DANGER, do not install in your shopify store. I tested this site out for a few hours, then uninstalled, and the program left code across my site that could not be removed, and I had to pay someone to remove the code that was left AFTER the uninstall. To Soboosters credit, they replied fairly quickly, but they really need to fix this issue where code is still left on the site AFTER uninstalling that affects the site.

4/9/2024 - Time for another update. I just updated my theme and had some integration issues. The team were great and promptly resolved all of my issues quickly and without a second thought. There were even some settings in the theme that were changed and they picked up those changes at the same time. Awesome app and awesome support. It's great to see such a high quality app and team and we're loving being able to work with them for so long. 14/11/2023 - I had to come back and update my review. If I could give a rating higher than 5 start, I would. The team at SoBooster are awesome. I have asked for some very specific things to be changed for my site and they have always accommodated. There isn't another plugin that compares to this in terms of functionality, performance and any other measure. If you want a filter plugin, this is your best option. Original review "Hands down, the best filter/search app and an amazing team to back it up. I wanted to add a color filter to my website and allow my products to have multiple colors without needing variants set up. I tried a number of other plugins before I found these guys and nothing was easy and none of them really hit the mark. The team at SoBooster answered my questions super quick and when my preferred quick view plugin didn't work with their collection page, they said "no worries, send us some details and we'll fix it for you". Within 24hrs it worked perfectly. I highly recommend this app and this company. Very professional, helpful and good at what they do."

Before making my decision to go with the USF app, I setup and tested multiple different Search & Filtering apps on a test store and none came close to matching the theme design out the box. This app matches your theme design nearly 95%, and then working through their excellent support team, they customised whatever was remaining to match the theme design - these guys were very helpful, especially Dong - thank you for your help! The functionality out the box with the USF app is great too, and through their Admin Dashboard you can configure your search to pretty much the N-th degree, and what you cannot figure out their support team will help you with. I highly recommend this app.

You should see the prices that these guys charge for their app. Absolutely ridiculous. If you have more than 1000 products then just pay a guy on fiverr or upwork to make a custom app that can filter your products. Shopify's built in Instant Search is something but AI Search & Product Filter is something else! As your business grows, merchandising rules are important to bubble up certain products or hide products based on search queries. I am updating my October 2023 review in May 2024, with further positive feedback (as can't submit multiple reviews). Following on from the previous brilliant work by the team last October 2023, helping us to stylize the collection /filter pages (we have a lot of info to display), we'd found that that the format wasn't working well for mobile users. I sent the team a mock-up diagram of how I would like the content to display, including the need to embed information pulled from external apps/plugins. Literally 24 hours later, the team had rendered the changes, fixed the formatting, fully tested and deployed working. WOW!! We are in start-up mode and despite offering to pay towards development fees, the team did the work free of charge - pro-bono to help get us up and running. I have spent much time researching different Shopify filter and search options - this solution stands head and shoulders above others on flexibility, performance, features, metafield use, price and just brilliant support. Businesses at our stage of growth depend on suppliers being flexible and responsive and we will look to keep good relationships with the team as we grow and continue to utilise their apps and services wherever possible. A big thank you! :) :) :) ORIGINAL REVIEW - October 2023:- If I could rate this developer 10 stars versus 5, I would. If you are working with sorting and filtering collections based on custom metafields - look no further, this is the app to go for. Here's why..... Firsty, the App is the only one that makes sorting collections by custom metafield not only possible, but intuitive to set up and immediately working, including the possibility to override front-end default collection sort settings and set the order of default sort priorities. Wow. Then you get into the business of these filtering apps all rendering their own collection-product template, which overrides your installed collection template and any customisations you've done in Liquid. Here's the 10 stars bit - firstly the filter template looks native without having to make a bunch of additional custom settings (believe me I've tried several other apps where this was a nightmare to get things looking "normal"). This app have the cleanest UI among the apps we researched. When choosing an app, we prioritized the four things in our search: --- 1. Clean UI Among the filter apps we researched, this app has the cleanest filter menu. 2. Merged color option This is the most important part for us. We have a wide range of colors for each product, so we didn't want all the colors to be displayed in the filter. However, this app offers a merged color feature, allowing us to select 10 colors as reference points and categorize all our colors. The only downside is that not all listings are displayed in color, so if there are multiple colors like Black and Black denim, only one color is chosen to be displayed for each product, which is disappointing. 3. Customizing filter menu We wanted to customize menus that weren't provided before. Moreover, we wanted these menus to be implemented with checkboxes like other menus, so users could easily click to view them. We requested customer service to solve this issue with our store-specific coding. 4. Friendly customer service Initially, it was difficult to get in touch, but we continued to contact them via email, messages, etc., and they made efforts to address the issues we encountered. We are grateful for their efforts to provide answers and resolve issues to the best of their ability. Thank you very much.

