Great support experience. I asked if it was possible to show the pre-order shipping information in the cart, since customers could easily miss it before checkout. Although it wasn't something the app supported initially, the team implemented a new feature that lets me add custom cart labels for individual products and customize the pre-order button text. Free version of the app used to work okay, just not very robust. Had to use to same fulfillment time frame for all preorders, so it was limiting. Still had to manage them manually. Opened app today to set up a couple of preorders and found a message saying my free version was expiring in two weeks. Okay. Tried to use the app and it wasn't loading preorder information on the website. Eh, not worth troubleshooting for what little labor this app saves. I set preorders up to handle them as I used to do before this app.

The only issue was a small conflict with another app and they solved it quickly for me. Highly recommend. Simple and effective app and helps you sell pre-orders really well. There are so many PreOrder solutions in the Shopify App Store it's hard to know which one is legit. This one seemed to be the simplest and most appropriate for the majority of users and it has best practices built in. My favorite is the Ron Popeil set it and forget it setting. Once you determine a product needs to be setup for preorder, you can just select it for Preorder and then select it to switch to PreOrder whenever it's out of stock! That way anytime you have out of stocks you're ready to take Preorders. Boom! Thanks again to my boy Gagan over there, much appreciated.

When overseas container shipments don't align with a catalog drop due to unforseen circumstances, it reflects poorly on our reputation and sales. This app enables us to capture the sales and keep the revenue flowing. Our web team has been able to train customer service staff how to add items to PreOrder easily from the Shopify dashboard; I cannot find sufficient words to describe how helpful it is that this app made it so approachable and easy. Everyone can use it, not just us web designers and store developers.

I applaud the fact that this is a free app (at least when we trialled it), but we discovered a bit of a show-stopper when using themes that allow you to add products from outside of the actual product page - for example themes that allow you to add an item from a thumbnail on a home page or collection page. If a customer does this to a product with zero inventory it still allows the product to be added to cart without idenitifying as a pre-order. So the customer thinks they're ordering something that's in stock! Raised this with them, and no answer after 30 hours. I'll be uninstalling. Shame as it looked promising...

I downloaded Preorder Wolf based solely on the ratings and reviews and of other users. It really was simple to install and straightforward to use. Unfortunately, the 'Pre-Order' button didn't show as intended on the first try so I clicked on the chat button and was greeted almost immediately by support. The tech, Eva, was able to get it working properly within a couple of minutes and I didn't have to do anything on my end. Honestly, the speed at which the glitch was identified and resolved has me question whether Eva is a human or an advanced AI agent. I'm not sure which would impress me more. Either way - I couldn't be happier with the results!

unfortunately having to edit my review. a few months in we realized there was a bug with the app. a quick example will explain the situation best: one of our products had an available inventory of 5 units. but on the front end of the site, a customer was able to specify a quantity of more than 5. this is what we wanted, only the "add to cart" button was not changing over to "pre-order" once the quantity specified exceeded our available stock count. we contacted the team who took several days to get back to us. they confirmed it was a bug. they responded midweek and said they'd fix it by Friday. Friday came and went with no update. we gave them the weekend. on Monday we reached out again for an update (as we had just hard launched and were needing this resolved asap). they responded 3 days later (which is pretty insane for a basic update, after not getting back with us on Friday) saying the issue was resolved. the only thing they changed is that the quantity selector function cut the customer off once they got to our max available inventory, in other words on the front end of the site on the product page they made it impossible to specify an order unit quantity that exceeds our available inventory. we promptly got back with explaining that this completely defeats the purpose of a pre-order app. a little alarming having to explain to a pre-order app developer the purpose of their own app (i.e. allowing customers to order more than we have on hand with an extended lead time so we don't lose out on revenue). they responded a day later saying "unfortunately, we are currently unable to add this feature to our app". referring to the primary purpose of a pre-order app as a "feature" that they are "unable to add" is extremely confusing and frustrating once we're several months into using the app and it used to work properly as far as we were aware. happy to edit my review if we can resolve this. may work for others, but as it stands, we're now in the process of sourcing a replacement app. :/

Use to rate this app 5 stars and recommend it all the time when people asked in groups... However they have now made it a paid app. (Thats okay, Businesses need to make money after all!) Except, their pricing plans get expensive really fast! By far the most expensive option for those that sell Big ticket pre order items. So as much as I loved this app and its simplicity it's time to find another app that doesn't charge exorbitant fees.

So easy, no nonsense, and exactly what I needed! As a small business with not much capital, I appreciate this app being available for free when other apps charge so much. EDIT: NO LONGER FREE. After the update the app is no longer free so honestly I take back my previous review. The plans now offered are just as expensive as everyone else, and the base 4.99 plan limits you to $500 in revenue per month. If you have more than one preorder product in your store, this is easily surpassed which means the only viable plans are the $20 or $119 a month...

It is a good app but it doesn't initiates when the product is on a pre-sale. The only change that it makes is to insert a pre-order now button. You also cannot put a time period during which the product is on a pre sale.
