I had a difficult time in trying to get questions answered so that I could decide if this app is for me. I got a call 24 hours later from an AI named "Mary". What a ridiculous experience! I was told that this is a "self serve" application and that I needed to read articles to answer my questions. No, I am not going to read articles to sell myself on this app. My rating is based on the lack of salesmanship and not being able to assess if this app is a good fit for my business. Omnisend, please do better than leaving your business and sales to AI.

Be aware that this app charges an additional US$30–40 for every extra 500 contacts. The costs add up quickly and become extremely expensive. I don't recommend this app. Also deleting contacts from your list won't lower the unique contact reach count for the current billing cycle.

I highly recommend it to other marketers and business owners who want to see real results! Salma was a fantastic help and sorted the issues that we had quickly. Updated July 2026: I've spent a month messing about with custom events that just don't work, going around and around in circles, with support telling me the same thing over and over again, yet it never works and the documentation/support articles are nonsense. This follows issues with the product recommender not updating product images - we pay extra each month for the product recommender feature, yet it's not been working properly, displaying old product images over a year old to customers. I had to argue for weeks to get it resolved, and have I got a refund for something I've been paying for that hasn't been working? Nope. I'm getting really annoyed with Omnisend's declining service. Things don't work, you then have to argue to get them looked at properly and it takes weeks to resolve. It's a huge waste of my time. Things are definitely not as good as they used to be. These are just two examples of things that don't work, there are more. Updated July 30th 2026. Support has become a joke. Not only did I have to argue with support over a couple of weeks because the product recommender (a feature we pay about £45 a month for) was showing old product images to people and nobody would listen to me, but I've now spent 4 weeks arguign with support that custom events, which have a 202 accepted status (which means they work), don't register on Omnisend. I keep getting sent links to help articles that are out of date, nobody will listen to me. Different people in support keep sending the same standard response and won't listen to me. I am sick to death of Omnisend and the downfall in their support levels - as other recent reviews also say. So I am changing this review and looking at Klaviyo. Omnisend support has become a joke. There is too much emphasis on releasing new features that they can charge extra for and not enough emphasis on looking at broken things or listening to the customer when the customer says something is broken. Support response times have gone from being immediate to a few hours or even the next day, and then the support is crap and they close tickets when they can't resolve something. Reading through recent reviews I'm not the only one who thinks this. Times up for Omnisend.

A few years ago I left a 5-star review. But now Omnisend, like so many other companies, has decided that customer service is getting in the way of their profits. I've been dealing with a bug in their software for weeks now. When I edit a product description in a campaign the cursor jumps around so it's like playing "whack a mole." Very frustrating. They say they understand my frustration and appreciate my patience. But since I contacted them on June 12th and it's now July 4th my patience is at an end. Very disappointed. ***** Update Apparently Omnisend is paying attention to these reviews because the day after I posted it with one star the problem was fixed.

I’m looking to switch from Shopify Email to Omnisend, but it seems that Omnisend is also working quite unusually and is not very stable. I was only setting up a new account, but then I received a notification saying that my account had been blocked. When I contacted support, the response was slow, and I was only sent a list of questions to answer, without much guidance or assistance. This should not happen on a platform that is relatively large and well-established.

Omnisend may seem simple on the surface, but it hasn’t been. They helped me migrate over from Yotpo, and I had only recently started sending SMS campaigns when my account was suspended due to a high number of unsubscribes. Honestly, that was fine with me because I needed to clean up my contact list anyway. Now, however, I’m being put through a long process just to reactivate the account. On top of that, customer support has been very slow to respond throughout the process, which has made resolving the issue even more frustrating. At this point, I’m already looking for a new provider, and I’d recommend choosing carefully when selecting an SMS and email marketing platform.

I just noticed that images on my Abandoned products list (which is generated by Omnisend) is loading in their full size 1MB (which is already compressed). Support suggested me to resize and compress my images more! Insane, this is ridiculis! Why you can't make smaller image size to reflect the image size on the email? This is so simple and so easy to implement. Now my emails tooks ages to be loaded!

Omnisend is throwing in new AI slop boxes "Boost submit rate in minutes with Omnisend AI" that don't tell you want its going to do and only has a button to "apply changes". These windows are junking up the interface and have no way to dismiss or close them they are just there forever. I complained to customer service about them, followed up and then they said their so called "Product Team" is keeping them so I can't dismiss them as part of their Beta rollout. So basically they are forcing bad AI sloop at paying customers ... Omnisend costs an arm and a leg to suffer through their beta on something that clearly doesn't work or do anything. My goal is to hope their product manager bosses see this and corrects because talking to customer service doesn't help. This might be the push to move to Klaviyo honestly, they seem to be the Apple Computers of the space.

Just signed up a couple of months ago. The pricing is exactly what we expected it to be and there were no surprises (despite what some other reviews state). We came from another large provider and were treated like just one of 1000's of their customers. When problems started, we had nowhere to turn. We looked at 2-3 other, very large providers, but could not warrant spending nearly $1000 a month, so we turned to Omnisend. Omnisend has some great features and some that do cost extra if you decide to add them. But, they have a GREAT feature where you do not pay per email, but rather per email that you CONTACT. That alone has really driven down our costs. Overall, we have been happy, continue to learn and tweak the system and hope to keep using it for years to come.

