer collaboration and after that waited a few days and never heard back even after trying to contact them a few times after that.

May, 2025: I had a bad bug with this app after updating my theme version. Magic Zoom took responsibility and worked with me on the theme consistently. Their level of support is very significant to the relation of their app. Communication was quick, fixes were quick, and their effort was at its best. So I recommend this app not only for its functionality, but also the support that integrates with its functionality. With a more complicated custom set up like mine, I wouldn't want to go anywhere else to get the same effects as the Magic Zoom app provides. You can see below that I've had this app since 2018. So that is 7 years. They have always answered my occasional call (1-3 times a year max). Very happy with their unbiased, unconditional, and dedicated help. 2018: Great app, great initial support. This company set up my optimizations perfectly after a little back and forth with instruction via e-mail. I love the ease of zoom and magnify on this app and it works on any kind of image with the right setup from support. That alone gives it 5 stars.

LAST EDIT: After receiving a new message from the support, I realized that the mistake was mine. I had ticked the retina image switches for the zoom and the gallery which had caused my images to display too small. All fixed now and the app is back on our Website. Many thanks to Paula for her help! I decide"d to keep the entire review as it is as it may help other people who may face the same issue ;) This app is great! EDIT: I’m disabling the app today while concerns #2 and #3 are being addressed. However, the way my images are displayed on click is the real deal breaker. When the gallery opens, the images appear even smaller than in the initial view. Unfortunately, this is completely counterproductive and pushes visitors to close the gallery. I still don’t understand why the app can’t display images the way Shopify does natively. While Shopify’s approach sometimes enlarges images too much (depending on the original size), at least visitors get a proper zoom when they click. It’s a shame because otherwise, this app is very well done and probably ideal for businesses that can share full-resolution images without concerns about counterfeiting. INITIAL REVIEW: I have been using this app for a couple of years now and I'm globally very satisfied! It does what it says and doesn't slow down our Website. To top it off, it's super fairly priced with a one-time payment! Only missing features to make it perfect are: - the ability to zoom expand beyond the actual size of the image (like a digital zoom effect). Because if your images are not big enough, the expanded view makes no difference with the initial size. - a feature to force all images to display at the same size in the gallery view - a feature to display the image captions in the gallery (not when zoomed or expanded)

I installed this app on Corano theme. It seemed to work well. But after a crawl from Ahrefs I lost 22 top ten pages and 30 positions. Over 500 of my photographs showed sizing errors. This may have been a conflict with another app that I had installed- VF image resizer. With any explanation, it was a huge mistake and set me back months in SEO.

Brilliant! I installed it with the click of a button and it worked immediately. It has improved the look of the product pages astronomically. Easy settings if you want to refine the look. It also fixed a previous product image issue where when clicking on it loaded the image into the parent browser tab. It looks much better than it did before. Had a little teething issue to begin with and support was very quick to respond and resolved it very promptly. Highly recommended. 5 Stars !!

Just installed this app to Minimal theme in Shopify. Install process was very clear along with what to expect during each step. My products immediately have the very nice zoom-in magnifier so the details of the images are available without having to have all the extra close up photos. I also love the thumbnail carousel options. The one time purchase price is a great deal and refreshing compared to all the subscription based apps that I stay away from for the most part. If the details in your product is a selling aspect this app is 100% worth it.

App works very poorly on mobile. We reached out to the app support for assistance. They said it was working correctly. It still doesn't work on mobile, it makes the product page seem broken. I followed up with support and didn't hear back. These matters are quite urgent as a broken website lis an uwful user experience. We lost sales while this was installed. Had to remove the app. Very unfortunate experience.

Update: A lot of overlaying on mobile and looks really bad for customers shopping when title is covered with image. Had to remove the app from my store so customers could shop mobile. I want to use this app to do a function of enlarged pictures, But after I gave it partner rights, it changed the code of our store template, and on the new magnifying glass, it is also the product picture to join their own App Product Name and Advertising Jump Link. And after I delete this application, the code has not disappeared, and their advertisements are still hanging on the website product picture. I can only recreate a new template and decorate.

This is by far, the BEST app available for zooming in on images. Works perfectly and truly shows the images in high detail. This app allows you to see exactly how it is going to work on your site before you buy. A very small watermark is placed over the images in the trial mode and the purchase removes the watermark. This worked perfectly for us because we were able to see how it really performed. Plenty of options to choose from. I love, love, love how this app has a one-time only charge. (We try to avoid apps with reoccurring monthly fees) This app really took our store to the next level!! We would give this app 10 stars if possible :)

The 360 degree view looks great on our site. It took a little help to get the connection to Sirv.com to sync up due to my misunderstanding of how it worked, but the support was great! Quickly installed and we were off. Nice feature and easy to set up after installation. We like it a lot and hope it helps with sales ***Update***Since we installed the app, we've added two customizable templates for products. We noticed that the zoom feature wasn't working with the new templates. We knew the coding needed to be added to the 2 new templates. I sent an email inquiry with my issue yesterday, they asked to be added to the staff account, and within 24 hours they took care of my issue. The 2 new templates are using the zoom feature perfectly. It's nice to know that with the initial fee, there is technical support for the future and that Magic Toolbox is striving to make the feature useable for everyone. Thank you!

Love this app and customer service. We paid a Shopify expert (eCommerce Guru) $175 to code images and never got it working right. Magic zoom Plus has some great features right out of the box and Igor helped us to alter the app for our coding of multiple images per variant. Very pleased with the speed of loading images with this app. SIRV 360 images are a great plus, too. Just be aware of the data limits. They will deactivate your 360 images if data transfers exceed your plan.

