For the second time in a month I have been really let down by their support team. It is really atrocious - be prepared to go days with a broken site search if you use Doofinder. On this occasion the search bar stopped working because I had apparently exhausted my quota - the app told me I was on the free plan despite being a $61 / month paid user and they cut off the search functionality. I contacted support but all I got were messages (likely AI) telling me someone was looking into it. This really isn't a difficult issue to solve - it's an obvious error on Doofinder's side. But it has been left over 24 hours now, during which time we've spent marketing budget towards website users who cannot use our site search. Last time we had to wait 3 full days to resolve a simple issue that broke our entire site search. I recommend looking elsewhere.

This is an expensive app - you would expect good support to warrant such high costs. Unfortunately the app is littered with bugs which render it useless and support is non-existent. They don't reply to your tickets. This is highly frustrating when you're paying for something that just does not work. I'm happy to update this review if someone ever comes back to me, if not I recommend you AVOID this app!

496% COST INCREASE 496% COST INCREASE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS I have been a customer of Doofinder since 2021. When I signed up, we agreed a €25 per month price for the lifetime of the contract. Without consultation, they increased the price to €149 per month — a 496% increase. My usage would actually qualify for their €49 plan, yet they still placed me on the €149 subscription. When I challenged the increase, Doofinder responded by saying they could no longer meet my expectations, even though my expectations have not changed since the beginning. Early customers supported this company but it now seems like greed has replaced loyalty. I also submitted a GDPR data request, which they have failed to comply with. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company in any way.

Nonexistent Customer Support Extremely disappointing experience with Doofinder. The app itself might have potential, but it is completely overshadowed by what can only be described as nonexistent customer support. After installation, I encountered several technical issues and reached out multiple times. Responses were slow, generic, and ultimately unhelpful. There was no real ownership of the problem, no meaningful follow-up, and absolutely no sense of urgency — even when the issues were directly impacting sales. For a paid app on Shopify, where search functionality is critical to revenue, this level of support is simply unacceptable. You expect a reliable technology partner, not silence when it matters most. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it. When you need support, there’s no one there.

Intuitive, fast and by far the best search tool for large catalogues, we have been using Doofinder for over a year now, recently we had a theme upgrade and it caused some issues with loading, there customer service is second to none and the issue was addressed and solved so quickly, thanks to Tau, Victor and the team.

"DooFinder Support is NON-EXISTENT and many Glitches/Issues" We've had Doofinder set up(enterprise level, so we had EVERY feature at $108/month) on our site for nearly a year now (started 8/23). Although the interface seemed great at first, it wasn't very configurable with our large catalog of products (about 400 visible and 200 non visible). We had random glitches where all products were seen by our customers. Once our rep (Lindsay) left the company, any and all support was impossible to get in contact with. As for the promised "AI" feature, there's nothing AI about this software. We finally decided at the 11 month point to cancel the subscription and I contacted our rep. Crickets. I contacted support. Crickets. I finally went into Shopify and halted the subscription after not hearing from DooFinder support for a two weeks. I contacted, re-contacted through various POC's for a refund for the last month. It wasn't until I reached out to executive's at Doofinder that I every got a response. I was told, no refund since you used the service. Well, I wouldn't have if you would have answered my 8+ emails/forms. Previous review when we set up the account: Lindsay helped us get all set up with DooFinder on our Shopify store. It's been one of the best additions to our Shopify account to date. It just brings our search bar to life and gives so many controllable options for our customers. The banner ads are also a big plus - gives an additional space for promotional items or related products/services. The on boarding process was super easy - it did everything on it's own and after about 48 hours, we had some solid analytics from our real customers. Thanks Lindsay!

We tried this app, but unfortunately, we had some issues especially for the mobile devices the search widget would load after a 1-2 seconds delay. And if your store experiences a high number of sessions per day, it might become quite expensive since the cost is based on the number of requests your store makes. Since our store has the around 150k monthly sessions and after installing this app for a week this app made a request of around 55,000 requests. We were on pro plan having 100,000 request per month and the price was $130/month approx. We later had to increase the limit to 200,000 request per month, which significantly increased the cost. And there is no immediate support for the emergencies.

