Update 8/7/26 -A big thank you to Hendrick for all his help! He responded to our emails very promptly and actively worked to resolve our issues. He is responsible, attentive and highly professional! Update 3/22/23 - Phone support George has been super helpful and went above and beyond to solve the issues at hand. Not just doing his job but genuinely trying to solve problems! Update 7/15/22 - The support experience has deteriorated in the past months. The development team is taking extensive time (est. 1-3 weeks) to fix issues. Before then they were able to fix it within a week. Responses from the support team are generally longer than 24 hours, typically in the 48-72 range. The responses often don't solve the issue at hand and would require follow-up, which extends the already lengthy process. I've been using this app for more than half a year. Functionalities - outstanding. I use shopify payment, PayPal and Quickbooks. The integration is seamless, especially considering that Synder is a third party app and have to work with all these guys to get things right Support - extremely knowledgeable staffs who know the apps in and out and have knowledge on the accounting aspects too. Responsive, efficient and willing to help. I've never seen a support team that's this dedicated. Whenever I point out bugs, their dev team is usually able to resolve it or come up with a fix in the next several months. I wish I could have a dev team like this. Those are not easy fixes. Excellent App that automated our revenue process. Very helpful support as well - responsive and willing to help.

I was looking for an app which can help me record all my transactions from Shopify and Stripe to Xero and I decided to try Synder. Synder provided great ease of book keeping syncing both my Shopify and Stripe into Xero seamlessly. Bit of set up is needed although it is easy enough to figure out on my own without needing to contact support.

We are using Synder service on two stores. So far everything works well, it helps a lot with accounting (sync to Xero). Matching of payment transactions from paypal with actual order saves a lot of time. Good admin panel with detailed information, filtering and error messages help to solve some issues like items out of stock etc.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Clarissa from the Synder Support Team, and she truly went above and beyond to solve my issue. I needed to direct taxes to different accounts for AZ and CA. Clarissa provided a creative and effective workaround that allowed me to achieve my goal. She patiently walked me through the process of disabling the Apply Taxes setting in Synder and creating rules to map taxes to the correct accounts in QBO. Her instructions were clear and easy to follow, and she even tested the solution on her end to ensure it would work for me. Synder helps me enormously by simplifying the process of reconciling payments from Shopify and PayPal into my Xero accounting platform. Before Synder it was an almost impossible manual process, but with Synder it's a simple one-click process. Setup would have been complicated for me, but the Synder support team did it all for me. Could not have been easier. And when needed, Synder support were both responsive and helpful in helping me through additional setup issues where my lack of knowledge was the limiting factor!! Yes, it's a little expensive, but if I think of what I'd have to do if I didn't have Synder - well, it would be impossible! Recommended.

We started using Synder to sync Shopify, Stripe, and QuickBooks Online. For six months, it functioned as advertised, and in January, we committed to an annual plan to cut down on monthly costs. It seemed like a safe decision—until February. That’s when Synder quietly removed one of the core features we relied on: syncing Stripe transactions into three parts (Invoice, Payment, and Stripe Fee). This setup was essential for clean accounting in QuickBooks. Without warning, Synder changed this to a single Sales Receipt with a Stripe Fee, which disrupted our workflow and forced us to process every Stripe transaction manually. We immediately contacted customer support. For weeks, they deflected, citing back-and-forths with their technical team. Eventually—after over a month—they admitted the feature would not be returning. At this point, Synder no longer met the use case we paid for. We asked for a refund. It was escalated to their billing team. That was three months ago. Since then, we’ve followed up every few weeks and received the same canned reply: “It’s with the billing team, they’ll get back to you soon.” They haven’t. Not once. We’ve now lost hundreds of hours manually reconciling transactions due to their feature change. Synder continues to ignore our refund request while keeping us locked into an annual plan for a product that no longer serves its advertised purpose. The issue here isn’t just the missing feature—it’s the complete lack of accountability and basic customer service. If your business depends on consistent, reliable accounting integrations and transparent communication, Synder is not a company you can afford to trust. Avoid annual contracts. Avoid this tool if your workflows depend on stability.

