I rarely leave negative reviews, but after our experience I feel other merchants should be aware of the risks. A deployment made by Rebuy caused a critical issue on our Shopify store which prevented customers from accessing and using the cart. The issue effectively stopped customers from completing purchases and had a significant impact on our trading until it was identified and rolled back. To Rebuy's credit, their support team eventually acknowledged that the issue was related to an update released from their side and subsequently reverted the change. However, the incident should never have happened in the first place, particularly given that Rebuy was not even responsible for our cart functionality. What has been equally disappointing is the handling of the matter afterwards. The outage escalated internally to Board level due to the commercial impact on our business, yet resolving the issue required repeated chasing, long delays between responses, and multiple escalations to senior management. After weeks of discussions regarding compensation, Rebuy ultimately agreed to release us from our 36-month contract but offered no financial compensation for the disruption caused by an outage that they themselves acknowledged originated from a Rebuy deployment. The platform itself may work well for some merchants, but our experience exposed a concerning level of operational risk. Any third-party app capable of interfering with core checkout journeys should be subject to extremely rigorous testing before updates are pushed live. Based on our experience, I would urge merchants to carefully consider both the technical risks and the level of accountability they can expect if something goes wrong.

Was able to get a new sticky cart to replace our other app that did that, a new bundle offer on the product page to replace another app, add upsells along the way, and post-purchase offers to replace a third app, so this app covered a range of things that we already did, as well as added some other offers that we've seen increase our AOV and overall customer experience! I installed this app hoping it would improve my store, but it turned out to be a costly mistake. The setup is unnecessarily complicated and requires constant technical adjustments just to achieve basic functionality. After spending hours customizing it with CSS, I ran into multiple bugs that caused my cart not to display correctly. The result: direct loss of conversions and sales. It’s unacceptable for a revenue-focused app to negatively impact revenue. Support did respond, but none of their suggested “solutions” actually fixed the issue. I even switched themes to rule out compatibility problems, and the issue still persisted. The cart would work intermittently — completely unstable and unreliable. For the price, the quality is extremely disappointing. The interface feels outdated, unintuitive, and far from professional. It does not meet the standards of a serious ecommerce business. In short: this app cost me time, money, and lost sales opportunities. I absolutely do not recommend it. There are far better and more stable alternatives available.

This is a seriously comprehensive product with exceptional support! There's a lot to it and for a while I felt a little overwhelmed. But we'd implemented a very basic setup (when I say "we", they did most of it for me - I got on an activation call, had no idea what I was doing, so they set up a cart to get us started). That alone gave us a return of 3x the cost and I didn't really do anything! Recently I decided to look at what else it could do - there's a LOT! Realised we didn't need to be also paying for a bundling app, so got rid of that to save some money and move it to Rebuy, and watched one of their Office Hours videos for inspiration. It's so helpful to see them show you what's working on other websites and I could instantly see where we could improve. Got to work on it, got stuck... it was the weekend. Contacted them, got a reply on the Sunday! Set up a call the next day and Joseph fixed what I'd got wrong, made sure it worked properly with my custom theme, answered my questions really clearly, showed me some other stuff and completely helped jump-start our progress! Even with a very basic setup, Rebuy has proven that it delivers more than it costs. With what I've just learned from Joshua, it has the potential to do way more. The app is worth every penny. The support is gold dust!

I am most impressed with Rebuy's customer service. Getting in touch with a human was relatively easy over chat, and once I did, this person helped me troubleshoot a complicated Gift with Purchase Cart widget. The widget was not displaying in the Smart Cart, and the customer service agent guided me through each step of the process, accepting my screenshots and sending their own. Rebuy has a large learning curve and requires experience and comfort coding. Onboarding is not fast. Access to a real person is greatly appreciated and necessary. Rebuy prioritizes the human experience, even though they also provide AI agents, and this makes adopting Rebuy as your e-commerce upsell app a viable option.