Very bad experience. Very satisfied at the beginning, but the problems soon piled up. Images are not visible when searching, and they cannot solve the problem. I've been emailing for weeks now, and they don't read the content of the emails. So be careful! I wouldn't recommend this app.

I can honestly say that this app has transformed the usability of our website. We got called about a trial just at the prefect time when I was frustrated with the native search capabilities of default Shopify and the vast variation of our products and about to search for a solution, either through an app or looking into getting something customer built. I am so glad we went with it because it not only have customers been loving how they browse our website again but also the staff find it a breeze to use, even when they don't work with our online inventory. Lindsay was amazingly helpful. She took the time to answer my concerns and all of my questions with clear and concise explanations. Anything that she couldn't answer directly, she consulted their team and got back to me so quick. We've had it live for a few months now and I don't know how we didn't have it before.

Works very well as a smart search tool for our customers, which is very important for us as we have several thousand products with minor differences and their search shows the relevant products well, even if the consumer mis typed something or put in a typo. Having checked out the site search competition, we recently trialed Doofinder and we are now pushing it live on our ecommerce site. As a business we can be quite demanding but Byron was always ready to commit his expertise, time and patience to make sure we were fully confident that Doofinder was the right choice and that we were working with a company that understood our requirements and didn't just see us as a monthly cheque. Byron & Doofinder dealt well with some early technical glitches which bodes well for the future as they remained approachable and solution-focused throughout this trial and configuration phase. We are looking forward to optimising our Doofinder configuration even further going into the busiest part of the year, to make the most of a lightning fast and clearly very intelligent system. Happy to give 5 stars at this stage. If I had to point out one area of improvement, I'd say the reporting is a little sparse in comparison to the competition but excellent core functionality at a responsible price, trumps reporting every time.

I am giving this app 5 stars primarily because of one particular Doofinder support person. His name is Radu and if you are so lucky to have him as your Doofinder liaison, then you have struck gold! If the rest of the Doofinder staff are as amazing as Radu then this is one very lucky company. Radu practically led me by the hand from start to finish during the Doofinder orientation. We explored every awesome nuance of the app. From basic search parameters to the program's comprehensive analytics tools. Now, given that I am not the most up-to-date, erudite fellow around, Radu has to be given full marks for his patience and understanding while teaching me the ins and outs, but he persevered. I've still got more to learn but daily I'm blown away at the advantages I have now have in terms of being cognizant of who is searching for what and from where. This app has great potential and is certainly a game changer for me!

I always thought that a search bar was a search bar, but was I ever wrong! Doofinder takes search to a whole new level and helps customers navigate our 1000 SKU webstore with complete ease. After only a few days it paid for itself with numerous sales that resulted directly from a Doofidner search. It was super simple to integrate and the few tiny issues that crept up were dealt with immediately by their support staff. Shout out to Lindsay who is an excellent account manager! She did a great job explaining the features and benefits, was totally on top of everything during onboarding and made the whole experience a total joy. This is only my second month with Doofinder installed and I can already see the benefits. There is a lot more interaction on my website, time spent on it has increased and this will all help with SEO. It makes it a lot more user friendly for the customer to navigate their way around too. I have yet to get into all the added features but the guys at Doofinder are incredibly helpful. Liam was by far one of the best agents I have dealt with on any platform. No sugar coated sales jargon, just plain simple facts on Doofinder and to be honest, it sells itself. The opportunity to trial it for free for the first month is a testament to that.

