THIS APP SHOULD NOT BE ON SHOPIFY. The UI looks pathetic. Search is just like any other search apps. Shopify's base theme search is better. Most importantly, it permanently edited my theme codes and left behind useless visuals and changes that I cant revert back even after uninstalling! Modified the search bar, search page, collection page, filters. They are not available EST.

We were forced to install this app just to leave a review, this company keeps sending us unsolicited emails, avoid them at all costs this sort of insidious behaviour should not be tolerated and Shopify should be ashamed of themselves for making us have to install their app.

This is an exceptional app and by far the best search and filter app that is offered for Shopify. What sets this apart from other apps is that it is similar to Search and Discovery but, S&D on steroids! At first this app did not do everything the way I had it envisioned it for my site but the Support Team at Sparq led by Harshit went way above some small fixes but worked with me to build their app to do things like Search and Discovery...only better! Their app now allows filters with Metaobjects! So you can make very pretty filters with images and swatches to look so much better then just plain boring text. But, unlike Search and Discovery, their app has no limit to the number of filters! Search and Discovery only allows 30 filters, I use over 200 over hundreds of collections. Next Search and Discovery and native Shopify only allows 128 entries for metafields. Using Metaobjects you can get past Shopify's limit of 128 by just making your filter using Metaobjects which I have found no limit to yet. So this app does 2 things no other app can do! In addition, Harshit must have spent in total 40 or 50 hours of time to match their filters template for collections, exactly match my theme. FOR NO EXTRA FEE! This is amazing service and now I have a beautiful site with a matching search and filter app that looks like its part of the theme. I cannot explain in this small review just how good this app is and how good the support team starring Harshit is! It is worth every penny they charge. I just think they don't realize how helpful all these things they did for me will help others out there that are stopped by the Shopify and Search and Discovery limitations. This app has been fantastic for us. We run a store with a lot of products in specific categories, i.e. - this fits this vehicle, this does not. This app helps us use our tags to filter all the items correctly which is perfect and just what we needed. It also allows our customers to drill down to what they need quickly and easily which results in a higher conversion rate. The customer support has been AMAZING. They helped us with a couple installation blips we had very quickly. Well worth the cost, which isn't too expensive to begin with. 100% recommend this app over any other filtering app here!

We have been using this app to enable search and filter on our Shopify webstore for some time now and this review is much overdue. Overall, this app does everything it says about filter & search. And it does it really very well. Top that with a support team who is responsive and eager to understand your requirements and help custom make solutions for you. The search is so much faster and broader than the regular Shopify search and users can view what they are searching as they type in real-time. So far so good! We carry a lot of different brands of products with different options for the variants, so we needed an app that could filter based on tags. This one works perfectly, and we've had very positive feedback from our team and our customers. The backend setup interface is not immediately intuitive, but I was able to schedule a time to walk through the options with their team and clarify the options. Support has been great from the Sparq team- they are not in my time zone, but if I leave a message during the day they get back to me quickly. They've been super helpful in making small adjustments for me, and overall I'm very happy. Thank you!!

Ok, let's be clear from the start. What is trying to be achieved is pretty complex and should be easier to do except for Shopify's poor collections and filtering structure. I tried numerous apps, which basically broke my theme. Our store design www.famousrebel.com is the most important thing to us and the other apps just didn't care about that. Instead layering a filter over the theme creating a mess. Now I'm also not going to pretend it was a totally easy experience. It's not. I did have to push on comms, and at times got frustrated but to be fair when we spoke via hangout the problems were sorted very quickly. As I said above I expected this. It's a very complex thing to change on your store. But once done should make a big difference. I must single out special praise here for the Developer Gaurav as he has been especially helpful. Now the reason for it, not all being plain sailing is exactly what I stated to start ..this is a complex thing to do and each theme and store is different. The whole process does make you really think about your store from a customer's perspective and how you need to make things easy for them. The theme went live last night and it looks good. The functions are clever. It looks like it was designed with the theme in mind and it works. In fact, the only time it didn't work was due to errors in my collections, which were politely pointed out by the team. So far. So good. I will be keeping a close eye on the site speed score and hope the new code has not slowed the experience down. But all in all. We got there. And I got what I think will help the UX of the store for customers and increase sales. Time will tell. And I will update you with any changes.

Be careful with this app. After install this app, if you uninstall it, your search bar won't work anymore. I check the back-end of my store, there are full of back-up files created by this app that will still stay there even if you uninstall the app. Really annoying!

Not the best experience - I had to keep on pinging the support for the answers and to check if what I needed was done. Support did not point that I need to select a more expensive plan for my needs until lots of effort was already put. Also, they took almost a week to remove the code from the store, which kept me waiting as I couldn't check other apps. Also, the filters are buggy, some weird huge buttons keep on appearing over the price slide, the color palette looks disarranged, tags did not appear in the filters.

