My Wishlist makes it easy for customers to save items for later, and i’ve seen people come back to buy from their list. share buttons work nice too. sometimes the mobile view looked crowded and i had to tweak the layout, but overall it improved my conversion a bit.

REPEATED BUGS, POOR IMPLEMENTATION, AND CRITICAL TRACKING FAILURE — DISAPPOINTING Update (June 2025): This review replaces our original 5-star rating from December. We are now downgrading our rating due to a series of unresolved issues, misleading support communication, and the discovery of serious flaws that impacted both performance and analytics integrity. We’ve used Hulk Wishlist for over 6 months on a Shopify store and encountered a disturbing mix of bugs, bloated scripts, and tracking interference — all of which remained undiagnosed or ignored by support for months. ⸻ New and critical discovery: Hidden script injections caused tracking breakdowns Contrary to what Hulk’s support claimed, the app does inject both the Meta Pixel and Google Analytics tags if you enter them in the app’s settings. After weeks of unexplained duplicates in our analytics and debugging every part of our Tag Manager setup, we finally traced the issue back to Hulk’s hidden tracking injection — which was overriding our TagFly/GTM setup and breaking proper consent management. Once we removed the IDs from the Hulk settings, all duplicate events disappeared instantly, and: • Our mobile and desktop Lighthouse scores jumped by over 10 points • Our page load times improved • Our event tracking returned to normal • We realized we had uninstalled multiple unrelated apps in the process — wrongly suspected due to Hulk’s silent interference This is not only unacceptable from a technical standpoint — it’s a massive waste of time, and it undermines trust in the app. Either support was not informed, or they deliberately avoided acknowledging the root cause. In both cases, it’s not serious. ⸻ Summary of persistent problems: • Wishlist hearts appear above full-screen menus — bad z-index management, still not fixed. • No wishlist counter displayed on product thumbnails anymore, although it used to be there. • No admin control over when and where the script loads. • Core functionality like wishlist buttons randomly fail to load. • The script loads on every page, even irrelevant ones like cart/policy pages, increasing bloat. • add_to_wishlist tracking is unreliable or blocked entirely when JS errors occur. • Layout shifts (CLS) caused by the app still penalize SEO and UX. ⸻ Support: Quick to reply, unhelpful in substance Hulk’s team replies quickly, but the answers are often off-topic or non-technical. It took days to escalate the malformed document.write() bug, and the latest tracking issue (which should have been documented and warned about) went completely undetected for months. ⸻ Timeline of failures (Nov 2024 – Jun 2025): • Nov 2024 – Wishlist script bloats all pages unnecessarily. → Custom metafield workaround added by us. Still not fixed • Dec–Jan – Wishlist button fails to load on some product pages. → Unstable and unresolved • Jan – GTM tracking starts failing. → Root cause (Hulk script) undiagnosed until June • Mar – Wishlist counters on product images disappear. → Still missing • Apr – Inconsistent triggering of add_to_wishlist events. → Still unreliable • June – Critical JS error discovered (document.write() with invalid HTML) → Breaks all downstream scripts (GTM, Meta, Pinterest, analytics). → Still not fixed 7+ days after report • Ongoing – Wishlist icons appear above navigation menus. → Still broken ⸻ Final word: We expected far more reliability, transparency, and control from an app claiming Shopify Plus compatibility. This situation has damaged our ad attribution, slowed down our site, and wasted dozens of hours chasing bugs the app introduced. Unless we see immediate fixes and proper communication from Hulk, we will be uninstalling the app. Do not use this app if you rely on accurate analytics, clean code, or performance.

I trusted someone from Hulk Advanced Wishlist to install the app on my website (after they offered). I thought it would be a simple process, as it's just someone installing the app, how hard can it be? It took them just 5 minutes to wreck my cart and login button trying to place their icon on my website. Not only did it look awful (icons all over the place), they also somehow managed to change the size of my cart icon so it's now pixelated. No big issue, I thought, I'd just ask them to remove the code and put it back. We're now a month along trying to have that happen and Hulk Advanced Wishlist has done nothing to rectify the situation. I've had to send multiple emails and even speak to Shopify, and still nothing. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY to install their own app on your website. I can't believe I am typing this. But there we go. I'll update this when the saga is finally over.

The app is fine so far. I just have the cheapest tier so I also have the fewest features. It does the basics which is what I'm paying for so no complaints about the actual app. It is a bummer how limited I am with automations and Shopify Flow integrations though. It looks like you have to upgrade to get access to those. My Shopify theme has a lot of customizations so I basically couldn't set anything up myself, which honestly I expected and is neither here nor there. Why I only gave it 4 stars is because while everyone I spoke to was friendly and helpful while we were speaking, it took quite a bit to actually get a response and then get the work done that I requested. Customer service chat was great, and the only way I was able to get anything done. It's just there were a lot of unanswered emails and waiting for responses before I finally decided to turn to chat is all, which was a little frustrating.

