  I am leaving this review based on my experience with the app’s billing and customer support process. I installed the app to test it, but I experienced technical issues and contacted support while their team was investigating the problems. During that time, I was told by their support team that Shopify would calculate and charge only the prorated amount for the remaining usage period after the trial. Based on that explanation, I allowed the app to remain installed while waiting for the issues to be resolved. Instead, I was charged the full annual subscription amount of $86.40. When I questioned the charge, the company later acknowledged that the previous billing explanation I received was incorrect. They agreed that my actual usage amount was only about $2.40, but they deducted Shopify platform and payment processing fees from my refund instead of refunding the full remaining balance. I appreciate that they eventually reviewed my case and offered a partial refund, but the process was frustrating because the billing expectations provided by their own support team were not accurate. My recommendation: make sure you fully understand the subscription terms before installing this app, and do not rely on support explanations regarding billing without confirming the details independently. The app may work for some merchants, but my experience with billing communication and resolution left me disappointed.

  With the help of the support team, we installed the app in the development shop and were able to test it thoroughly. The support was very responsive and always able to assist us right away. Many thanks to Sean, Bean, and the other friendly contacts for their great support. The app was then moved to the staging environment, where the developers implemented all necessary adjustments quickly and free of charge. Now the app is live and running without any issues. The team truly deserves 5 stars. The app gets 4 stars from us. We would still need language control for the labels based on the shop language and not the customer’s IP address. Additionally, the priority logic only works to a limited extent when labels are meant to replace each other while being positioned in exactly the same spot. Once these improvements are implemented, the app will definitely deserve 5 stars. UPDATE 11.06.2026 This app deserves 5 stars. All the customizations we requested were implemented very quickly. The customer service is outstanding and truly first-class. The app itself is intuitive and easy to understand. We are very satisfied and happy that we found this app.

  Very fast and friendly execution of my problem. I've had a loading issue for badges on a theme not many stores are using (Trade) caused by another app. Instead of telling me to delete the other app they helped me and the issue was resolved within 30 minutes!   Wow, the TA Product Labels & Badges app is amazing.   This app has been such a simple no-code solution to communicating with customers using labels. It has been great to customise the front end look of the labels with specificity, its not just a "one size" suits most. Plus, having multiple ways of targeting the product for labels, you don't need to rely on tags alone. Which can get messy and is time consuming for store with 100+ products without a tag manager. The support team has also been very helpful when we encountered bugs/conflicts with custom coding. The app works so well though, we haven't needed to contact them much after the initial onboarding. Highly recommend BSS!

  Very good app, but what would make it perfect is if... if there is a 10%, 25%, 50%, etc group of badge/labels, there needs to be matching 5%, 15%, 20%, 30%, etc (you get the point) - basically ever 5 step percentage should be matching. For my BFCM sale, I had 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, and 30% discounts, but there was not one single "family library" of the same/similar icons that had all these percentages (I think maybe the super generic ones had them all). Anyway, having mismatched icons didn't look overly professional IMO. Yes, I could make my own, or find my own.. but that's why I'm paying for an app - to not do that. Another strange occurrence happened. When I used a bulk-price app to change my prices, BSS recognized those when I used the percentage rules in BSS. But, when I changed the price manually, and changed the compared to price manually (discounting by 30%) the BSS 30% rule didn't pick those 2 products up as being discounted by 30%. Not sure what that was all about. Anyway, very very good app. I just would want to see a complete family libraries of 5% through 100% off (ever 5th percentage step), and matching "SALE," 'Buy X, Get X," "Flash Sale!" icons that could be used to match the 5%-100% icons. Make true families of icons.

  I have installed a couple of these label & badge apps on trial to test out and haven't found one as well integrated as BSS. Their admin panel works fantastically well and gives you a slew of options for adjustment/conditions etc. They do dangle the carrot a bit by only offering the fully customizable options that you really really want within their top plan, but thats just good business in my books! Their support service is also great. They were able to fix some small issues with how the labels fit on my themes product pages quickly. Thanks to Sean for his support!

  This is my first time trying BSS plugins. Easy to use, mainly Sean quick support was great and very professional. You can customize the labels you want, including badges, or find pre-designed styles through the image library. If you have any questions, I recommend contacting the BSS team directly, and they can solve any problems.

  The app works well but it's not the most intuitive. If you have many badges you have to create sets/combinations of badges and then link them to each variant or product - it's a bit clunky if you have many badges/combinations but it works. Also there is quite the noticeable lag when the badges load on the store or when toggling through the list of variants. It's not too bad but not great (I assume their code slows down the store). We have a very old theme (perhaps part of the problem) and so there were a few glitches getting the badges to show at the right spot, however BSS has a very responsive and sharp support team. Thank you Mabel for all of your help! I gave 4 stars but would have given 4.5 if I could. Overall a good little app!
