It worked fine as advertised. However, when I placed it in archive mode to pay a reduced fee it reverted back to full price and I ended up getting charged hundreds of dollars each year until I caught it in an audit. Be very careful!

Overly complicated to setup, overpriced, the base $49 plan really doesn't get you much...so your next option is $199. I'm sure it's a good app, but it's ridiculously complicated and for the money, their are far better options.

The basic version does not support custom code. The customer service team's response time is very slow, so I upgraded to the Business version. I provided feedback multiple times regarding adjustments to the form and voting styles (to better support a user-friendly experience), but the responses I received were basically all "We have forwarded your feedback to our technical team, and I will reply as soon as I have any news." The result is endless waiting. Furthermore, the team's response time is still very slow. They claim it's due to time differences, but I've already waited 24 hours without a response. Is this a time difference issue or a poor customer service quality issue? Please improve the quality of your customer service. For any company or team, this is a fundamental principle for going further and faster. Finally, you still haven't responded to my messages. I had no choice but to leave this comment here. To be honest, I am very disappointed.

EDITED: Viral sweep is great. We are on our 6th sweepstakes and they get it right every time. If i have a problem they will hop on zoom with you and fix anything you need. They are great - Coming back to change my review this is not the company it once was. Customer Service is almost non existent when it comes to solving problems - there is people to talk to but they have no idea whats going on anymore like they used to. We are abandoning these guys after this month, after working together a very long time. Started in 2021

PLEASE READ!!! Do not get sucked in by all those 5 star ratings. We've spent over $20,000 with viral sweep over the last 4-5 years, they are ZERO and I MEAN ZERO HELP, when it comes to having a problem. I reached out about a single issue maybe 10 times in the last year of their post entry page not giving a count for our customers and they just sent me in circles to find out no one was doing anything. I'd reach out and its like we've never talked before and I'd have to do the same steps over and over to solve the issue. In the end, probably costing the company more than we've already paid them. If 0 stars was an option, would have selected instead. Save yourself the headake and Money.

- Integrates very poorly with Shopify. - Web app is a bit glitchy when trying to edit/preview changes - Certain ViralSweep features that are advertised as being part of a plan are not actually full supported by Shopify and cannot be used. I read the (already extremely complicated) marketing documentation in advance to figure out what ViralSweep platform could/couldn't do. I then paid for a subscription, which I am fairly selective about and don't do often. My intention was to setup an enter to win campaign on my site with no purchase necessary. I spent several hours in ViralSweep designing and configuring this. I then went to install/embed it into my store, (a pretty basic thing that I would expect to be supported by an app like this that is in the Shopify app store). Unfortunately, my entry form/promo failed to show up in my theme despite a number of different approaches. I was told that promotions that don't require a purchase cannot be embedded into your theme. I have to say, this was a pretty disappointing experience. I'm generally wary about apps that are not "built for Shopify" and this is the exact reason. I would suggest contacting them to confirm your exact use case is supported before you subscribe. If not, just look somewhere else.

Incredible product support. Billie helped me with my promotion to ensure it was set up and working 100% prior to our launch date, the landing page, confirmation emails; post purchase actions she helped implement everything and when I had problems she was able to jump in and fix these promptly. I have given too much. Guys don't fall for this app. Neither their customer support have any idea about the product and nor the app. Sometimes it works, and next time it stops working. And every time you reach to customer support they send you screenshot of their manuals as if we entrepreneurs are illiterate. I have taken Business plan and my god, last 1 week has been a hell for me. I have to explain customer support team like babies holding their hands and every time you reach out, they come with excuse of "We will get back to you tomorrow" and I have to follow up with them to know the update. The negative reviews here are correct. It's overpriced. The basic package offers very limited functionality. The next tier is a full $150 more which is a crazy jump. If it was $99 then fine...but $199. Its madness. It really bothers me because the tool itself is good. But only big businesses will afford it.

I installed this on two stores and often run into roadblocks or have complete user error issues. Sometimes I panic when something is not working right away. 3 reasons to get Viral Sweep: ease-of-use, fantastic customer support, and high functionality. Ease-of-use: yes, the app has a lot of functions and buttons and so on. But it's all pretty simple to use if you're familiar with apps like this. I had very little trouble and there are tons of tutorials to help along the way. Awesome customer support: every time I've reached out for help, Giancarlo responds in like 2 minutes. No joke. And his responses answered all my questions and concerns. Really helpful to know that I can always get a quick response if I need something. High functionality: Viral Sweep's ability went above and beyond my expectations. I was able to track tons of valuable actions and automatically apply extra entries to customers. The app integrates easily with Shopify and Klaviyo. If you want to execute your giveaway Perfectly use VIRAL SWEEP. Support was great! The interface is straight-forward and quite intuitive. Would appreciate a feature to send out emails to customers who had purchased before the promotion was set up. These customers were automatically entered into the promotion (sweepstakes/raffle). The system can't automatically generate email confirmations of their entry into the promotion (sweepstakes/raffle).

