**UPDATE after Vela’s public response:** Vela’s response proves my point: instead of addressing the problem, Vela blames the user and publicly calls my review “blatant lies.” Vela claims my listing count changed pricing tiers. That is simply not true. My shop has always stayed around 2,200 listings, below the 2,500 threshold, and my monthly price remained $23.95. If my listing count never crossed into a new pricing tier and my price never changed, what exactly was Vela repeatedly asking me to reconfirm or upgrade? I even reconfirmed the same $23.95 plan, but Vela kept asking me again and I still could not access the platform. If the app repeatedly asks me to select or confirm a plan again and still won’t let me in, of course I would believe my subscription was no longer active. Instead, Vela kept charging me and now blames me for “failing to confirm.” That is Vela’s subscription-flow problem, not user error. When I finally discovered the continued charges, my subscription was already paid through August 11. Yet on August 9, I still had no access. Justin refused to fix the access issue and simply repeated “no refund” while offering one free week. If I cannot access the platform, even 100 free weeks are useless. I have screenshots showing the inactive/inaccessible status, billing records, and screenshots of Shopify Support confirming that I was unable to access Vela during a paid period and advising me to open a formal case. Vela can call me a liar, but it still has not answered one simple question: Why was I charged for a service I could not access, while being repeatedly asked to confirm a price that never changed? **Original review below.** I have used Vela for many years. Unfortunately, my experience with Justin from customer service/developer has often been frustrating. Whenever there is a problem with the app, I feel that he tends to blame the user first instead of considering whether there may be an issue with the app or its design. If you read some of the other poor reviews here, you will see that other users have complained about similar experiences. I tolerated this for years, including the repeated price increases, but recently I had a much more serious billing issue. I was continuously charged $23.95/month for Vela Lite, but repeatedly could not access my Shopify store and was shown a message telling me to select an “UPGRADE” plan again “to retain access.” I did not want to upgrade, so I stopped using Vela. Since I could no longer access my store, I naturally believed my subscription was no longer active. Yesterday, I checked my billing and was shocked to discover that I had actually continued to be charged for almost six months. Justin claimed this happened because my listing count changed pricing tiers, which required me to confirm a new price. However, my store had around 2,200 listings and remained within the same 1,000–2,500 listing tier that I was already paying $23.95 for. So I still do not understand what price change required an upgrade. More importantly, whether I confirmed an upgrade or not does not explain why I could not access the service while Vela continued charging me every month. My latest billing period was paid through August 11, yet on August 9 I still could not access my store. Justin refused to refund the months I was charged and did not clearly address these contradictions or restore my access. How is it reasonable to continuously charge a customer for a subscription while they cannot access the service they are paying for? I believe there is a serious problem with the way Vela handles subscription access and billing. What concerns me most is that if I had not noticed the charges myself, it appears the billing would have simply continued. This experience made me feel extremely misled, and I think other Shopify sellers should be aware of it and carefully check their Vela billing.

Love, love, love this app! It was a game-changer for us! We have shops on Shopify and Etsy, so being able to update, modify, and create listings in one place saves us tons of time. Recently, Vela made an upgrade to their platform that uses AI to optimize copy, create product images, and write SEO ehanced alt tags. I had the privilege of speaking to Justin, one of the creators, and he clarified how it works. When you click the button to optimize tags, titles, descriptions, etc., it tailors everything based on whether you’re listing for Shopify or Etsy. The score it gives you is based on each platform’s specific algorithm—not a generic one-size-fits-all system. So basically, Vela uses different criteria depending on where you’re selling, which makes it way more accurate—and means we don’t have to write everything outside of Vela anymore.

FURTHER UPDATE Feb 26: The product remains a great product, but ive now reduced my score from 5 to 3 stars as the pricing model is now too expensive. The number of products i have in my store should have no bearing whatsoever on the cost to use the app. Disappointed that this pricing model has been implemented. Have now uninstalled and looking for an alternative. I just wanted to post again to say that this is perhaps the most helpful app I have in my toolbox. It saves me so much time in managing my huge range of products and is so easy to use. Hats off to the VELA team! This is a fantastic app! It's really helped me to get through updating a significant number of products with ease. I've also had great support from Justin. when I've needed a bit of hand-holding. I consider this app an absolute MUST for those of us with 1'000s of products!

I’ve only been using Vela for about a month now, but it has saved me an incredible amount of manual work. What used to take a considerable amount of time now takes just a fraction of that time. . The app itself works well and I like the user interface. Customer Service was where it came off of the rail: Justin, responds promptly and starts off helpful to resolve issues; even on a Sunday in my case. However, disagree with him or critique the service or any part of an ongoing issue and process in anyway and the environment quickly changes. Justin became argumentative and rude during the interaction as a result. He even attempted to reprimand me during our communication - indicating that I would rather send lengthy emails then allow him to fix the issue via screenshare. What customer service dept. speaks to anyone like this? We are not familiar with each other. As I mentioned the app is very nice but I cannot support a business that handles a longtime client (since 2019) in that manner nor can I recommend this business as a result. Justin had to have the last word and kept sending messages. I allowed him the last word to close out communication. He kept mentioning how he was just trying to help. Well, we pay a monthly fee for that help; so, it is not a favor. It is your duty. Customer service reviews for this company have been low across other reviews here and elsewhere as well - indicating the same issue I experienced: Rude, and extremely unprofessional and insulting behavior. Do yourself a favor and research it for yourself FIRST!

I have been using Vela since it was in beta several years ago and I can't begin to tell you how many hours of manual work it saved me. I use it for my shop on other platforms as well. Has been working flawlessly and it's so much easier to use than the clunky built-in "bulk editing" Shopify offers. Not to mention the friendly, fast support you receive when you do run into any issue. Super happy, love it!