Effortless Syncing and Seamless Bookkeeping! Synder has been an absolute game-changer for our business! We use it to sync Shopify sales, fees, taxes, inventory, and customers with Xero Online, and it works like a charm. The setup was super easy and took less than 15 minutes. Synder supports multiple platforms, and its auto-sync feature has saved us so much time, especially with daily reconciliations. The flexibility of syncing daily summarized entries or each individual sale gives us complete control, and the ability to import years of historical transactions with duplicate protection is an incredible feature. Highly recommended for Shopify merchants or anyone needing a seamless integration with Xero. The only downside is the pricing. Hopefully they consider repricing for importing historical records.

Very happy with the support we received, especially from Lana S - who was always very quick to respond despite the time difference, and the quality customizations provided by Andrew. I appreciate that they always had a sense of urgency and even responded on a weekend. The team even kept us posted after a few days so I was confident that I didn't have to chase them up, which was refreshing! It took some time for us to customize our integration with Xero (as we have some specific requirements) and we had to try quite a few settings to get it right, but it's pretty much flawless now. It may not be the prettiest looking but it offers an advanced level of configuration within the app which achieves almost everything we need and saves so much time on bookkeeping. Highly recommended for the time savings, reliable automation and excellent support!

It took ConnectBooks three weeks to onboard us. The difference in support was a chasm. ConnectBooks have the ability to map products between QuickBooks and your marketplaces with a simple excel sheet - like every other application. Synder do not have this facility, we worked with their technical team but they were slow and provided incomplete mapping and support - more so they did not deliver what was promised, only 10% (enough to fill a screen). ConnectBooks focus on payouts which is all that is needed - no more gazillion new customers interfering with our wholesale business. We asked for a refund of some of the fees we paid so that we could pay the data for our ConnectBooks implementation but they refused. Initiated a credit card dispute. I am disappointed with this experience, I see many good reviews here but recently some very negative ones. I believe this is an account management issue with a specific account manager that needs to get fixed and made right by Synder management.

I used Synder as our first bridge from Shopify to QuickBooks, worked great, due to our company moving to QuickBooks Commerce which was unexpectedly retired, we needed a solution to manage our data. After so many failed attempts to move our data, even from QB Online to QB Enterprise, the data would not import. Always failed after hours of wasted time, until we came across the Synder App and their Business Importer/Exporter. Easy quick setup and fast results. Be very careful, if you are thinking of using Synder - it could cause more problems than it solves, and can be incredibly unreliable: we've been using Synder for just over a year, to connect Shopify to Xero, as it had a functionality we could not find elsewhere. But in that time we have had 3 or 4 major incidents, where Synder has created massive accounting issues. Often, these issues seems to happen following Synder 'updating' something, presumably from not checking for bugs properly. For example the latest issue saw Synder not create invoices for £4700 of orders, and instead applied the value of these orders as payments on unpaid invoices, so removing over £9000 of sales from our cashflow and accounts; it took me 2 days at the worst possible timing to manually fix the accounts. Or a previous incident, when in trying to fix another issue, their support ended up duplicating a few months worth of certain invoices (not helpful when you use direct debits..). It has basically been horribly unreliable; everything can be working fine for weeks or months, and then all of a sudden some change or perhaps an update occurs and a bug (not that Synder will ever call it what it is) will have been created, and the key question is how log does it take for you to discover, and what havoc will it have caused in the meantime! It often feels like you are Beta testing Synder, and paying for the privilege... And what refund will you get from Synder for the wasted days, the lost income, and the hit to your credibility with your customers, not to mention the stress of having your accounts messed up? Frighteningly little, they will likely offer you a handful of 'sync's' , whilst charging a substantial amount for the app, and rarely parting with a penny of what you have paid. If I knew what I know now, I would have never started using Synder; but you build your systems around the use of such things, and it takes planning and effort to redesign how your business operates. It holds great promise Synder, on paper, but in our experience it has been costly, incredibly unreliable at times, and Synder seems to care little about the effect of bugs on customers.