Let me just say that no one asked me to come here and leave a review, normally I only leave reviews when I get horrible customer service but this is not the case. I am so pleased with viral sweep that I had to come on here and leave them a review. I use there app to run my sweapstakes and first off. I’ve gone from 40k in sales a month too 250k + a month in sales, given it wasn’t them that made that happen but without their app I wouldn’t have been able to do it. I did request that they add a way to mass add bonuses to specific products and they told me that they had it in the works. I emailed back saying awesome, let me know when you get that done; not thinking they would ever remember to email me back. Sure enough yesterday I got an email back saying they added it, and ontop of that they made a 4 minute video specifically for me showing me all of the new features, then ontop of that they went onto my site and did some new integrations for me free of charge because I didn’t know how to do them. This customer service is better then I would’ve ever expected. No BS when I say this, I’m a regular guy and seriously they are that awesome that I had to come here and leave this review because they deserve the heck out of it! (by the way, the guy who did all of this was Giancarlo.) again, amazing job and thank you for the amazing customer service !

This app is poorly priced, the features seem good but the price isn't helpful when trying to decide what app to use for contests. If it were $20/month it would be worth it. $200 USD/month to be able to use on 1000 orders does not seem worth it. $2400 USD/year for a feature that shopify should have as part of their platform is unfortunate. Edit: Developers response did not address the point made in my review. Im changing this to a one star review due to the fact they chose to belittle my feedback instead of considering it is valid to leave a review if something is overpriced. They belittle my review for not having purchased their app, when I fully explained in the review it is too costly to purchase. Consider this, it is $30/month to use SHOPIFY. A platform that has far more to offer than this app. This app has far less coding requirements, far less to offer, and is priced at 6.7x the value.

I just recently purchased the starter plan and expected to integrate the basics, Facebook & GA. I was unable to because I needed the Business subscription. If Shopify is a POS for you then you have to offer more clear product description for customers. "All Starter Plan Features AND," implies that all integrations would be included. "See pricing options should reflect what is shown on the App Store. If I could not connect to Facebook at the minimum, I would not have purchased the Stater plan. We have been using viral sweep for about 6 months. Easy to use and fast to set up each giveaway. We use ViralSweep to run Sweepstake giveaways to collect email data for remarketing. We see a huge ROI using ViralSweep. Once the Giveaway is set up we create a giveaway page on our Shopify store using the integration. It works very well and easy to use. We then run traffic into the Giveaway using Facebook paid ads. We have grown our email list very quickly and the store revenue from emails collected via Viralsweep is a significant % of our store's gross sales. ViralSweep is a key part of our Marketing activity bringing new customers into the brand. We typically run 2 giveaways per month. the giveaway prize is normally around $500 - $1,000. We normally receive over 3,500 entries within 7 days. We would highly recommend using this app for generating incentivized traffic to your store to collect pixel data and email data.

Had a great experience using ViralSweep. We used the basic $50/month subscription and it worked great. Had a few technical errors but were able to get them fixed very quickly by emailing the company's customer service. Giancarlo was great to us. This was the first time we have every done a contest so I was very worried about it but it ended up working great. Another reason we chose to go with this company was because several other competitor companies required you to sign up for a year or six months. As this was our very first contest, we did not want to commit to a year's subscription. Viral Sweep allows us to cancel the subscription at any time.

I am giving 2 stars not because it's a bad app, but because the price / feature structure is pretty crazy. The app really is only useful at the $399 per month level. If you don't pay that you are very limited in features... no hashtag contest, no custom editing options, no analytics, etc, etc. So if you have a huge store and $399 a month to you is nothing, then it's probably worth trying out. But if your store can only justify the $49 or $79 level then there just aren't enough features to make this app worthwhile. For less money you can get more features from other apps and services.

Wonderfully smooth and easy to use app. I was very impressed with this app and the customer support is lightening fast. The result for us was impressive. We grew our existing mail list by 977 emails and in the follow up email after the competition to this list we sold out of the item we had given away. We do believe you need to pick and choose when you do a giveaway, however if you choose to do a giveaway this is the best way to do it, with a wonderful landing page to obtain email addresses.