Mediocre experience overall. It’s reasonable that the app charges more as you add listings, but the pricing enforcement is aggressive—once you exceed the limit, it can disconnect immediately and prompt you to pay right away. On the other hand, if you remove listings to reduce usage, there’s no refund or credit issued. Use with caution. Do not recommend this app for beginners or anyone without legal teams

Love this app—and the fast, responsive customer service is a huge bonus. The interface is clean, intuitive, and makes it incredibly easy to find and bulk edit listings, pricing, and product details. Compared to other bulk editing tools, Vela is far more polished and user-friendly (most others feel clunky, outdated and kinda ugly). Vela is smooth enough to confidently hand off to a VA or team member, which alone makes it incredibly valuable. We use it daily to optimize SEO, update listing titles and descriptions, create pricing profiles, and manage product photos—all in one place. The built-in AI photo editing is a game changer. Being able to edit and improve images directly inside Vela saves so much time compared to exporting designs to Canva and re-uploading them into Shopify. Original Review: 4 Stars Vela is great for quickly uploading new products. We do weekly drops and this has made life way easier. Really happy we made the switch. Knocked off one star because one feature was missing that is crucial to our workflow: the ability to schedule product launches. At the time, this added an extra multi-step process to every drop. Support said scheduling was coming soon, and once added, I planned to update my review to 5 stars. Updated Review: 2 Stars After using the new scheduling feature for three weeks, we experienced enough issues with support to lower this to 2 stars. Vela still helps speed up product creation, and when it works, the time savings are real. But the scheduling and profile systems caused real problems for our team. Support consistently pointed to user error, even when the workflows were unclear or lacked basic safeguards. Week 1: Products posted at $0.00 We scheduled a product launch using the new feature. Items did not go live on time, and when they finally did, the prices were set to $0.00. We accidentally sold over 40 items for free before catching the issue. Support said this happened because our shop had not been refreshed recently. During the drop, they then auto-refreshed the shop, which temporarily locked us out of the system while customers were live on our site. Week 2: Quantities zeroed out Even with the shop fully synced, the next drop still had problems. Items went live a few minutes late, and this time the inventory for each product was set to zero. Everything appeared sold out until we manually re-added the correct quantities while the drop was active. Week 3 – Listings deleted after canceling schedule After the first two weeks, we had decided to avoid using scheduling altogether. However, one of our employees accidentally scheduled 20 new items. I followed the chatbot’s instructions to cancel the scheduled listings, assuming they would return to draft status. Instead, 18 out of 20 listings were deleted entirely with no warning or fallback. When I reached out to support, they explained: “Since I assume these were newly created listings there was no status to save them in after canceling the publication. So when it goes direct from new listing -> scheduled there is no fallback to draft.” They also told me: “You scheduled multiple different operations to take place at the exact same time or within a couple minutes of each other, which as I've explained is NOT allowed.” Apparently, the correct method is to use one bulk publish operation, rather than scheduling items individually. That may be technically correct, but none of this was clear in the UI. There was no warning, no explanation at the time, and no way to recover the work once the mistake was made. Rather than acknowledging that the system might need a confirmation prompt or better guidance, support placed the blame entirely on how we were using it. Prior issue: Profiles overwriting live listings A few months earlier, we had another issue that also impacted our rating. I made some small formatting edits to a product profile, expecting those changes to apply only to future listings. Instead, those changes were immediately applied to over 80 existing live products. Product descriptions were replaced, photos were removed, and unique listing details were wiped out with no warning. Because we only use Vela for creating new product listings, not for editing existing live ones, this came as a complete surprise. There was no clear indication that editing a profile would push changes to live products, and no option to preview or undo. When we brought it up, support explained: “When you apply a profile, whatever attributes are included in that profile are applied to the listings connected to the profile as expected.” They added: “You should only include attributes in the profile that you want to unify and have applied across all the connected listings.” “This is working as intended.” That may be true from a technical standpoint, but in practice it led to serious problems. Our use case was basically dismissed, and the damage to our listings took hours to fix. A confirmation screen or clearer labeling would have prevented the issue entirely. Summary: Vela is a helpful tool in a lot of ways. It has sped up our workflow when creating new products, and the base functionality is solid. But both the scheduling system and profile editor are easy to misuse, and the consequences can be irreversible. Support may be technically correct in how the platform is designed, but that does not mean it is intuitive or safe to use without deeper training. Whether these problems were user error or not, the product did not do enough to prevent them. We hope to see improvements and would be happy to update this review if changes are made.

I started using Vela for my Etsy shop and I honestly dreaded how I was going to copy all of my listings over to Shopify once I opened my own store but using Vela made it so easy to copy them all over, especially since my catalog is over 250 SKU's. The bulk editing feature is really useful, especially for photos that are specific for Etsy listings. Support is really helpful and responsive as well.

The interface and the functions of this app are great. I unfortunately managed to mess my entire store up by miss-using one of the functions. This was my own bad as I should have watched the videos better. It was a struggle to get my products back in to their original state and overall I just want to warn people to pay very good attention if you use this app. The guy in support answered very fast but we didn't manage to find a solution.

This app has solved many of the problems I've had that Shopify alone could not solve. Replacing a color chart on my 700+ listings was completed in a matter of minutes! The customer service was fantastic and answered my question very quickly! Update: Feb 2025 - still using the app to tackle tasks! My shop needed an update to the shipping method and I needed to add weights to each variant on every listing. I edited 1 listing, created a profile for the shipping info and applied to all my other listings at once. It's incredible how easy it is to use this app and the customer service is THE BEST. This app is the only thing keeping me sane with the integration of my Shopify and Etsy shops. I use another app for inventory tracking, which also allows me to create templates for different collections. I was banging my head against the wall for weeks trying to figure out why Etsy kept knocking my listings out of the category when a template was attached to a listing (I'm sure this was my user error). I was hesitant to start using another app since I feel like there is an app for absolutely everything. In my opinion, Etsy and Shopify are two separate beast, and Vela was a lifesaver for me through this transition. Not to mention the excellent, friendly customer service. If I was asking the AI robot a question it couldn't answer, a human would jump in and help me troubleshoot. I can't wait for Vela to add inventory tracking to their platform. I would highly recommend this app to anyone. This is must for any Shopify shop and bulk editing. Love it!

