Nice App - a few things that really stood out to us about Zakeke: - Directly tied to the order: The finished design is linked straight to the Shopify order — no manual back-and-forth sending files around. - Huge time savings on setup: Without Zakeke, we would have had to build the entire designer ourselves. This let us launch extremely fast, with far less development effort. - Multi-language support: Since we need the designer in both German and English, it was great that translation just worked out of the box. I am setting up a new store and had some questions about the options. I spoke with Goran and Gaia and both are awesome to get support from. Setting up Zakeke is very easy compared to other customizers honestly. I look forward to working with them for long term. There are lots of features the app provides and you can add so many cliparts and assign those cliparts to different products. Amazing!Thank you!

1) The customer service is barely available. Like the other apps, there is absolutely no chat option available. You will have to figure it out and it is complex. If you email them, they will respond after 24 hours and the response I have received is very lame as if the representative is just trying to avoid answering and not being helpful. 2) This app is very expensive. 3) There is a lazy loading. There will be buffering and it is super slow. 4) If you have problems with the orders, good luck as the customer service will be of no use when the time is of essence. 5) You will have to wait for a single email 24 hours and when you have follow-up question, you will wait another 24 hours. I may look into inkybay or customily.

This app appeared to be everything I needed and I was very wrong. I've never seen an app try to nickel and dime their clients so badly. Customer service is slow and unhelpful. They'll give you one answer to your question and then contradict themselves with a different answer to the same question; then offer to charge you an additional fee with a different app. I have invested a large amount of time into customization and I am now willing to throw that effort away and find a different app. I recommend to continue your search for this type of app and move along. Stay away from this product.

Great app with extensive features. Integration into shopify is quick and easy. Customizable products can be created from existing shopify products, so the plugin can handle variant products and stock levels. It has many options to build pricing structures e.g. based on print type, print size, quantity and more. The front end is designed well and doesn't feel like an external tool at all. We've tested several customization plugins, and this one finally has all the features we need. Plus, customer service has been really helpful with a few details we were missing.

The seller tools were excellent, but the buyer experience had some frustrating issues. I shared my concerns, and what really stood out is that the Zakeke team—including the COO—personally reached out to understand and address them. Since then, we’ve been working together on improving key parts of the experience, and I’ve already seen meaningful changes. If you’re a seller and run into challenges, don’t hesitate to speak up—Zakeke listens and genuinely works with you to improve the platform. While it can be pricy, the combination of robust features and responsive support makes it worth it. It’s not perfect yet, but it has a lot of potential, and I now feel confident recommending it.

I was initially very excited to try Zakeke, as its functionality seemed perfect for automating and streamlining our customisation workflow. Zakeke promotes "Printing Methods" as a core feature — to quote their own description: “This is where you can create a printing method and assign it to one or more products, sides, or even variants.” However, after setting it up with a Print-on-Demand (POD) integration, I quickly discovered a major limitation: you cannot assign additional Printing Methods when using POD. This was a dealbreaker for us. The app markets itself as both POD-friendly and focused on advanced print configuration — but in practice, you have to choose one or the other. If you opt for POD, you lose access to what Zakeke itself calls a “core” part of the platform. It’s frustrating. We were hoping to use Zakeke to automate and control our custom print setup, but instead found it lacked the very functionality we needed most. If you rely on POD, be aware: you won’t be able to create Zakeke’s Printing Methods. That said, - their support team is very responsive and provided quick assistance when needed.

App works well. 3 stars because if you use Coreldraw, corel doesn't recognize the font when you import the svg. ( I did ask for help with this and they said it works fine with Illustraor etc..) This then causes a huge issue of figuring out what font was used. You can use Inkscape to figure it out but at that point I can do a layout way quicker. If they figured out the Corel issue this would be a great app. So to save my sanity I think I will be deleting it.

