How to pick between them
A ranking tells you which review apps other merchants kept. It cannot tell you which one fits your store. These are the things that actually separate them:
- Judge.me carries 44,120 reviews - more than any other app on the platform - and 9.1% of its ranked reviewers run stores in the global top 100,000. Okendo carries 1,329 reviews and 57.6%.
- This is the single clearest case on the App Store of review count and reviewer seriousness measuring different things.
- The complaint profile is close to platform normal: billing 16.9% against a 16.4% baseline, and no theme far from norm except plan limits at 6.8% against 4.5%.
- Install churn is almost flat at -0.18% a month. Once a store has reviews in a tool, it stays.
- 71 of the 439 listings are review importers. Importing reviews written for a different product on a different platform is a decision with legal and trust consequences, not a feature.

On reviewer data, two apps stand clearly apart: one with 1,329 reviews at 57.6% of ranked reviewers in the global top 100,000 and a median reviewer store ranked 66,414, and one with 4,392 reviews at 54.1% and a median of 79,539. Every other app on the shelf is below 15%.
Do review apps slow down product pages?
Iframe-based ones usually do, because they load a second document per page. Theme-rendered apps add markup instead, which is lighter. Speed complaints on the shelf overall run 4.7% against a 5.6% platform baseline, so this is a per-app question rather than a category-wide problem.
Why is this the most-reviewed category on the App Store?
Because review apps ask for reviews, and a merchant who has just installed one is being asked by a tool that is good at asking. That is not a criticism - it is a structural reason to weight the reviewer data over the review count on this shelf in particular.