Exiting Rebuy after a multi-year contract has been an absolute pain - they press high price increments, don't make it seamless, and try to lock you in even after contractual expiry. Predatory practices, read your fine print when using them. There are much better alternatives out there that costs much less - AVOID them at all cost.

While my experience wasn't the best, they did address everything and got my issues resolved. This app doesn't work well for my type of e-commerce store. However, it would work well for shops with subscriptions and selling products that are consumed and need refills.

The one thing I'd say is that I was expecting it to be simpler to use - it's taken us quite a long time to wrap our head around it and every feature is different. Rebuys team goes above and beyond, we've never received the type of support their team gives from any other app on here, across any app niche. If you get in contact with Steven or Katie, you're in great hands. They've both helped us accomplish many things that most apps support teams would just tell you to hire a dev for. Not only that, their Ai bot is hands down the most well trained out of any I've used, the Ai bot alone can handle 90% of simple CSS customizations, and even some functional tweaks via callback event settings (if it has documentation for it). While the app it's self is of course limited to some degree, and over use of the segmentation/personalization features will slow down your store, it's still a 5/5 when compared to all other available options. Context: Been using rebuy for about 2.5 years now. Thanks again guys!

They really gave us a cart that looks and acts 20x more expensive than they charged me. For all store owners, I HIGHLY recommend getting the app and then doing the "Rebuy Launch program". They don't push the Launch program very hard, so ask about it. This will really help you go from 0 to 1 and get a converting smartcart quite quickly. When I installed on my store, it did not work. It wasted two weeks of my time. The drawer cart is not compatible on every theme, in this case for our theme. On mobile browser, the drawer cart gets the entire page. I reached out to their team, they don't have an engineer to help. Their success team are wonderful, but they are not very good at coding or fixing behind the hood. Not recommending if you are using premium themes.

Love that I can use AI to drive merchandising decisions on my site. Support has been top notch whenever I have a question or need custom help. My only feedback would be that the interface and customization can be a bit clunky for a novice. While functionality works perfectly, the aesthetics by default are very basic and require considerable CSS to stylize properly. If Rebuy was to add a GUI or Drag-and-Drop interface to stylize their widgets, this app would be perfect.

In beginning as a new eCommerce manager assessing your app stack for marketing enablement is always a first order of business. All businesses come down to the dollars and "sense"! I was quickly introduced to Diana I, our account manager, who brought me up to speed super quickly. Between her and a past Shopify contact of mine who is also an account manager for them, Geoff B, both have fielded what I can only describe as borderline manic requests from me as I rapidly realized we needed to migrate to functions foundationally to truly unlock the power of the smart carts...and they've both been there every step of the way. We absolutely love Rebuy and it's value far outweighs it's cost. Don't sleep on this one, folks. Their support is unmatched.

We had a very frustrating experience with Rebuy. As a business, Wild Oak Boutique invested $1,500 for their developers to perform custom work on our smart cart, in addition to their $999 monthly subscription. However, the code they implemented caused a major issue on our website that was isolated to Safari browsers. The bug created a loading issue that made our website appear frozen to customers, resulting in an estimated $25,000 in revenue loss before a third-party developer finally identified and fixed the problem. Despite the obvious impact on our business, Rebuy refused to offer a refund for the custom work, citing the effort they put into it. For a service at this price point, we expected a much higher level of quality and accountability. Their unwillingness to take responsibility for the issue has left us feeling undervalued as a customer. They were only willing to offer a credit if we continued using them. If you're considering Rebuy, proceed with extreme caution, especially if you're relying on their paid development services. We wouldn’t recommend them.

Beware of the following: 1) They will promise you a dedicate customer success manager whom is supposed to be proactive in offering strategy, data review etc- none of this will happen unless you continually beg for it. 2) They will charge you for recurring subscription revenue although when asked during onboarding, we were told that we would only be charged for the initial order. 3) REVIEW your monthly Shopify monthly bills from Rebuy very careful! They had overcharged us several thousand dollars and had we not checked, we would have never known.