I've done a lot of research and looked at numberable Etsy to Shopify bulk editing and transfer software. To date, I haven't found a better made program than GetVela so much so that I've actually been a member now for 2 years. Also check out the Video library, that area is loaded with information on how to opperate Vela. On the rare occasion I needed help, Justin, the owner of GetVela always provided top notch customer service. My best advice "give it a try and compare against any other program as I seriously doubt you'll find any better. I just can't wait till Vela is functional with other platforms like Amazon and eBay which I hear won't be long from now.

TLDR: Worth every penny and easily handles listings for Shopify AND Etsy. Makes Listing creation and editing a BREEZE. I consider it absolutely fundamental for the running of my shop. I really enjoyed using the app but the price changes were far too expensive for me. When the only tools I need are to sync listings from Etsy to Shopify, 50USD a month is staggering. Especially considering I only add around 30 listings each month... I wish there was an option for limited features. I don't need AI generation or social share, I simply need to copy listings from one platform to another. I don't need to sync inventories between the two platforms. Again, I simply needed to copy one listing from one platform to another. I'll be back if the pricing structure ever changes.

I recently opened a Shopify store & used Vela to transport all my products over from my Etsy shop. Super easy to use, made it all so quick. Massively thankful for this app. AI suggestions were helpful to improve all my product descriptions in the transfer between shops. Still using it, it makes bulk editing products much easier than in Shopify, and now using it to clean up & improve all my photos. Definitely gets 5 stars from me & well worth the money I paid for it. Had 2 things I needed to ask customer support about, and both times their replies were fast & helpful. Looking forward to them adding Ebay intergration soon.

I love the Vela app because, in my opinion, it's the ONLY way to manage multiple listings in one store, or even across multiple channels. My favorite is the "Profile" and the "Bulk Edit" functions. And the genius way to link product photos to variations is the biggest time saver for me. Each of my listings has seven material options and a range of 3-15 size options. Updating these manually would be impossible and an ineffective use of my time. The best part about the bulk edit and photo linking is how I can scan down the photos and variations inventory to double-check that all have linked photos. The variations that still need a photo link have 100% transparency and stand out from those already connected (which have a degree of opacity). Very helpful! Another significant aspect of Vela is the customer support. Every time I have reached out for help in the Chat, Justin responds immediately! You can't beat that! Thank you, Justin!

I'm new to the app, but its already improved our workflow no end! It's fairly intuitive to use and the videos are useful. I've tried to do bulk edits before but have never had the ability to make as many changes as quickly or easily as this app has allowed me to do. Its saved me literally months of work. As someone who has both a large Etsy and Shopify store, the ability to integrate between the two is really handy too. I'd been using the Shuttle app to swap listings between the two stores, so I could just work on one. I'd then resorted to manual changes because I hate working with csv files but this is lightyears better. I haven't used the social aspects yet but I'm confident they'll be just as revolutionary for us I will definitely be recommending it to others

This app is brilliant! As an artist, I have sometimes felt discouraged by how time-consuming creating listings and maintaining my E-commerce shops was and how it left me little time to create more art to list. A couple of months ago, I started a Shopify sister shop to boost my Etsy shop but was worried I had taken on more than I could manage. That's when I found Vela. After learning to navigate and use all the functions I realized I found a goldmine. The amount of time this app saves me is priceless. Because of having Vela, I have enough time to be able to open more shops for "side hustles". I also must add that the user support is excellent. They are responsive, and go the extra mile to make sure any questions are answered and understood and issues are resolved. This app functions beautifully considering it is fairly new and a work in progress. I hear more great functionalities are coming which I'm looking forward to seeing. Vela is on its way to being an "all in one" must-have app for E-sellers and side hustlers.

Thought this was a great tool at first. Used it for my Etsy shop and Shopify store, but the price change aspect of it deserves 0 stars. Despite ensuring I selected every single product in my stores, it failed to change the prices across every single product, leaving me with some products increased and others not. The most frustrating part was having no way of knowing which items it had missed - this resulted in me making losses on some orders as the prices were now not high enough to cope with the Black Friday offers I gave out (thinking I had increased all of my prices!!). When I reached out to Vela customer services they were useless and didn't even bother to reply to my latest email, so I simply deleted the app and now pricing across thousands of products is a complete mess... Vela - if your system can't cope with the volume of products a store like mine has, you need to make this clear. My pricing is now a shambles and I have to manually amend pricing as and when I spot it.

I have been using Vela since its early days... On 5-6 Shops! I loved it, but not anymore... Not only is it now buggy, but the pricing structure has changed tremendously. I loved that it was a flat $5.00 per store. It made it affordable for someone running several shops. I logged in today to do some maintenance and 3 out of 6 shops will end up being $16/month. It is now based on the number of items in the shop. I know this is still cheaper than many options... But with the limitation on item updates, this makes it untenable for me. I'm sorry to leave Vela and will not recommend it to folks in the future. I guess it's back to the drawing board to find a better option.

Stay away from this app for the moment. Been working very well for a while. Then they started to update and things started to go quite wrong. It is now impossible to create listing on multiple platform, if you do, you will loose one and have to redo it anyway. The customer service is probably the worst I've experienced from an app. They made promises of a free month on their app with their new rollout of update and they instead charged me AND charged more than what the monthly amount that they advertise. When I reached out for a refund and to address the issue of false advertising they person refused to help and refused a refund. Additionally the update made existing listing have errors and issues and some of the features in the update didn't work. I told them that I would have to write an honest review. Then the rep threatened to make public my personal information public if I wrote a bad review. None-the-less I think people need to know about this so I'm risking their retaliation.