We tried using this app in our Shopify store for over a year but could not get it to sync properly and it has been a nightmare reconciling our books. After many attempts with their tech support, we were forced to find an alternative solution, which is much less expensive and has been working like a charm from the minute we installed it. To add insult to injury, Synder will not reimburse us for the 11 months this year we will not be using their app. What a waste of time and money.

Best if you're importing from multiple channels and syncing data by each transaction. Pricing may seem high, but assuming you're on multiple channels, it's not bad 'cause other apps charge by each channel, while Synder charge by the total number of transactions.

Found this app through the app store. Does the job well and as described. Only complaint is the inability to accept multiple currencies with the smaller plan. We sell in both the U.S. and Canadian markets, but don't have enough sales to justify paying the larger monthly fees.

Downgrading my rating for the app. In the beginning when the integration was under a different version it worked very well with a few minor glitches - easy fixes in QBO. However, the new integration is causing a lot of extra work and my level of confidence for the app has dropped significantly, This app uses the Product Title (Shopify) to map to the Name in QBO, not sku to sku. Skus are "unique" however Product Titles may not be, Synder randomly creates new products requiring a lot of manual work to fix.. Random transactions, in random accounts, app indications a "complete sync" however in QBO it's missing products on the invoices. I will continue to use this app and once my subscription is up I will research and find something else. It's better then nothing. Original review: This is an amazing App...Felix has been amazing answering any and all my questions no waiting for responses regardless of your time zone. Reconciling has never been easier Synder keeps my tax accurate making filing PST/GST/HST (Canadian) a breeze. Super easy set up, great communication with the developer, t My only regret is not finding this app earlier! The past month has been a breeze, reconciliation was insanely quick!

Turned into an existential threat to our company Synder built an atomic bomb into our entire accounting and did nothing to fix it for one month. We do not know how to proceed, the Service is not replying and we do not have a way out. We have thousands of orders in the backlog that are not synced and no way to solve the problem. Our cash flow is off, our inventory is off and we are entirely blind. Be aware of all the fake reviews of newly added users that only rated Synder. Check the negative ratings for an accurate idea. Update: The friendly Service team helped us to solve the complete shutdown after multiple weeks. Now the tool is 20% working with multiple failures per hour. I am definitely not happy with the current state, as we have one person nearly full-time monitoring Synder. Update: Weeks later, the tool is still not working. Errors and red flags are everywhere. We are in 24/7 contact with support but we are still looking for a solution. Update: The issues seem to be fixed now and our books are restored correctly. Andrew worked hard to solve our problems and we appreciate his assistance. We will update this review in the future in case the system stays stable or collapses again. Update: Another update. After reconciling our books we found countless other problems that were caused by Synder. The service guys (especially Vili) are legends but the tool simply does not work. It creates so many problems and we invest more time in trying to solve them than we are saving using the tool. For the past months, our inventory, sales figures, and revenues have been completely off and we are doing everything we can to straighten things out to close the year properly. So despite all the great and responsive service, Synder and everything is represents is probably the biggest problem we are currently dealing with as a company

We have struggled in the past with the manual burden of syncing the Shopify transactions into QBO. This application definitely decreases the manual burden and helps to reconcile our books. There is a learning curve if your QBO needs to be set up a particular way to integrate properly. Still working through why certain transactions get "skipped" in the syncing process.

There's a lot of Xero to Shopify apps, lots of them with limited or overly expensive functionality. Synder are stand out so far especially with regards to their customer service. I got Andrew on a chat and rather than direct me to 'help articles' - he carefully explained and problem solved all of the technical issues I was facing. This is the difference that will get me to subscribe to a service that actually solves my challenges. Fantastic so far. Highly recommend.

