Building a B2B site is always a challenge and usually quite unique for each business. With SparkLayer the core functionality is solid, reliable and simply works (which is surprisingly uncommon). The Sparklayer app allowed me to completely avoid moving to Shopify Plus! Saved me thousands of dollars. I needed to add wholesale and b2b pricing to my site but, traditionally, using Shopify Plus was the only way to do it. I'm so happy I found this app. Also, I wanted to do some customizations and the support team at SparkLayer got on a live video call with me AND ended up doing a number of custom coding requests for me, free of charge. They are fantastic! I've been using Shopify for over a decade and this is one of the better apps I've used. Highly recommend!

Awesome product and does what they say. Honestly, can’t recommend SparkLayer enough. We’ve used a few different wholesale apps over the years, and most of them were either a headache to set up or just felt really clunky for our customers and full of errors or constant mistakes. The onboarding experience here was excellent. The team was incredibly helpful and actually took the time to make sure we were good to go, it was so easy to get up and running compared to what we were used to. The features are also just way more polished than anything else we’ve tried. It feels like a premium experience rather than a "bolt-on" solution like most other apps. If you’re tired of fighting with other B2B plugins, honestly, just make the switch. It’s saved us so much time and our wholesale clients love it.

Sparklayer is the best B2B app I've tried! I downloaded and went through the process of setting up and testing out several B2B wholesale apps, and Sparklayer had the best range of features for the price, hands down. I've taken wholesale orders using their platform now and it was seamless. I was initially worried about the subscription price, but depending on your wholesale volume, it's actually a huge savings over using something like Faire that can take a percentage of your order income. I also like that it lets me maintain control of everything on my own site. Cameron and the support team are amazingly helpful as well! They helped me with a setup call, integrating everything into my site, and even some extra help with coding to make sure everything was perfect. They definitely went above and beyond and are always quick to help!

After my initial 1-star review regarding theme update issues, the CEO (Chris Mattingly) personally reached out to resolve the situation. They have successfully adjusted their installation process for my store. They performed the setup on a staging theme without 'detaching' it from the Shopify Theme Store. I can confirm that my theme retains its official update path and I am currently 'Up to Date'. They also provided a full technical summary of the modified files. It’s rare to see this level of accountability. If you use themes that update frequently, I now recommend SparkLayer, as they have proven they can integrate while respecting Shopify’s native lifecycle.

Personally, I think its the best B2B app out there. It looks like the site was natively made for wholesale, not just some ovelay slapped. And more important, the support is right there for you. Their documentation is highly detailed where most of the customization one can do themselves. To those who read a negative review about the tier set up. Yes, its a little more complicated, but thats because how the cart and pricing functions on the backend. For the little pain, in return, you will get a cart that is much quicker and smoother. I know this 1st hand, as I constantly struggled with it on a couple of other b2b apps.

How can something like tiered pricing be complicated to set up? I definitely do not advise this app. They also did not respond to our questions, only AI-generated replies. I’m tired of AI chatbots. This is by far the best wholesale app. I heavily researched the top 5 wholesale apps, and demoed a few, and ended up on this one. So glad I did. It has all of the features you could need, the others were quite limited. But we're very happy with SparkLayer. Now for the support, which is absolutely amazing. Within 24 hours of downloading the app they are reaching out to you to ask if they can help you get it set up and to please schedule an onboarding call. And they will set it up on any theme, and very fast--less than a day. They also respond to any issues you have almost immediately. I've never come across an app where the app creators are so proactive to try to help you and reach out to you to schedule onboarding. If the support for every app were like this, it would be amazing. They helped with many issues, and would even follow up to ask if there was anything else we needed. Just absolute top notch support. Shout out to Daniel, our main point of contact and onboarder. And they NEVER asked me to leave a review. Not once. Almost every other app helps you fix some tiny issue and then hounds you for days about leaving a review and mentioning their name, which is SO tacky. That's why these mediocre apps have so many 5 star reviews. Daniel, or anyone else, 100% did not do that. My reviews is long because I was that impressed by their support. They should be a model to how every other app should structure their support. Fast, effective, proactive, and not helping you just so you'll leave a 5 star review and falsely pump up their rating. It's discrediting the entire Shopify review system and makes it hard to find a good app. These guys are the real deal.

