We've been using the DingDoong app for a while now, and it's one of the best decisions we've made for our Shopify store. Getting it set up was quick, but the real power is in how much you can fine-tune everything. For our local flower business, being able to set specific delivery zones (so we don't accidentally promise a delivery to the other side of the city!) and create custom delivery time slots has been essential. We can easily block out public holidays or days we're closed, which sounds simple, but other apps made it so complicated. Plus, the support team is responsive and actually helpful. I did a lot of research into the wide range of date picker app options out there and (after one false start with another app) landed on DingDoong because it does everything we need. It's impressively flexible. Most notably it allows us to carve out all UK postcodes into separate delivery zones so that we can tag orders with the zone, apply different preparation times and present different delivery dates to our customers depending on where they are in the country. Super useful! Their support team are responsive and helpful (and patient!). Strong recommend.

I uninstalled the app after a bug caused all checkouts to be blocked, making my store loose out on hundreds of transactions. Shopify support was able to narrow down the issue pinpointing the app as responsible. Ding Doong support was not able to figure out why this was happening even after more than half a day of looking into it. I deleted the app and my checkout page worked fine again. Only install if you want to miss out on sales.

This app has made a huge difference to how we manage orders. We offer both local delivery and shipping so being able to let customers choose their delivery method and select a date at checkout has been really helpful. The postcode checker is great too with the maps API — it stops people selecting local delivery if they’re not actually in our delivery radius. What I really want to mention though is the support. I’ve used the live chat quite a few times and every single time they’ve been super quick and helpful. They even helped me change the design to better match our website, and even helped me install the maps API. It’s rare to get that kind of service. If you offer local delivery, especially with set delivery zones or date options, I’d definitely recommend this.

Every few months or so a delivery order will sneak through on a day or time that we clearly have no deliveries available. We then either have to refund the customer or scramble to deliver the order to save the sale. It continues to be a problem, Omega continues to fix it but it continues to happen (I think it's happened 4-5 times now). * Updating my review to 4 stars, part of this was on me for not seeing previous communications. I do stand by the fact that this is still not 100% seamless delivery app, sometimes orders can sneak through on dates and times you don't want them to. In this case it was because the app had not been updated.

We used this app for the year and have consistently experienced issues with it. Their customer service is responsive with communication, but their tech team has been delayed with fixing our issues. One grave issue came up in that the app was allowing customers to choose dates in the past. It took the team 2 weeks to fix that, while in the meantime we continued to receive orders with date errors. I will be deleting this app.

The support for this app is amazing. I had some minor issues fitting their app into my theme, and they custom tailored a solution for me, and did so quickly. Not only this, but they made an active effort to seek me out on other channels and provide support even when my email was not working. The app itself works great too. It functions just as described, and when combined with other apps, offered the perfect solution for a business who does local deliveries like myself. We deliver frozen food and so we use this app to make sure that customers can specify a delivery date on which their freezer will be ready to receive their order. It would be great however, if it could block the checkout button until a delivery date is chosen to prevent orders coming through without a delivery date. An additional pop-up feature to say something like 'A delivery date must be chosen in order to checkout' would be a brilliant.