DCKBOARDSHORTS.COM Honest opinion: Our true rating is 4, but we didn't want to downgrade their rating, because they are great and deserve to be highly ranked. The app itself works well and is a must-have on any Store. They are able to set it up according to your Theme and to your liking, which is great! If your store is fairly basic and you don't have any special needs, 100% perfect. Customer support is also great (on the first few back-and-forths) as they reply quickly and the live chat option on the app's dashboard is a top feature. You can also set-up a video-chat if needed. ...BUT... It is NOT easy to set up at all all if your store has special requests and needs. Our store has been taking almost 4 weeks to set up and we're still not at 100%. Sometimes delay was due to difficult requests on our end, but sometimes we were unanswered for 3/4 days. Overall, we HIGHLY recommend this app, specially if your requests are not too sharp. If they are, we also truly recommend it, but be prepared for a bit of a headache, lots of time invested and some miscommunications. Good luck!

I am using this app to help me give a better search engine experience for my customers. Great customer service. Kudos to the team. I must also say that their app is very fast (milliseconds) and provides a lot of flexibility for our store on what products or collections to display in the robust search and filtering engines. There so much room for personal customization with this app which is perfect, the best part is the fact that customer support can do anything for you if you need help. They have the experience and creativity to customize a filter precisely to anyone's theme without needing instructions because they just know what looks good. When I did have requests big or small, they complete it before I can even check back for a response! They made my filter look exactly how I envisioned and explained to them. My experience has made me very happy with their service because I appreciate how smoothly the process went and never once was disappointed when I request help, they pull through. The best customer service I have had out of any app I've used over the many years being on Shopify. It can be a bit techy to set up all the filters the way we wanted it, but the team has been so responsive and available frequently to help us set things up exactly the way we wanted. I tried out several other apps but didn't find one that fit our needs as well as Sparq did.

Don't like giving bad reviews but fed up with time wasted installing apps that don't work. Such a shame; it seems to be a good app but... Hangs during installation. I tried on Firefox and Edge. After trying twice to install - uninstalling and reinstalling, I gave up after 15 minutes waiting for it to finish installing. I think it got to the part where they retrieve my customer personal data for their records. (Hopefully, they'll delete that data as per the shopify agreement to delete within 48 hours of uninstalling app). I tried contacting their support but you need to book an appointment, according to their welcome email. I received an email from them welcoming me the app and then mentions it is a 14 day trial but the blurb on the shopify app store says there's a free plan which, is conflicting.

Lastly, I've already experienced great tech support... I had a couple of questions about settings, and Chris was there on chat to quickly answer them for me and even offer some coding help. Sparq is by far the best collection filter side bar app I have come across having spent the best part of today installing and removing others, on desktop this looks perfect but on mobile the only option to display filters is through a floating icon which conflicts with a floating cart icon I use, fortunately the dev team has been kind enough to assist me in replacing the floating icon and I hope they allow this customisation in their plans in the future by default as I think it's really good to have the choice in addition to helping me replace the icon displayed when a collection has no results to show, so far so good and I'm excited to see how this improves my conversion rates going forward (this has helped turn the default Debut theme into something a lot more less generic).

You have so many apps to choose from in the shopify store but really what It comes down to with the 3rd party apps is the customer service! The Sparq app is a great way to class up your collections and provide customers a very complete search bar. The customization options seem to be endless from different border colour of buttons to which pages and collections show on the search bar. The customer service has been the highlight however, I wanted to have a few extra adjustments made and they have been incredibly helpful. Very quick response times and going above and beyond the asking. I'm excited to see how this app works for customer conversions but I have a hunch it is really going to help set me apart from other websites in my category. Can't recommend enough!

I've used EVERY filter app available on Shopify. Literally. All had things that made me iffy to use them such as non-multiselect options, jittery selection (where if I select a filter, it moves to the top of the page), not hiding subfilter options after a main filter was selected, refreshing the entire page after clicking a filter, opening the clicked item in a new page, the list went on and on. Not with Sparq. It may be new, but don't let fool you from the fact its a powerful search and filter app. I had an issue on initial install where my page ended up on a column to the left, so I emailed the support team...at 4:00 AM EST, and low and behold, I got a response back in 2 minutes! Really great, as opposed to waiting the next day as I had got accustomed to with other companies in the genre. Chris was awesome and kind and I truly couldn't be happier. He let me know it may take about 3 hours, and fixed it in 1. Not only did he fix the problem, he added filter selection to my collections lists as well. So now users can click on a collection page and filter through it without having to go to the main page. 5 stars all the way. They also have a free option which I believe covered 50 products, but I was so happy I decided to upgrade to the 100 product package because the filter is truly worth it and I don't think something this good should be free. Thanks to Sparq, I know my customer's shopping experience will be flawless.