The program is great, and the features are excellent. The downside is that if something goes wrong with the app on the weekend, there is no customer service to get you back up and running. That's money lost until someone reaches out on Monday. On top of the monthly fee, the transaction fee adds up if you do a lot of sales.

The app is a development in the right direction. I´d like to have a live chat, the integrations need a bit more work than the current documentation is capable of explaining. It would be cool, to have a page for feature requests. The front end of Zakeke Customizer needs to undergo a small redesign, hopefully asap. It would be better if we had bigger buttons for the 2 main functions:´upload photo´ and ´add to cart´. Also a missing key function is to twist the print-area, so that clients who are uploading pics in horizontal format, would be able to twist the print area to horizontal or portrait. Im excited how the company envolves and if it will become a long term App that i will be using for my shop. Overall its recommendable, but you have to be technically versile as of now 14.11.2023.

Great tool so far. Very odd that simple things aren't allowed in the beginning plan like Bulk Variations. If someone wants to customize a product but add a different name to 10 of the same design, they have to make 10 products unless I want to pay like triple the money per month. Also, I don't understand why they don't have a warning that certain options cost more until AFTER you've already spent time setting the option up and getting it ready, you go to hit save or publish and THEN it says you have to upgrade your plan.

Absolutely one of the best product customization tools available. Their support team responds quickly and is very helpful. The feature set and integration with Shopify is excellent and customers love the design tool. If I had any issue/request, the production data they provide is good if you are doing one-off products. But for large print on demand sites, you will need to integrate with Zapier since the data they send back to the Shopify order is fairly limited. However this is a minor complaint and for high-end site selling customized products, this is the perfect addition to your Shopify site.

I love this app. We do some personalization of some of our products and the way it integrates on the homepage makes it easy for the customer to design his favorite product. Also when it comes to the workflow, it is easy to use and helps me to have a lean process with all this data that need to be managed. When I had a problem, the team was always helpful and could resolve my issue in no time. So if you are doing personalizations there is no better option available for shopify to my knowledge.

Easy to implement, listings are set up in minutes, and the backend handling of the production files simplifies the process of pulling production files for production. I really wish I could have gotten your app to work, it would have been a great addition to my site. The site I have available for viewing is not what will be launched, but unfortunately it does no look like Zakeke is interested enough to help out the little guy. Too bad, you have some good ideas, but no way for the average person to implement them. But then maybe that’s your gig, just the monthly cash until total frustration kicks in. Hope I am wrong, but if I am you might consider revamping your customer service.

Nach ersten kleinen tapsigen Erkundungsversuchen, wie die App und der Personalisierer genau funktionieren (was aber sicher eher auf meine mangelnden Englischkenntnissen zurück zu führen ist) - komme ich super mit der Anwendung klar und bin sehr glücklich mit den Optionen der App. Da ich immer die Möglichkeit einer Personalisierung anbiete, kann ich hiermit dem Kunden ein viel besseres und schnelleres Einkaufserlebnis bescheren. Ein GANZ großes Lob muss ich auch dem Support aussprechen: nicht nur, dass sie sehr schnell reagieren - sie sind sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und liefern tolle Arbeit. Egal, wobei ich ein Problem hatte - sie haben mir direkt und unkompliziert geholfen! Dafür noch mal 5 Sterne und ein Plus :)

CAUTION! If you try this app and then choose to remove it much of the code is left behind. In addition all of your collections will have an additional filter for "zakeke" left behind. Was a bit worried about moving away from my other personalizer app as I was comfortable with it but I'm so glad I did, the functionality front and back end is fantastic and production wise, its 100% better! great app and customer service is always on hand. I have tried and tested all the personalizer apps on shopify and even moved away from shopify but came back and used Zakeke. I have not used the 3D modelling yet but will do soon. Another amazing feature which is time saving is the integrations, the zapier tool allows me to have my ready to print files sent straight to my dropbox so no more time consuming work, just quicker and faster production!