Absolutely the best. By far the most professional app on Shopify app store. I wish I could give this app ten stars. 1. Support - Igor and the support team are world class. They installed the app for me and its works perfectly. My online store needed fine tuning - See personal story below - Magic Zoom Plus support team took care of it, they fixed the problem for me in 5 minutes. 2. Boost Sales - 80% of online shopping is done on mobile (phone and tablet). If customers can't see clearly on their small screens, no matter what your products and prices are, they'll abounded carts. The worst thing that can happen to your online store, is losing sales because images are too small. 3. Website upgrade - once you install Magic Zoom Plus, your online store looks like a million dollars. Now you can charge higher prices and you are leveling the playing field with Amazon (zoom, thumbnail, video, 360 spin). 4. Save money - instead of working with a few Shopify experts (between $50 to $70 a pop) and/or paying monthly fee for an app (between $5 and $8 a month), with Magic Zoom Plus you get all the features at a one time very low price. Trust me, I've been burned before, see personal story below. 5. You got nothing to lose - I hate paying for apps, but I saw the free trial offer so I decided to give it a shot. I tried Magic Zoom Plus for the weekend, and I bought it first thing Monday morning. So many compliments from my regular customers I couldn't resist. 6) Personal story - sad but true - I posted a job on Shopify market place for a visual effect feature (zoom on product). I paid $50 and the magnification glass was terrible, the image kept jumping all over the place once you hoover the mouse on the product and it magnified too big so you can't see clearly, on top of everything it didn't work on mobile. I added $30 to upgrade it and then the Shopify expert I hired (a 5 stars rating big company from India) informed me that it works only on desktop (good luck getting refund, by the way). I was so frustrated, I called Shopify and they suggested this app. Thank god I discovered Magic Zoom Plus. I wish I knew about this app two month earlier. Highly recommended, worth every penny.

Really good customer support. AMAZING APP! Although this app did not install with just one click (I have a theme I purchased an installed which may have caused this) I did have a support representative set this app up for me very quickly and it is now working perfectly! There is so many customizations for this app you will get the results your are looking for guaranteed. For example, my team wanted the image to only zoom upon clicking and to zoom only in a full screen setting with a black transparent back ground. AND I RECEIVED EXACTLY THAT! Highly recommend this app and the creators. I first installed the full version on another shop, and it worked perfectly so I tried to install it on this shop, but it wasn't compatible with our theme. The developers were able to quickly install it manually, and get everything working. They even worked together with the creators of another app we are using that was causing conflict with this one, and they went the extra mile to have both apps working perfectly. Very satisfied. I think this is a must-have app for any shop. The ability to add videos to the gallery is also a plus. But another great thing is the ONE TIME payment. The price is tiny compared to what you are getting. I downloaded this app. It is designed beautifully and works incredibly well. But I wanted to delete it because I wasn't ready to pay for it. I restored before removing the app as they said I should and my product page was still broken. I contacted them and Igor responded to me within a minute. I think the biggest surprise with Magic Zoom Plus was how much they care about their customers, which is unusual with app companies on shopify. Their software was working great but I reached out to the team to help adjust it to my theme, I was amazed at how much they tried to help me. At one point, I was like 'wait are you the owner of my website or..' because to be quite honest I felt like they cared about my business more than I cared about my business. With shopify, you need partners that you can rely on, partners that are with you on board. Magic Zoom Plus is a big, big game changer because of this.

I tried the app to see how it fixes the problem with zooming product images. When i unistalled it, product images are no longer visible. Instead, there is some sort of code saying something like "missing snippets..". Not good. So it means I should keep using the app or my products otherwise won't be seen at all? Installation of the feature is pretty painless. Unless it currently does not support your theme. In my case, my theme was built in-house. I sent an email to support and less than 24hours later it was working. Igor, one of the co-founders helped me with all my styling needs and functions. I don't think I can recommend this enough if you are looking for a zoom feature on your website. Smart app. Even smarter and talented team. Get it!

This is fantastic app. I was looking at developing product zoom and enlargement using lightbox technology, but would be costly and time consuming. Then I found Magic Zoom which does a much better job. I use a right side hover-zoom with HD images, and click to enlarge pop-up screen - simply put it gives my customers a fantastic experience. One thing that Shopify doesn't tell you when you choose a theme is that there is no automatic zoom in function already installed. Now you would think this comes standard with any website but apparently not! I installed this app months ago and is working well. Has definitely made an impact on usability on the site, every website must have a zoom in function so that potential customers can view the product well before buying. I mean we all do it when browsing other sites! This particular one was what I needed because, not only is there a magnifying option but also a zoom in window which I could't find with the other apps. It's also a once off fee, so no monthly bills to pay. One thing I have to mention is that they should make it more explicit that with the free option you will see the watermark/logo. And this logo was live until I paid for it within 5 minutes of installing. You can check out the real thing in action on my website.

Really disappointed by this app, first of all it never works, but i could understand that. But if you go for trial, the app will spam your product page with an advertisement link to the webpage of the company, this spam doesn't go away when you delete the app. You have to delete it from your theme. Just a waste of time.

Most flexible product image tool on Shopify! You get to download the app and test it out for yourself on mobile and desktop. There is a logo on the top of the image until you purchase the product. When compared to other offerings this is by far the best and most flexible. Very easy to customize the settings to my liking. My only recommendation to Magic Zoom is to add a feature that would allow mobile users to "pinch zoom" on the photo.

He installed the app for us and customized it as well. He was quick to respond, followed-up with each email, and was very thorough. Much better customer service than the first rep. Very pleased with the app now. Jan 8, 2016 Unfortunately, not the best experience for us. We've never left a negative rating before, however, we paid for the upgrade and have had nothing but problems. Tried contacting the support team, received an automatic reply email stating the response time was "52 hours" - not the greatest customer service.
