Vivian and developer Khang were amazing to work with. They helped me migrate to the new cart in a very short amount of time and were incredibly patient with all the requests we needed to replicate from our older Smart Cart theme. They always responded promptly whenever I had questions and fixed bugs immediately after I were reported. The only small downside is that the app currently doesn’t have a free GWP auto-apply feature. I really hope this gets patched soon — if it does, this app would easily be a 200/100. Overall, I can’t express how much I appreciate their support, and their pricing is very reasonable. The customer support at Opus is next level, they are always patient and they make sure they help you out to the best of their ability even if the problem seems really technical or hard. I was really pleased to be helped by Vivian and Ryan in the developer side, the work they do is really A+ and I will even want to have them in my personal store because of how good they do their work. Never imagined Opus will have developers at their disposed, many apps when the problem is really technical they always follow up with your problem and it even takes days to get resolved but in Opus their developers are like customer support agents that they are available whenever needed. I had really high hopes for this app! It allowed me to achieve the 2 things I wanted that I didn't find in other apps: 1) Add a 2-milestone progress bar to my cart 2) Add simple upsell / product recommendation in-cart to boost AOV. Where it fell short for me: -It replaces the existing Shopify cart page. This isn't necessarily bad, but it felt a little buggy in some ways -- didn't always scroll consistently and I'd see the page behind the cart page scrolling sometimes. When clicking back to "cart" from the native Shopify checkout page, it navigates to the legacy native Shopify cart page instead of Opus. -The BIG one: Detrimentally impacted key conversion and AOV metrics. I watch my Shopify Analytics like a hawk and I noticed that the Checkout conversion rate metric was declining and my overall Conversion rate metric was gradually trending down. I had this app installed from Oct 10-Oct 31st, so I gave it 3 weeks. My checkout conversion rate fell from ~70% down to 59% over those 3 weeks and my overall conversion rate fell ~0.5%. Not apples to apples since it wasn't an actual split or A/B test, but it was enough to convince me to course correct. On top of all that, my main goal of boosting AOV with a 2nd milestone in the progress bar wasn't achieved. My AOV actually fell almost $1 over that time period. Again, not apples to apples with an actual split test, but this made it easy to pull Opus from our store. In the 4 days since swapping out, checkout conversion rate jumped 5% and but AOV has not recovered. It's entirely possible that I didn't design my cart optimally with their app, but I did my best to keep it simple and minimal. Opus is a good idea and offers a strong feature set, however, here's a warning to test and monitor your metrics as you swap a critical function out such as a shopping cart.

Do not install this app! It's completely useless and doesn't even work properly as advertised. To make matters worse, after I uninstalled this broken app, it has left junk code behind in my theme files. Now, every single order I receive has an annoying and unwanted 'opus cart detail' in the 'additional details' section. This is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. An app should, at the very minimum, have a clean uninstall process. This one fails at its basic function and fails at being removed. Now I have to waste my time manually editing my theme's code to remove the mess this app created. Avoid this app at all costs.

Opus cart upsell is good. Its has many options to help suit it to your needs. The Opus team also helps you with modifications. The pricing is reasonable as well. The only drawback is the analytics sometimes aren't tracked well.

update: Was very happy all this while and suddenly yesterday night my app got deleted as i was using the free version and now for the same thing i have to pay the charges. Pathetic it is, alteast a company should send the mails to customers and the app is now got to get paid, kindly pay or the app will be removed. All of a sudden it was a nightmare that the cart is switched back to the normal shopify cart, and on asking the team, they are telling no one deleted it as a ghost out of nowhere logged into my shopify account and did this, there is not even a trace of activity in the log. Very honestly, my work is still under process, the team is onto it. But this review is moreover for the support and effort they are putting in. I had been using UPCART which costed me 12000 approx every month. I am switching to this app due to its free of cost and had almost 20 changes which i required for my design, fonts, etc And i am really astonished to see the kind of support i am getting from this team. I hope it really works out at the end. and even it does not comes out to be working like that, i will still be satisfied with the efforts this team put in.