The idea is good, and Rebuy seems like a good choice. But in reality i have had the most complicated, nonsense and waste of time onboarding, unfortunately. Some of the responsibility is of course mine. Nevertheless the designs Rebuy makes of is awful. The functions good but the design just awful. Furtherly i have been waiting for over six weeks - and still nothing is ready. Slow response, lot of different contact point, and long waiting for meeting makes me think this is a strategy they went down - for getting my signature even though they were busy. And then to buy them more time, since their developers are fully booked. So all in all i've paid +1.000$ - hold 4 meetings - sent +30 emails - +5 descriptions of photos of what i want. And we are no further. So from my experience i would never recommend Rebuy so far.

Despite following the help articles and guidance from Rebuy’s support (Nam), the issue persisted longer than it should have. This feature is critical for my business, and the delayed resolution impacted the customer experience on my site. More recently, after enabling Rebuy’s smart search feature, I encountered glitches that severely affected the store’s search functionality. I sent a video demonstrating the issue, but so far, support has only referred me to help documentation, rather than addressing the issue directly. This is frustrating as it occurred immediately after installing Rebuy, and I expected a more hands-on approach to resolving such critical functionality problems.

I had a terrible experience with Rebuy. The app is constantly buggy, and even the simplest features fail to work correctly. What should have been easy to set up required extensive troubleshooting, which shouldn't have been necessary for such basic functionality. To make matters worse, no clear time frame was given to fix any of the issues, leaving me in the dark and stuck with a broken app. The worst part of the experience was dealing with Dan from support. He was unprofessional, didn’t seem to understand our needs, and failed to provide any helpful solutions. I repeatedly asked for assistance from another support staff who might actually care or understand the urgency, but I was stuck with Dan. His lack of communication and inability to fix even the simplest problems was infuriating. For an app that charges premium rates, this level of service and functionality is unacceptable. Avoid Rebuy if you value reliability and professional support.

I've been with Rebuy for a littel over a year. There are some great things about rebuy in personalizing the customers experience but a lot of glitches as well that cause many customer complaints. I speak with rebuy maybe only once every few months. My rep I normally talk to was out of town for a long time and I was set up with a succes manager Max instead. We had a 30 min call and discussed some things we can do to make my site experience better for customers due to all the email complaints I have been receiving (6 changes we discussed to be exact). Their interface isn't the easiest to navigate so I asked Max to help. He did half of ONE task. When I kindly asked about the rest of the items he replied with a rude email that was jaw dropping telling me he "went out of his way" to do what he did and that I can do the rest of the things myself. WOW. Basically how dare I not be jumping for joy for him taking a couple minutes out his day to do what he did. Not the experience I would appreicate from a company I've given thousands to. I've also not seen any jump in my conversion rate since using this app.

Rebuy is an easy solution to enhance your customer's check-out experience. We moved our store from a standard check-out to a drawer cart check-out with upsells at check-out. While it has yet to be seen how well these upgrades will improve our Average Order Value or Conversions, what has been most impressive is Rebuy's customer service and support. Unlike many other apps that I have used across many devices (Android Apps, Shopify Apps, etc.) that have a decent app but poor support (what do you do when you need help), Rebuy provides timely and consistent support that goes above and beyond what I was expecting. Just for that, I would 100% recommend giving Rebuy a try to see if it will work for your store/company, because they will do what they can to make sure you succeed.

We're big fans of Rebuy. Its one of those rare Shopify apps that simply works great. The more you learn the platform, the more you find ways to improve not just your AOV and CVR, but also your customers' experience on your site. Rebuy's system of data sources as the logical foundation for its various widgets is very powerful without sacrificing user-friendliness. It's truly endless what you can do with Rebuy to increase your overall revenue. The team over there is excellent too -- everyone I've chatted with through their live chat feature has been super helpful. Our merchant success manager Monica brings great ideas and feedback to our meetings and clearly has our continued success in mind. Our onboarding team of Logan and Aiman were great too. There are things I would change about their analytics dashboard and reporting. Revenue is somewhat over-attributed, but not in a way that we're not aware of, and we've simply developed our own dashboard in-house using their CSV exports. Our in-house dashboard shows clear ROI, so we're confident that Rebuy is worth every penny. Highly recommend!

