Analisa took the time to understand the challenge we were experiencing with rewards for subscription customers and went the extra mile to find a practical solution. Rather than simply directing us to a standard help article or suggesting an upgrade, she enabled additional functionality on our current plan that allows us to create rewards for both subscription and one-time purchases. This will make the process much easier for our customers and significantly improve their overall rewards journey. Get it! I have had Smile for a while now, I honestly am having difficulty remembering how long it has been it has been so long. So far, I have had no issues with the rewards functioning properly, customers having ease of use, or on my end as the store owner for the behind the scenes set up things. It is easy to navigate, very intuitive. You can set redeemable rewards to only work for a (one) collection, make it exclusive for the person who redeemed the reward ensuring who ever uses that reward is using that account that earned and claimed it. There are discounted and free shipping reward options customers can redeem points for. They also have options for customizing colors to fit your website branding. I am very happy with the free plan and when I am ready for even more features that support a larger brand/business, I will be upgrading to the paid version. Thank you for such a wonderful, realiable app! :)

This app is solid. Getting customer loyalty points to sync properly across different sales platforms wasn't an instant plug-and-play process for us. However, Smile.io provided us with a solution and helped with the technical capabilities we needed to make it work. What made the biggest difference was the support team. Complex setups can easily get frustrating, but every staff member we interacted with was incredibly helpful. A big shoutout to Alex, who leads the Merchant Experience team, as well as Ezra and Andrea, who provided step-by-step information to set-up the connections. If you run a multi-platform store and need a loyalty app backed by a team that actually guides you in providing the best experience for your customers, Smile.io is definitely worth it.

I was initially please with how this works - however as soon as you want to use it for marketing it fails. I wanted to invite customers to enter a competition and get reward points (become a member) - however there is no easy way to add this list to SMILE so they are made members and enter the flow...? This is therefore not a useful tool for adding new audiences which is one of the main reasons for loyalty. Making the customer do the work is not ideal. Why can't there be a tag/metafield that once added automatically enrols them.

After watching several YouTube reviews, we decided to try the Smile: Loyalty Program Rewards app, even though the pricing is on the higher side for smaller stores like ours. Unfortunately, we were not able to properly test the app. After two separate installation attempts, the app URL did not load at all. We tried troubleshooting from our end by using different browsers and disabling private DNS and VPN, but the issue persisted. Because of this, we could not proceed further with the evaluation. Based on its reputation, the app seems promising, but our initial experience was not smooth. Overall, while the app appears to be a strong solution in the market, the installation issue prevented us from exploring its features.

2-3 weeks ago, I reached out to Smile by email, explaining again the problem we were having as we reached the point where we needed to upgrade to $199USD/month because of the number of orders we process per month. I had previously shared with Lisa, the COO that we love Smile, but because as a bakery most orders are small, we could not justify paying $199US /month just because we have over 2000 small orders per month as some of our orders are 3.99 and with the incentive we give as well to our clients it was not reasonable for us. The app should not be based on amount of orders as it is discriminating when you do lots of small orders. Andrea, reached out to me with a promotion of 50% for a starter plan to allow us to pay only $24.50 USD instead of $49 USD. Thank you Andrea for your help!

Features are OK but what I really dislike is the display of features on the pages that I do not have access to. Please tell me how this is not deceptive trade practices. If it is not in my plan it should not be clearly visible and I should not be able to access it. Maybe this is how Smile coerces customers to upgrade - I find it deceptive and annoying because it wastes my time. Change the UX so that only features available on a plan are visible.

What a terrible trash experience. Not only that the app intergration not display the blocks that I needed but it didn't display any blocks at all. I had to contact support to even get the blocks / settings I want it. Only reason for 4/5 as opposed to 5/5 is because of the "On-Site" section within the app has pieces that say "Set Up", and they don't disappear when I've already set them up. This was a bit confusing at first. Still getting used to it, but its pretty clean so far. Edit: 5/5 for sure. We're on the growth plan, and the responsiveness from the team has been awesome. They've been super attentive to our issues (most were user error tbh).
