An application that gives customers the ability to select an option, but then makes it impossible for them to remove that selection, is already problematic enough. What is even more frustrating is that when we report this issue to the developer, we are told that such functionality does not exist and that it can only be added for an additional fee. Because there are no real alternatives, merchants are effectively forced to depend on poorly designed applications and developers who respond to basic functionality issues by asking for more money. The application generally fulfills its intended purpose; however, it keeps producing recurring errors, and we usually become aware of these issues only through customer feedback. For example, a customer may believe they have successfully placed an order, while the system has not actually added or processed it. Issues like this occur almost every month. I’m sorry, but due to the most recent problem, I experienced both financial loss and the loss of a customer. We should not have to constantly monitor your application to ensure that it is functioning correctly.

Apart from the product itself which works exactly as expected what truly sets OPTIS apart is their support. It’s blazing fast, and there are no hidden costs for it. Normally, you’d have to wait 12 to 24 hours for a ticket response, but not here. With OPTIS, you just send a message, and your problem is solved!

Cassie did an amazing job immediately walking me through set up, catching additional problems I hadn't noticed (such as a weird code display once a product was added to the cart), and finally removing the watermark once she was sure she had answered all my questions. Our product listings now look crisp and clean. Since our garments are made-to-order, not inventory based, having size selections available that were not directly tied to inventory levels was critical. We have limited fabric in stock, but we can make any size a customer requests. Normal stock counting made setting up our store tricky, as each size option was required to have stock levels. No longer! Now all of our sizes are simple buttons, not tied to inventory levels. We can much more strictly manage orders, ensuring better customer satisfaction. Plus, our website looks much more polished and easy to navigate. The app was only installed today, so if problems arise down the road (that cannot be addressed by customer service), I will come back and modify this review. If the review has not yet been modified, then assume we are still fully satisfied with the app.

I tried Infinite Options first on Shopify. I was really annoyed because I couldn't upload images!!!! WHAT???? I switched to OPTIS and, holy cow, it is so much better. Christine from OPTIS was honestly unreal to deal with. I jumped on support because my add to cart wasn’t working and it felt like the app and Shopify weren’t talking to each other at all. She responded straight away, super friendly, and didn’t muck around. She jumped into the store, identified the issue quickly, and had their dev fix it on the spot. On top of that, she helped clean up a few things like duplicate fields, button styling, and even walked me through setting up options properly for group bookings. If you sell items that have customization options (like giving the option to select a specific type of accessory with a product and even making that a mandatory selection) this is the way to do it! There is a free option as well as a couple tiers of pay options depending on how much customization you want or need. I've been trying to do this with Shopify's Variants since I created the site but could never get it the way I wanted without doubling my inventory numbers just to allow the options. I saw this, added the app and created several options in a few minutes with no issues and it does EXACTLY what I need. Well worth the look!

I really wanted this to work smoothly, but my experience has been quite frustrating. I built a custom solution myself because managing preorders through the app was very time-consuming. For every product variant, I had to manually set things up just to show “preorder” when stock hits zero. If you have a large catalog, this becomes extremely difficult to manage. A simple automation — like automatically switching to “preorder” when variant quantity is 0 — would solve everything, but unfortunately, that functionality is still missing. I even upgraded to the platinum plan expecting better support or features, but nothing really changed. Another issue is with the “Buy with Shop” button. Instead of directing users to a sign-in page first, it sends them straight to checkout, which disrupts the normal customer flow and creates confusion. In the end, I had to fix everything on my own. I appreciate the idea behind the app, but it still lacks some basic, essential automation features that would make it truly useful for store owners handling multiple products.

*Updated 4/6/26 We have had to remove this app as it continues to pose issues for us in several ways. After waiting about 6 months for the tech support to help fix their issues, it's been left unresolved so we we will be using a new app going forward. Issues experienced were with their uploader. Our clients would upload files and we wouldn't get them. Sometimes they did come through, sometimes they didn't. 6 months of sharing the issue and it's been 6 months of not fixing. We have tried to add new apps just for the upload feature because their options feature works good, but their app blocks the ability of other apps so we must remove this one. I only marked 4 stars, because no one is perfect. That being said, they are as close to it as I have found so far. Had another customization app that was just not working, tried Optis, and everything worked as described and much more intuitive than the last, and where I found issues (usually because I did something wrong) their customer service helped me immediately. Even going so far as to correct the visual aesthetic the way I wanted. So far they are the best I have found and would recommend to anyone looking for option customization for their Shopify Pages. The app is really easy to set up and flexible, but what really makes this a 5 star review (I would do more if I could) is the AMAZING customer support. Very good app that does what it promises. It’s reliable, easy to use, and the support team is impressively responsive and helpful. I’ve had a smooth experience overall with no major issues. That said, there’s still room for improvement — a few additional features and small refinements would make it truly excellent.