Omnisend has been a breeze and a huge breath of fresh air since we started to use it. We come from Klaviyo, and now we regret spending so much time, energy, lost nights and even money (although the money is the least important part) with Klaviyo, which is an outdated, clunky, and nearly impossible to use app (due to it's counterintuitiveness). But, in a way, I don't regret trying Klaviyo because now I know that I haven't missed anything by moving away from Klaviyo. So, if you're unsure, if you see most people online recommending Klaviyo, I say go for it, try it for yourselves for a couple of months, and then try Omnisend. - and I say this as a marketing manager working in marketing for nearly 20 years now. Klaviyo may be marginally more powerful in a few aspects, specifically, some extra segmentation features, and some extra flow logics and triggers/hooks - but these extra things are so marginal that you'll probably never use them unless you're some sort of a large corporate brand selling over multiple markets/countries, and coming up with some unnecessarily complicated campaign logics. Omnisend can do 90-95% of all that already, and they're improving every day. As a store and business owner, you'll spend most of your time in the marketing platform. If that's not a pleasure to work with, then you'll curse yours days. Omnisend will make you love your job again - that nice and easy and straightforward is to work with it. Omnisend's customer service is top. Always available within minutes, and always knowleadgeable and helpful. Klaviyo, literally, has no customer service (despite claiming they're the more advanced solution, and charging a higher premium for their service) other than 24 hour email - and most of the times they just give you basic/generic links to their help files, or just outright tell you they can't help you and that you need to hire your own developer or whatever - unnaceptable. Not to mention that Omnisend is fairly more affordable, and offers a much better deal on SMS plans too. Omnisend is, literally, the backbone of my store and business now - and once the automations are set up (we have about 15 of them so far, each with multiple series of emails), watch it do wonders (of course, assuming your website is in right order as well). I've seen a few other negative reviews here - I just don't understand what's the matter: customer service is top, and the pricing is pretty straight forward (just because some people don't understand the pricing, it doesn't mean it's not clear or a reason for a negative review - and if you can't afford it, just use something else, but it doesn't mean the app is bad).

Honestly in have only started using omnisend for the past month or two now and being new to email marketing I had no clue what to do, but this has made it straight forward to grasp. If your also struggling thankfully there are videos on YouTube with the omnisend channel that usually have step by step videos on different work flow email automation and other tips and tricks and also covering new updates or features the app may have updated/added. Also to be able to see the analytics in a sense of how many people opened your email weather this was a campaign and orders resulted from that email and to have it easily connected to shopify is amazing and one of the best parts about it. It makes being a small business owner so much easier especially if you are just starting out. As I said I've not used it very long at all but for now i am defiantly going to continue to keep using them and i might update this review later on in the future if i feel like I have something else i need to add.

I just spent hours setting up all automations, flows, and logic only to find out that Omnisend forms don’t embed and popups won’t show at all on my site. I contacted support and spoke with Irem, and honestly, this was the worst support experience I’ve had on Shopify in years. They: blamed the Horizon theme (false) claimed custom HTML can’t be injected (also false) said they “checked the code” and found nothing (despite screenshots and the code being there) offered zero actual debugging or solution passed responsibility back to me instead of fixing their broken app Every excuse, no ownership, no fix, just deflection. I’ve worked with dozens of Shopify apps. When something breaks, good teams help you solve it. This team just tried to make it not their problem. At this point it’s clear: they want the subscription, not the responsibility. Extremely disappointed. Hours wasted. And absolutely unacceptable support for a paid app.

Omnisend has been a good choice for my new brand. I used Klaviyo for a previous brand and I wasn't a fan of the interface or prices. Klaviyo ghosted me once I signed up for their service so that was the last straw for me. Omnisend support has been responsive and helpful. It's pretty easy to set up emails and forms like spin the wheel email capture forms.

UPDATE: While I appreciate that they ultimately refunded my subscription after deleting the app, they did so because of my negative review. I liked the previous app for my SMS correspondence. I found this one hard to navigate and too many hidden costs. It just wasn't for me, you may have a different experience. Very disappointed and feels scammy. After deleting the app, the monthly sms subscription is still active, so be sure to go to your store settings and cancel that subscription. I learned this the hard way and support was not helpful.

If I could give them no stars I would. Was charged for 3 months on November 5th, 2025, come December 3rd--I cannot send any emails due to an undisclosed error (saving failed, try again). Contacted Omnisend and was gaslit that it was somehow my fault even with trying on two different laptops, three different browsers, and two mobile phones that were not connected to the same wifi network. Support refuses to refund me even though their policy states they will "consider a refund" under specific circumstances: "A customer cannot use the features over the period they have paid for due to a system malfunction and unexpected issues caused by it.". I paid for three months and used less than one. I'm still being charged for the other two months even with uninstalling and closing my account with this company due to this negligent behavior on their part. Don't be me, find a better company to use to manage your email list!

Misleading information to get you upgrading to pro plan! Upon signing up, I was shown the information on their website that I would be getting 6,090 monthly sms with the pro plan. So I signed up to the pro plan (which I also took a screenshot of this information shown on my computer and have proof of this). I, then, sent my first sms campaign to 1,161 contacts and their website showed that my sms credit was already almost used up! I contacted support and was told that the original message with 6,090 monthly sms shown to me was just an estimate though this *estimate* part was never shown or included in their information when I signed up. I'm truly disappointed and feel like I was scammed to use their pro plan.

horrible customer service. It's black friday and I'm trying to send a campaign. I've been waiting for a reply from their support team for over 30 minutes. According to Linkedin they have 200-500 employees but I can't get a timely reply on the biggest shopping day of the year. Do not recommend at all.

What a joke.. On the shopify site it says pricing is $16 for the Pro version, however when you click on the more details it jumps to $59. However when you start going through the process of signing up, they have the price at $145. TALK ABOUT BAIT AND SWITCH