While an interesting idea, you better plan on paying the $49.99 to even really test it. You cannot access 1/3 of the items supposedly available to you on the free test AND you cannot collect more than 8 emails (or even see more than 8 results). My point was to test and see if there was the legitimacy of using something like this instead of just an email opt-in page. Well, I have no idea because I can only see 7 unique (1 is my initial test to make sure everything was working) emails and what they did. I will most likely pay the first $49.99 to collect data, but then I'm going back to the simple email opt-in. I can actually control my flow better since sending traffic each day to the same page is kind of a waste. On that note, several people in the 7 have enough entries to suggest they have visited the page I included (and tested). Yet, Shopify does not show anyone visiting those pages. So- either your program is wrong or somehow it is blocking the real viewer numbers. This is problematic if I choose to use retargeting. I have no idea if these people are really visiting the page or not. While you have a feature to send people to a page after opt-in, this also removes the ability for people to enter daily by clicking on the indicated page. Again, this suggests more control with an email opt-in page since I can just redirect people on the Thank-you page. I will have much better odds those people actually made it to that page as well (and then I can retarget them). The app also claims that it cannot see if people like your FB page, and a few other things now- so if the purpose is to help build up your FB page...you better get creative (while that was not my purpose, this was one of the main features touted about in some of the information I found- so I was disappointed to see that the feature no longer worked regardless of the reason.) For the record, the request to contact the app developer before leaving a negative review is crap. If I'm not happy with the app, that's the review I give. I'm not going to contact you about the inconsistencies with your free trial offer and reality. That isn't something you can fix overnight, and I'm guessing I'm not the first person to point out some of these issues.

We used this app for lead generation and thought it was wonderful. So easy to set up and integrate with infusionsoft our email marketing. We ran out contest for 4 weeks and throughout the competition we got hundreds of leads and it app worked seamlessly, not a hitch! Giancarlo was very helpful and responsive with any question we had. We used this app for our first giveaway and thought it was great. We have a Shopify store and use Mail Chimp and everything worked seamlessly. There's lots of support and demos to reference for every possible set-up scenario. We chose to add the sweepstakes as a page on our store and add extra entries for different social media actions. It's easy to use and build your sweepstakes, and to collect the resulting e-mail list. We ran into a small snag related to FB and they helped me right away, identified the issue, and corrected it. Choosing winners was a simple click of a button and it was awesome to be able to check stats and entries easily throughout the process. We were so pleased and will definitely use them again in the future.

We're still pretty early into our first Sweepstakes, but we're very happy so far. The VS platform is well laid out. When I did run into problems (mostly due to my ignorance), Giancarlo was very helpful in getting us going again. This app is part of the reason why our list has grown from 1000 to more than 5000 members in less than one month! Our Facebook and Instagram followers also increased dramatically and we are now changing the way we do our marketing because of all these new followers and leads. Thanks to ViralSweep! Doing sweepstakes is the easiest way to gain followers, like and leads and we've decided to do yearly contest using ViralSweep because it's so easy to implement. The app give you a lot of options (some we wish we had access to but need a higher lever plan) to customize your sweepstake. It's also very straight forward for us and the user who signs up. We've used other contest app in the past and none were as clean for the visitors. Even if you have a great prize, the form and layout needs to be appealing and easy to use. Having the ability to give extra entries to leads is a big plus and it's also really easy to link your different social accounts. Sync your list dynamically with a good mailing app and start targeting these new leads right away... I personally think it's the most powerful sweepstakes app out there and we're using it to run multiple contest at a time to multiple niches. The customer service is also top notch! Highly recommended!

We wanted to test using a giveaway as a way of building an email list, as email rev is important for our Shopify store. We used a low-value prize for the first test. The results have been incredible. Before using Viral Sweep our email list was about 12,000 active emails this has taken 8 months to build. I recommend this App. It offers good flexibility in terms of styling the sweepstakes entry page, and it’s a great way to drive engagement with a brand by offering (it’s an optional setting) extra points to those who engage with the brand on social media, in addition to collecting email addresses through the sweepstakes entry. The customer service is super fast and very helpful. They offer a sweepstakes guide that is a must read. My one feedback is if users could customize the color of the pop-up bar.

The app just works! Giancarlo, was more than generous with his time and explained the setup thoroughly. The customer service was exceptional! More importantly is that within 30 minutes we initiated the app we received 72 entries into our contest after just 3 days. Many of the entries liked us and shared the contest on facebook to get more entries. As to whether more f/b likes turns into more sales is yet to be seen. This app is giving an elegant and cost effective way to find out. In terms of development of new features Giancarlo, ensures me that they are busy adding more features to this app. I can't wait.
