We’ve been using Wiser for quite some time now and have had a very positive experience with it. The app has helped us improve product discovery and generate additional revenue through personalized recommendations and upsell placements. For our store, product page recommendations and post-purchase upsells have performed especially well. Wiser’s case study on Wooden Ships showed over $48.5K in Wiser-generated sales, with more than $37.6K from product page recommendations and over $10.4K from post-purchase upsells, which reflects the kind of impact these placements can have when set up properly. We also like that the dashboard makes it easier to understand where the revenue is coming from, so it is not just about adding widgets blindly. It helps us see which placements are working and where there is still room to grow. Overall, Wiser has been a useful tool for increasing AOV and making better use of existing traffic. I need it to set up manual recommendation in product pages and it worked perfectly. I can show/hide the "add to cart button" (which other plugins just show and don't allow you to hide) and if some products don't have handpicked recommendations you can set up a "fallback". We had some issues and the app didn't load on the backend. Some minor tweaks and the issue was fixed. I appreciate the good customer service! I do find it takes an hour after a customer places an order when there's an upsell option and we can't fulfill the order until that time passes. It was disrupting our order process flow. I've disabled this feature, and it seems to be working smoothly again.

Installed the app, had to approve the monthly charge before I could even use it (so much for a free plan) which I declined. Read more reviews and FAQs to see that their billing is based off of total monthly orders on your store. Including orders that their app may not have had any part in generating the sale. How is that even justifiable? You say there's analytics of what the app helped sell in a store, so why isn't billing based off that? I mean really...what a scam.

The app is ok, not very well laid out and quite confusing to use but it's manageable. The real issue is the pricing. In September our store had over 300 sales the Wiser app charged us their top tier of $69 even though the Wiser app only referred 16 of those 300 sales (it's worth noting these were upsells to existing orders). I don't believe it is made very clear that the charging is based on your store's total orders even if the Wiser app helps you make zero additional sales. They take a flat fee from your stores earnings even if they add zero value. I asked support for a refund 3 times by explaining the above. I have not yet had a refund. They suggested they would help setup the app further to use more of the widgets and if I wasn't happy I could then have a refund. The logic here is already broken. I'm very happy to pay for the sales their app produces and even a base fee as well but not share revenue that they have not played any part in. Think carefully about how scaleable an option this will be for your store.

I tried to use Shopifys own product 'Search and Discovery'. I couldn't get on with it at all and searched for a replacement. This worked straight out of the box. A Simple toggle switch and I had the Recommended pictures and 'click' now button working directly below my product page using AI to automate the photos. Only used for a few days, so still experimenting, but all looks really good so far. Clearly they are also working really hard on customer service, with the offer to install widget for you, give phone advice and to guide you through all procedures. Can't ask for anything more.

I've been on for over 5 years on the Shopify and I don't have the dilemma that this is the worst app with the worst support. You have a structure that they give you and don't try anything except that. I had a lot of unusual white space between images and fonts and some words weren't visible at all (for example add to cart I saw like add to c without other letters). Support of all of the other apps usually helps you in a few hours. These guys delayed me 4 days for these simple things. I waited 4 days and didn't get a solution, even though they told me that would be fixed.