This product is great for recording costs on Amazon in QB. However, it does not come "out of the box" and it will take hours of programming on your side and continued back and forth via email to get things just right. You have to advocate for your company and your books as the onboarding only covers a small portion of the specific rules and fees you will incur selling on Amazon. Furthermore, be careful about potential price changes after you are in their ecosystem. We have also been waiting on the Walmart fees integration for over a year. Each month, it is a month away from production, but it has yet to come to fruition.

Synder listened to our issue, which I believe is a "we" larger than just our firm, and is updating their Journal Entries to accommodate days there are more than one deposit. I trial it with Etsy and Shopify, I can tell the integration is mazing works well. I moved only because it is able to track Shopify payout fees that keeps my records correct and I am not required to enter it myself. I wish this app would be cheaper, there is a limit on synchronisation and is very limited for small sellers. This would be something good to offer a better plan for small (home) business.

I am currently using Synder with two clients and I am adding a third to the platform this week. This is an excellent integration app and I highly recommend it. As a bookkeeper with many retail clients, both brick & mortar and online, it is extremely time consuming to integrate Shopify data. Shopify is particularly troublesome (as opposed to Square) because the platform's payouts do not match with the days that the transactions were made. It takes hours to sort through their reports and come up with some kind of "order" manually that will match with Quickbooks. Synder takes care of this task. The staff are extremely helpful and if you take the time to listen to their suggestions, they will set things up for you so you can actually see your data with little work on your end. Specifically, Synder brings in each and every Shopify transaction, then breaks it up by sales, fees, taxes, returns, discounts, and more. It then will match the payouts from Shopify with these transactions and the results are seamless. I honestly save countless hours a month with this app. Soon I will be testing out the "class" system with Synder--which will allow me to sort sales for retailers who do both in store & online transactions. We will be setting up Synder with rules so the sales feed into one of those two classes in Quickbooks reports. I have a lot of confidence in their staff and I will check back in to let you all know how this more advanced integration works out! Finally, I should mention that Synder also works great with PayPal and Stripe. I have not used it with Square--yet--but I assume the results will be superb. I actually really urge bookkeepers to try out Synder. I see it as a partner essential to my growth and expansion, especially as the world becomes more automated and data becomes more difficult to discern without some kind of help with integration. Synder is great. What makes it great is the customer service. Syncing transactions across platforms is a bit of a daunting task, but Tina made it easy for me and my company. The only downside of the app is that it does not allow for push data from QBO to my marketplace apps (such as shopify). When you are trying to manage a large complex inventory you need to be able have QBO speak to the marketplace when new inventory has been purchased so it knows to restock. We actually solved this using another app that was free. But unlike other apps like A2X this app allows me to utilize QBO's built in inventory product costing which allows us to get accurate cost of goods sold reporting. Other apps like A2X require that you manually update the cost of goods sold in their system. When you are managing an inventory of hundreds of parts that change all the time this is a non-starter. Synder is the only product we have found that is reliable and has excellent customer service.

We used Webgility for years to sync our sales from multiple storefronts to Quickbooks online. It fell short in several key areas: Shopify sales paid with PayPal, transaction expenses from PayPal, Shopify, and eBay, and reconciliation of payouts from Shopify, eBay and PayPal. It took an enormous amount of time to adjust and reconcile accounts. Synder now correctly handles all of those issues for just a little bit more than we were paying Webgility. Support has been fantastic!!! We had a few start up issues and Synder support staff was HIGHLY responsive and addressed all the issues. Highly recommend this service!!!

