I used this in 2023 with good results, decided to use it again for an SMS campaign. The app is glitchy, random lines of code are often in the app and changes don't save consistently when I am creating messages or popups. Additionally, I tried to use their template automation for a winback campaign I am now on my 3rd conversation with support because the triggers aren't set up right. Unimpressed with the app, especially for the price.

I LOVED Postscript. And then this year they instituted a new monthly charge in ADDITION to charges per message sent. I enjoyed the $200 credits plan for years. Then they MADE me choose the new pans, even though I had credits through March 2. Not happy. I had to uninstall to receive my refund.

Updating my review from a few years ago as customer service has gone downhill or almost nonexistent. Technical products like this that are prone to glitches need actual customer support. I reached out via email in November and it took days to hear back. Who wants to go back and forth via email over the course of days when it could be solved in minutes? And replacing it with AI support is a leap backward.

I gave it a try and here is my assessment of the app: It has good ideal features, two major issues: 1. Techs support is terrible. If the question cannot be answered from the AI support system, then no human will contact you. I'm still waiting. I give it credit, the AI system is good, but not that good. 2. No dynamic cross syncing between the app and the the SMS Shopify users. Meaning, if a user signs up through Postscript, the Shopify profile is not updated. If a user signs up via Shopify, then you have to manually import. This needs to be dynamic.

I thought I liked Postscript, until their customer support team told me I was able to cancel and out of contract before I apparently was. The fun part, they do not include your contract anywhere in their platform billing, so if you have been with them for three years like I have and decide you want to move on - you basically have to dig through files to ensure you are out of contract (which for me was yearly and rolled into another YEAR LONG term). The day before the next billing cycle starts I tried to confirm I am uninstalled and won't be charged in February, but the joke is on me. Turns out their customer support is terrible. Don't use this service.

Dont fall for their scam.... This app advertise a plan at 0$ but they charge you 25$ even if you dont use it and refuse to refund it. The use a loophole of advertising free but its not free its 25$ a months even if you dont use it. I downloaded it and wanted to see the features but I didnt use it and they charges me 3 months which they refuse to refund. Such a bad customer service and business model it should be illegal to advertise a 0$ plan if its 25$ minimum that you are being charge anyway

I thought i experienced bad customer service. This is by far the worst. Horrible customer service. Would not recommend it to anyone. The sale tried to get me to sign the contract but they have 0 customer service, especially for the lower plan, I am not sure about the other plan. Also, people seem to be not knowledgeable. I want to get out of the contract.

Postcript is billing me for a service that I have not had or used for several months. Their loophole to refusing to resolve this issue is that the service is installed on my website. If that were true, I would be able to uninstall it, correct? However, I cannot uninstall it because it isn't installed. This is resulting in them continuing to bill me month after month for a service I have no access to. I don't know what else to call this but fraud. I've been emailing their rude customer service agent for days with no resolve, and they are dragging this out to continue billing me.

Be careful. They will lock you into a contract and auto renew it with no notice. We wanted to cancel but unfortunately we were about a week after renewal date. Instead of understanding our situation and charge a prorated fee or any other solution, they were asking a $7,392.42 buyout fee. They don't care, no exceptions, whatever your circumstances might be. We are stuck paying for this app for another half year even though we wanted to switch back to Klaviyo.

Their terms on rollover credits is not obvious. You have to read their terms of service. My bad for not doing so but I reached out because I spent $200/month for 9 months not knowing and trying to stockpile my credits - so $1800 and they were unwilling to help me recoup any of my wasted money or credits.

Postscript is a wonderful SMS app, very sophisticated, and relatively easy to use with their awesome customer support. We had a smaller SMS base before, but now with Postscript, our base is growing, the segments and templates are easy to modify to our messaging, customers can text us back, and the SMS tools are boosting engagement with customers and overall sales. The live chat feature is prompt even for us in the east USA! Onboarding was a breeze and chat support gave us the confidence to develop more campaigns and try new engagement. This app is amazing! It has increased sales so much! My customers love it. I wish I could get all of my mailing list to move over to text message. (I'm working on it) Conversions are great! Customer service is top notch. I am very happy with this app! Update: 5-28-24 I have been using this app for 4 years and it has been great until recently. I installed a new template and had a grand opening event. I had over 10,000 credits and the system said that I did not have enough for my campaign. It sent out 2 text messages. It prompted me to pay $51 more for the campaign. I refused because I had enough credits. My grand opening was ruined. I contacted support and they responded but not helpful. I’m bummed that I have to look for a new app now. Such a hassle.