BEWARE!!! I have been using this app for a long time now with several different shops on both Shopify and Etsy! STOP --> Before you use this app, the company just rolled out a "major update" on November 1st and their update tanked all the limited features that did work before and created major problems in functionality #1 it will act like and show that you are creating new "unpublished" items, they if you go to publish them to your Shopify draft listings (not even active), it will delete the listing(s) you created. That means if you were creating a group of listings from their "create new" button, it will look like they are being created and show that an item was being created and then when you go to publish it will delete all the items from your shop, entirely! You cannot publish from create new to either publish or draft and it will delete all your item(s) not recoverable. This means if you did 10 items, added photos, video, description, etc. This update will delete all your work if you try to publish the item. #2 The new AI features do not work and will permanently delete other information within an item listing. #3 There was no improvement to the photo editing tools despite what they claim and the background removal tool no longer works for many items. #4 You cannot use many of the "new" features they added in bulk editing. You will still have to go in and manually update the items one by one even when you have selected a group of items to edit in "bulk" #4 The shop "refresh" shop button will delete or unpublish items already published in your shop. #5 The "refresh" shop button eats up your daily allowed item creation, publishing, or editing, even if you don't add, change, or do anything to any item. They require you to refresh (sync) your shop frequently to use their app and they show a timer of when you last refreshed it. It does not automatically sync with the current inventory in your shop unless you hit the refresh button. #6 They will lock down your shop when you reach a number count. For example, if you have 100 items in your shop and you hit the refresh button 10 times throughout the day, you cannot list a single new item that day as you will have hit your "1000" item a day creation/listing/update they've now imposed and didn't exist before Nov 1st! Refreshing your shop isn't creating a new listing. #7 They are offering a promotional discount right now with their update for one month free, in their emails to existing customers they said they would give one month free for those already paying for their premium upgraded subscription. Upon contacting their customer service they are refusing to honor that advertisement sent in their emails. #8 They are using the free month of premium features to auto-enroll non-upgraded linked shops into upgraded paying premium subscription services with autopay without authorization into a subscription and you have to contact them to request to be unsubscribed and have those shop(s) removed from premium subscriptions to not get charge first of December which also means you do not get the free month of premium as they are advertising. Bottomline: Proceed with caution, the limited usable features it offers can be found from other apps.

I have used it for the following; Bulk editing my prices to add on 20% vat Copied a compleat collection of 110 products with variations, edited the descriptions and moved them to a new collection. Bulk removed photos from collections. Added a new products with variants to two collections. As for using the app there is a lot of very helpful tutorial videos.

The app worked fine for what we were using it for. As we learned more and wanted to streamline our processes, we found a quicker and more efficient way to do so. When contacting support on the best way to remove the profiles we had attached to products, we were told to create a blank profile and it would override all the other profiles. We were not told this would 0 out all the inventory, change all the prices to 0, and remove all the SKUs and UPCS input for every product. Now, we have to spend days catching up and correcting all the issues to our whole online store.

On my 3rd month of using Vela now and I can't imagine being without it now. If you want to update existing products or upload new ones, this will save you endless hours and completely streamline the process for you. Their in app support is always on hand to help with technical questions and their archive of how-to videos is comprehensive and invaluable. For reference, I am the marketing director for a high volume, high value Shopify store. I have used and tested many Shopify apps over the years and this one is a unicorn. For $10 a month, we are saving 10s if not hundreds of hours a week.

In a marketplace flooded with low quality apps from developers rushing out products and features without understanding customer use cases, Vela is such a well designed and executed tool for listing creation and management it's hard not to be impressed. Everything I've tested so far works flawlessly (barring user error), and I've been using the original etsy-only Vela for a long time and never had an issue. This is also one of the few apps that gets actively promoted inside the Etsy control panel for store owners, and they don't add tools lightly. I've obviously got a long list of feature requests, but what I've used so far does the job really well.

I'm just testing a trial of this software though so far, except for a couple of additional things I would have liked to see as features, which I contacted their support about and who advised me that they're on their to-do list of features in the near future, the functionality and ease-of-editing capabilities is far better in this app than using the native Shopify Bulk Edit and standard Products screen. I'd highly recommend this app and in relation to the previous negative reviews, I hate to say it though all apps have their problems and apps that are powerful can sometimes have inadvertent consequences if you tick the wrong tick-box and "Apply" the changes to a large amount of products! The reality is, you just have to be very careful and not be asleep at the wheel when using these kinds of bulk editing tools. It would be nice to see publishing directly to other channels such as Amazon, though if that's the direction the creators will take, I'm sure they'll make it happen (I'm a software developer so know how much work it takes to develop software, even those "I just want a button that does this" type of work can takes months).

This is an AMAZING APP. It truly does what it says.... allows you to bulk edit your ETSY store and your SHOPIFY store and copy listings between both. I can not imagine the hours it would have taken me to do this manually. It is the reason technology exists and there is just no reason not to use this to save time and stress. When I say that Vela's new features nearly made me cry tears of joy, it is NOT an exaggeration. Being a one woman show, I have literally hundreds of items that just never get listed, or take a year or more to list. When I would sit down previously and list my item in Etsy and then in Shopify it would take me an hour plus for each item, so I would rarely take the time out to do so as I needed to be in the studio making jewerly instead. With Vela Create and Vela Profiles it takes me MINUTES to list something new. I can pop up a few listings easily on my laptop while I watch tv with the family instead of taking a whole day out to try to get new items up or just never listing them and losing the chance at revenue. I've used vela on and off for years and it's always been handy, but Create and Profiles are an absolute game changer. Another huge plus is Vela serving as a workaround to Etsy not allowing roles or assistants to access our shop if they are not at your IP address. I recently hired a virtual assistant in another country and she can log into Vela to help with my Etsy without the risk of Etsy shutting me down. Vela is an absolutely necessary tool for your toolbox if you want to streamline your business and spend your time where it counts.