Snyder was one of the only apps that would work with QuickBooks Desktop Pro which is a huge plus for me (most others only work with QuickBooks Online which I don't have). I use Snyder to import and sync data from PayPal, Stripe and Shopify to our QuickBooks. The app does a great job, however, the best feature of the Snyder app is the customer service they provide. Not only are they available both by chat and live, but they respond almost immediately to any issue. One of their customer service associates, Lizzie, took a great deal of time to help us solve a very complex sync issue caused by us on our end. Many companies would simply tell you it isn't their app or problem that is the issue. Lizzie helped diagnose the underlying issue that allowed us to resolve a very frustrating problem She is great! I have also had the opportunity, when setting up the Snyder app to work with Ted. We went back and forth on a chat session until everything was set up and operating perfectly. Overall, as I said, app is great, but Lizzie is the best and Ted gets the job done.

I purchased this app because we use shopify for our organic maple farm to process our orders for both retail (our website) and pos (on farm sales). with our website through shopify, we can accept pay pal, amazon, apple etc... we are not a big company but when you get to the point of reconciling these accounts and reporting sales, journal entries are painful and the reporting in shopify at our level is not easy to navigate. We wanted an integration with Quick Books Desktop (not the online version). After searching around this company was my choice. The reason I chose them has to do with their response time during the support chats. So far all my problems were resolved in the chat and I am able to syn my QB and shopify together very easily. I learned in my last (failed) business venture that proper accounting from day 1 is paramount to knowing exactly how your business is doing, and staying out of trouble. So, I was looking for a way to automate the information from Shopify to Quickbooks online. I found this app, tried it out, and it took me minutes. That's it. My advice is to use the manual add process if you have more than one store, because this app will let you book your transactions to a different QBO account for each store. That means you can do PnL really easily in QBO - that's a major win. When Lizzie, my agent called, I had to tell her that I was good and didn't need any help! It was pretty funny, but awesome because this app "just worked" for me.

We migrated from Sage50 to QBO and we used snyder to import transactions into QBO and it worked great. I had a question and the chat was fast and Kiryl was able to answer my questions quickly. Great service.

These guys ROCK! The support is dead on. The configurations for different sales channels is not intuitive in some cases, but the support team has always been able to respond and/or fix any issues quickly. I used to book all revenue based on net deposits, now Synder books gross revenue and balances all the expenses associated with each sales channel in a clean easy way per settlement received. We also moved our inventory to QBO - Synder takes the orders made and keeps my QBO inventory as my source of truth for all sales channels. Still working through some issues, but the response has been good and so far, I'm happy we've chosen them.

As a food producer who sells direct to consumers on Shopify as well as at farmers markets, we needed a solution to help reconcile online payments through Shopify as well as in-person payments using Square. Our strength is in creating and selling granola, not doing accounting. Synder solved our issues for us, helping us reconcile bank deposits with sales - as well as sorting sales taxes for a number of taxing entities. The Synder support team was great, too, helping us onboard quickly.

This app is just too difficult to integrate. Straight out of the gate I got a password reset e-mail. Why reset? I never setup a password. Then an e-mail from the CEO. Then another to finish integration. That's what I've been trying to do!!!! Tony Bondar did not help. Uninstalling !!!!

I've been using the app for a few months now and it integrates really well with QB! Not only can I have multiple payment accounts automatically sync through Synder, but I also created categorization rules to automatically apply the right labels to each transaction. On top of that, Lizzie from the customer support team is responsive and actually helpful. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to automate their QB more.

Hard 2 stars or soft 3 stars. The platform seemed easy to use. I was more than happy to subscribe but before I did I had some questions and wanted to be shown how to use the website via a demo (which is standard with most SAAS businesses). I was told there are webinars or paid personal demos. Now call me old fashion but shouldn't the salesperson be courting the client? It also makes me think if this is the way I am treated as new business AKA a hot prospect how will I be treated when I have joined! My advice to the CEO or head of sales is to think about your target market. You are targeting people who are busy and want the accounting side of things to be taken care of. If there is software that can help me with bookkeeping whether it is $50 or $150 a month does not matter. I would happily pay more to have my hand held and shown exactly how to use it only think about it at tax time. Not only that, I would probably never change even if there was a cheaper alternative on the market as it would be more hassle than it is worth. For these reasons I have uninstalled Synder and will use one of their competitors which I hope will show more customer care.