2024 update: We've been using this for several years now. Support has always been excellent. The system is very flexible and allows us to have a range of filters for all the different types of product we sell. I was looking for an app to replace an older filter we've had in place for years. I wanted a system that allowed: 1. instant search 2. multi-select in filters (e.g small + medium) 3. different filters for different product groups Our website has a lot of different product categories and most filter solutions only allow the same filters for all products, which just doesn't work for us. The solution also had to be quick. Sobooster were very helpful with installing it. It didn't take too long to learn and the more I used it the more I found they had all our requirements covered. You can base filters on tags, which is mostly what we use for flexibility. The tag name, or suffix, can be the filter option. We have been using this for a year now and it is a key component of our website. Support is excellent. Highly recommended!

The app is now down and I cannot contact customer support, and had to cancel my entire campaign. This is not the first issue we have had. We have published products which have not appeared on the website, and had to uninstall the app. Another time when a new product was published, it was displaying with no images and randomly a 404 redirect blog at the top of the page. UPDATED 10/23: this app is so great in concept. the issue is that their server keeps crashing, leaving our site inaccessible for indeterminate periods of time. we only know when we look at our site and the collections won't load. their support says that they are monitoring, but i have never once been alerted to an outage. really a disappointment. ORIGINAL: this app has SO many benefits. want to show all your variants as individual products? they've got it. want to merchandise your site so that it looks super great? no problem. need something custom? the customer service team can probably figure it out. i have yet to find an app that has this level of functionality -- totally changed our website!

I signed up for the trial with this app and thought it was great. Once it was about to end, I realized that other apps allow the same number of products in a collection to be filtered for the same price or cheaper, so I canceled the trial and went to another app. Customer service understood and very quickly helped me fully uninstall. I can confidently tell you: I have not found another app nearly as good as this, (which is why I'm back!) with every single one of the other apps managing somehow to destroy my theme in one way or another by altering key features in the theme, and customer service taking too long. This app is simple to use yet detailed and has many features. It does not slow your store down and has a great-looking filter. The customer service is great. Yes, it's more expensive than other apps. And yes, it's better than other apps. If you're looking for an excellent collection filter app, this is the one. I highly recommend it.

I have been using the SB app for a good while now and it has been amazing. It has allowed me to make specific metadata edits and allow people to search for hidden elements without them showing on each product page. I have also loved the analytics it pulls from search queries, as it lets us know what customers are looking for and what if there are things we should consider producing etc. The customization on collections has been huge for us too. We needed the variants to show up as single products and have a somewhat custom title which the team was more than able to help with. Every time I need assistance the support is amazing. The app has made our website clearly advanced in terms of UI/UX. Love it!

We've been using this app for a couple of years and it has performed relatively great for us but lately their service (servers) keep on dropping - the current outage is more than 48 hours - which means that none of our collection pages are coming up and since all of our collection pages are setup using this app, our site is essentially down whenever their server goes down. That, to me, is a problem especially during a holiday sales season. Not being able to count of quick resolution of issues and not having a backup (their app code should be able to revert if it can't connect to their servers) is a problem considering the marketing activities and expenditure that we put in place weeks in advance. Additionally, their systems do not send emails or alerts when their system is down so the only way to know about these issues is to constantly check the status of your site (and specifically the collection pages) or via customers sending us messages that the site isn't showing any products (what happened this past labor day weekend). I really like the app and its capabilities but they have to do more work around stability of their servers and proactive alerting to their customers when their systems go down.

Not happy at all with this app!! Like many other 1-star reviews - this app broke my theme. Once I downloaded the app, instead of all my items being categorized in the correct collections, every item on my website was grouped into one collection. My website would refresh after about 5 seconds and then correct itself. After I uninstalled the app, it still was somehow connected to my websites theme. I had to reach out to Shopify, and they escalated my issue to their development team because it wasn't an easy fix. Then I reached out to the Developer of the app, and they had to be the ones to fix the issue. Just be cautious when downloading this app!