At first the platform may seem a little overwhelming because of all the functionality, however it quickly becomes clear that there is no better SMS marketing platform than this. After a couple sit downs, you will begin to appreciate the layout and the customizability. Additionally, the customer service is A1. Taylor is literally the best. I had a very vital (but small in hindsight) issue with my sms list transfer into Postscripts, and when I wrote in the chat, she responded in 10 seconds. Not only that, but she stayed patient with me and workshopped the issue the entire time until it was sorted. That is the type of service you stay loyal to. Give her a promotion.

I have been a postscript customer for 1.5-2 years and I would highly recommend not using them. I've found other service providers who give 100x better service at a much lower price. I'm perplexed as to how this software has a 4.9. They have been charging us for 6 months even though we expressed that we want to unsubscribe. Post billing us for no usage for 6 months, after uninstalling the app they have billed us almost 2000$ in a month. I am deeply disappointed in how shopify allows such companies to bill us in such a fraudulent ways. Topping all of this off, is their support who will never try to solve the problem and will reroute you to their sales and legal teams who will only try to retain you for longer by baiting your own money. I've not found such a terrible app all my life and I would caution any shopify owner on using postscript.

If I could give this app zero stars I would. My company has been using this app over a year and the experience is the worst. Taking money from small business owners and not delivering is the worst form of business practice. Whenever we text our customers the messages are not being delivered but your company is getting compensated. We reached out to customer service to get a resolution and instead of assisting my company we received the run around. First off, the pricing and more importantly, the customer service from Postscript is vastly superior to anything out there. Theyre always available to help with things when needed. For the most part, the user experience is pretty self explanatory and easy to build campaigns with. Most campaigns take like, 20 minutes or less to put together. It's not quite 5 stars for me simply because I've spent an hour designing 2 separate flows with responses to customers replies and both times the campaign never completed. The most recent of these went out to 6.8% of my list when it was supposed to go out to 100% of subscribers. It was a huge waste of my time and due to the time sensitivity of the message, couldnt be sent out later. Just be aware that the service isnt fully functional ALL the time.

Shiny modern app but it does not sync well with Shopify and it is deceptive. They don't mention that "international" SMS is 10 times (yes TEN times) the cost of US SMS. It's not mentioned on their app listing nor on their pricing page, only hidden away in the documentation. By international it literally means any other country so if your store is strictly restircted to US you're better off with one of the other SMS apps.

What a great app to start with your SMS marketing. We had no issues during the installation. Setting up new SMS campaigns was very easy and straightforward. Postscript is by far my highest-revenue generating channel aside from organic social media. It's super user-friendly and available at a great price. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY/APP Postscript is stealing from their clients. You guys literally had to tell us lies just to make us sign a contract with you. If a customer pays for a certain amount of credit then that's exactly what they should get and they should be able to use it, when and how they like. You guys wipe off people's remaining credits(THEIR HARD-EARNED MONEY) so they can purchase more with your stupid "rollover feature". So unethical of you! HOW DARE YOU! WOW Meg is amazing!!! It's hard to get good customer service on message chats, and with most company chats I've often had to stop the conversation to confirm that I'm speaking with a real person because it felt like the people chatting with me were not paying attention or reading my full replies. Completely opposite experience with Meg. She understood what my concern was right away, asked for the relevant information needed, and also looked up my account on her own end to understand the full details of what was going on. She told me what she thought was happening and how she could help and also reached out to her manager to confirm her findings. She then followed up with me the same day with an update, and then again early the next morning with a conclusion on what they had found and what was going to be done to remedy the situation. Updated: Tried a couple of different SMS apps. PostScript was the winner in features and support. Their live chat support is always fast to reply to help with any immediate issues. Unlike other chat support where you have to wait in a queue of 20 or more, I've never had to wait more than 1-2 minutes, if that. Fantastic app. Has all of the features you would expect. So far so good, easy to install and set up. Alot of the automation is completed already which makes getting up and running really simple. The only tricky part is understanding the cost per message (160 characters = 1 SMS, 1600 Characters = 1 MMS message). However once you have that understanding adjusting messaging and making the right choice about which type of message to use is a breeze. Great customer support as well!