Get it, what are you waiting for? This app does exactly what I needed and does it extremely well. I have a Springsteen collector store and needed an easy way for customers to wishlist items then easily return to the store and move them to their cart. I needed to match my store color branding, and reasonably priced. I could not be happier with this app and the support provided on DAY 1. I am a novice with technology and did not want anything to do with coding and it wasn't necessary. I highly recommend this wishlist app as I had used others and uninstalled them. There are no surprises and their support is 5-star.

Great app - you have different options of implementation. Automated or manually add wishlist button like we did as we used a custom theme. The Wishlist functionality is great and our customers seem to enjoy using this app. Customers are easily able to add items to wishlist and retrieve them at a later date to add back to their carts. Customer support is great - app recently had an issue but support team were excellent with support responses and getting it back and working again. Would recommend.

Spent a couple weeks trying to import our existing wishlists. Support seemed responsive but "waiting to hear from the dev" shouldn't take this long and I'm done waiting. App might work otherwise but no idea. I'm sure your mileage will vary but if you need to import wishlists you might look at a different app. Updated review to 4 Stars (original 2): It's clear to me HulkApps cares about their service and are keen to follow up. They have been very thorough in identifying where they messed up, apologized, and offered to fix the situation. I appreciate this and wanted to update my review. I think my experience was a fluke (which can happen to the best of us). I hope we can try them again in the future.

EDIT 27/03-23 The responded quickly and removed leftover code. Though I still think it should be done automaticly, when removing app. But happy with quick response and removel and kind support staff Tried it and removed it again. After removal my store has insane lots of errors because of there leftover code. I have made an ticket on there site. I do think its VERY problematic that it does leave code after uninstallment that ruin/leave a lot of errors and issues to be fixed. I will see if they fix this issue

I haven't been using the app very long but CS is great! Chat is helpful for general questions and tickets take care of more complicated issues very quickly. I am also super impressed with how quickly the developers addressed and fixed WCAG issues! Letting our customers create a wishlist, or tag an item as a favorite is a way for them to help organize their choices, share their gift ideas, and be able to come back at a another time to continue to shop. This app had the best options for the cost, and customer service has always been top shelf.

The app is great. If you make any changes to your theme, though, you can lose the Add to Wishlist button, which can cause some panic. However, I reached out to the support team through the app, and within a half hour, the button was back. Great service!

I personally try to use Hulkapps for all clients across industries in shopify. They just make these little additions like wishlists and surveys so much easier. Great app and very good customer service. However, after customising the wishlist button to the Theme's style, the button will still show its default style for 1-2 seconds before changing to Theme's style, unfortunately this is not someone that can be fixed.

If your store uses Variants (which most do), do NOT bother with this app. It does NOT put the correct variant onto the wishlist. instead it puts some default that shopify picked. So the wishlist is incorrect. Creates problems for customer support. And there support is SLOWWWWWWW. It took weeks for them to reply to my question about this problem. Then when I got a reply, they said it was an issue and they would put it on the list to fix. But I doubt they will since my developer already had contacted them about the issue and to my developer they said it would not be added. Don't waste your time with this app. Sorry Hulk apps, but you really should not have released this product with this huge problem.

The team at HulkApps has gone above and beyond to help me make adjustments, embed my apps, and has made sure that I am completely satisfied, at no extra charge! The Wishlist app was awesome for allowing customers to save products for later and when I submitted a ticket asking for help changing the appearance of the wishlist button on my products, I received a speedy response saying that they had already gone into the code and made the adjustments I asked for. Nice product, not exactly what I was looking for but works well. However, 3 stars for uninstalling experience, leftover a lot of code, including links to external.JS and CSS UPDATE: Support team contacted me after and resolved the issue UPDATE: We have decided to use this app, however, all experience turns to be a disaster. - It took 3 weeks to fix some of the issues (app did not work out of the box) and some of the issues were not resolved. - Customer service has a huge room for improvement from the communication and performance point of view. - This app is not compatible with products without inventory tracking ON. (After 3 weeks of back and force communication, we were told: "all products whose inventory is not tracked will show as an Out Of Stock button to avoid accidentally adding them to the cart in the future. Please track the quantity of products in your store to eliminate this problem.")

Terrible app. It loads css in your Shopify store assets and messed up with all my styles, after removing the app the styles were still wrong so I had to go to assets in my Shopify store and remove manually the hulkapp styles, terrible!I also had to remove several renders in my theme file that were messing with my footer.
