Disappointed. The App store says there is a free plan available - there is not. There is only a free 7 day trial, after that there are only paid plans. EDIT TO ADD: The app developers reached out to me to clarify based on my poor review: "To clarify, the free plan is available for stores on the Shopify Development plan, as noted at the bottom of the App Store listing page." To me, this is still a total bait and switch because if there is a caveat it should be clearly and explicitly stated at the TOP of the app store listing page, not at the bottom and certainly not by disguising it with the "free to install, free plan available" as the core pricing advertised for the app when that is strictly available for a certain group of Shopify customers.

Classic bait and switch app. The only functionality is a toggle on/off switch for "gift message", "gift wrap", and "gift receipt". There are zero setting options or customization options. When I toggled on the Gift Message option a 2x2 square of a blurry gift icon took up the entirety of my cart. When I contacted support to see if I was missing the menu option for settings or customization, I was told to grant them full access/permission to my shop and that in the mean time they would let their dev team know. Dev team know what? The app is completely useless. The pro subscription advertises the following and none of this is built into the app to use: Add unlimited paid and free gift wraps Can appear in the cart and product pages 2 design types: Pop up modal & Checkbox Fully customizable design to match style Supports custom checkbox & modal images Attracts attention with visual animation

We have found this app to very helpful. It's easy for us to offer different styles of gift wrap and an easy way for customers to include a gift message with their purchase. They were very quick and responsive to my request to have the options removed from one product from large amount of product offerings. We are a chocolate shop that offers chocolate covered strawberries that are only available for in store pick up and cannot be wrapped.

I apologize for saying this, but their app has proven unreliable due to recurring errors. I’ve recorded videos of the issue multiple times and sent them to their support team, only to receive responses like, “This problem has been resolved,” when in fact, it hasn’t been fixed. This has happened repeatedly, and I’m quite disappointed by the wasted time. Specifically, the app is implemented in the cart drawer, but when a gift message is entered and the customer proceeds to checkout, part of the message entered toward the end doesn’t get saved and remains incomplete. Additionally, the saved message cannot be reviewed on the checkout page, so customers might proceed without noticing the issue. I leave this review hoping that the poor quality of support will become more attentive and serious moving forward.

Update: Since now they have fixed the issue for me. I'm updating my review. I hope they could do a better job communicating but they did fix the issue for me. This has to be the worst app ever. The major issue is the developer is impossible to communicate with. They said they can't have a cancel button for the popup, so you have to save your gift option, you can't close the window without saving. How ridiculous. Then I sent them the screenshots over and over again telling them there should a cancel button, they JUST don't get what I mean, or they pretend they didn't see it or something. They are totally lacking both communication skill and technical skills. Avoid at all cost.

This is the 5th gift app I tried and this is the one for us. Simple set up -- it showed up immediately and so did all the changes I made (not my experience when I played with other apps). The "products" --wrapping, messaging, and receipts -- are separate so it doesn't look funky if you only want to use 1 piece of it (not my experience when I played with other apps). Worked instantly with drawer carts (not true with other apps). I wanted the location to change slightly and their dev team had that done in minutes and their communication was super clear.

This app does what it advertises but warning if you are using ReCharge app for subscription orders: this app is not compatible with ReCharge. This application is great to give our customers the option to have a tick box to select "I'm a gift". The customer support team was exceptional in response time and making the requested changes. One downside of the application is that customers can't simply check the tick box but there has to be another pop up, a kind of double opt in. Update 11/28/20: Had an issue and their customer service got back to me within a couple hours (on the weekend, at that) and fixed it for me! That's awesome. Original review: After fighting with a dozen "gift wrap" and "options" apps with exorbitant price tags, this one does everything I need it to with no exhausting install. It's simple to set up, it works flawlessly, and it's $2.99/mo. Can't beat that. One suggestion for the developers: if you could allow us to exclude specific products somehow, that would be great. I dropship some POD apparel items alongside the ones we warehouse, so I added an "apparel not available for giftwrap" disclaimer on each of those products individually. Not sure how that will pan out but we don't sell a ton of apparel so hoping it doesn't become an issue.

I used this app to help me allow customers add a gift card and gift wrapping as I found lots of online stores don't allow you to do this. Integrating the app with my website took me 5 minutes and customers started using it that night. I use this app to allow my customers to leave gift messages. The app also comes with a check box that allows my customers to hide gift cost (gift receipt - the price they paid is not in the gift).