Sparklayer is an amazing app if you want to dive into wholesale without the hefty Shopify price tag. It is pretty straightforward to configure but when you run into problems, the team is very responsive and able to help. They also reached out when they noticed I hadn't been using it for a while so customer success is a really important part of how they work. I especially love Sparkie who, unlike other apps AI tools, actually seems to know what she's talking about. No false advice on app capabilities or sending you down the wrong road here. Bit of a mixed bag with the integration and sync elements. The overlay is good when it works, the tutorials are excellent and the support is very good, however we have had multiple issues unfortunately, so I would only recommend if you have a super simple set up.

We tried some other (much more expensive) programs/apps that could connect to our Shopify account but we found most of them rather complicated, not really intuitive to use and not really flexible when it came to adjusting to our needs. That's why we were super happy when we discovered SparkLayer because it has all the functions we were looking for, is very easy to use and implement and keeps on improving constantly, eg. when it comes to new functions. However, the best part is their customer service because they are super fast and helpful and came up with solutions for any issue or idea we had so far. As the B2B shop is like a mirror or layer on top of the D2C shop, sometimes SparkLayer requires some creative work arounds, for example when it comes to hiding certain content that should only be visible to D2C customers and we would also love to see some additional functions and improvements, for example when it comes to placing preorders for products that are not launched on our D2C website yet but overall, we are very happy with this app and can only recommend it!

So I haven't been using a lot of other B2B apps but I hope that doesn't effect on how you look at my review. Installing requires a bit of coding, and if you're not very skilled there's a great onboarding meeting that can be booked. It's quite easy to import prices and make adjustments regarding looks and feel of the app. Then to customer support, SparkLayer offers really good support. It's quick and service minded. I would highly recommend this app to any kind of business who would make B2B easy, quick and good looking :-) UPDATE. I want to add a sixth star. SparkLayer offers even more help with coding than before and this is just an amazing sales chanel for every wholesale company!

Before looking at Sparklayer, I looked and tried many of the other wholesale / b2b apps on shopify. Sparklayer blew me away compared to them in terms of comprehensive features for b2b and ease of use. All the other apps were super ugly and hard to use. Sparklayer is robust and can handle so many different situations. Plus their support is pretty good (although I wish they had support that overlapped more with USA times zones) and their documentation is extensive. Downsides: sometimes there's technical bugs that require a developer or support, their support is on UK time, and its fairly expensive.

There are constant technical errors and we get emails every month from stockists not being able to order. Why we haven't changed in 2 years if we have been unsatisfied - our B2B has not been our priority as we have had focus on opening physical stores and was hoping that the app would have become better at the time we are able to focus on b2b again but unfortunately it is still as laggy as before. I don't think I've ever had so many issues with an app not functioning properly in my life. The fact that there is such a major time difference makes it impossible to get immediate help. So its always wait for a few hours, sometimes not quite as long...and then they come back with a fix that they haven't actually looked at the whole problem. So tired of this. I have this app on 2 stores because I didn't want to run a 3rd site, but now I am regretting that decision and will probably just pay for another site and cancel these both after paying someone many hours of work trying to get this to work properly.

The resources, reference material and support that this app provides is amazing. I am not an expert web developer by any means but I have been able to do some amazing things with Spark Layer because of how well they've documented their how-to's and user manuals and references etc. A couple times I've needed to reach out to them directly for assistance and firstly, their AI chatbot has been able to get me 90% of the answers I need but when I've been stuck, a real person responded very quickly and helps me get the rest of the way. So far, Sparklayer really delivers! I'm extremely pleased with how responsive / knowledgeable the UK customer service is (thanks Ben!). We're still in test mode, but all the features work: the wholesale checkout is robust, customer groups and price lists work as intended. The only thing I'm unable to do is assigning different terms for the same customer group (e.g., I cannot differentiate between preorders and in stock items to let people check out with an invoice if they're on credit card terms - it's a problem for backorders as people don't want to pay in advance for a product that might be shipping in a month). But overall, I highly recommend.