Here is my advice: Stop looking at other options and sign up for Rebuy now! This is one of the most intuitive, effective, and all encompassing plugins available on Shopify. I'm a busy guy so I opted for the Rebuy team do my install which was an INCREDIBLE experience. For the value they offer, it is super reasonably priced. Not to mention their team is fricken awesome. I worked with Aiman on my pre-launch/launch and Dante walked me through how to set up my data sources. Both of these guys went above and beyond and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. On to the best part, I keep seeing orders come in with Rebuy add ons. What a scammers. Tried them twice (talking about giving a second chance). Support is close to non-existing. Trying to reach, but talking to a bot, not connecting to human. Simple question: what is the billing of 300+ euros for? Impossible to get an answer. Never worked properly in the cart, had to disable. Also used for AI recommendations (shady in my opinion - is there really any AI learning, or just a fancy word used?) and "recently viewed items"). To pay 300+ euros a month for it - fancy, at least.

Edited: The app was sold to us as a $99/mo solution. It turns out it is a sliding scale depending on how much business you do with them. The app sometimes takes "credit" for making sales that it didn't impact so that is really frustrating. Dante at Rebuy is the best customer support person I have ever had the pleasure of working with in my 14 year career. The Rebuy Engine is powerful and he goes above and beyond every time to make it easy to use. We especially like the smart cart feature on Rebuy.

We are using Rebuy on all 6 of our Shopfiy stores and it's definitely the bees knees of upsell /bundling apps. And we looked at A LOT of options including full custom code builds and custom apps builds. As with any solution there are pros and cons that will be more or less important depending on your situation: CONS - Out of the box designs are pretty limited and it's best to use their $1,000 USD launch package to get everything set up how you want by their dev team. - This process wasn't as smooth as we'd hoped - Rebuy is a big platform with lots of functionality and options - a lot more could have been done to help us prepare for this process so that it could go more smoothly. There was a lot of back and forth to get everything set up. Ideally you go to them with full mock ups of all the widgets you need and exactly how you want them to work. For this you need to know all of the deals you might want to run through those widgets and how they will need to function. It's a lot to think about and prepare for. In saying that many of their widgets are quite dynamic and there is good flexibility with running multiple types of deals and offers through the same widget. But I guess be prepared that you won't be able to do this 100% of the time. - If you want to make major changes to the design/functionality of your widgets, you might need to use their launch package again and go through their dev team to achieve this. - There is a lot of custom coding to get it set up. You're building a pretty big platform in to your store and so it's a new system to manage moving forward. If you have any issues you'll most likely need to go through their dev team to fix them. We haven't experienced any major issues or glitches with their platform in the 6 months we've been live. - It's reasonably pricey but in our opinion worth it's worth it. PROS - Their team is awesome. The support is 10/10. I think this is a big part of why the cost is worth it. Everyone is super friendly and they are based in multiple time zones so you can always get help when you need it. On top of that they get back to you fast and so you don't go waiting 24 hours to actually get assistance. - They know the platform inside out and have lots of epic ideas to help you execute your deals in the best way possible. Our account manager has been going well above and beyond what i'd expect to help us get deals live on our store and execute them in the best way possible. It's seriously A class support and again this is why it's worth the cost for us. - Once you've used the launch package to set everything up you're store will be at a new level of gangsterness. We were using an upsell and bundling app before and after moving to Rebuy the success of our upsells and bundles has improved because the useability is SO MUCH better. They are wizards and can pretty much achieve any UX/UI you want, making everything seamless across your store. Definitely recommend this app highly and just be as prepared as you can for the onboarding process with your designs and functionality requirements. Our stores if you want to check out some widgets - we're using the smart cart with built in upsells and also the bundling widget on our bundle pages that lets people add 2 items to cart at once.