I use this app to help me to automate energing sales and payment data from Shopify to Quickbooks Online regardless via the payment was from Shopify CC processing or PayPal. The application not only brings over the payment but it also creates a sales receipt in QBO and then I would match the payments to them. It also separates the payment processing fees so I can track that separately. I do see some issues where some products that I sell online get created twice in the product / service list in QBQ that I need to clean up and merge, but not sure if that is a Synder issue or a shopify issue.

This app has saved us hours and hours of billable bookkeeper work. With the press of a button, all transactions can be synced to our QuickBooks from Shopify and other payment systems. Support has been phenomenal as well. There was an issue with one of our tax IDs showing incorrectly and they called us to get us to fix it. Highly recommend this app. You won't be disappointed.

4 months into using it, I can tell you this app works great syncing the Shopify Store and POS transactions in QuickBooks. I was very impressed not only with their product, but with their top notch support and customer service as well.

As our business grew, we found that we needed to move all of our books from a manual method to Quickbooks Online. We reviewed a few products and Synder looked like the one we wanted to try. First off let me say that I went into the usage of the app expecting something easy. And by that I mean, install, it goes, it's done. This app is not "easy" but when you think about it you're connecting Shopify to Quickbooks.. and cross populating a LOT of fields. It's not going to be plug and play. No app is. This will take some time to get set properly, there ARE questions you need to answer and things you need to know about how your books process. That's not an unreasonable request, and I think if you connect Shopify to Quickbooks, and you're not an accountant, you should expect it's gonna take you some time. That being said.... We were able to import an entire year's transactions from shopify into quickbooks. We get payments from shopify and paypal. We also get payments in multiple currencies. Synder was able to handle all of that. It works in the background now because it is set up properly. It works. NOW... here's the gotchas. This is my fault, not Synders. I bought the app, and pre-paid for credits. I clicked through really fast and imported everything... and realized I did it wrong. I just wasted all my pre-paid credits. This would be fine if it was a week of data. But I pulled 12 months in. My credits were gone. This all of a sudden became a very expensive project. I called support and explained the situation. 100% my fault, I'm a dummy, I set it up wrong, I screwed it up. They were kind enough to give me back a good percentage of credits. They didn't have to do that. I have placed a LOT of support calls. Support is online, via chat. They are responsive, fast, accurate, and solve the issues for me. Honestly, it's a really good app. My only warning, as I said... if you are linking shopify to ANY quickbooks account.... don't get an app and just click install and run, thinking it's going to be easy and solve your problems. It's not. No app will do that. It's customizable on purpose. But once you do it.... you're set. A great app. Take the time to do it right. I should also add that the support team has called me to check on me, and most recently Darya called to make sure everything was working properly from my support tickets I've sent in, and for a status and review if I had any feedback on stuff, so they could make the product better. Imported transactions from about 2 years ago. It works well thus far and the support team is very responsive. Takes some setting up but once you have it nailed down it imports everything accurately.

This is an absolute must have app. It is your one stop shop for syncing any transaction to quickbooks or xero. Paypal, ebay, amazon, shopify, square and if they dont have it already I can assure you they will integrate it. Their customer support is how we all dream customer support would be. They fix and update you on any issues you might have daily and they actually listen when you have a feature request. I'm not sure if it was me directly but I mentioned that timezones and ebay managed payments would be good features to add to a support staff member when they were fixing another issue and the next month both of those features were in the app. I've tried all of the other apps that integrate ebay, shopify etc. This is the easiest one to use and has the most features and again trust me when i say they have an outstanding support team. Tony asked me to leave a review as the app is quite new on shopify but I was most happy to because of my great experience. Sorry if this review sounds too good to be true but this app and this development team are something special and deserve the praise.