bait and switch! first this app was free. then after a couple years they started charging. now they have changed the version I have been paying for....it now requires I switch and upgrade from my paid account...to a Pro version 2x the price. if we were with you through the developing stage and suffered some of your major hiccups ( I remember one bug that wiped all my pricing out). then you should be loyal to us long time clients. BAITING NEW CLIENTS WITH A 5$ account, that I guess isn't even offered anymore(?) only to later make them upgrade to the $10 app, not cool. as if holding back our access to an account we PAY for will be less noticeable or less outrageous if you raise our pricing in incremental steps. nope. im done

I'm new to Shopify and Etsy so having Vela to help me in connecting both shops has been a huge help! The ease of use, well-thought-out functionality, easy to follow instructional videos for all areas of use, make it a pleasure to use. Being able to set up variation profiles, tag profiles and other things you can't do in Etsy and Shopify is terrific! You get to try it out with full functionality for a full week before committing to the very reasonable monthly fee and the best part is whenever I've had a question I send a message to support and within minutes I've gotten a response. Even on Christmas Day when I stated in my message that I certainly did not expect to hear from anyone, Justin wrote back with help as he was heading to his Christmas dinner! Now that's what I call awesome customer support!! I wish there were more than 5 stars so I could give them to Vela!

I've been using Vela for awhile now and I would highly recommend it to anyone who sells on multiple e-commerce platforms. It's a great bulk product management software that allows me to manage my Etsy and Shopify products easily. I love the bulk product editing feature, variation profiles and Etsy product importer feature the most. This is a must have app for Etsy shop owners who are wanting to move their products to Shopify without a huge headache. I had a question late in the evening and clicked on their chat support button and was instantly connected with a live person. Not only did they answer, they sent me a link to log in remotely so they could show me how to do the task I was needing to do. Amazing customer service! I am so thankful for Justin taking the time to show me all the great new features Vela has to offer. They regularly update their software which anyone who sells on Etsy realizes this is important because changing products on Etsy is time consuming. These changes can be made quickly through Vela. Honestly, as long term user who has high expectations, Vela regularly exceeds them. The monthly subscription is well worth it, as it literally saves me hours of work by not having to go through and update and add my products manually. Very pleased with this product.

When we did our shopify inventory, over 700 Etsy listings were removed that we paid to activate etc. When I reached out for support, he questioned me about them even existing. Very Very rude customer "support" - do not use them. Edited to add in response: As stated in my review about your company, it was the way you treated me. If I could upload photos of the way you've spoken to me, accused me of making up our listing, bragged about your subscribers etc, I would. The bottom line is you treat people terribly Justin. You are very rude, short, cocky and talk down to people. I reached out for help and instead I received insults, accusations and smart aleck responses. That is my complaint with your company.

I've had this for a while and used it bulk edit Esty listings. Recently I've been trying to make a Shopify store and import listings using various apps and not one had everything I needed. Come to find out I already had what I needed and it couldn't be easier. I have thousands of Etsy listings with many many variants and its still a breeze. The only holdup is Shopify apparently has a variant limit of 1000 per day after you reach 55000 so be aware of that. This has nothing to do with Vela but its best to use Vela 100 listings or so at a time. Cant say enough good things about the program or Justin who was very helpful.

Great app with responsive customer support. I use this app to bulk update inventories between Etsy and Shopify. I have tried many apps to solve this headache, and Vela is hands down the easiest to use. They truly listen to customer feedback, and they have a roadmap full of upcoming updates. So many app subscriptions will take the money and run with few improvements and little customer support. It's refreshing to find a company whose developers are still involved in continuous improvement and updates.

I love the idea and really hoped that it would help to manage my hundreds of products. More specifically, I wanted to use this app to add and remove variations across multiple listings. This app allows you to use variation profiles to add/remove variations across multiple listings, but unfortunately I still have to go into every product and re-link photos to each variation. This is extremely time consuming when there are 30+ photos on each product. I believe this is an overall Shopify issue and not directly tied to Vela app, but having to do this every time I make a change to a variation profile is ridiculously time consuming so I'll be on the lookout for a better way to manage our products.

WOW That is my first impression of this app. It is going to save me so much time listing on individual channels now I can do it all on this one app, I like the look of the pages they are easy to navigate well thought out and so so simple to use. Most of my products are customised and the app even supports this which I am super impressed with. I have had to reach out twice to customer support and both times Justin done a screen share with me and walked me through the issue I was having which was a simple user error and was resolved within a few minutes. I am excited to know that they are looking to add ebay and amazon in the future. Well worth the $10 per month as it will literally save me hours upon hours of listing the same products on multiple channels. We did a share screen and not only did he give me a much quicker way to link my photos but I learned all that I have been missing out on! Very user friendly and the couple of questions I did have were answered almost immediately on a Sunday evening! This is the first time I write a bad customer service review. They are, specifically Justin, so bad to the point all of the good things from this app combined cannot make up for the ignorance and assumption they put me through. As a owner, I carefully went through each and every tutorial clips they have. TWO MESSAGES in the conversation and Justin already assumed I had not watched any video. He forced down on the conversation twice, and up until my confirmation and screenshot that I watched the video he asked for a screen recording. Be aware, this app doesn't work on text or message!!! Only via calls or screen recordings at your convenience (or theirs?). He claimed that because he had 'customers from over 72 countries', therefore it's best for you to: 1) watch the clips, and 2) make a screen shared call with him to avoid 'back and forth between chat/email' quote-on-quote. Well you know, no one gives a care how many customers the app is troubleshooting at the moment. It is part of your JD and get used to it, or ask for a raise maybe? Like Klaviyo, they queue the customers so everyone has their numbers and wait to get a full attention rep who is willing to help you, listen or text. Clearly, they just do this as a chore and don't appreciate the customers (with 21 and still counting one-star reviews with no response). If you feel like working with someone who cares, STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP.