We've been using Postscript for about 2 years now and it's a great affordable SMS service for small businesses. Compared to other SMS marketing services out there (Attentive and the like) that charge 10x or more, we feel that Postscript provides 90% of the functionality of these other large providers. Over time PS has improved their services (e.g. Flows) that now I feel it's likely just as good for a fraction of the cost. Highly recommend PS if you're a small biz getting into SMS marketing or even if you're a larger one that's more established that needs to get up and running ASAP>

Postscript was recommended to me as the leading SMS platform for Shopify, and they have some good features that are hard to find. However, the honest truth is I can't say Postscript is reliable enough to recommend. It's littered with bugs and frequently either fails to send automations or sends them in error, which is a real liability to our communications with our most valuable customers. I've probably spent weeks of my time as a founder working with their support team to resolve bugs and problems with their product. Customer support was initially helpful but frequently fails to follow up and requires reminders from me to solve problems. A recent issue with Postscript caused an order to initiate without a customer's consent, and 7 weeks later we're still waiting on an explanation or resolution. I've worked on software startups for a decade and cannot understand the poor technology execution at Postscript. They are abundantly capitalized, with a large engineering team, and the product cannot be relied upon to do what it promises to do.

I was experiencing a few issues with my Klaviyo/Postscript integration, and the customer support team at Postscript is unlike any other support team I've ever worked with. Every time I use the chat feature, someone responds immediately and actually sounds like you're talking to a friend. The team has gone above and beyond to help me solve my problem (including sending screenshots and asking really good questions). Usually with other customer support teams, you create a ticket that is answered in a while in a vague/scripted way. HUGE shout out to Faith from the Postscript team for truly acting as an extension of our team and helping expedite approval processes for us. Faith tried MANY different solutions to try to assist and I appreciated her persistence and resourcefulness. Highly recommend knowing you WILL get the support you need.

Don’t get involved with them. Postscript was amazing. We tried multiple SMS platforms- we finally felt at "home" Peter helped us get setup and he was great. Then we worked one on one with Joe, his patience and knowledge to get the most out of the app was amazing. Then we kept getting passed from person to person and now- now they won’t strategize with us monthly at all. Seems like they have a ton of turn over. Ran and operated very poorly. Not iPhone friendly.

It's pretty awesome!!! It's much better to use than Klaviyo's SMS. Which I think that Klaviyo does well with email. But Postscripts does very well with SMS sign ups and really engaging. The only thing I'd like for them to change is their dashboard and the way we can view subscribers much easily.

When I first signed up for Postscript, I really liked it. Simple, easy fair pricing. I then took a break to try Attentive as I was offered a really appealing rate. I shut off Postscript, but noticed even with no texts going out, that every month within the first few days, it said all my credits were used.....which was not possible and the "sent texts" reflected this - 5,000 credits gone, with 0-124 texts sent only. Support said this is an "a typical issues" and they couldn't find the reason I was being ripped off. Their solution, was to push me to their new pricing plan which was $500 for all the same features.....a TOTAL SCAM. Disgusting. Their team wasted my time and although nice, were not very professional or accommodating. Attentive offered me upfront a much better pricing structure, I am not sure if I can share publicly so I will not, and we are a small company. Each site the bill is around $50-$150 a month. Honestly I am so disgusted with this company. Their software has an error, ripping me off, and they want ME TO PAY FOR it by switching to their new billing system which is $500/month for the pro plan, to have the same features I currently have. Sadly after somewhere around 3 years, I will be canceling all our Postscript accounts. Disgusting. One of the worst scams I have ever been exposed to. How many people actually keep track and audit texts vs credits? You should! And they wanted to switch me to an uncapped pay as you go model for 10x the price...yah, ok!

The app is incredibly user friendly. It's ready to go out of the box. I installed it but then didn't get around to customizing it for a couple of weeks. Then I discovered it was bringing in a lot of sales. By default, right at install, there are 5 flows preconfigured for you, even with engaging gifs - without making any effort to customize yet, all I did was activate these out of the box flows and they led to sales. The customer service is extremely responsive. The interface is very smart but also flexible, unlike some competitors. I'm currently testing additional apps, but so far, Postscript is the winner in all areas.