After a move to an entirely new online template for my website, I had an overwhelming amount of navigation programming to do. It kept getting pushed back due to other pressing priorities. Resulting in a significant decrease in online sales! It was at this time the Jorge from Doofinder reached out to discuss the benefits of the Doofinder app. The timing could not have been more serendipitous. I am typically a skeptic of all such calls. But Jorge was easy to talk to and there was no pressure and his product was exactly what I needed. He suggested I take advantage of the 30d trial. I did! Our site has thousands of products, so needs really useful search functionality to find it all, and Doofinder does that for us perfectly. It has many useful features that we had not even thought about beforehand, that we now cannot do without, such as combining synonym search results, banners, and dynamic reranking to highlight specific products at the top of search results. Also, the redirection to pages on your site that wouldn't come up as a product in the search results is incredibly useful. Shaun from Doofinder helped us a lot with getting to grips with all the features and was very attentive to our requests for help or information, only a phone call or an email away.

I am cancelling my service. Too bad, it was good while it lasted but customer service seems to be lacking once they have your money. I even pay for the upgraded plan and am paying $129 US per month. I tried a 30 day trial with DooFinder and I was really impressed with the results! I'm going to try it out for another 30 days but will most likely integrate this app permanently. DooFinder is extremely thorough and their customer service is excellent. I 've never had any trouble reaching someone for assistance. Salaiman has gone over and above and even set up a screen sharing session with me to help me better understand the app. The back office is well set up and easy to understand. You should give them a shot since it's a 30 day free trial. I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

This app was great until sales stopped as the product stopped working. I called my sales rep several times at the number on his contact page. There was no answer and no way to leave a message, I sent three emails to tech support with no timely response. I then emailed my sales rep directly, and he returned my call. I was only made aware of the DOOFINDER failure when a customer called saying he could not find a product. I tried to search for this product and other products only to discover the app needed to be fixed. The loss of revenue highly aggravated me, and I conveyed this to my sales rep. He then laughed at me, saying I was the first customer in the U.S. with this problem, as they knew many European customers had this same issue. My sales rep. blamed Shopify for the issue, saying it was utterly Shopifys fault the app did not renew and had stopped functioning. DOOFINDER wiped their hands of any responsibility only to offer two days of free usage and to create a brand new account, starting all over again. Another major flaw with this app is that it does not allow you to create the correct related products relative to the product found. WARNING if you want to constantly keep tabs on the performance of the app you are paying a premium for then this is the app you want. DOOFINDER is unreliable and not functional. WARNING stay away for this application!

Nicole is great to work with - she has been a big help in setting up Doofinder for us and has gone through each feature in detail. So this review is not at all a reflection on her, she gets a 5 star rating. I do wish it was it wasn't so pricey, the basic plan price compared to the pro plan price is a bit of a jump and there is a lot less offered with the basic plan. I would give it 5 stars if the basic plan offered at least half of what the pro plan does (with perhaps just less monthly requests), at the basic plan price. To only get one of the many features shown in the trial period is a bit disappointing considered it costs a minimum of $35/month.

It's a great idea and I'm sure it is beneficial for a lot of businesses, but it has not provided much benefit to our business. Our online store doesn't generate a lot of sales - we do more business synced to eBay and Reverb. When we first got started, our rep, Matheus, was very helpful and reviewed the dashboard and all of the options available. I did work on some things to improve the search for our store in the dashboard. The search feature is nice with the extra filters, but it hasn't led to an increase in sales and our website's theme already has a search bar built in - at no extra cost to us. So we feel like it wasn't worth the expense and uninstalled it this morning.

Running on multiple shopify stores now - They even linked under one login to make it easy to manage... They have a great support team to answer any questions you have... has LOTS of features and tweaks to adjust how it serves the results... Can also change the look of the whole interface with some CSS help from their team... Their AI adjusts the results the more people use the search to make it more and more relevant to increase the conversions. Looking forward to see how it works through the holiday seasons where we are sure to get more stats to review to help us tweak things even better.

This is app is amazing and so was the level support of I received from my rep JP at Doofinder in getting this all set up on our store. Before Doofinder, the search functionality on our website was very limited; if anything was typed incorrectly, the visitor would get our Oooops! Page. Not helpful! Now, as soon as the visitor starts typing, an array of options appears as if by magic. Plus, there are metrics as well as other features to improve the customer experience and get them to our products faster.