Life changing! Simply put... this app has saved me so much time, stress, and messing around. It just does the job it was built to do. My mind is blown with this app, this has saved me DAYS worth of work with just a couple of clicks. Worst thing is that I didn't know sooner. I am using it for both my Etsy and Shopify stores. The best thing about it is that you can transform any shopify listing into an Etsy listing with a couple of clicks, and vice versa. The hours this app will save me!! I also sell phone cases and the variant list is huge, so vela makes it super easy by using the profiles function to create a master profile of all my variations which will then apply in seconds to any future new designs. I've been using this app for at least 2 years, first on Etsy and now on Shopify and is one of my favourites. It has no comparison when it comes to erasing, adding or changing images in bulk AND adding or editing variations also in bulk! It is THE BEST app out there for this. Updating inventory to a specific warehouse location doesn't work. For example, I have a warehouse in US and Egypt. If I update the stock quantity in Egypt in Vela, it ends up updating the stock quantity for US in Shopify. Haven't heard anything back from support over 7 days.

Excellent app and really good customer service. We have been using Vela for a couple of years and the features keep getting better. Its not cheap but worth the money for the time saved! We run two Shopify sites and an Etsy shop. Not only does Vela make bulk editing quick and easy but you can now copy listings from Etsy to Shopify and vice versa. For us this has been invaluable. You have to refresh the shop on vela before you start editing but as soon as you sync from Vela the changes are instant on your website or Etsy store. Really really good. When you have questions or need a nudge in the right direction customer service is always second to non. I really can't recommend these guys and this app highly enough. Really really good.

A real time saver. I have been using Vela for 6 months and love all the features. Especially, the copy option. I have 3 stores (2 Etsy & 1 Shopify). Additionally, I have used the option to bulk change pricing and sections (categories). Another time saver. Without reservation, I highly using this app (oh! the plans are very inexpensive)... Followup on April 22, 2022 I had to replace my ID & PW connected to my Vela Account. I had a Zoom conversation with Customer Support. Once again it was Super. I got lucky and spoke to the CoFounder. He couldn't have been any more helpful. It was a few clicks and I was back working on my Shopify and Etsy Stores. This experience was by far the best Customer Support I have ever received when calling a major tech company. If you are thinking about jumping into the GetVela app, I say do it. You will be very happy you did.

The last app I used totally messed everything up when I tried to transfer products from Etsy to Shopify. This is the only app I've found that works. I originally discovered Vela when I was searching for a bulk editor to update my Etsy shop listings. It works brilliantly for that, by the way, with a ton of features like bulk find-and-replace, bulk photo uploads, bulk profiles (which allow you to keep a set of tags and other attributes and apply them across products). Now, I can do the same with my Shopify products, AND sync them between Etsy and Shopify. I'll also add that the co-creator who responded to my queries, Justin, is amazing. Quick to respond, open to new ideas, and constantly building functionality. In short, this app will do what you need, faster, and at a great price point. Get it!

This app is the BEST option if you have Etsy and Shopify! It saves me so much time I can't even tell you. I just create a listing on Etsy and then copy it to Shopify within 1 click. The best feature is ability to create profiles, which mean you can bulk edit all your catalogs with 1 click to include photos, listing descriptions, prices, variables, and more. Previously I had to pay for 3 different apps to be able to manage my stores. Now I can do it with just one. And just to blow your mind even more... I've just had a question about 1 thing and send a question via chat. One of the app creator ask me if I want to chat over zoom and show him exactly what I am talking about!!!! Absolutely amazing App! I've been using Vela with my Etsy shops for almost 3 years and now opening up a new Shopify store, this has saved me hundreds of hours of valuable time. There is a slight learning curve, but if skim through the help files, it's very intuitive. I also had a small problem with some of my listings and within 1 hour it was fixed perfectly. They even went on a zoom call to hear my issue. VERY IMPRESSED! And for the price, $10 is nothing to update hundreds of products with a click of the button.

This app is the worst. I used to like it but it has caused me many problems. I went to update all my footers recently and the app added all my 382 items into ALL OF MY Collections so that I have to meticulously spend hours and merchandise everything. They never have responded when I try to write in, and ok when it was FREE but now they want you to pay. Thanks for making me pay to spend hours of my life fixing problems you created. In a nutshell: if you make a bulk edit watchou t that it will screw everything up. This has happened several time to me.

This app is the way you wish Shopify worked right out the box to help you manage your products. Ability to bulk edit anything, manipulate images, manage tags .. I haven't explored all of the functionality yet but it saves SO much time that the cost savings are incredible. Plus a lovely user interface to boot. I purchased this app so that I could more easily share listings on my shopify store on etsy. After connecting the two stores, I have been able to copy listings, in bulk, from one store to the other. Although I originally wanted to copy listings from shopify to etsy, I learned that I could also copy from etsy to shopify. In addition, Vela has saved me so much time because the tag feature has allowed me to add tags in bulk to entire groups of listings, whereas previously, I was entering the tags on a product-by-product basis. I recommend this product to anyone looking for easy way to share listings between shopify and etsy stores.

I have been using this app for quite some time now. It is generally good when the product count is low but as the product count increases the "Refresh Shop" gives wrong product count every now and then and there is no way to know what is going on. According to support, "as long as the number is higher in Vela, it's all good". There is no export utility. So there is no way for me to know why the number is higher / lower in Vela. Update: I had a screenshare with Justin and saw that All (in Shopify) and Active (in Vela) is the same. However, I would like to include the issue I faced with bulk updating description which added a lot of HTML code I didn't add and messed up my descriptions. I had to manually update a ton of products. Be careful with updating descriptions. There was also issue with changing POD for one of my products. Although I deleted the previous one, Vela didn't and the count didn't match. I'm leaving the three stars for now because I think the app has kinks that need to be worked out especially because it is a bulk update app. It can be very useful when everything is perfect but can be really problematic if things don't work. So far, price and tags have worked out really well for me.