Really easy to set up, straight forward dashboard meaning its very easy to navigate and edit to your taste. I have used Postscript for 1.5 years now. We have had TONS of issues, but support was usually there to help. I should've left the app months ago when campaigns were supposedly sending (and I was paying to have them sent), but no one was receiving them. Postscript brushed it off like it was a one time error and fixed campaigns. Without me noticing that no one on our team received campaign I would have never know it didn't get sent out correctly. However, that is not why I would not recommend. I would not recommend because since we started with them we always had the same short code... A short code is text blank number with blank word to sign up for our texts. We noticed that although people would text the number our list wasn't growing.... turns out another brand with similar name purchased our short code, so they were getting all of our subscribers. Postscript NEVER told us that our short code was no longer offered by them. We emailed them to see why our short code wasn't working and they said they are no longer offering them. We would need to pay $1,000 A MONTH if we want to use our short code that was previous free. They said they sent emails letting people know short codes were going away, but I did not receive a single email. This is a huge deal and not something that should've been emailed or brushed off as not a big deal. They should have had a pop up check box in app, so that everyone had to acknowledge that it was not being offered anymore. I personally think they did not inform their customers because they didn't want a mass amount of customers leaving. Unethical in my opinion. Overall I would not recommend. I would recommend Klayvio or Attentive.

Went with this company because they were labeled as the 'underdog', more personable with lower prices. While these are definitely true, they have beyond exceeded my expectations in just less than 1 week! Great support from launch to ongoing scale up. They are there every step of the way. Prompt, engaging, and knowledgeable. I like the credit based system so I always know where I am on my budget. We had a bad experience with the first SMS provider we tried, but Postscript addressed every issue we had. The integration with Shopify is well-crafted so you have complete control and can do sophisticated segmentations. SMS with Postscript is shaping up to be perhaps our biggest marketing win of the year.

As a brand-new user of SMS apps like Postscript, I can say one thing for certain – their customer support is top-notch. I messaged using their chat feature. Porshai from Postscript responded promptly. Over the course of 45 minutes, I then proceeded to bombard her with 13 detailed questions about functionality and settings. She answered each of them in a complete, thorough, and easy to understand manner. I could not be more impressed with Postscript’s customer service. In fact, the day before I emailed them with some simple questions and received a prompt response also. So far, I really like Postscript. It’s very robust, easy to use and it appears to work flawlessly in my tests. While I give Postcript’s customer support 5 stars, I have to rate the overall app as 4 stars for one reason. It lacks the ability to sync email addresses into the Shopify customer database. I don’t need Postscript to do any email marketing for me, but I do need a way to automatically sync customer email addresses it captures in its email pop up. Let me explain - the way it stands now, a customer completes a Postscript pop up entering their email address, however the customer’s email is not synced with anything so I have to manually download a CSV file within Postscript then manually upload the emails to Shopify’s customer database. The only way around this is to integrate Postscript with Klayvio and Klayvio can auto-sync the email addresses into their email marketing app. I checked SMS Bump and they have the same issue – you need Klayvio to auto-sync emails. Perhaps Zappier can work to integrate Postscript with Shopify’s email database but I have to look into it. In summary, if automated email syncing between Postscript and Shopify is not critical for you and you don’t mind uploading the captured emails yourself, then I highly recommend Postscript and give it 5 stars – and if you have any reservations, reach out to their customer support which I am sure will be amazing.

In the last 30 days, Postscript has generated almost $15K. We've been using them exclusively for text and sms marketing for about 2 months and LOVE LOVE it. So many reason to love it. The integrations with Klaviyo and Recharge are fantastic. Plus the Postscript team reaches out, takes the time to suggest other automations, and sets them up for you. Sean from Customer Service is particularity talented at this. I started on the lowest subscription but have since bumped up to paying $800 a month....but I'm making $15K and can tell from codes that the attribution is pretty spot on. UPDATE: Jan 5, 2022 - Postscript continues to be an integral part of our marketing. Andrew, my rep, brings me fresh ideas to make my text marketing campaigns really sing. Recently Porshai from support helped me so quickly, I was like, "Whoa". Everything is easy with Postscript. They truly feel like part of the team.