The only thing I didn't like was that any page the filter was on changed my theme's font to the apps font. However, I sent a support ticket in and my font on the filter pages was immediately changed back to support my themes font. Does it let you filter products by tags? yes. It worked fine for us, but the price skyrockets based on how many sku's you have in your store. We had crossed the 10,000 product mark which was the plan we were on, and it PREVENTED PRODUCTS FROM DISPLAYING IN OUR COLLECTIONS. I understand if they would have removed the ability to filter or use their search function as that is what it is here to do, but to tamper with an inherent shopify feature is absolutely inexcusable. We spent two days going back and forth between shopify support and our theme support trying to troubleshoot the issue before someone determined that this app was blocking products from displaying until we gave them more money since we had 10,004 products now instead of 10,000. You can now filter with Meta Tags in themes 2.0, and I would recommend going that route if you can as this app will gouge you. We are paying over $100 a month just to filter, and the prices go up to north of $500 a month depending on how large your catalog is. I do have to dig deeper as this apps support says that Meta Tag filtering is limited to 1000 products on shopify, but I will say that I am very frustrated with the way the app behaved without clear indication of what the outcome of not immediately updating would be. (We just crossed 10,000 products a few days ago)

We have this app on a few of our stores and I DO like the app. However it has many issues which have cost us tons of sales. 1) Their server goes down which means your collection pages will not load. 2) Black Friday the app stopped working for a few hours making customers unable to look at products unless they had the link saved. 3) Currently, as I write this, none of the 100+ items we've added in the past 24 hours are showing leaving us unable to do a promo. Their excuse is that it's syncing, which is unacceptable, it doesn't take 24 hours. This is also making out of stock items show as in stock since the collections aren't up to date.

This is the best search app that I have used so far. The results are great, being able to setup synonyms is amazing. I can search for green bag, and literally it shows all the bag variants as green. There were a few small issues, but their support team quickly fixed all of them. I can't recommend this enough. Update: I've been trying to change how some of our information was displayed and was unable to. I reached out to support and they made it happen. They also gave me the line number in the Javascript so I can modify it if needed in the future. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

Really powerful tool when it works correctly. Changes are not automatic, some lag time to catch up. I.e. If you make changes, the website doesn't reflect it right away - maybe 10 minutes, maybe an hour - depending on how many changes were made (prices and quantity adjustments, making a collection live). Customer service response has significantly improved over time. Overall, a satisfied customer. Thank you for making a great product.

I'm very much a perfectionist and I have looked at EVERY alternative app for filters. This one does everything needed, it looks the best, plus it's very intuitive in setting everything up. The support team are amazing too, they worked hard to ensure we were happy with the bespoke tweaks we requested to align with our branding. They also reply quick and work quickly too. We couldn't ask for a better service. Aside from getting a developer to code you something from the ground up - this is the best filter app that you could wish for.

I would most definitely recommend this app. This app was the ONLY app I could find that did everything I wanted to do. I wanted to be able to tag all of my products including variants and filter based on those attributes. I was able to do that with this app (by way of metafields), and when filtered, it also shows the correct variant image. It's search functionality also makes our website search much more powerful. It has more functionality that I didn't even mention that's very useful. It's user-friendly, and support is also great; very quick responses through chat, and really helpful.

12/15/2021 - My site needed a lot of customziation due to some artist choices and the customer service team spent hours online with me making sure it was what i wanted, and a couple of the requests were reconfigurations based on the appearance of the new changes they made. At one point they even brought in developers. And while i wasn't always at my desk, they kept the project going. Three weeks later i noticed something else, i did a diagram of what i wanted and it appeared the next day. I will always use their company. If they don't have exactly what you need, ask them, if it's remotely possible, they will do their best to satisfy you. This was customer service at it's finest. 03-16-2022 Since my last comment, the team has done still more work, that I cannot believe has gone so nicely and efficiently. I have not worked with another app, that has this type of detail and consistent and gracious customer service. If anyone isn't getting what they want, it's their own problem. And i have no affiliation with US SB

this app is amazing... and the support is even better you can really set up the filter functions as you want i didn't see a function that i could not choose... for every step you have a lot of options how she search or the filter should be also the integrations... for example: instead of trying to make an own translator, they working with all the known translation programms / apps and have an ONE CLICK integration with them so they give you the chance to have the best translations integraded in this filter app... thats amazing they also work with a lot other programs to make the filter even better really amazing

This is probably the best search/product filter app out there. We used this app for almost a year with no problem at all. With Shopify new update and added filter functionality we decided to let go of the app. Our page speed dropped 10 points the day we deleted. We suspect bad behavior from the app developers since I explicitely mentioned that we are removing the app inorder to improve our store speed. Shopify chat also confirmed that the app may have left residual code. We are yet to confirm this. I'll update the review accordingly.