When I decided to revamp my shop both on Shopify and on Etsy, I decided to reinstall Vela. I'm planning a Black Friday sale and I need to make sure that my one of a kind items could be listed on both platforms. Vela to the rescue. I have been able to transfer listings from Shopify to Etsy and Etsy to Shopify. Was I a little surprised when I had to pay for it? Sure, but I totally get that they were letting people use it for free while they are developing it. I was very please to see the new photo editing capabilities, now I don't have to import them into another program, I can just change them on the fly. Justin has been very responsive to my questions and issues.

If you are managing multiple Etsy and Shopify stores, this is still the best app you should use. But they should have added more marketplace before going to a paid app. It was free but no new thing was added while going paid app. This is not good marketing. Technical service is good. They respond quickly. But adding new features and improving the software is not good. For example, all dropdown options of Holidays in Etsy are not in Getvela so I cannot do a bulk update for the missing holiday option. I wrote 2 months ago but they didn't do this little update. I am paying for supporting them but If they don't add other marketplaces I will unsubscribe. I will keep 5 stars for a while.

Sure, charge something for your service, but now I'm supposed to pay for every connected store when I use the app every now and then? Will look out for something else and move as soon as possible. I tried Vela to help me manage my listings on Shopify and Etsy. It has an easy to use GUI and it performs perfectly. I have tried many sync / integration softwares and this is by far the easiest to use, the best looking, and it does what it sets out and promises to do. I can't recommend it enough. I would also point out that at $5 a shop or $10 for the plus program that is a steal. Saving even a few minutes in ecommerce is worth hundreds of dollars. You get what you pay for in life and this is a bargain. As they add more features I am sure the price will increase and I feel it will be well worth it.

Very disappointed that they starting charging for it. For Etsy stores there may be more use, but for Shopify it's one of those apps you use now and then every few weeks to bulk-edit listings. The sheer volume of apps you need for smallest edits and all charges excess for them really makes the monthly spend way beyond sense.

This software far exceeded my expectations! After paying for other bulk editors and not getting the results I wanted; I was extremely discouraged. But the only shortage I have find so far is that every time I edit the descriptions, the text format is never perfectly synced with shopify. Fantastic! I'm a new Shopify store owner and working to get my first catalog setup. After doing a bunch of products imports from dropshippers and POD vendors my first go at trying to make the default Shopify bulk edit feature work well made me want to go hide in a closet somewhere. This app is absolutely stunning. My initial purpose for this app was to modify tags in bulk to add prefixes so my theme could read them. This app blew that part out of the park except for one thing. The tagging system didn't allow the "&" symbol but tags in Shopify are allowed to have it. So I reached out to live chat, they replied super quick and told me they'll push an update in the future to support this! Amazing! Another huge huge thing I needed to do.. My store has thousands of SKUs, but I wanted to add functionality to let our customers filter based on colour. Most of our products didnt have this data so we would have needed to look at each picture individually and tag them appropriately. With Vela, we can line up products tags with their image, look right at the image, and streamline the process of tagging these products! That is my reason for this 5 star review. The amount of functionality that this app has, and it's free! This team is next level valuable in my eyes.

I use Vela to edit my Etsy and Shopify stores and I love it! It has made my life so much easier. I love how I can see things in a list format and just go down the list and change things quickly when I want to. I love the batch options or removing and adding text. Vela makes running two stores on my own much more possible. My only wish right now is to be able to add Alt text to all my images since it would not import when I used Etsify to copy my store to Shopify. I love Vela!

How could it get better you might ask. This app just works. No gimmicks. It does what it says, and does it really well. At this point, you are probably thinking, WOW! Alright, I think I need this in my life. But I'm not done!! I experienced something I thought didn't exist on the Shopify App store... I'm not going to lie, there were tears!! But they were tears of joy! Not the usual tears of pain, anger & frustration that happen far too often when trying to navigate the Shopify App Store. Vela provides actual customer support. Not like what many of you have experienced with other apps, but legitimate support. It's easily the best support experience I've ever, well, experienced. As I write this I weep now knowing that such an app exists. I live in Hawaii which usually messes up any attempt at getting support after 2 PM. It's 7:00 PM now and I had a small challenge and thought I would use the little chatbot and hopefully hear back tomorrow. When I opened it up and typed out what I needed a bot popped up and said, "Vela typically replies in under 10m.". I chuckled to myself thinking that was cute. I s**t you not, probably 6 minutes later they replied! So to recap... 1) The app is 100% free. 2) It actually works. Like really really well. 3) The support is unlike anything you have ever known. I've used this app with Etsy for years, and now that I'm migrating to Shopify from another webstore platform, I'm so happy to have it here. I've only used it on Shopify for product variants so far and they are working brilliantly. The tags I'm using to sort listings took awhile to update, but I'm finding that changes to tags just take time to process on Shopify. Having a free app to make bulk changes to product variants is simply wonderful. It just takes a bit of getting used to. You have to get your collections in order, and tag every listing according to the size or whatever is the variant. Then build the variant in Vela, apply and sync. It saves so much time and also prevents mistakes that are so easy to make if you do your variant prices manually. Making a price change in my old platform used to take hours and hours. Thanks so much for this.

