At first glance, this seems like a great app — everything appears to work smoothly. However, after installation, we noticed a sudden drop in traffic and realised the app significantly slows down the site. Initially, we assumed it was related to our plan and decided to upgrade, but unfortunately, that made no difference. It’s a well-designed app that offers all the features you might need, but the performance impact is a major drawback. For us, it wasn’t a net gain.

Awful Experience - Zero Support and Functionality I had high hopes for Selecty as a currency and geolocation language changer app for Shopify, but my experience was absolutely terrible. From the moment I installed it, nothing worked as advertised. The app failed to detect customer locations correctly, and the currency conversion was completely inaccurate, leaving my store in a mess. To make matters worse, their customer support is nonexistent. I reached out multiple times for help, and all I got were automated responses or vague instructions that didn’t solve anything. It felt like no one on their team understood their own app! This app is a waste of time and money. If you value your Shopify store and your sanity, avoid Selecty at all costs. One star is generous — they deserve zero. -Note This guy named Sergey from the customer support didn't help me at all.

Very happy about this app. It really allows you to customize the selector and the geolocation banner. Shopify doesn't allow you to edit the displayed language name, but this app does, so I can now have a just 'Português' language rather than a 'Português (Portugal)' or a 'Português (Brazil)', which are the only options available on Shopify, which doesn't even let you use both at the same time, so there is no point at all on making that distinction. I spoke to Shopify about it but they ignored me completely. However, this app's support team were really responsive to my feedback and implemented a little change to make their app definitely the best option for all the geolocation and redirection needs. 100% recommended!

Frustrating Experience with Selector Shopify App Rating: - Infinity. I had the unfortunate experience of using the Selector Shopify app, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. I felt compelled to write this review to share my frustrations and hopefully save others from making the same mistake I did. First and foremost, the app consistently threw errors, including numerous 404 URLs. These issues disrupted my online store's functionality and, in turn, negatively impacted the user experience. Despite multiple attempts to troubleshoot and resolve these errors, they persisted, leaving my store in a state of disarray. But the problems didn't stop there. Even after I uninstalled the app, its pop-up continued to haunt me, appearing on my screen like a ghost that just wouldn't go away. I tried everything: testing it on different mobile devices, various web browsers, clearing cache and history – you name it. The persistent pop-up remained an unwelcome presence, causing endless frustration. Seeking help from the app's customer support only added to my exasperation. Their responses were robotic and unhelpful, consistently parroting the line that "everything is fine on our end." I provided clear evidence in the form of a video, demonstrating the issues I was facing, but it fell on deaf ears. Their dismissive attitude and refusal to acknowledge the problems left me feeling ignored and undervalued as a customer. In the end, my experience with the Selector Shopify app has been a colossal waste of time and money. The technical issues have created a significant headache that I desperately need to resolve. As a paying customer, I expected far better service and support. In summary, I strongly advise against using the Selector Shopify app. It has been nothing but a source of frustration and disappointment for me. I hope this review serves as a warning to others considering this app, so they can avoid the same costly mistakes I made. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for a more reliable and customer-focused solution for your Shopify store.

The support team are great. This is what this app cant do: "Answer from their support" - Let me inform you that our application doesn't provide translation of content. Here is one app that works great with our Selector application: Translate and Adapt. In order for currencies on different markets to work correctly, you also need to configure Shopify Payments. Very very very good app! The support was very responsive even over the weekend and fixed everything we wanted. One day they took about 24 hours to respond, nothing unusual but apparently they were being bombed (Ukrainians). Pretty amazing to see such dedication in hard times.

Never received such good service free of charge. They helped me implement custom code (which you usually pay loads for) into the website for free to make the workload more seamless. No faults at all. Also app embedded with website so easily. Had 0 trouble. Very different from most apps

Awesome support! It was a little tricky finding out why the popup for "Market recommendations" didn't show up, but the support team was relentless and we found it. Perhaps a tip for the next user ;], see if the box is ticked: Settings → Markets → Other markets - Preferences → "Domain/subfolder redirection"
