The 7-day free trial feels far too short, especially for growing businesses that are actively building their brand and need more time to fully test and set up all features. Additionally, customization options feel somewhat limited or uncertain depending on your store's setup. The biggest downside has been customer support—responses have been very slow, and in some cases, I haven't received a reply at all. Improving support response times and extending the trial period would make this a much better experience for new store owners.

I was charged twice by Tidio. I provided clear proof directly from my Shopify billing showing the duplicate charge, and even after acknowledging that the payment had been taken twice, they still refused to issue a refund. What makes the situation even worse is that I am now locked into a contract with them while trying to resolve an issue that should have been straightforward. I escalated the case multiple times, yet nobody seems to genuinely care or take ownership of the problem. The only responses I received were from automated AI agents claiming they “hadn’t heard back from me” and asking me to reply if the issue was unresolved. After replying, I then received another automated message saying the ticket would be closed because I supposedly had not responded. It feels like an endless automated loop with no real human support involved. For such an expensive company, the customer service experience has been extremely disappointing. Everything appears heavily automated, with little to no access to real agents capable of properly handling billing disputes. Sadly, I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

We upgraded to Tidio after reviewing the information provided on both the Shopify App Store and Tidio’s website, expecting the free trial to allow us to properly test the features and chatbot functionality before committing long-term. Unfortunately, after only one day, the bot stopped functioning the way it initially did, and many of the limitations and billing details were not clearly explained upfront. One of the biggest concerns is the inconsistency between the pricing and features shown on the Shopify App Store versus Tidio’s actual website. The plans, billable conversations, and included features are presented differently depending on where you look, which created confusion during the upgrade process. We originally switched from Chat Live to Tidio because the Growth plan appeared to offer similar functionality with additional tools and automation features. However, after discovering the actual limitations and differences in functionality after upgrading, we are now seriously considering returning to Chat Live, especially since it provides many of the same core features with clearer expectations and pricing transparency. As a business owner, transparency matters. We expected the trial experience, pricing, and feature availability to be clearly explained before upgrading. Instead, the experience felt misleading and confusing rather than straightforward and business-friendly. We hope Tidio improves transparency between their Shopify listing, website pricing, and actual feature limitations so businesses can make informed decisions before committing to a paid plan.

Tidio has a feature that upgrades your package automatically. This is in theory a good idea during Seasonal sales. However, it doesn't downgrade automatically after that. Extreme seasonality is a known fact in E-Commerce, so it's undeniably bad intend by Tidio and was probably developed as a cash grab instead of convenience for small businesses. They upgrade you once your numbers rise and enjoy the extra profit if you do not downgrade manually afterwards. Who doesn't love it to micromanage your plugins regularly on top of your customers, thanks a lot Tidio. Always love to work with companies who specialize in f*ing over their customers instead making a good product. Due to known fluctuations in this kind of business it's undeniable this was developed having that in mind. Therefore bad intend is also undeniable. Either that or complete incompetence, both deserves a 1 star rating.

I am absolutely amazed by the AI Lyro Chatbot. We have a complex product line, and customers require their products to fit within our packaging and ask a lot of "will this fit" size questions. Lyro has handled these questions accurately and provided instant product suggestions, resulting in customers placing orders. Before this, a customer would have to wait for us to research sizes and write them back hours later. All of this was done simply by Tidio connecting to our Shopify account.

Die Antworten sind katastrophal, sogar die Produkte, die wir am meisten auf unserem Shop verkaufen, wurden dargestellt, als ob sie nicht verfügbar wären. Katastrophe!!! 40 Chats mit 40 potenziellen Verkäufen hat er uns ruiniert, mit Antworten die niemals eingegeben wurden. Ich bin zutiefst enttäuscht. Ihr habt mir mein Geschäft ruiniert!!!

I installed this app yesterday, so that I could chat live with visitors to my site. The app says it can't scan my site for info, and when I set it to scan specific pages it doesn't load. the loading wheel has literally been spinning since last night. Also it pulled contacts and chats from my other website so now they're all mixed up. Deleting this app. I will try something better. Oh and the AI bot runs you around in circles trying to fix the issue.

A well designed app, we have a website and the app is used only on our website to have Lyro interact (chat) with people, visiting the website, and the customization is great, when a difficult question is asked and Lyro can not answer with the resources provided, then it is possible to add manually an answer for that question once detected, then Lyro can use the answer in future interactions, which is great. Very useful, amazingly capable app, despite I am not using all features the app has, I would say it is worth it to have it. And on top of that the support is always there to resolve any issues possible.

I'm still just getting started with Tidio, but I already recognize the potential. It allows me to have a central ticket tracking system across live chats and emails, so I don't let any support emails fall through the cracks. The support bot is also going to decrease my support volume for common questions that can be answered by reading documentation and FAQ. Tidio is great at pointing my customers to the right resources. I would love to see the option to integrate Lyro with Discord and pull in tickets from there as well.

We've tested a few platforms now all with AI integrated. Most of them can be very hallucinatory in their responses and then there's a mad scramble to get back to the customer to give them the correct information. Its early days with Tidio but in our testing it's been absolutely spot on with all the questions, some of which have been quite technical. What I do like is that if its unsure then it will actually handoff to a human, but ask for information to clarify responses to future similar questions.

So far, I'm really liking the app. I'm using Tidio on two different stores one for an e-commerce and one for a teaching website. Their training model is the best that I found so far, perhaps not quite as intuitive as a ChatGPT but that said they do get pretty granular so I like that. I think that ticket system could be improved, but I don't need it for that. I'm really only here for the chat bot capabilities, and also the integration with the Shopify environment.

Lyro AI was fairly easy to train using data from our website. With Actions, customers can check the delivery status of their orders. Setting up the integrations with your different platforms is easy and straight forward. It helps if you set up a knowledge base, but it's not required. The system will actually identify questions it doesn't know the answer to and attempt to answer them based on responses you provide to customers through the platform. It will ask you to review additions to the knowledge base as new questions and answers are discovered. The AI responses feel more natural than a lot of other AI tools I've seen. The responses become tailored to your environment pretty quickly, too. Overall, great product.