This app is terrible. Price changes within shopify don't seem to sync correctly, and when you bulk change prices within the app it seems to skip over certain items, and then you have to manually go and check anyway. I looked for bulk prodcut description editors. I quickly checked the top 10 from 1 page. Many powerful but mostly at least 9$/month.. I want to keep these subscriptions down at least in the beginning - especially for such a simple tast as editing descriptions in bulk. This app seems to do that well and is cleaner looking than many of the paid apps that do the same. And this also seems to do many other things than just edit descriptions. What I would hope to have more would be automation for repetitive tasks - for free. That is already available, but usually paid..

This app is great!The fact it's free makes it awesome and nobody should miss out on it. The customer service is O-U-T-S-T-A-N-D-I-N-G!Even finding such a good customer support for paid apps is rare! There is always room for improvement but in total the app is efficient and userfriendly. One thing i would suggest though is to add a "select all" button right after you selected all products of a category and decide to edit all of them. All the products stay selected automatically when you enter into "edit all mode". However it would be better if they could get deselected all at once quickly in case you want to make individual adjustements across all the ones given in the list. Otherwise if you want to add a tag for instance, the tag wil be added everywhere although you may only want to make it appear in a dozen of them for instance.

I have spent weeks trying to edit my products, one at a time, after I used a horrible app to import some eBay listings that I had into my Shopify store that completely wrecked my products' formats. One by one, I have edited them, only to realize that I missed one here and there. Once I found VELA, my prayers were answered! This app is AMAZING! In 30 minutes, I was able to complete edits that would have taken me 12 hours previously. I did have a glitch when I first installed the app and I initiated a chat with Justin and within MINUTES he had responded and had already researched my account settings on his end before he even replied to my chat so he was familiar with my store and my products before even getting back to me! I currently have over 800 products in my store and it would be a headache to use Shopify's current product editing features...much too time-consuming. I started using Vela before it became public in the Shopify store and I am so glad that I did. Vela makes it much easier to edit all of my products quickly. I use the type filter more than anything so once I select the type I can choose to edit one, some or all of the products at once. From that point, I can make changes to anything related to those products on one screen. I love it because it saves me so much time which is paramount for a one-woman shop owner! My only issue is that at the moment there is no way to sort the filters under each category (e.g. Product List A-Z) but I hear that feature (and others) are on the way. Yay! Even with that missing feature, Vela is still a huge help in my book. Plus customer service is quick, responsive and helpful! This is the WORST app I have EVER come across! Why Shopify would allow apps of this poor calibre on their platform is beyond my understanding! This app removed ALL product images and and when using this app for bulk pricing edits, it messed my entire store! It has taken me over TWO Months to try and get my prices corrected and to recover over 8000+ Products! MY SUGGESTION TO ANYONE WANTING TO USE THIS APP IS STAY FAR AWAY!! ALL THIS APP IS GOOD FOR IS TO CREATE WEEKS OF EXTRA WORK AND BACKTRACKING ON YOUR STORE'S PRODUCTS!! I WILL ALSO BE PASSING THIS EXPERIENCE ON TO SHOPIFY AND REQUEST THAT THEY REMOVE THIS APP FROM THEIR PLATFORM AS THIS IS NOT WHAT MERCHANTS NEED!

For having a really simple UI, it's surprisingly useful. Really efficient for simple changes. The fields you can select to change are all the fields that are on the Shopify CSV file. There's even a Find and Replace

This app is awesome! I have been using it for over a year now for both my Etsy and Shopify stores and I love it. I use this app to edit captainbirthday.com. I have over 900 listings. We have been selling for over 12 years, and my listings were inconsistent with each other. I was manually editing listings one at a time which took up a lot of my time. This app is incredible. I can now edit bulk edit descriptions and prices in minutes. I can keep my shop fresh and current daily. This app is so efficient. It is one of the best out there. And, they have speedy response to questions. The customer service is lightning fast.

It might be a decent app is you could see what you were doing. Why on earth they choose to make the text a pale, pale grey is beyond me. It takes me just as long trying to see the tiny, pale grey text s it does to just edit in Shopify. Horrible design decision.

The app is decent. It makes bulk editing products really easy but I can only recommend using it if you have a small inventory because if you have a larger inventory you have to spend so much time waiting for products to load that it really kind of defeats the purpose

So dissappointed!!! It worked perfectly in the beginning. I did a few changes today and out of sudden a lot of info of my products were deleted. I have to put the price, colour of the products and quantity all over again. (so mad and dissappointed)

So grateful that they offer this app for free. I am a very tiny store and EVERY useful app has yet another monthly fee to use it and that is just not cost effective for me at THIS stage. I am finding this app to be invaluable and I highly recommend it. I would LOVE if they would add a way to bulk edit weights. That is my only hang up. Would be a huge help when I am adjusting shipping rates.

Great app, it helps us edit product descriptions when some new change require us to edit or add to the description of a long list of products - hereby it saves us A LOT of time as we can edit for all products with a few clicks instead of opening ALL products in Shopify. I especially like the "find and replace" feature. Also great support, the few times I've have had questions the support has been swift and helpful.

This app is amazing! I have used their Etsy version for a while and am so glad they have it for Shopify now too! This app saves me so much time that I would be willing to pay for it! The app is very extensive and you want to pay attention when you are setting things up to not override your info you don't want to change. The profiles options help with being able to do similar updates super easy. I have a few different sets of products that I have to update with different info and the profiles makes it easy to make these quick changes without having to program the settings in each time. Pretty much anything you would want to update on your shop you can do a lot quicker and more efficient with this app. I am in the process of moving my website to Shopify and this app made moving around 900 listings with each one having 98 variations easy to do in a few hours instead of months. I have had to reach out for help with various things and Justin is super responsive and answers pretty much any time of the day and has always taken care of my issues or answered my questions completely. I cannot say enough good things about this app!

Dev is responsive and well spoken. There is some lag with it right now, but it's on his to do list. Good free solution. I look forward to seeing this app evolve.

I have been using Vela for my Etsy store for over a year and have always loved how easy it has been to update product descriptions and various variants and prices.