After thoroughly researching a multitude of wholesale B2B Shopify apps, I felt SparkLayer was the most professional, up to date option. This was not something I wanted to test out 3 or 4 different apps before choosing the best option. After comparing the options I could tell SparkLayer was probably our best option. Another major point of difference was that I was able to schedule a live demo with a real human and it was someone from the actual SparkLayer team, not some outsourced employee from a different country like another demo I had. It has definitely proven to fill all our needs without any issues or conflicts with other apps or feature of our store. The implementation went very smoothly and they installed the code changes in our theme for us in very short time. Even with US/UK time zone differences, support is always very prompt and timely. It also worked very well right out of the box, our first customer we invited to use it was placing orders on it immediately after we invited them, and had no issues logging in and using the SparkLayer interface without any guidance or assistance from us.

One of my downfalls is focusing on perfection instead of "good enough" and setting up our wholesale process took much longer due to trying to find the right set up and workflow. There were many options. Plus for $2k/mo, other softwares that were pretty pricey. This app doesn't have it's own wholesaler signup app, but there's plenty of other apps that help you make forms and that will work with this app, so that's no reason not to go with this one.

From the initial call to installation, onboarding and technical implementation; they have been there every step of the way. Really a pro app for pros. SparkLayer understands the wholesale business model very well and it shows in every little detail in their app. For example: The app allows B2B accounts to have sub-accounts, which is a feature that solves a lot of internal issues for many B2B businesses. The app installs as a sales channel and offers a lot of features for websites looking to serve different pricing and check out experience for their B2B customers. It can get technical, but worth every minute spent customizing it to your business needs. You can upload CSV prices for different customer groups or have the app automatically change the B2B pricing based on your own discount formulas. You can also expand its implementation by using additional metafields, such as override discounts per account, credit lines and balances. In addition, their API is very well documented should you decide to take the customizations further. You can assign different price lists, payment methods and custom shipping profiles to certain customer groups. B2B customers can load their own CSV orders into the cart with a simple SKU and QTY columns. They can also re-order with a click of a button and save shopping lists. I've tried most of the other wholesale solutions on the Shopify App Store and so far Spark Layer has been the most professional and complete product of them all. It's a real project to set up if you want it to be right and have different wholesale groups, so be prepared for that. It's also unnecessarily complicated in many ways and I feel that the ease of use could be simplified without losing any functionality. That said, the support has been great any time I have a question, but they don't work weekends and it can take a couple days to hear back. Overall I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a serious wholesale solution, but be prepared to invest some time into getting it properly set up.

We have tried and failed using several solutions for B2B on Shopify. This is the first app that we have tried that actually delivers. It could be complicated, but Sparklayer makes it simple. And it evolved all the time, with new functions that you didn't know you needed :). They have a great library of support guides that will help you get started. We could only ask for the multi currency/ Markets to be more developed since we are using two currencies. But I am told it is in the works! You won't be disappointed.

Amazing solution for adding wholesale capabilities to a regular Shopify account! It does take some effort to get set up, but their process is streamlined and support is excellent. Far beyond other apps we vetted. My ONLY wish is that we had access to process orders as sales reps from the beginning with the starting plan. Some of the settings for shipping charges could be more dynamic but I'm sure they are working on that, as they seem quite proactive in their product support. All in all an excellent, cohesive solution for adding wholesale functionality without needing a separate website. I have an independent rep who sets up the stores and then the retail locations can access any info they need from the site, or just purchase in bulk at wholesale. The whole process was pretty easy with just a few learning curves. Any issues or learning processes were clearly explained and the customer service, Rhys and Chris, were exceptional throughout the setup and beyond. A great solution for B2B/Wholesale Shopify Stores. SparkLayer is a great interface that enables a lot of functionality that makes B2B selling a better experience. Took a bit of time to get it set up completely but the SparkLayer team was always available to answer any questions/roadblocks that I faced. Overall, I would recommend this if you are considering optimising your B2B store experience

We are very happy with our experience with this app! We've sold B2C for many years and when adding a B2B channel looked long and hard at the options. In the end we've chosen to build a standalone Shopify site with Sparklayer added. It's VERY good. The UI is thoughtful, the processes are clear and the support excellent. It has everything we need as a smaller company and everything we might need were we much bigger! This is one of those bits of software where you can tell a very skilled team has thrown everything at it, no half measures. I'm writing this because I appreciate that basically! I like paying for good software!

I never write reviews and actually hardly ever believe these ones are real but I felt compelled to write one today. I can't yet speak on how good the app is at being a wholesale solution. I think it will be great. What I can talk about is the customer service levels. Incredible. Chris helped me all weekend with some tricky implementation. So grateful and has my site looking great.