We tried many personalization Apps here in the Shopify App Store, but sadly none of them hit the mark for us nor the customers. After hours of searching, we found Zakeke. After watching their promotion video we knew we had to try out Zakeke. Zakeke in a nutshell: Pros: - Easy to set up, user friendly - Customer service is very responsive and helpfull - Has great futures the more you pay (the prices are quite high, but what you get is insane) - Easy to use for customers as well - Works excellent on mobile (any software; Android, Apple etc.) Cons: - Even tho it's friendly to set up, Zakeke is still a Shopify App which means it can break. It has a few bugs here and there but that's "normal". You can't expect a perfect App. I've used Zakeke for a few months now, and I finally can say (after many e-mails) that it works like it should be now. But that is to be expected. - Translation in Zakeke itself is quite rough, we suggest you keep it on English if you use Zakeke for the most easiest experience.

I had access to this app for 6 months and paid their awful support team to install and set up the 3D modelling system, which cost approx £1.8k in total. The setup never got completed to a standard expected at the start of the project. I have near enough 80 emails trying to sort out this mess with their support. Constant problems and painfully slow to get resolved. Never mind the fact the platform is unstable at best so good luck if any issues arise on Friday night. You wont be selling for a good few days. A waste of 6 months. Don't bother with these guys unless you like a headache.

Great little customizer app. Really easy to set up products and tune the user experience. Really useful that it allows you to create ornate shapes to use as image masks and there is a lot of features you can turn on and off. The application was not user friendly and we could not get anyone from Zakeke support to assist. Shopify made several attempts by emailing them but they would not contact me as support. Zakeke is a 3rd party application and Shopify does not know the functionality of it. We attempted twice to use the application in less than 15 days but to not much success. Finally, they billed me for a year and now is refusing to return my money . This really is a good example of poor business . I will now file a report with my bank for the return of my money and if that does not work, we will seek litigation.

In theory, this app works well. In practice, the app does not work as advertised. Apparently there are significant limits to the number of variants you can make available to customer (number of colors, sizes, etc). The customer support is non-existent and despite providing credentials to both my Shopify and Printful accounts, they've not been successful in showing me one situation where this app allows customization of a product and seamless creation of an order with the Printing partner. Turns out you need significant edits to your theme to make this work properly and to create customizable products as digital products that don't require shipping or weight thereby causing many issues for shipping. Overall, I wish this worked as advertised but it doesn't. The technical support is abysmal. Consider yourself warned.

November 2019 - UPDATE The app is working properly. I just had an issue and Nicola fixed it in less than 20 mins from my request (today is BLACK FRIDAY). Really amazing support, thank you! Ok, I am dealing with this from months. I just casually played with the customizer as a user (front end) and I just discover it's not working again. I have a plus subscription, I bought the "remove background" add-on. I based some campaign on the fact that this tool was running and working, but, again, it's stuck. I cannot test it every day and maybe I am just really unlucky, but so far I cannot say it's a fully trustable app, above all if you want to invest money to promote this "web customization" service on your website. The app it's very cool, the design is the best, but I experienced too many issues here and there. The support it's always ready to help, but "front end" issues are too hard to catch for me, I appreciate the support when there is a back-end issue, but I am really disappointed about the fact that I discover only casually front end major issues. They never send an email or an alert when something is not working for front end users. I think this is unacceptable. I hope it will be more stable and consistent in time with its basic performances.

Its been a few months since we started using Zakeke and we feel like this review deserves a revision. We have a love-hate relationship with this app, i gotta tell you, this app is very technical (at least for our purpose). If you are a web-developer working for a client (store owner) then be prepared for a challenge! Please don't panic, we still rated this app 5 stars even with all our complains. Lol. First of all, if you have zero "computer" skills and you have no idea how to use Photoshop and you need to search online what is a .OBJ file, please do yourself a favor and stop reading - this review is not meant for you. Hire a web developer and ask him to read this review on your behalf. Ill continue assuming you will understand what ill describe ahead. Zakeke is an intermediary interface designed to allow direct customer interaction (for the purpose of aesthetic modification) before sending a product to the cart. Zakeke will not draw the product from your store inventory, so instead the product have to be created in Zakeke then placed on inventory for your customers to select and customize. Zakeke will automatically embed a "customize" button on your product.liquid so your customers will see the option to customize the product on the product page before sending the product to their cart. When a customer click on the customize button Zakeke will load your presets for that product and take the customer to the customization interface from where they can customize the product and send it to the cart. Sounds good, right? Well... here comes the "challenge" part. The easy way to work with Zakeke is drawing products from CustomCat and/or Printful. Don't worry, there is an option on the Zakeke dashboard to help you do that. Pretty easy - really. But lets say you want to add a product manually, lets say a product not available on CustomCat or Printful, perhaps a product you can source yourself? Well, you will need to take your own pictures > create mask layers on .PNG > then "build" your product on Zakeke. This process has to be done by an expert (on photo editing) otherwise you will end up with a bad looking product on store display or with a mismatch on your product-mask for the customization interface. Zakeke will take and display .OBJ files for mesh rendering but does not includes a 3D editor. You need those files including your textures before using its 3D function. Zakeke does not includes pre-rendered objects or textures. This app has a learning curve and i believe they could have done a better job assembling the UI, however patience can be rewarding with this app. I gotta say this app is pretty unique on Shopify and will open a door of possibilities that your customers will certainly appreciate. Just plan ahead, learn how Zakeke works and take your time asking question to support - they always answer, and that's great because the app does not need to be perfect, it need to be functional and they will help you along the way. I strongly recommend Zakeke and this is my honest review after many months of trial and error. The Zakeke app has given me new hope for increased sales! Having vector art as an output will greatly reduce my production times. Many other customizer apps do not produce vector art, so this is huge. I absolutely LOVE this app. The team continues to advance the features and make improvements. FUNCTION: The product does work well, albeit with some limitations. - It would be nice if we could select different printing methods for different variations of products. - One odd thing: Every time a customer customizes a product, the customized version gets added to our Shopify store as a new product. Not a big deal, but odd. Other than this, Zakeke has integrated very smoothly with our site, and the mobile-friendly version works very well, too. PRICE: It should be noted that .eps and .pdf support is paid extra; by default, the paid tool only supports .png and .jpg files. SUPPORT: Phenomenal customer support. I was looking for an app like this for months, glad I found this one. The app is so easy to use, in the back end and the front end. I love that the app is customisable exactly for your needs. Integration is pretty seamless, I had one very minor problem with the code on my website and the support team helped with this immediately, they’re very fast, efficient and polite. They are committed to constantly updating the app and making it better.

I've used all of the product customizer apps on shopify - ALL of them. This app beats them in every way. It loads faster, has better options, is easier to understand during setup, has excellent help manuals and support is pretty quick, looks good on the front end (includes easy theme editor to match it to your store so you don't have to fiddle with CSS and liquid files), is all around sleeker and less glitchy. Thats not to mention the 3d preview option which for the speed and clarity of it is quite frankly ground breaking. The real reason why I'm switching several of my shopify stores over to this? - The price. It is priced fairly and in a manner that they want you to grow and succeed. They aren't just trying to recoup their money, they see a long term investment in your functioning business as the better option than large outlandish fees. Massively impressed with this app, i would recommend anyone who is current;y using another personalisation app sets aside an hour to test this out - its all you'll need! I genuinely want these guys to become the biggest custom product app on the app store because they've done such a good job.

Zakeke is easily the most user friendly designer on the market. Extremely customisable by both store owners and customers and your customers don''t need any graphics knowledge to use the designer. I had no trouble installing it and setting everything up was also fairly straightforward. Staff are super helpful and replied to my couple of questions within hours. I cannot recommend Zakeke highly enough.
